What!? This isnt meat? Sure tastes like it. One vegetarian and 3 non-vegans reveled in their high-quality, well-made, GENEROUS portions and 22 years of experience in pleasing the palate. We had a variety of foods at our table - salad, appetizers, 2 different burgers, amazing hot dogs - all vegan. Just sorry we didnt have room for desserts.

A wonderful little diner that delivers an exceptional dining experience! The waitstaff is all super friendly and helpful and the menu is *chefs kiss* by any standard, not just good for vegan food which is how I feel a lot of vegan friendly restaurants get evaluated. This was just plain delicious food, whether youre fully vegan or just someone looking to enjoy a delicious meal.

The food was ok ..I was expecting more but got way less. The bacon wasnt bacon, Im still trying to figure out what it was. The pancakes werent regular pancakes, they had a taste I could quite pinpoint. And the potatoes were served luke warm. So yes overall I wasnt a fan of the food but the staff was nice and very friendly.

As a non-vegan I was blown away by this meal. Aside from the bacon, which was still delicious but different texture-wise to normal bacon, everything was pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing. Our waitress, Olivia, was excellent and made some great recommendations. The gluten free pancakes were delicious. Huge portions and friendly service. Dietary restrictions: The menu is all vegan with some gluten free options as well.

I recently tried out Spiral Diner for a late lunch. Had the peanut butter & chocolate shake and the gluten free patty melt with the cashew-quinoa patty and potato salad. Patty melt was great and filling. I was really impressed at the texture of the gluten free bread and it didnt fall apart. I was skeptical about the side of mayo but gave my melt a dip and it was surprisingly a great combo. The potato salad texture was good but the taste was just okay. Peanut butter & chocolate shake was amazing. Great texture and satisfyingly sweet. Ill definitely be ordering it again. It wasnt very busy on a weekday mid-afternoon. Service was polite and attentive. Had no problem finding a parking spot behind the restaurant. Bathroom was clean. Already thinking about what Ill try next time. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan. Many of the items list cheese but its not dairy based. Dietary restrictions: If youre gluten free make sure to ask for the gluten free menu. They have a ton of options. Most notable are the pancakes, burger buns, sandwich bread, and corn tortillas for tacos. Parking: Small free lot behind the restaurant. Lots of street parking nearby. It was easy to park on a weekday but not sure about a busier weekend.

Our waitress left with no notice. Our food took about 45min. No service was provided to us after myself and 3 friends gave our order, the couple in the booth beside us had to get up to advise they were ready to order themselves. The food was good as always it was just the extremely poor service.

I love coming here! Its a safe place to meet friends, dates, and I feel comfortable with staff and know Ill always receive a great meal no matter what I order. Vegetarian options: Everything offered here is vegan! Dietary restrictions: As a super lactose intolerant person with GI issues, this place is a godsend. I was so excited to come back to this Fort Worth gem after living out of state for a bit. Definitely not as good as it once was. The atmosphere is sad, the service is not good, and the food is underwhelming as well as inconsistent with portions & ingredients, especially with takeout. The last time I dined in I had to ask for my coffee multiple times from the two different servers who kept coming to my table.

One of my go to Vegan Restaurants when I m in town. The whole diner concept is amazing. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I ve eaten so much off the menu there was nothing I did not like. So thankful for this all-vegan spot. The food is consistently good, and you always know what to expect with atmosphere, service, and quality. It was hard to not almost laugh out loud when the hostess said it was a 15 minute wait but the dining room looks mostly empty. Then she turns around and beats on the iPad while staring into the dining room. Apparently there was only one server. The last time we went featured poor service from a brand new waitress also. We figured today s service would be equally as poor (once actually seated) so we left and walked three blocks to Vice Burger. No wait and excellent food there. I probably would have stayed at Spiral if they had just sat me and gave me some coffee while the server caught up.

