Love their happy hour (3-6). Margaritas will have you feeling GREAT! My favorite day is Wednesdays, $10 nachos & theyre (normally$17). Personally I prefer the chicken but the ground beef aint too bad. For an upcharge you can sub any of the other meats available. The king is the $5 Margs, preferably the rocks but the frozen is the same price & theyll knock you on your a*#.

Had a pleasant experience here! We got the fried avocado, blackened fish, shrimp, black bean and cheese , & the crispy mushroom tacos. Our favorite was the blackened fish. The fried avocado taco wasn t actually fried it was just regular avocado. The chips and salsa were okay, the chips were good but the salsa lacked flavor. We also got the corn dish with mayo and cheese which was pretty good but a little burnt. The jalapeños were amazing! They were actually spicy! Our server was really attentive and offered great service!

We met some friends here before a concert at Dickies Arena. We dont live in Texas so we were keen to try a local restaurant. We had a great experience. The food and margaritas were great and it was the perfect place to meet before the concert. The staff was friendly and gave us great suggestions on what to order.

9/17/2024: In Town for the Fortnite Competition from 09/05-09/09. On 09/05, we found this place near our AIRBNB. Stopped in for a bite. Started off with the loaded nachos, as well as chips and salsa. They were both laid out on a half sheet pan. We didnt realize it was so much food for the six of us. We had the al-a-carte tacos. You can get them as a plate, which comes with beans and rice. The food and service was great. Very few customers at the time. On 09/07, we returned. We ordered the loaded nachos again with more tacos. This time the service wasnt as good and neither was the food. Many more customers this time around. I guess it all depends on how busy they are at the time. The overall experience was pretty good. Didnt care for the long wait and the cold food on the second time around.

I can only describe this place as mediocre. My carnitas tacos were tough and lacked flavor. The Pastor has kind of a funky sweet flavor. Stand outs were the chips and fire roasted salsa. Rice and beans were on point. Sad to report that the sides were better than the tacos. Steer clear if you are truly a Taco head. The name doesnt live up to the hype.

We had queso, a wide arrange if tacos and a quesadilla..our server was attentive and even though it was hot, kept the water glasses filled. Im sure they were getting overwhelmed with the influx from the games, but most of the food is similar and the 1 plus hour wait seemed excessive for what amounted to fairly mediocre tacos that should be fairly easy to prep.

The place is very nice and in a very good area. The service was very average, the waiter did not know the menu well and was somewhat rude when serving. The food was far below what I expected, the tacos lacked much flavor and were of very low quality. The price is not in line with what I received.

Nice outdoor patio across from Dickies Arena. Margaritas are between $10 - $12 with fresh squeezed lime juice. A pitcher of the house margaritas cost $50. I enjoyed the brisket tacos and made it a plate, +$.75 for frijoles charro.

Went there for lunch today with my mom and what an experience it was between constantly fighting flies, sticky table that didn t feel clean @ all given the times were in I d think they d be up to par with their cleaning. Food was good but god only knows how many flies are in their kitchen and the margarita we had was horrible tasted like lemon juice! I used To love coming here and it continues to fall off and disappoint. If you want lemon juice and fly swatting during your meal then you ve def found your spot.

Stopped by here before a show at Dickies for a quick bite, but we left pretty disappointed. We all ordered a margarita, and after waiting quite a while, the waitress came back and said the bar lost the ticket and they were comping the drinks. To us, that meant we would still get the drinks, they would just be free. But the more she spoke, the more we realized they meant they just weren t going to make them. We were confused and annoyed at this point. Then the manager came by and offered to make to-go drinks for us, since we had a show, and we accepted. Also, while all this was going on, my husband never received his nachos that he ordered, which we informed them about. We assumed we would get comped drinks for the inconvenience and the nachos taken off. Neither of that happened. We were in too much of a hurry to get the bill corrected. We understood that they were busy and mistakes happen, but they handled the situation poorly and obviously didn t know what comp meant.

The waiter and food were both great. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla. The environment left much to be desired. Several flies entered the very small inside dining area, which meant that my party and I were swatting flies the entire time there. This took away from our conversation and overall dining experience. Taco Heads should really invest in a bug zapper. Lastly, the restroom there has a stench like none other. It needs to be bleached and deep cleaned.

Went here to eat after a concert. 1 street taco is $5 . For one small taco it was really good but that s a bit insane when food trucks charge $5 for 5. They were closing soon I think which we didn t realize but they were very short w/ us & gave us the bill before we were even done eating & were kind of rushing us out. I still felt hungry after.

