Ordered Chicken Fajitas and cup of queso as appetizer. Order came and waiter had to quickly go get the cup of queso (he forgot). After serving the fajitas, the waiter had to be reminded to bring the flour tortillas that come with Fajitas. Worst Fajitas I ve ever had never had potatoes with a Fijita Plate. Margarita was mostly tequila. Bye .

The food here is great, but the service is slow every time. The staff is running around (our server had tables in another room, was manning the bar, and had a couple tables in our room). Definitely needs more staff, as we had to wait for salsa, drink refills, our check, etc. We really like the food, but the service makes us consider crossing this one off the list.

Second review: We were looking forward to our second visit, but upon our arrival we stood at the front waiting to be seated for 5 minutes. No one even acknowledged us during that time, so we left. Gabriela and Sofias... Do better or lose business. First Review: Was in the mood for fajitas and decided to try Gabriela & Sofias Tex Mex. We ordered the Mixed Grill for 2 which came with beef, shrimp, and chicken fajitas as well as a mix of veggies, onions and peppers. It was a lot more than 2 could eat but was delicious. Got two meals of food for 2 people for a reasonable price. Definitly adding G&S to our restaurant rotation.

In between a bunch of small shops in Flower Mound, sits this nice little restaurant; tucked away. First, like a real Mex or Tex-Mex place, the chips are on the house. This small detail is important to me. Being mexican, if you say that your restaurant is, of Tex-Mex, then its mandatory to give the table chips. A lot dont do it. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating to my kids. Their food comes out hot fresh and fast. I had the fajita plate: beef fajitas, chicken and shrimp.. also known as a parrillada. My wife said they had the best taco salad. They have a modest selection of liquors but to my preference, they had mezcal. The waitress we had was very attentive and helped us quickly with any requests. For example, my daughter wanted an agua de mango. They only had the pulp, so the waitress goes back to the kitchen, fixes up an agua de mango by herself (using the pulp) it came out delicious! Service was fast and prices were fair. Nothing I can complain about.

The food was not good. Shrimp was not fully cooked had a wierd taste. I asked for queso cheese and they brung melted cheese. I told the lady I do not like the food and she just walked off. I do not recommend at all. Would rate zero stars if I could! Horrible save your money.

Very disappointed with the service last night. We are regulars and brought in friends who just moved into town. Got there around 6:30pm and there 10 people in front of us waiting to be seated, and then a party of 4 after us. No one came up for 10 minutes and even after a woman told the manager about all of us waiting, no one came up or showed any concern for another 5 minutes or so. There were was a lot of booths and tables available. After being seated, service was extremely slow. I felt like the manager was not engaged or cared about the backlog. I highly recommend the wait staff write down the drink orders. Second time drinks came out wrong.

I had a beef taco al carbon. The meat was DELICIOUS!! Generous portion and tender! I live 45 miles away but I find myself wanting to go back!!!! The salsa was a little hot for my tongue but the bean dip was superb.

We ordered chicken flautas which were excellent! The presentation was flawless, as well. The table guacamole is superb! The chips are amazing and hot out of the kitchen. They offer a red salsa and a guacamole based green salsa. There is a bean dip, too. I prefer the red salsa since it is a bit sweet while the green salsa is a bit more sour. For entrees, we ordered Chilaquiles and Enchiladas de Mole. The food is high quality and we had plenty of leftovers to take with us for another meal. The servers were very personable and knowledgeable. We came during the late afternoon on a Saturday. We definitely enjoyed our meal and it was less hectic than eating at a more typical lunch time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in the vicinity. It is great Tex-Mex cuisine! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options at your own risk

Went there after work for the first time. First impressions are is that it smelled like moth balls. I was getting take out so no big deal. The wait was about 10 to 15 minutes, got the food home and the portions for a 20.00 plate were kind of small except my wifes Chimichanga, I got a beef enchilada dinner with s extra enchilada because the plate only came with 2 and it was still too small of a plate but the food was good. My son got fajita nachos and it was really small . They also included one small hot sauce and chips (also small) in small lunch bag. Living by Parker Square I have seen alot of restraunts fail. If this restraunt wants to survive in Parker Square your going to have to step up the portions. I dont care if they add a few bucks to the cost of a plate gimme a big plate!

My family came in for a Sunday dinner, it wasnt busy, only a few tables, though seemed that there were some to go orders. The food was really good, we ordered fajita salads and I got breakfast for dinner. The chips and salsa were good and the top shelf Rita and Pina Colada were delicious! We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for tasty tex-mex. Our waiter was Andres from Columbia, he was very helpful and a great guy, it was a pleasure!