will not be returning to this terrible place. everytime ive gone there are different waiters! cant keep decent help..wonder why? the ones they do have are not very good! waitress took our order forgetting the extra pattty for burger and fries. food was brought out at different times. had to remind her of the fries, while hungry eating the burgers waiting for dang fries! oh yes they finally came while finished with meal. I asked for fries to be taken off the bill and was conveniently disregarded! the so called dingy waitress stated manager had to approve? approve that you couldnt take a simple order while place was not busy at all! Spirals you have problems and need to be shut down with all the negative reviews you have listed! Have the nerve to open other establishments while this cant be run efficiently! Get your act together or boycott will be coming to you! if zero was option on your rating i would of given you a zero

The Spiral Diner & Bakery is probably my favorite place to eat in all of Fort Worth. The menu is gigantic, with endless options for any kind of diner-style food you could want. The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and clean, and everyone working there treats you with kindness and respect. The food is unbelievably good, which is pretty obvious. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Been dining in here for 4-5 years now, and have always had great service, and the food is amazing! The staff is amazing and does a great job of taking care of their guests. Des has been my server throughout the years, and has never slipped up once! Had an amazing evening out with friends/family at spiral diner. Our waiter Des was absolutely incredible and attentive! Very sad I would go to their Denton location but since they shut down that location I stopped going for awhile because this location is too far went today to this location and oh boy 1st I was informed the menu has changed & new things were added but I didn t see anything new besides their limited time dishes that they do every month what I saw was the menu selection was smaller a lot of my favorite dishes gone :( service was okay but food was either unseasoned or bad presented. They keep this up they will loose this restaurant so sad to see a once then thriving business slowly tumble down

I recently visited Fort Worth with my family and dined at Spiral Diner and Bakery with my non-vegan family, and we were all blown away by the delicious vegan offerings! We started with the Nacho Supreme as an appetizer, which was so good that we ended up ordering another one. Even my non-vegan family couldnt resist the nachos! I personally enjoyed the VLT (vegan BLT) with a side of Mac and cheese. While the Mac and cheese wasnt amazing, it had good flavor. Our waiter, Q, deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to accommodate our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Q made sure we had a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We couldnt resist trying every cupcake available, and our favorite was the strawberry flavor. Overall, I 100% recommend Spiral Diner and Bakery to anyone visiting Fort Worth, TX soon. After 4.5 hours at the Fort Worth Zoo we were delighted to have a meal here! The food was delicious and we had a great server! We ate the supreme nachos and chickn quesadilla. Our girls 4 and 7 devoured the mac and cheese, broccoli and crispy home fries. The dessert was also an amazing end to the meal, a warm brownie topped with 3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream slathered with chocolate syrup! Thank you Destiny!

It was such an amazing experience all around! From the moment we walked in the door it was a very welcoming environment. I was quite nervous and let down when I saw the words cheese, sour cream and ranch on the menu but come to find that EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan I was so very pleased and excited to try the food. They have an expansive list of menu options, all the things we as vegan s crave but find hard to find. The food and service was superb and I can t wait to return to try a taste of everything they have to offer. I WAS LEFT DISHEARTENED, HURT, AND NEAR TEARS BECAUSE OF THE TREATMENT OF OUR SERVER HERE. We visited this establishment once and thought we found a gem. Then, we visited again and had a downright terrible, awful, disheartening, and hurtful experience. I ordered the Chili Cheese Home Fries to try something new the second time around. When I got them, I had one fry and didnt like it at all. I informed the server immediately and politely. They took the food and said theyd speak to the manager about replacement. The manager comes out, speaks to us, and tells me to find a replacement of similar pricing. We waited around for our server to return for me to order and they never returned. In fact, they ignored us and avoided us as they served another table. Mind you, it was only about three small parties in the restaurant. We watched as they visited the table close to us and quickly turned around as I tried to signal for them. A lot of time passes, and I just eat my boyfriends food. Then, after maybe 10+ minutes, we notice that our server then directs another server to our table. He comes over to finally take our order after so much time had already elapsed. At that point, I had eaten part of my boyfriends food and was disgusted with our treatment. As we left, I vowed to never return to this restaurant. I wanted to cry because I cant believe that returning food would turn into such ugliness.

