I dont understand. Is nostalgia dead, or appreciation for the past? Which ironically is wild considering Im reviewing a museum but can anyone enjoy anything familiar, or revisit a part of their childhood for crying out loud? The museum didnt need any updating, the Omni didnt either. It looks like a planet fitness! Isnt the whole point of a museum to be historic!? Everything doesnt need shiny new plastic and paint. All my memories, the cool exhibits from my childhood were first to go but now the Omni has to go to? I dont understand why what once was isnt good enough anymore. So disappointing to see everything leave and change unnecessarily. Cant we preserve, appreciate and love anything the way it is without thinking it needs to be torn down and updated? I loved this museum, we were members for a long time and it was so sad to see the old displays start disappearing but I loved the entrance to the Omni and the waiting ramp. Please dont say yall are going to get rid of the helicopter over Fort Worth at the beginning of the show! Im just so sad to see everything I grew up with just be erased where I cant share any of it with my kids.

Wonderfully curated displays with helpful volunteers throughout. Variety of indoor and outdoor (giant bubble making station!) spaces to enjoy for some quiet time or a snack. Amazing childrens interactive themed playrooms. I could have spent the whole day there. Outside the building, many bronzes to appreciate as well.

A long-time fan of the museum, the last few times it has felt like a let down. There are quite a few broken interactive exhibits. I dont feel like there were a lot of good explanations or real museum exhibits for the kids, just the play spaces. And those are crowded and kind of poorly executed (not enough supplies, not well kept or organized, felt like I never saw staff). Overall not a great experience but hopefully theyre working on things.

Its always a pleasure to visit the Fort Worth Science museum. The exhibits rotate regularly and its always educational. When we went, there were several schools visiting and the chaperones did nothing to keep the kids under control. It really detracted from the experience. The gift shop is now gone and that was disappointing too. However, the planetarium is now included in the admission. We even got an early showing about black holes. It was super interesting.

I lost $10.00 and all the gas and time going there. Am very unhappy that it wasnt posted on the web site and the guy that took our money for parking after I told him where going he could have said something about being closed and at least saved me $10.00 ! This is one experience that I try to visit every trip back home to Texas. There s nothing like it. The sound is incredible and that fact it s a dome shaped screen and so huge that you have to turn your head to see, I feel makes it the BEST out there. Saw Panda a few years ago and thought I might get kinda bored. I definitely did not get bored!! If anything I always wish the film were longer. I use to come here with my school on retreats. Then we would eat a sack lunch at Roy Rodgers park. It s magical.

And as awesome as rescue dogs are... I found myself bored and half falling asleep. My suggestion is to play the popular and more educational films... The Apollo is cool and so is the water themed ones. The rest of the place is awesome to look at, read about and walk around. Plenty of spots for kids too!

They also have a 3D movie in which the seats shake and roll about the Barnett Shale and how it developed. They have real dinosaur skeletons assembled, and a wonderful exhibit on space and Apollo 11, and much;, much more. You could spend an hour or all day or 2 days in this museum.

Its been years since Ive been to the Omni Theatre, but a friend of mine has never been. So much has changed it was difficult to find the entrance to the theatre. It was 5-9$ just to park. The theatre chairs arent friendly for people with wide hips and are very uncomfortable. The picture was alright, but you can easily become distracted by the lines in the wall or the movement of the video. It is a unique theatre, but I would just rather go to a normal one. The museum is a great spot for children and always has events.

Wish there were more actual dinosaur fossils. I remember that being so amazing when my kids were small. We waited in line upstairs to see the planetarium only to be told we had to go back downstairs to buy tickets. This caused us to miss the showing. Would be nice to be able to purchase a ticket in that area.

The museum itself was great. I did not appreciate the museum staff. I took some kids there for a field trip and I was given conflicting information about where we could eat. We took another group of kids the day before, and they were able to eat inside the museum in the caf. When we went, we were told we had to picnic outside in the grass. There were people who had brought outside food and they were eating inside the courtyard (that had shade). When we tried to go there, we were sent away to the grass. Mind you, there is ZERO shade outside and it was well over 100 degrees. They should be more accommodating, especially when the weather is so severe. Very frustrating to have 30 4 year olds be outside in that heat.

Its a unique experience to say the least. I will say that its probably better with movies that are meant to be shown on the dome. The sound is incredible and the theater itself is cool, but I found myself annoyed by the lines on the screen from the sections joining together. Again, incredible for things meant to be on that screen and I would highly suggest experiencing it (I. E. Tornado and space documentary films). But I wouldnt suggest it being the go to for big budget blockbusters.
