I got into trouble years ago and it had haunted me and followed me although I knew deep down I was doing right with my life the lord and my family I knew at any moment I could be facing prison or jail . I had a felony and had tried to use a public defender and was met with nothing but confusion and negligence. Would call constantly and never got my calls answered and when they were I was told that my public defender was too busy or that I only had one option. I had almost given up I felt so hopeless, until I called David Sloanes office they was so quick to call me back within 24 hours they called me to discuss my case. I got all my options laid out in front of me and all my questions answered I felt so at ease without even having hired them. After wards at my court date Ian was quick to let me know what the best course of action and what each option would entitle to and what they would mean for me. All it took was 3 court visits and Ian had gotten me a plea deal for a misdemeanor and no court fees to pay. I am above the moon with David s office they have been so helpful with everything from phone calls to in person meetings and even payments. I will never go for a court appointed lawyer again. He defended me on a case that I shouldnt have had to defend myself on and he proved that to them. I was so anxious feeling like it was me by myself against the State of Texas and he helped me defend myself, he was there for me, so I could have a happy successful life for me and my daughter. I have nothing but good things to say about David Sloane - specifically Greg Torres. I was arrested in Parker County for Possession of a Controlled Substage PG 2 less than a gram (0.104 grams of residue to be more exact). It was my first time getting arrested in my life. I also come from a state where this is completely legal so its this was a bunch of B.S in my opinion. Greg has worked his butt off for me the last 2.5 years. I was given a 3 year deferred felony probation term in March 2019. Life has been nothing short of easy for me since I was put on probation either. In December 2019 I had a hair follicle come up positive for marijuana (right after my mom died). The judge sanctioned me to marijuana classes and 4 days in jail. In march, I did my first day then COVID hit. When July rolled around, I contacted Greg to see if we can somehow have me do something else so I dont need to wait to sit in jail because of COVID. We settled with a fine and extra community service hours. Now comes February 2021. Even with two hair follicles that tested positive for marijuana (My December 2020 came out positive for marijuana as well as my 2019 one. By the way, do NOT use any type of hemp oil hair products if you get hair follicle tested - I learned the hard way), Greg managed to get me granted early release of probation with one of the most harshest judges in Parker County. I cannot thank Greg and everyone at the Law Offices of David Sloane. It was worth selling my dream truck in order to have these guys on my side the last few years. I will be referring all of my unfortunate friends when theyre in a bind! Thank you again to everyone at this place. I am so happy to be off and going home <3

I dont have enough good words to say about this law firm. This is the firm you want to hire if you have been arrested for marijuana charges in Texas..... Dont even bother calling anyone else! My son was driving from CO to Louisiana to see his dying father. He was undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments and couldnt eat because it caused blisters in his mouth and throat. H.is father asked if he could bring him some edibles or something to relieve the pain. Long story short, My son was profiled and pulled over. The police said they couldnt see the name of the state on the tag and this was the reason for the stop. They asked my son if he had any marijuana on him. My son said yes Im taking a few things to my dad who is dying. WRONG!!! NEVER EVER ADMIT THAT YOU ARE CARRYING MARIJUANA!. Even if your intentions are the very best, we learned that honesty isnt exactly the best policy in this type of situation. My son was immediately arrested. Thankfully he found Greg Torres, and attorney with this law firm. Greg Torres is second to none. He knows marijuana laws and was able to pull a DOT video that clearly displayed the tag on my sons vehicle and there was no doubt that the state was visible on the tag. My son was facing both felony and misdemeanor charges. Today was the final court appearance. Greg Torres was able to get the felony charges dropped and my son ordered to pay only the court costs (less than $300). The judge told my son that his lawyer got him an exceptionally good deal.... We agree!!! My sons father died a few short months after the arrest. He died feeling horribly guilty for asking his son to help him with his pain. I have to believe his dad was his guardian angel in court today, and that he was able to see his son get the justice he deserved. Thank you Greg! You are an amazing attorney!!!!

Showed up am HOUR late to court. The judge was livid. He did not say anything in court, only his co counselor did and those words were far and few in between. He did not fight hard towards this case. My son got 15 years for his very first offense. 15 years for selling pot. No criminal history, no drug history or anything. Just a one time offense. All the money paid we received not even bare minimum service.

Amazing lawyer. Has worked diligently with me on my cases, and has even been able to work out nice deals when I myself have made multiple mistakes. unfortunately I had to hire David to represent me twice. He was so great as soon as he came in to court got it handled and got both of my cases dropped. I have worked with lawyers in the past on a personal level and have never been treated as great as I was by David as the defendant. If you ever find yourself fighting a case hire David!

I wish I would have gone to this man in the first place. He is very kind and cares about you as a person, and he is VERY knowledgeable in his field. I felt like he would have fought for me and produced a better outcome than what I had, had I only known about him almost 4 year now prior. he is a great attorney I would recommend him to anyone. He moves mountains and he is straight foward with everything and he gives you all the options and lets you choose and he will advise you for what he thinks and more than likely right or you can go with what you want and both of you will roll the dice together and go with that option if you want to he does not strong arm you into anything. and after meeting and seeing people talk about him what he does in work and outside of work he is an all around great man. and would highly recommend retaining him. If you get arrested in Texas for anything David is probably going to be your best bet, especially if it is marijuana or DUI related. I am from Florida, and I got popped in Texas with a little over 20 pounds of cannabis, 400 grams of Hash, and an AR-15 type assault rifle. My bail was set at 50,000 dollars, and if convicted, I could have done 20+. I am affiliated with NORML, and heard through a network of people that David would be the right guy for the job, and he was. David was very diligent about my case, and the prosecution did NOT want to argue with him. He subpoenad all the records from every single arrest made by the arresting officer in the last year, and worked a whole bunch of other magic, I have no idea what he did, but it worked. David is also affiliated with NORML, and on top of being a badass lawyer, he is a pretty cool guy to chill with. As soon as I met David, I did not speak with any other lawyers, I knew I was in good hands. After being charged with one first degree felony, one second degree felony, and 2 third degree misdemeanors, with David handling my case, I he ended up getting all charges dropped except the hash charge, which got reduced, AND deferred. End result was a 1500 dollar fine, some court and lab fees, and 120 hours of community service, and since it was deferred, I am on probation until I finish the hours, but after I finish, I can get off early. Basically, I was facing 20+ years, and David pretty much got me off with what could be loosely regarded as a slap on the wrist. David handles all kind of cases from money laundering to marijuana cases, to duis...with this guy by your side you know you are in good hands. Thanks David

David Sloane is the only name you need to know if you find yourself in trouble. I was charged with possession of marijuana along with the other two people that were in the car with me. They were charged and given 12 months of probation, 80 hours of community service, a DOEP class, and a slew of other hoops to jump through. I had my case completely dismissed thanks to Mr. Sloanes hard work and dedication to his clients. Not to mention he drove 6 hours and made an overnight trip to represent me in Hale County. He is knowledgeable, fun, outgoing, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much David, your positive attitude, charisma, and wealth of experience has made this whole process so much more bearable.