Was really disappointed with this place. My husband found it as something he thought Id like, but was quicky turned off when all we had was a cupcake & milkshake. It was late afternoon, they werent busy, yet we waited at least 15mins for a milkshake while at least 5 employees just stood around chatting. I finally had to go to the counter and ask how much longer, all I ordered was a milkshake? The young lady says, let me check & comes back not even 2 mins later with our shake. Im assuming they just forgot we were there, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, waiting. On top of that, the milkshake wasnt even good! I ended up trashing it. Maybe a spot just for the local crowd, but not for us.

The pst 2 times that I ve gone, the customer service was lacking but last night was the absolute worst experience I ve ever had at the Spiral Diner! When we walked in the guy that came up to greet us would barely talk, told us there was a 10 minute wait but there was only 3 other people in the whole facility other than the staff. When we were finally seated, our waitress informed us she didn t know the menu well because she was new which was fine and understandable, however she took our order and we didn t see her again. In fact; once our food arrived, none of the 3 waiters walking around to check on the other customers never check on my table or the other table behind me (the only tables with people of color). We literally waited and watched as they avoided us. We even tried to wave them down and get their attention by yelling sir! No one ever came. We look in the back of the restaurant and our waiter is sitting at a table, on her phone, eating. I ve never felt so overlooked and disregarded. I used tjj in love this place and have always had great things to say and I m not sure if it s the climate of the neighborhood that s causing these changes we ve experienced the last couple times but I don t think I ll be returning. I was looking forward to my burger that I ordered and drove over 30 minutes to get there last night to have a half made cashew and quinoa burger, hard potato and horrible service. So disappointing.

I was with extended family and 2 members of the family desired Spiral, although not being totally vegan. None of our members had complained but my Stepmom had offered to order me a different food because I m not vegan. She had simply ordered me Canes and had it door-dashed to the restaurant. When we arrived we had noticed the sign of no outside foods or beverages so we tried to compromise of eating outside to respect their policy. Their host had went to get their manager to check if it was okay but this manager, named Maria, had absolutely no tolerance. She continued to explain that outside was still apart of their dining and was NOT willing to compromise. I had offered to eat my food in the car so my family could have their late lunch in the restaurant to avoid conflict with the staff. While I was eating my food in the car they were sitting inside for a good 55 minutes. I started to notice the people who came in after my family were leaving before them. This was simply occurring because they had their ticket machine not working properly , so said the manager. My family had to wait for their food for 40 minutes when this was supposed to be fast. There was no reason to act like this and this was very unprofessional. This isn t supposed to be personal but I have a very hard feeling this manager had taken this personal. We could ve just compromised but instead she chose to be petty. This was ridiculous.

Had family out of town that love to come to Spiral. One family member is averted to eating vegan, no big deal. I ordered delivery for them while we were on the way to restaurant. Upon arrival I noticed the sign requesting no outside food/beverage. I communicated our situation to the host, asking if we could eat outside to accommodate their preference. They passed it to the manager. The manager, Maria, came over with a scowl on her face and curtly expressed no-tolerance. We complied with zero resistance or hostility. The one family member took their delivered food to the vehicle and stayed there while the rest of sat inside. After 45 minutes we noticed our table was being neglected. No refills. No silverware (which is provided upon being sat down in the first place). No checking in or updates. No food, even though other tables whom ordered after us were already completing their meals and paying their bill. We only ordered two appetizers. Apparently they took our question personally. Maria excused herself on the ticket machine being inadequate and magically the food arrived lukewarm. The negative energy was painfully present in the plates they served us. Maria, you and your staff need to do better. Keep your hostilities to yourself. Vegans are suppose to be compassionate, not just to animals, but the humans we share this earth with. I gave you no trouble when you denied our request to eat together outside as a family. Your retaliation is disgustingly unprofessional. You deserve to be removed as manager. As a 7 year customer, neither I or my family will be returning.