I was so disappointed in how the quality of this place has gone way downhill! . This was my go to spot from 2012-2019. I moved away but was so ready to come back. I had been telling my friends I HAD to bring them here to try and then when I did, we were sorely disappointed. Kitchen area smelled terrible, like deeply unclean. Bathrooms were dirty and stinky. Food was extremely greasy(!!!), unflavorful and loaded with sad wilted vegetables. Even the hot sauces were not as good - not flavorful at all. The drinks were also just ok, patio was dirty and servers were either absent or hovering. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Stopped for a quick lunch after visiting the Cowgirl Museum. Fast friendly service. We started with queso and chips. I enjoyed the pork pastor with pineapple and chipotle brisket tacos. Stopped here for food, seen better service at a cemetery. Waited around 10 minutes to get a cup of water, got told they would be back to take our order and nothing happened had to get up to the bar to order a drink and that took even longer (Still couldn t put my order in) and waited another 10 minutes for an actual human person to take our order. Rather than ranting I would suggest that servers help out the bartender by taking orders instead of plopping their drink orders and running away like it s Black Friday, as having the bartender taking orders and mixed drinks could lead to a build up . Not sure if this was done to save on costs but it s definitely biting into the efficiency this place is operating on

The food was decent, but the shrimp tacos were dry because they no longer offer the aioli sauce. When asked about the sauce the server seemed confused and treated the question like it was crazy to even ask. They eventually brought us extra sauce. Our waters werent refilled until we asked and the restaurant was not busy. Also, when we received our check the server was reluctant to give us the paper receipt and there was a delivery charge for $12. Later we found out this was for gratuity. So BEWARE of this before leaving an extra tip for your server.

I was so excited to try this place and was so disappointed in the service. It wasn t busy at all and we had 2 toddlers and we re being so patient but the waitress was so rude and I had to ask multiple times for stuff. My drink was never refilled. When we went to pay, no receipt was given so I could make sure everything looked right, and so I asked for one. On the receipt it said delivery fee which is actually gratuity. I have no problem with built in gratuity, but it was deceiving with the label and it also explains why she didnt give me a receipt to check. All in all, I will not be back and will not recommend this place.

My husband and I were thrilled to find this spot having just finished a concert at Dickies arena. We decided to sit and have a beer and a couple of tacos until traffic died down after the event. We were seated promptly and our server was efficient and friendly. She served us our tacos promptly and they were tasty. When she served us another beer, I asked where the restroom was. We covered our new beer with fresh napkins to indicate we would be back in a second. When we came back to our table, it had been cleaned and a new couple were sitting there. I told our waitress and she apologized and said we could sit at another table in the middle of the now crowded and noisy seating area. I saw that the new people hadnt been served with drinks or anything and i told our server that we would like our original table and if she could please re-seat the other people. She then got the hostess who was very rude and told us we could take a new beer and leave or speak to the manager. I explained the situation to her and she got the manager. The manager came practically running to us and told us that we can take the new table or leave and she told my husband,who is Latino,she give would give him his tacos back. She nor her staff would take accountability for the mistake and made us feel like we were being unreasonable. I felt slighted and didnt appreciate the condescending attitude of the staff. Ive never been treated so poorly in an establishment before. It turned our great evening out into a big drag. I hope in the future they can handle a situation like this in a more friendly and accommodating manner and not feel discriminated against.

We got there at about 11:30 am on a Sunday morning. It took over 15 minutes after we sat down to get someone to come and wait on us. After they did, we found out that they had no queso (even though other tables around us had queso and it says Tacos y Queso on the windows). We asked how long it would take to get some queso, the waitress went away and when she came back said it would be an hour for them to have some more queso. We went ahead and ordered some food. It came out fairly quickly and it was ok, but nothing great. We will not be coming back here in the future.

No one at host station (though about 30 min later about 5 ppl gathered there) walk in to bar area bartender sat us, gave us menus (perfect opportunity to offer one of the best margaritas that they advertise, but no.) Waitress comes and asks what we want to drink (another opportunity to offer best margarita). When I am asked what I want to drink I typically order water, but it was time to get happy so I ordered a beer. Decided on a crispy taco and the roasted corn and avocado taco. The tacos arrive, cool to touch. I was sitting outside in 80 degree temp expected the food to be at minimum warm. I didnt get a crispy taco, it was on a corn tortilla (misunderstanding on asking the avocado and corn taco on soft corn?). The tortilla tasted like a store bought LaBanderita corn tortilla out of the bag (which is a decent tortilla, but was expecting something better), the ground beef was lacking a lot of seasoning/flavor. The roasted corn tasted like the frozen roasted corn you can get at Kroger with char marks, but no flavor. If you want a better taco than Taco Head, go to Jack in the Box. If you want a real taco on fresh hand made tortillas, well seasoned meat then go a bout a mile from stockyards

Good food, abysmal service. I could do a Ted Talk about everything that our server did (or, I guess, didn t) do. From the dirty menus to the lack of fresh waters, the 2 servers we encountered didn t seem to care about our table (one of them literally walked away from us mid-sentence and the other one I had to track down in order to pay our bill because she hadn t been to our table for over 30 minutes). I chose to get the taco plate. You can mix and match if you choose. I had a chicken, a brisket, and a carnitas taco. A side of Charro Beans comes with it, and you can order rice, too. The tacos were pretty big, and I couldnt finish the tacos and the sides, too. Also got queso Blanco, which was tasty. The chips were freshly made. Thats was a big plus. Tha beans were very tasty, and surprisingly, the rice was very good. This place reminds me of a beach cabana type spot. Its also right across the street from Dickies Arena. Very convenient. Id recommend a stop, and its worth at least consideration for a good lunch.