Called in my order so I would not have a long wait on my lunch break. They tell me it would be ten minutes. So I show up at 15 minutes. First I stand at the host stand for 5 minutes waiting. There are five tables eating so they were not busy. Then the host comes and I tell them I m there for a call in and he tells me they can straighten me out at the bar. So I walk back to the bar. I end up waiting for ten minutes there staring at cooks and staff waiting for someone to even acknowledge me standing there. Eventually the same host that told me to go to the bar ten minutes ago comes and gives me my order with an attitude. If they were busy I could understand. But maybe a quarter of their tables had customers and it was just a pick up. Dining in may be better but definitely do not recommend for pick up.

10/10/10!!!! Food - 10/10 Service- 10/10 Atmosphere- 10/10 Our waiter Daniel was hands down one of the best servers we ve had! Even though we came at 9:30 and they closed at 10:00, we felt no rush and he was super patient and kind explaining everything. Really made the experience that much more amazing. The other staff member, the gentleman who brought us chips was also awesome! It meant a lot when he checked up on us since we were out on the patio. Now on to the food. I normally am not big into Tex mex but let me tell you- the star of the show is their avocado sauce! I m not sure what s in it but I could drink it straight! I ordered the fajitas- and it was so fresh and tasty- even the mushrooms and onions it was on were so yummy! My husband got Oaxaca nachos and he loved them. I would definitely come back!

Our waiter utterly ignored us. Offered zero refills on water or other drinks, checked on us ONCE. Our chips and salsa setup was 8ncimolete, which we pointed out and he said he would remedy but never did. Fir the price they charge for the cheapest food in the world to prepare, I expect better and likely wont be back, despite their steak fajitas being the best around.

I ordered the lunch fajita chicken plate. It was not the normal steamed plate fajitas. It was just a piece of grilled chicken. The service was slow and the food is very bland. When i asked if it was the wrong meal, the server said only dinner has the steam plated fajitas. We won t be back as it was not a filing meal and false advertisement.

I stopped by Gabriela, because of the great reviews. I was disappointed in the food, I had chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. Sad to say they tasted very simple with little flavor, I also ordered a margarita, and was more disappointed on that. It was very sour, and poorly made. I asked for them to take it back and I ordered something that was not on the menu. I ordered an Old Fashion, I cant even describe how sad it was. Needles to say, I will not be returning, or recommending. I will say the customer service was good.

Weve been visiting Gabriela & Sofias in Flower Mound since before the pandemic. The staff is always great. None of this, Not my table stuff you get some places. Its also home to the best carne asada anywhere. It wasnt on the Dishes you recommend list but the Tacos Parilla are excellent! Vegetarian options: Im as carnivore as I can be most days, but the veggie options are all good. You know how all Tex-Mex places have that bland boring orange colored rice, and it gets left behind when you grab a box for your leftovers? I have never left behind more than a few grains of rice, here. Even the carne asada comes on a bed of amazing grilled veggies. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options if your kids are still at that finicky stage. They dont know what theyre missing. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking spots right out front with a ramp. No stairs, etc., a wheelchair can reach any part of the building.

Great Tex-Mex and our server, Anthony was friendly and attentive. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and have enjoyed it. In the past it was always crowded but the last few times we ve been the crowds have thinned, a definite difference. Their prices have increased quite a bit and feel this might be the reason for lack of business. Our tab for two house margaritas and an order of chicken fajita nachos (8) with tax and tip was $52. I know everything has gotten more expensive but seriously this seems a bit extreme for what we ordered.

Decided to go to G&S for the first time, for dinner, Friday evening. The wait was about 30 minutes. The place was crowded and unfortunately very short staffed. The process of registering customers and getting them to their assigned seats was obviously broken and needs to be fixed. After getting seated, it took a good while for the waiter to stop by to take our beverage order and get us the complimentary chips/salsa. As far as the food was concerned(Brisket Quesidillas Chicken enchilladas etc, it was ok, nothing worth the wait or to crow about. There are definitely better Texmex joints locally. One and done!