If you dont have mental problems or you shower, you apparently can not work here. The entire experience was bad. From being seated, to being served, to eating the supposed food. We waited almost 8 minutes to be seated and there were literally 6 people there eating. We wait 23min for food. The nachos supremo. When she brought the nachos, we put in a to go order of a sandwich. Which took over 45 min to get and had to go to the front and ask for it. The nachos tore both of out tummies up. I have eaten at spiral a couple dozen times. Never had this bad of experience. I frequented the one in Dallas. Ive been to this location 3 times and its bad everytime. Each time consistently worse. There were hardly any deserts made. And they all looked pretty depressing. The guy cleaned the table with some dirty rags he got out of a green bucket from behind the wait to be seated stand. He never got a clean rag, emptied the bucket and put clean water in nor washed the rag out after cleaning off the table and putting back in the green bucket. If these are the same practices in the kitchen its no wonder we both felt like sh# t after eating. I rarely ever post reviews. Please do not waste your time or money, because the prices are pretty ridiculous! On this trashy establishment. Because that is absolutely what it is. Trashy. I can understand why they are closing down other locations. It is truly a health hazard. Its also pretty shameful charging 15$ for a sandwich that has zero meat or dairy. But when I got it home to give to my son, low and behold there was pretty much nothing on it! Spiral needs some serious quality control! You should be absolutely ashamed charging what you do and the absolute lack of respect you have for peoples money! Or time for that matter! Ive been here multiple times. Once we drove from our house in Jefferson,Tx appx 3 hours just to eat here for our Anniversary! Whether you normally eat Plant-based/vegan or not, you will love this comfort food! Vegetarian options: Everything, I mean EVERYTHING including cheese, sour cream and ice cream is all vegan! Parking: If university classes are in session and you eat at peak times, I have found it difficult to park. I went to this restaurant to eat with my husband. I use a service dog. I was asked if he was a service dog, I said yes he is. He was also wearing a service dog vest, laying at my feet while we are waiting for a table. The man then asks if I have his papers. I said excuse me? What papers? He said if he s a service dog then you should have a certificate. I let him know his actions are against the law. As I pulled out my phone, he said he was going to go call someone else. He never returned. After about 15 mins I left. I am a frequent customer to dreamboat donuts. And I have been to spiral many other times. I will never return after the embarrassment of today. I have been to this restaurant several times in the last few months. I live in San Antonio but I eat here each time I come to Fort Worth. I guess I should say I USED to come here because I will NEVER return. Usually, the service is great and I would feel like the employees honestly enjoyed having us as customers. During my last visit we had 3 different servers. The first took our orders and let us know that another server would take over. The second server brought our food and promptly started actively ignoring us. Several times we had to verbally call to her due to her ignoring our hand gestures. After we finished eating I motioned to our third server for the check by pantomiming a square in the air. She looked, then continued talking to a coworker. After making repeated hand gestures with no acknowledgement, I actually started wildly waving my arms. The only one of the ten plus employees behind the counter appeared to notice was our third server who briefly mimicked my actions before continuing her conversation with her coworkers. At that point I stood up and loudly asked if somebody would please bring the check. Our first server finally brought the check. I dont know if there was a manager available but even there was I didnt want to deal with anybody at that place any more. I dont know, or care, what changed since our last visit but whatever it was definitely insured that it was my last visit, ever.

Took a long time to get our order after they sat us. Then when we ordered, an employee said that the kitchen was closing and we wouldn t be able to order anymore. Which was fine but I think unnecessary considering it took a long time to get our order. Then it took a long time for them to divide our group s check, even after we told them that the check would be separate. One of the employees was especially rude and the one giving problems and very short tempered with us, I didn t catch a name, the others treated us fine.

