I paid $70 for a consultation just for them to tell me they can t help me and show the wait times from the USCIS website. Which I have already seen and done research. My sister who has done a DACA renewal a couple years back lost her job due to them forgetting to submit her documents. I just recently talked to someone who got their green card fast through family sponsorship, so I am really upset that these lawyers could not help me when there is other lawyers out there offering free consultations or refunds if they can t help. I don t understand the positive reviews because my family and I have had a bad experience. And yes this review is long overdue but I often think about how my family and I got treated here and paid so much money.

I reached out to Chavez and Valko immediately after our application was initially denied. Katie Hawkins and Ariel White picked up our cause and pursued our desired result. This event also transpired directly in the middle of the catastrophic COVID-19 virus shut-down of the American nation. Once our application FINALLY reached the National Visa Center things began to roll with more expediency. It took almost 11 years with 3 different lawyers and it was failed. In 2015 walked into Chavez and valko law firm with no hope whatsoever then the team of knowledgeable lawyer that show me the potential hope that I will get it don t know how but I felt it in my heart. My circumstance was so complicated got a denial, was in ice custody almost got deported and we had to go all the way to bia which was a toughest task for any immigration lawyer but they are just so good, so intelligent, they work so hard and finally they just delivered me a permanent residence card at the end. Beyond Thrilled!! Let me start off by emphasizing on one key aspect of every deal between two parties: Communication: I was horrible in communication, but they were there to clarify. I was looking at the case as an earned right and a matter of time . They were looking at the case as professional Immigration lawyers and everything they said before, during, and after the case was spot on. TRUST THEM! No matter how hard your case is, they will go above and beyond to get you what you deserve. COMMUNICATE!! As long as you keep up with their instructions and update them you will be fine. My case is one of the hardest..A muslim..married to my beloved wife with an age difference, and was ignorant about the laws so we had no commen assets....practically impossible if I listened to other firms. But with Chavez and Valko, there is always another path to go, another way to take. HONESTY: they informed me on day 1 that my case wasent simple, no false hopes , they tell you what it is as it is. With USCIS you dont get to get benefits because you deserve them, they can deny you anything for any reason, but who will tell you they dont have the right to? GOOGLE?? NOOOOO..it is the Chavez and Valko Firm. Please trust them, and dont give up, just dont give up. I almost did, but was contacted and pushed to stay hopeful..and now at least I can breath from the nightmare of getting deported at any minute..at any checkpoint. I called USCIS of I551..they said I am not entitled to one, but Reem; from the firm, told me I would..and she called them 3 way..and I got my appointment. More than grateful to this Chávez & Valko office, especially Miram Lee. I went first to other different offices and had a very bad experience. When I made the appointment with this office I was guided by the reviews and I was not wrong at all. The lawyer was very kind and answered all my questions, I know that most offices give their first appointment for free and this is not the case, but it is worth it, because I felt comfortable, he gave me my time and there was no rush at the appointment. The payment plan they offer I can say is one of the best, few firms offer it this way, my case was a bit long due to lack of documents but I didnt have to worry, they took care of everything. Miriam Lee and Janett were the ones who took my case to the end. I have so much I want to say about Chavez & Valko but in efforts of keeping things brief and risking TLDR feelings Ill try to sum it up as best as I can. To put things simply, Chavez & Valko changed my life. They fought tirelessly for almost two years to unite my fiance and I together. My fiance happens to be from Iran and she was technically not allowed to enter the country due to the travel ban. In 1981 at the age of 13, I arrived in the US as a refugee and received my green card shortly thereafter. In my youth, I committed multiple offenses, one of which was serious enough to be considered an aggravated felony for immigration purposes. However, despite of my record, I still wanted to become a citizen so that I could travel internationally without having to worry if I would clear immigration and customs upon returning. I also knew that my case would be complex and that I needed a good and experienced attorney to help me. My search started in 2010 (by this time I have been living in the US as a green card holder for almost 30 years). I contacted multiple highly rated immigration attorneys and felt the most comfortable with Mr. Chavez. The process began with the office conducting a comprehensive review of my background and obtaining certified copies of court records. The work was impressive as they did not miss anything, and I know for certain that I couldnt have done it myself. After carefully reviewing my record, Mr. Chavez recommended that, for now, I should not apply for citizenship because the risk was too high that USCIS could start removal proceeding against me. His strategy was for me to continue to follow the law, volunteer my time, and wait until the law is more favorable to my case before applying. I was devastated with this news because to me it meant to forget about ever becoming a citizen and this was the end of the road. However, I didnt give up and neither did Mr. Chavez. I set a reminder to send an email to Mr. Chavez every few months just to check if there are any changes to the law that would benefit me. Then six years later (2016), Mr. Chavez contacted me to let me know that there is a pending case with the Supreme Court that could help me. (The case is Mathis v. United States). After determining that Mathis v. United States helped my situation, Mr. Chavez recommended that I apply for citizenship. With renewed confidence (on my part), and with the help of the office, we submitted my N-400 application in December 2016. On 03/22/2018, I had my interview with USCIS. After the interview, the Officer stated that because my case was complicated, he needed more time to review (this usually means a long delay). Then on 03/30/2018, I received a phone call from the Officer (who was great) to inform me that my case was finally approved. Wooohooo, this was one of the best news I have received in a long time!!!! After taking the Oath and receiving my certificate of naturalization on 04/17/2018, I feel as if I have been reborn, and I am forever grateful for the work done by Mr. Chavez and the support staff. So if you need help with any immigration matter, don t hesitate to contact the office of Mr. Chavez and Valko.