Amazing Margaritas. The mango is made with real mango! I stick to the enchiladas and their extensive selections never disappoint. The flautitas are mouthwatering and the free chips and bean dip and salsas are to die for. But my favorite menu item is the tres leches. So delicious and not overly sweet. Went in for lunch, got split for 2 fajita plate and had our kids split the half order of chicken quesadilla. We got chips and 3 options for dip once we sat down, green salsa was the best. Decided to try someplace new and glad I did. This little gem is less than 5 mins from my house. Next time...and yes there will be a next time, I will take photos...but the food was absolutely delicious. Joshua was my server, but everyone there was very attentive and passed by to ask if I was okay. I ordered carne asada medium rare. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. I didnt get rice and asked for veggies which were all super fresh. The black beans are also incredibly amazing! Margaritas were also really good! 9/17/22 - Four different staff members helped us during our visit because they were that attentive. The staff is nice (Chick-fil-A level) and extremely helpful. This was our first time at Gabriela and Sofia s, trying on a recommendation, we were NOT disappointed! The staff were all friendly and our server, Isri, (my apologies if I misspelled that) was amazing. I had questions aplenty and curiosities that were both menu and non menu related. He was knowledgeable, helpful and offered honest opinions about a few options that were available. In addition, we didn t have to ask for refills, he was on top of that the entire time. This dining experience was a vast and welcome improvement from that of the one we had at Chante , and it restored my soul. The chips, mashed black beans and two different salsas brought to the table were flavorful and well presented. We also ordered the chili con queso with ground beef added, the small cup size was plenty for the two of us and we still had left overs. The chicken tortilla soup, which was both well seasoned and HOT, was an improvement to previously sampled soups of the past. To often soup has received warm at best, needing to be heated up. Not this time! We had fajitas, he ordered the ribeye fajitas and I, the traditional. Both versions come with bell pepper, onion and fried potato slices. Additionally, the ribeye fajitas came with a gratuitous amount of extra veggies; spinach, mushrooms, sliced green and yellow zucchini, as well and carrot pieces. The refried beans and rice are not over seasoned, we re served at a good temperature and tasted great, even at the end of the night. He asked for The Diablo salsa which does not normally come with the meal, but we do like spicy food. This variety of salsa was not overwhelmingly spicy and maintained a great flavor. As to our experience at this establishment: The quality and quantity of the food was worth both the price and the drive from Denton. Usually an okay place but got a waiter who got my drink wrong then when remade it just put it there without a sorry it a coaster, then ordered 2 spinach enchilada, got my side and the sauce wrong, then have me the wrong enchilada. Hate chicken but just ate it. Then double charged us, took away the plates when bf was still eating the chips and salsa after the meal. As usual, food was very good. Service was very bad, except for the gentleman who was seating people. He had to do the waiters job. Waiter seemed like he didnt want to be there, or at least didnt want to wait on us.

Everything was decent. I was pretty upset about the old lime they put on my drink. (Picture below) That just shows carelessness. The margaritas were VERY strong, definitely give you more bang for your buck. The food was underwhelming. Tamale meat was flavorless and tasted gross. Rice beans and salsa were all standard. Quesadilla was good, but it is difficult to mess that up. Overall expensive prices for large portions of OK food with strong drinks. Would recommend for getting day drunk on chips salsa and margs but thats it.

Came in for lunch and loved the three choices with our chips, red salsa, beans and a tomatillo salsa. We ordered the large table side guacamole(small for two people works have been better), a beef taco salad and street tacos. Everything from the service to the food was excellent!

My friend took me to eat at the restaurant for my birthday. I ordered steak and shrimp The steak was half meat, half fat. I asked the waiter why so much fat on the steak? He said. I dont know, I m the waiter, not the chef. My friend and I didnt say anything. we just looked very disappointed. I left a good tip! We definitely will not return!!!

Customer service. On Friday night my friend and I ate dinner at Gabriela & Sofias in Parker Square, Flower Mound. The food was delicious, environment nice and staff helpful and friendly. But, when we left I accidentally left my phone on the table. The staff didnt just keep my phone for me to come back and collect. One of the staff had seen the direction we had gone, chased us down and returned it to me before Id even realized it was missing. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service! You went above and beyond and it is appreciated!

We noticed this place while driving home one day and decided to try it. This is the best Mexican food I have had since we moved to Texas! In my opinion its not tex-mex, its more like authentic Mexican cuisine. Chips and 3 different dips (avocado cream, black bean, and red salsa) were on the table within 2 minutes of being seated and drinks right after that. I had the brisket enchiladas and my husband had the fajita changa. Very generous portions, meat was tender and the veggies and seasoning were perfect. Wonderful, attentive service from server Mike, and the manager was helping with clearing off dishes, refilling drinks and making sure all was well. They were busy when we visited and yet our food was out within 10 minutes as were the other tables that we observed. We have found our first neighborhood place!

My wife and I tried this restaurant out today and the food and the atmosphere were good, but the service was lousy......we felt ignored and my wife had to hunt down a waitor just to get a refill on her iced tea and the it took forever just to pay the check. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in town and I have better service at Fuzzys.