The slowest service I ve ever had, no exaggeration. When the service staff asked us if we wanted condiments, and we said yes, they never returned The food is decent (not extraordinary), but by the time we got it, it literally wasn t even warm anymore. There are other vegan spots in Fort Worth with equal/better food and far superior service. This was a great place to go before FW had better vegan options, but I probably won t be coming back here in the future

Food is okay, though still heavily processed and moreso than other vegan places. Service is almost non-existent. Waitress there exists like a ghost, just floating around. Wake up. Is anybody home behind those eyes. Ive seen brick walls more productive. Its cool. Eat your food. Get your bill. Everybodys favorite little tip screen after. Every meal weve had here had been absolutely delicious! However the service / front of house needs work.. Either they need to hire more servers or they need to train the ones they have. I went by myself today for lunch at noon. Was told it was a 30 minute wait (even though more than half of the tables werent occupied inside and 2 were open outside.. The entire time .) which was fine.. At 1250 I asked how much longer and was told another 18 minutes or so. More than an hour for a one person table.. For one person?? I left. I probably wont go back.. Its ashame because the food is really good.

I thought I would try this place again after going to their Dallas location years ago before they closed down. I walked in and waited at the host stand to be seated for like 5 minutes, all the staff was behind the counter talking to each other and paid no attention to me. I had to walk up to the counter and ask if I could be seated, not a big deal but that was a little annoying! The restaurant wasn t that busy. I ordered the Hells Half Acre Hot Plate and everything tasted so bland and kinda gross. For $16 I expected it to be better tasting. I ve had better vegan food. Overpriced for sure. I don t think I ll be back.

Have loved Spiral for a long time and appreciate the flagship location sticking it out. Appreciate that everything is vegan. I had the ate layer burrito and my husband (who isnt typically fond of vegan fare) had the kahuna burger- we both ate every bit of food on our plates and our daughter could have eaten 5 orders of the home fries . fun desserts also and cool laid back atmosphere. def will come again next time we are in town! thanks, Spiral! It makes me sad to post this review. The fact that its taken more than 6 months to write out my horrible last experience speaks volumes. I used to eat at this restaurant multiple times a month... for years. Unfortunately, things have really gone downhill in the past couple years. Service has problems, prices dont always reflect food quality. The real issue is the food poisoning. Yes, 3rd strike with food poisoning from this place & we are out - for good. First incident was my daughter, on September 23, 2022 - chalked it up to maybe a stomach bug. Next incident was me on November 1, 2022. I left a review after this awful experience & they apologized, refunded me (only for the item in question, not the whole ticket), & mailed me a $20 gift card to entice me back. I did try to use it on a pick up order, but that didnt work so had to use it to dine in. The final straw was dinner on September 24, 2023. Before this awful experience, I had not vomited in 26 *years.* Yes, you read that correctly. Each of the above food poisoning incidents involved their most popular dish (& my former fave) - the Nacho Supremo. Buyer beware. Multiple weeks of having to recover from intense intestinal pain & extreme digestive upset. Like, food poisoning isnt just a couple hours - it can take weeks & months for a digestive system to fully settle and recover back to normal. Such was the case with my experience last September. Sorry, Spiral. I gave you a ton of 2nd chances but this last incident did me in. Even an apology & gift card cant entice me back this round. BUT, for the love of god, please check your food handling processes for every Nacho Supremo ingredient, because something is going terribly wrong & causing customers to be poisoned... multiple times. PS, before the last 2 years, we successfully ate Nacho Supremo plates dozens if not 100 times. We arent allergic to any of it. Its your food handling/storage practices. Guaranteed. While at it, check the ice machine & dishwashers, too. Please... dont poison your customers & get the Fort Worth location shut down, too. Thank you. Im truly sad. :( I do miss the Spiral Burger & the funky vibe. Miss 30 minute drives to Fort Worth for some vegan fun. Its lonely without them, but I just cant risk having my week & month ruined again by a spoiled Nacho Supremo plate (esp to the tune of $15.59 pre-tax). Good luck, Spiral. Treat your employees and your customers right. Its really that basic.