Id like to Thank the Office of Chavez and Valko for their hard work. I was very pleased with their extensive preparation for my case. They are very professional and courteous. For a little over 9 years, I had consulted with other immigration forms, and none of them could help me. They always gave me the run-around and uncertainty for my case. Being that another firm had lost all of our documents for immigration, With Chavez and Valko hard work, they were able to find copies of my documents dating back to 1994! Also, during the interview, the officer was surprised that Chavez and Valko were able to obtain copies or original documents. The officer also congratulated Chavez and Valko for this accomplishment. Mr. Chavez and Mrs. Boe thank you so much for helping my husband get his green card! It was a GREAT SUCCESS! After my husband and I got married, we were very skeptical about the I-130 petition process. My husband is Italian and is on a rotational job in the Middle East. The process seemed tedious, time-consuming and complicated. However, after we met with Mr. Chavez, he walked us through the process and made it very simple. Mr. Chavez and Mrs. Boe advised us what documents to collect and assisted us in filling out the I-130 forms in the fall of 2016. Within a few weeks, the application was filled with the USCIS. They answered all our questions (even on the weekends!) and went beyond and above to give us all the information needed. By winter of 2017, the I-130 petition was approved and my husband received his green card. We are a very happy couple and will be forever be thankful for their guidance through the immigration process.

I have contracted their services twice...once for the initial fiance visa and again for the transition to permanent resident status for my wife and her child. Chavez and Valko helped me every step of the way. Denise Conde even helped by getting on the phone with me to immigration to sort through the convoluted mess I had made for myself. She sorted it out and got my case back on track. We even had Skype sessions so everyone knew exactly what needed to be done at each step. They were always quick to reply and quick to update my case. Called and spoke with lady at the front desk. Not friendly or personable. Unable to answer any questions without paying. I highly recommend checking process around. These guys charge a $81 fee upfront without knowing anything of your situation. Placed like this are out for only one thing $$$. Im reading this based off of excellences Ive gotten from 3 other firms. They offer free first time consultation. Find waste your money on this, youre likely going to be our a whole lot more as they only see dollar signs.

We started working with Mr. Chavez and his team Mid 2016. He guided us through every step and made everything look easy.
