Great neighborhood saloon for young and old alike. Regulars are friendly and staff is attentive and efficient. Would not classify it as a cocktail bar, but thats just fine. Couple of pool tables and a back patio that makes it easier to talk (inside features a steady, joyous, low roar). Priced right too. Go check out Showdown!

I m new to the area for the next 2 yrs. Tonight was my 2nd visit to this bar as it is 2 mins from my new home. My first visit was great (wished I could remember the bartender s name -male ) and I was surprised to be treated soo rudely by a bar tender by the name HEATHER. She would never make eye contact with me and ignored me a few times when trying to reorder a simple beer (in the bottle) as I m sitting at the bar. Now the other bartender, AMANDA, on the other hand, was a NICE DELIGHT soo I hope to see AMANDA again.

I m a firefighter from Arizona. This bar denied me service because they only accept Texas IDs, I ve never encountered that before in my life and I ve had no issues using my Arizona drivers licenses in every state west of the rockies. I guess the rumors about them selling to minors are true and they re probably on their last straw with TABC. If you re a first responder or a Non-Texas resident, I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Shame because this otherwise is a great dive bar.

I love hole in the wall bars. This particular one is a favorite of mine in the area. Cheap drinks and friendly people. Music plays all night, pool tables are usually available, outdoor seating available on nice nights. Use the restroom before you go though.

Ive been a regular @ this place for about 6-8 months,love the people and the bartendresses, ONE exception (HINT shes blond w/ MAJOR attitude) Not sure if she THINKS she owns the bar, but she acts like she owns the customers and treats most of us like 5 year olds or worse. Ive spent on average $500.00-$650.00 since Ive been going in buying rounds for the bar, etc, etc, etc. Blondie (for God knows whatever reason) has determined that Im some sort of a RISK despite none of the others EVER having any problems and being handsomely rewarded for their service and smiles. We had a blowout and the Manager decided to BAN me for 30 days after 1 beer and once again Blondie Copping attitude with me. Not sure how many bars ban $600.00+ PER MONTH customers who ALL the customers and ALL the bartendresses like, laugh with and LOVE my Service Dog Scout (Im a disabled Vet). Only one who doesnt like me... the WITCHIE bartendress from HELL. Go here and enjoy, but if you see a blonde behind the bar, RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give less than one star I would. I live on Pershing a couple streets away and have been coming for years. However tonight a short brown headed bartender Amanda freaked out on a group of 5. Took our unfinished beers out of our hands and said we needed to leave. My recommendation for the bar would be to fire this horrific person who is clearly losing you customers.

The bartender was rude. The regulars at the bar were rude. Felt very uncomfortable. Will never spend my money here. Still tipped her 50% because she should never judge a book by its cover. Plus I was a bartender myself. I always treated my guests the way I would want to be treated.

We stopped in tonight after a Christmas party for one drink before we went home. We were not served because they believed we were slurring our words. We weren t. It is loud in the bar and we had to repeat ourselves to the bartender and she said she wouldn t serve us. We had two drinks at the party then came over and are way over the drinking age. It was my first and last attempt at a local bar.

Terrible crowd control. The place clearly cant keep from overserving day drinkers or keep rowdy guests in-check. Located right by a family burger joint and the back patio guests cat-call and yell obscenities at people passing by. I live right by the place and I see this happen often. It gets pretty tacky early afternoon when you can hear it from your bedroom window.