I had the baked potato grilled cheese, side of pasta salad and broccoli with some ranch. It was alllll delicious, I can t recommend the baked potato grilled cheese enough! Too long of a wait even for a to go order. For a place that has plenty of seating but not enough staff. The music and atmosphere was great but we decided to do a to go order because of the wait. Even when you were seated you were waiting another 20-30 minutes for a waitress to come take your order. No thanks. I got in on 3/28 at 1:38pm. Short wait to be seated bc there were like 4 tables. The girl waitress took my order and bounced. I never saw her again. They refilled my water while I waited until 2:40 bc I m an obviously a psycho for giving them another chance. No one else checked on me, and my food never came. At this point it was obvious they forgot. I got up to leave. I told the person at the counter so they don t think I walked. All she said was I m so sorry . Like there were only a few tables and you didn t think to check or even notice I NEVER got my food? The sorry was legitimately not good enough. The best cake I ve EVER had! Spiral really knocked it out of the park on this one. The cake is moist, decadent, and the perfect balance of icing to cake. We had a 6in Napoleon, and I ve never had a better vegan cake in my life. There are others who claim to have excellent cakes and cupcakes, but they could never amount to Spiral Bakery. Julian was our server this time. He was amazing as all of the staff is there. He listened to my kids give their order and got everything correct. If its not close, we try to come eat here every chance we get to come to Texas. Update for 3-24-24... Spencer was our server today. We had a lot of fun. The food was amazing. They have a new shepherds pie that is phenomenal. I really wish we had one where we live. Until then, well just drive the 3 hours to this one. Vegetarian options: Its a Vegan restaurant. I travel to FW every 6-8 weeks and this is my main stop to eat, after my visit today I will have to find another place for my favorite place to eat! I was told the wait was about 20-25 minutes - waited 40 minutes for one person, was seated and waited for another 30 minutes and no server! Had to acting and ask for a manger before being served. They closed their Denton location and intentionally gave no notice to their employees. They dont care about their own people and honestly I hope no one supports this establishment. The food has declined over the years, as well. They think fake bacon goes in a Caesar salad, and that snickerdoodle cookies should have the texture of cake. There are so many wonderful vegan establishments. Spiral is not one of them. I was their patron for many years. The lack of compassion they showed their own employees is enough for me to quit them forever. I hope the vegan community helps close down the one remaining Spiral, the Maiden, and the donut shop.

You cant go wrong here! The supreme nachos are always a special treat and we devoured them. We also tried the Ramseys Perfect Protein Platter which was delicious! Instead of getting something from the bakery this time to take home, we decided to go try Spirals new dessert place called Dreamboat. The short walk from the diner was nice and the offerings at Dreamboat were amazing! I had the oatmilk vanilla soft serve and we got a maple donut to go. Since we dined at Spiral Diner first, we brought our paper receipt to Dreamboat and we got the soft serve for free! I cant wait to go back to both the diner and the Dreamboat. I hope they start selling soft serve in small containers soon. I need more of it in my life!!

The food is okay but Waaay overpriced. The spiral big stack comes with one patty cut in half not two. Crazy for the price. What really bugs me is the fake ethics of this establishment. They decided to invest in another building in Fort Worth then subsequently shut down Dallas and Denton without notice to employees when they knew they were closing the doors for weeks. Imagine going to your job to find the doors locked. People can hardly afford grocerys and to do that to servers who rely on tips to eat is monstrous. I don t have much to spend on a night out but I promise when I do it will never be spiral again. Shame on you guys for having so little faith and respect for the people you hired.

After their Denton location closed its doors, Ive had my eye on their Fort Worth location. Of course, they serve the same great food! Their diners always have the best atmosphere, and the staff are super welcoming. My only complaint is the dent it leaves in my wallet. Cant beat good vegan food though, I always make sure to pick something up when Im in the area :) Vegetarian options: Menu is 100% vegan. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a 1.5 inch step at the door. Should be passable with effort but might require additional assistance if you have limited arm strength.

I had the Viva Las Migas and my mom had the pancake sandwich with Beyond chicken tenders, they were both great. The tofu scramble was a little different from real eggs but not in a significant or bad way. We also had a slice of the marble cake and a carrot cake cupcake, and they were delicious! The staff we interacted with were all very nice, and the prices seemed reasonable. Wheelchair accessibility: The main door is not very wheelchair accessible but they will open the side door for you which does have a ramp.