As others have said, the food is more greasy than expected but it is very tasty. The chips and salsa are perfect if you don t like spicy. The salsa is a great mild with a bold flavor! The food was more greasy than expected but pretty good. The jalapeno margarita was just okay. It had a little too much mixer and lime. I appreciate tasting the actual tequila which I could not. The presentation on it was good though. The chips and salsa in queso were really good.

Let me start this review by saying I traveled here from CA. We came in a group of 12. I ordered the loaded nachos with steak. The waitress was kind enough to give us a heads up that it was a large portion. We decided to share. They came out they were good. We thought they were missing something so we ordered a side of refried beans. Also the shots are huge. Everything is bigger in Texas right ?

Delicious tacos, loved their crimini mushroom taco. Carnitas and fish taco was really good as well per my friends. Very cool ambience and the staff is amazing, always accommodating your requests with a huge smile. Their house made salsas were bomb, omg, I had to ask them to pack me some.

Coldest day of 2024. Only 1 outside heater worked. No more than 2 customers in the place. Hostess would not seat us next to the heater because it was not that waitress turn. Seriously??? This Taco spot is directly across the roadway from the Arenas. The staff was friendly and attentative. Food was ready within 10 mins of being ordered. Location is completely outdoors with accommodations for various weather events. I was in the area and needed something to wat so I just grabbed a couple of tacos. I do like the twist of using cabbage instead of lettus on beef taco. Parking: Free parking lot onsite most times. Limited to no street parking available. Paid parking may be enforced on days with Arena events. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is level to parking lot allowing easy access for wheelchair or scooters.

Good place to get yummy tacos. We were sat quickly. We asked to sit inside, and where we were was small. They had a spacious outside area where most people sat. We started with queso and thick seasoned chips. We ordered several tacos: a La Texacana, Mama Castillo Chicken, Egg and Veggie, Chorizo, and Achioti Steak. All delicious. And a Mexican Coke. Taco Heads has got to be the most hit-or-miss restaurant in Fort Worth. Sometimes its completely packed, sometimes Im the only person there. Sometimes the food is incredible. Sometimes I couldve gotten a better meal at Salsa Limon down the street. A lot of times theyre understaffed, so you have to wait an extra 20 minutes for a server to even come by. A lot of times theyre out of a suprising number of food options (even tortilla chips! How is that possible?) They have one of the nicest patios in town, but its a total gamble whether eating there will be worth how expensive the food is.

This place scored 100% on location! This place is directly across or West of the Dickies Arena. Lots of outside seating and very good street style tacos. I couldn t give them a 5 star on the atmosphere because I did takeout and was seated in the bar area and it smelled like a smelly old fish dock or a little bit like a locker room. So, sit outside! The food was great and the outside area looked very inviting and fun! Kid-friendliness: Had high chair.

The most delicious thing on the menu was the jalapeño sweet tea. The breakfast tacos I had weren t very flavorful but the green salsa did help a bit. Their queso was inedible which was shocking given that we are in Texas - I really was taken aback by the texture and consistency of the queso - it was less cheesy and more like the consistency of a roux for a macaroni and cheese. Giving two stars for service, the seating area, and the jalapeño sweet tea. I ve had better tacos and queso at Taco Cabana.

I used to really like this place. (Sigh) Went on a Sunday at 6pm, they had run out of chips, they were also out of mushrooms, their frozen margarita machine wasn t operational (apparently the best in Texas? Guess I ll never know.), they gave me flour tortillas instead of corn like I had ordered, only two waiters working (one of which was also the bartender, the other the hostess.) Food was ok, not great. My roasted corn wasn t roasted at all, when I first had the roasted corn and avocado tacos about a year ago they were delicious! Don t know what s happened. Service was great- I felt bad for them. Felt like a management thing for sure. Such a shame.

Well not happy with my service today. Ordered one crispy beef taco I did not like the squeeze bottle sauces they put on the table I ordered some of the salsa they serve with chips, they brought me a cup of that to put on ONE taco and charged me $2.50. That is what they charge for chips and salsa, I did not receive any chips at all. I asked my waitress Chelsea about it and she said she doesnt set the prices. Wow no help there! Its not about the money its about the service wake up!
