I found thru unbundled and he not only wanted 100 for 15 min of his time even though the website says 15min free consultation. I also only wanted help with a temp order and he wanted a retainer. Guy is shady and only tried to rectify after getting called out on his shadiness. Attorney Cody and his team prioritized my daughters needs and worked tirelessly for me to gain full custody of her. Martin Law Firm protects my daughter by addressing her needs, welfare, and stability with the judge and mediator. There was a lot of controversy in my case. They persevered and eventually won. It is vital that you follow Attorney Codys advice. The Judge ordered that I return to Tarrant County. My main concerns were about my daughters and my own safety. Attorney Cody informed me that if I returned to Tarrant County, I would receive complete custody of my daughter. He also alleviated my safety concerns by resolving them with obsolete methods. PLEASE BEWARE!! I rarely leave bad reviews - i am one to believe that mistakes happen or sometimes people have bad days but that is not the case here. This is a very money driven company. I had problems with them in the very beginning of them trying to charge me hundreds of dollars extra for services included in my contract. Luckily I kept a copy of the contract (because it does not show up in the client portal - ironically) and was able to get them to remove the extra charges. This should have been my first red flag but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and just tried to keep a close eye on future charges. When i had only 2 payments left on my first stage amount , my debit card was cancelled for fraudulent charges - i contacted their office that same day to let them know that i was picking up a new card and would send them the new payment information. I submitted the new information and made a payment using my new card. For some reason that information was not saved so they continued to try to charge my old card for the last payment -- i sent multiple messages letting them know they charged the wrong card -- i was sent a form to fill out my new card information again -- then continued to charge the wrong card AGAIN. I then received a text message threatening to withdraw if i did not make the payment by that afternoon. I called and talked to their office lady ( she is super sweet and none of this review is directed towards her) and she informed me the lady who had taken my information did not save it. They had also tried to charge me MULTIPLE failed payment fees even though i had told them over and over again that they were charging the wrong card. Luckily the office lady agreed with me that i should not be charged for their mistake so she dropped them. I then receive a text from my lawyer Cody Martin hours later telling me i owe them 1800 - ( i would owe another 1500 for the next stage but not the amount he was stating ) I brought this to his attention and he informed me i still owe him $600.00 for the first stage -- i had just gotten an invoice showing i only have 1 more payment of $111.00 until i am fully paid (which i just paid that morning) so i was very confused - i told him this -sent him a copy of the invoice - his response is i was being nice and didnt charge you the full agreed upon amount. LOL! So you decided to charge me less 5 months ago when we started working together to be nice -then now that you are hurting for money you want to randomly add that amount back on after i am perceived to be done with payments according to your invoice records? I also had multiple messages from him stating that it would cost me 1500 for the second stage -- somehow that amount went up over $200.00 -- when i brought it to his attention that that was not the amount he said originally ( sent him a screenshot of his own text) he told me i could pay him a lump sum of the 1500 by that Friday ( it was currently mid-day Monday) then i had myself a deal. As if that is just pocket money. After going back and forth over this -- the amount i owe has now changed to 2100.00 even though the original retainer fee makes it impossible for me to owe anything over 2k. Please save yourself the stress and headache. P.S. No offense to any other lawyers at this firm - i am only speaking on my experience with Cody Martin.

I loved working with this office! They made everything very simple. It took a bit for my case because of the courts timing but Andy and his firm did a great job keeping me in the loop and not complicating the case anymore then it needed to be. He explained everything and answered my questions, correspondence with the office was answered quickly. The pricing was fair and they worked with me to ensure that I was able to pay and they did not over charge with unnecessary services. Hands the BEST law firm! If your case has high conflict, and highly contested, YOU NEED this firm. Cody Martin took the time to explain and answer any question I had, and had my best interest. I had left two previous law firms for not having my best interest and excessive billing. The payment options are extremely helpful and attainable, we have no regrets. Andy Oostdyk Custody: My previous 2 attorneys took a year and several thousands of wasted dollars to attempt to do what Andy Oostdyk and his firm did with my custody case with 3 weeks notice. The only reason Im doing it is because I dont want any other parents to experience this HORRIBLE law firm.. These people are motivated by money. During the call, I explained to Emily and Cody Martin about my kids custody hearing. I asked some questions regarding what results i can expect with my case. Cody said that he was going to have another attorney on the team work on my case and quoted me an OUTRAGEOUS price! Not only did he steal my time and money, upon researching Cody Martin on Google Scholar case law, I found that he has actually LOST so many cases. This explains why he is so desperate for money! They will charge you for unreasonable things without even informing you. I received more help form downloading the Pro Se Litigant Guide and Texas Penal Code on Google, compared to the run-around and lies received by this firm.

Hired this lawyer and was told If I paid half the retainer, they would start my pertunity and custody case. Little over 2 weeks go by and I find out my child was born early and wasnt told by Childs mother or family. I Contact the lawyers office and they said they will work get to work on it. CW Martin Law Office helped me with my temporary order hearing for a modification of the possession of my children. The entire team worked collaboratively to make sure that we were prepared for the hearing and that they understood my situation and what result I needed. They were professional, efficient, and really stood out against opposing counsel. I got the results I wanted and the cost was a fraction of what my ex paid his lawyer (who was terrible). He was apologetic, gracious and spent well over the 15min phone consult time with me to discuss my case details and options, and actually proposed the option that would be the LEAST expensive.
