A Perfect Place for Reflection The Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden is a tranquil oasis that invites visitors to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature. From the moment I stepped through the gate, I was struck by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. The carefully landscaped grounds, complete with winding paths, koi ponds, and traditional structures, create a perfect setting for reflection and meditation. As I wandered through the garden, I found myself feeling completely at peace. The gentle sound of the water, the fragrance of the flowers, and the dappled sunlight created a truly magical experience. I was able to escape the stress of everyday life and simply enjoy the moment. The Japanese Garden is more than just a beautiful place to visit; its a cultural experience that offers insights into Japanese philosophy and aesthetics. The garden is designed to promote harmony, balance, and contemplation, and its a perfect place to reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

They do have a shuttle that comes every 30 minutes, so you dont have to walk as far. Its a beautiful place to go with family and get away from your fast-paced life. We take lunch and eat it on a bench and take in the scenery.

I ve been visiting these gardens for more than 30 years. They are still beautiful but just not the same as they used to be. The grounds are not as well maintained, there are many more restrictions to enjoying the gardens, which I imagine is from people abusing the privilege. There are fewer koi and there used to be dispensers right near the water, this is no longer the case. Still a beautiful place for a picnic or to take a walk, especially when the leaves are changing, but so many or the featured shows and exhibits just are not accessible anymore. It s a bit sad.

It was insanely hot so I was very jealous of everybody that remembered to wear a big hat or bring a parasol. There are water filling stations all around for your water bottle and there are stations around for dogs that have water in it also. Definitely by the big bag of fish food its worth it and there are koi in several parts of the area. We saw a crane also and some other fun animals. Absolutely gorgeous. We were able to see everything even though we thought we were going to die in the heat it was 100% worth it to stick it out

Well...Park Staff was Very Unusual Today I had a group of Prom Goers from Waxahachie that asked me to take them here. Little was I aware that They werent supposed to use the West Entry. The open and unlocked and unmanaged opening Clearly Posted West Entrance. Not to mention, This is The Entrance where I have taken Other Visitors , on Previous Visits. The Google Map directed me here as well. Nonetheless, one of The ladies on the Patrolling Cart had words causing my Passengers to openly express their feelings and treatment. I tried to explain that my Passengers came from Waxahachie and This is always The Entrance that I come. The lady repeatedly said Security is On the way. Talk to them. I tried to explain that I wasnt aware that my Passengers and I were in violation. I even went as far as trying to get This Staff Member to explain what I need to do The Next Time a Passengers suggests visiting the garden. She told me to go on the website and look the garden closes @ 6pm and Use The Front Gate and pay $30 per person before 5pm No matter how I tried to explain that This was a last minute request and I didnt know, The Staff Member clearly Didnt Care. So happened that while my Passengers were in the garden, One of them misplaced their camera bag. I pleaded with her to let him go back in to where the Kids were to look for the bag. I am glad that she allowed [2] Passengers to go look. Eventhough They didnt discover the item, Thank You. I apologize for my ignorance and assumptions. I just think that This could have been handled differently and with more care. By the way, Security never arrived.

Within the botanical gardens, the kids loved crossing the multiple bridges, stepping stones, and paths winding around the very extensive Japanese garden. There is also a little tea ceremony room and pavilions. Koi food is available near gift shop, but the koi right outside the gift shop are overfed, so save the food for one of the sections further away to find more active, hungry fish and turtles!

I will always adore Japanese culture, it always makes me feel like it puts me at ease, and kind of takes away a little depression that I have. I hope in next years Japanese festival, they will have a Kabuki theater, or actual sumo wrestling.