Unfortunately first and last experience with this resteraunt. I came here to see if i was mistaken but have had the same experience as others with the service. We waited 9 minutes (no one at the front podium) with what turned out to be the host walking back and forth and making eye contact to finally be approached, we asked for a table to seat 4 and the host said ok then walked off. We waited an additional 6 minutes and were asked if we were ready, we followed to a haphazardly cleaned booth and were seated, no menu, no drinks, no request for a child seat. After a few minutes of looking around and attempting to come up with excuses of low staff, many customers or anything at all, we were just perplexed. The waiters buzzed past our table multiple times but never stopped, we set a stopwatch on out phone and after 10 minutes of no service we left.(26+mins total) Im a forgiving person, and will play devils advocate in others defense but this was extremely poor service in neglecting a table/a patient family, as well as bad communication when being approached. Brisket items were best, as recommended by waiter. We had a party of 8 and were delighted to be served in a separate room. However, all large parties were set in this room and the waiter was overwhelmed. Service became very slow and we ended up looking for things like extra napkins ourselves.

Our lunch was very good. We were able to sit on the patio in the shade on a beautiful day. The service was super. The chips are served with 3 dip choices - salsa, bean dip, and an avocado dip. I ordered chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. The chicken was white meat and very tasty. The rice was good, but the beans were a little bland. I will definitely look forward to returning.

Unfortunately, I didnt get to try the food because I was never seated. I stated to the host I was dining alone, but that should make no difference whatsoever in the type of table I get. I watched four other tables walk in behind me and get seated immediately because they had parties of two or more. If there is a table readily available for them, there is one for me. Apparently this restaurant discriminates against single people and you are not welcome here. I am a former server, so I always tip well, and order drinks and appetizers with my meal. You missed out.

Very good. The chips are great! They come out with red salsa, black bean dip, and green salsa. All were very tasty. My wide got the chicken flautas. They looked really good and she said they tasted great. Her only critique was they were a little greasy and her diet coke refill was a little flat. Our daughter got Sofia plate (I believe). The enchiladas looked awesome! She said they were very good. Only complaint was there was part of one enchilada that had a huge pile of garlic. Like when she uncovered it with her fork, I smelled it from across the table before she even said anything. Bummer, because otherwise it was a very nice plate. I got the fajita beef with two fried eggs. If never had anything quite like it. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Nice and runny. The red sauce on top of the eggs and tortillas was pretty much strait tomatoes. Very tasty but no spice at all, which was fine with me. The fajita beef was very good. I would say the second best weve found here in Texas. We sat out on the patio. What a great space. They had music playing and it was a beautiful fall afternoon. We all agreed, the patio was a great space. You see it just a few feet away from where you park but it didnt feel like you were out on the sidewalk because it is down a side alley type space.

Really sad experience today at about 7pm with the host. We waited 12 minutes to even try to get seated. There was no one at the front. Staff kept walking by and no one bothered to acknowledge anyone waiting or seat the four empty tables. There were 10 people waiting to be seated. Once the host finally showed up he said it would be a ten minute wait. I jokingly said on top of the ten we just waited the host proceeded to argue with me and try to disprove how long I had waited and started to make a scene. We took our party of 6 and are going somewhere else. Makes you wonder how many people leave because of the horrible service at the front.

This place is fuggin awesome. I had the Chefs dinner. It comes with a brisket taco, an enchilada and a pork tamale. All delicious. Comes with a brisket sauce too. Put the sauce on everything! The drinks are great as well! The staff are amazing people, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend this place.

Ok y all there s plenty of good Mexican food in FloMo, but THIS PLACE wow. Cute little place with a great vibe in Parker Square. Chips and salsa trio they bring out, delish! If you like jalapeño margaritas, best one I ve ever had. Food wow again. The brisket tacos are out of this world. I repeat, OUT OF THIS WORLD. Dunk them in the sauce they bring out. In fact, dunk everything in that sauce, forever. Danny s dinner (chicken and spinach enchiladas smothered in a generous amount of sour cream sauce and cheese), solid yes! My new go to for quality Mexican food in this area.

Me and my wife went here to eat Dinner! I was here 2 weeks ago, brought my crew and fellow workers to eat . It was good , then when I brought my wife, I am speaking highly of this place! When the waiter Antonio came to the table, we ordered barbacova he said he didn t have it but he had horse meat instead! I have never been so installed in my hold life ! Have been here many times. Wonderful food! Staff is courteous and professional. It can get pretty crowded on a Friday or Saturday evening, so be prepared for the possibility of waiting for a table. We noticed that some patrons REALLY liked staying around to visit after their meal...tying up the table for 20-30 minutes after they were done. Not very cool when people are waiting, but hard for the restaurant to kick them out. We waited for 45+ minutes to get a table last time. We have normally only waited 10-15 minutes.
