I had heard great things about this place and was pretty disappointed. Came here with my husband for a birthday dinner because I was craving a good steak, sadly my ribeye was cold and overcooked, sent it back and then I got an undercooked and under seasoned steak. At this point we just asked for the check and a Togo box because clearly it wasn t going to get any better. I will say that the poblano soup and coconut cocktails were really good, and in fact the best part of our meal.

The pablono soup was fantastic, and old fashion was made well in a very comfortable and relaxing environment. However, the medium rare steak i ordered was overcooked, tough, and under seasoned, and the baked potato needed seasoning as well. The sauce served alongside tastes like the burned pan drippings that they half hazardly plopped on the plate. It was not a bad experience, but it was underwhelming, and definitely not what I was hoping for.

We went to dinner on September 5, 2024 because it was my friends birthday so to start it was a party of 8 so automatically the tip was going to be included. So the waitress was not putting a lot of effort in making sure we were taken care of. I ordered the ribeye sandwich medium rare when she brought me my food I cut into the sandwich and it was not medium rare and quality of the meat did not seem like it was a ribeye I asked her if that was medium rare she said yes but she said I will take it back. I have ordered ribeye sandwichs at Great American on Mesa Hills and they cook it medium rare I have never had a problem there. So she brought the sandwich back and I cut into and it was not done right so I just decided just to eat it I was hungry. Very disappointed at food and service for how expensive it is you would think they would know how to cook the meat and the quality would be better. Certainly we will not be back not worth the money.

My first experience to WTCH.Although I had a pretty good experience, I must point out something that was quite unpleasant, and Im going to be specific,so you can hopefully correct it.Im talking about the private room right behind the main entrance by the racks of meat.i sat in the corner of that room ,and the pungent smell of raw meat was slight, but after sitting there over an hour, the smell of a butcher shop is not the smell you want to experience while your eating. My guest to my immediate right, could also smell it.I personally dont think its necessary to display racks of large uncooked pieces of beef, and ribs.I know your a steakhouse, and yes,its bragging rights, that you stress your main feature,it really doesnt look appealing when you see it,as you walk in,but thats my opinion, but the smell was unnecessary, and you should have that checked.ill definitely go back, but will not be seated I that area anymore.Thank you.

The food is delicious. They have recently priced burgers all the way up to rather pricey steaks. Because I didnt anticipate the prices or look at the menu at a time, I ended up getting a burger. It was delicious. Definitely no complaints about the burger. I did save a little room for the peach bread pudding. I am a bread pudding snob so I was hesitant to order it. OH. MY. WORD! It was buttery and delicious and moist - everything a bread pudding should be.

A special shoutout to Cindy, the manager, who took the time to personally welcome us to the West Texas Chop House family. Her kind gesture made our visit even more memorable. My husband and I came in tonight 8/27/24 around 6:30 after a long drive from Scottsdale. Checking in a hostess curtly asked us to come with her through a door to a small separate area. We wanted a great restaurant with peaceful ambiance and great steak. We were seated in an enclosed area that was very noisy. The beautiful dining area was fairly open so I dont know why they seated us in this small bar like atmosphere. There were 2 large groups already seated in this little area. It was very noisy and my husband and I couldnt hear each other talk though we were next to each other. It was even harder to give our order to the waitress. After about 20 minutes I wanted another napkin but couldnt get the attention of our waitress. We looked around and she was sitting at the bar that connected to the regular dining room bar. There was glass that could be closed (probably because this little area is so loud). One time it was open so she could talk to the bartender as he ate. Otherwise she was on her phone until another waitress joined her to chat. I was not going to walk over there to get her attention. For an upscale steak place this area was horrid. If I wanted to be in a bar I would go to a bar. How unprofessional. The noisiness was one thing but our waitress never checking on us created building frustration. Finally our food arrived, she just plopped the plates down and left. I immediately saw that my steak was overcooked. I took a photo and my husband stood up. We were just done. I asked for the manager. My filet came out well done even though I ordered med rare. They offered to redo mine but that would mean my husband wouldnt eat until mine was done and then his would be cold. Ughhh! Enough! We left without eating. Great example of how a waitress acts in public, treats the customer and their work ethic can ruin a restaurant.

8/17 Ordered the rib eye steak, which tasted great, especially the slightly burnt outer layer. But medium rare was a bit over cooked. I ordered sirloin steak on 8/22 and ordered it medium rare, which was equally delicious. The baked potatoes are also delicious. One thing I have to complain about is that the waiter who served the steaks spilled the steak juices these two days. It spilled on the ground on 8/17 and stained my bag and the floor. The waiter probably didnt notice it and didnt come to clean it. 8/22 was even more exaggerated, it was sprayed directly on my right arm. People who want to spend money at this steakhouse are reminded to pay special attention.

Visited the airway location several times now, and this is my review from all visits. Food: The first time we went, we were very happy with the steaks. The cuts were good, and they had good flavor, as they often tout they season with their special seasoning, so it made us want to return. However, all visits after that just seemed to disappoint. Steaks would not be cooked as ordered, the charr would be too hard on the outside to chew through, or it would not be seasoned at all. I had ordered extra seasoning for my steak, and instead it came with no seasoning on it at all. For the number of steakhouses on that street, much less in the area, I would say youd be better off spending your money at one of those places for a decently made steak. I usually order the Tres leches cake for dessert, but the meal turned me off to it so much last night, I didnt bother. Service: The hostesses are either really stressed, or really focused, because they often look very serious when greeting customers. If you go before 8:00 PM for dinner on a weekend, do expect to have a wait before you can get seated. I feel like part of the problem with the wait is how long it takes for the service staff to check on you during your meal. We have been left waiting up to 5 minutes for just our drink order, and after we get our meal, the wait is also extensive before they check on you, so if you need to address something with your meal, it is sitting there getting cold while you wait on someone to check in with you. Last night was my final straw when I asked for salt and steak sauce to season my food, and waited 10 minutes to get it while I watched my waiter go all over the restaurant to take care of other things. Be aware that if you get there after 9:00 (reminder, they close at 11:00 on weekends), you will begin to feel pushed out because they start cleaning up early rather than waiting for patrons to be finished and the restaurant closed. So, not only are you there a long time due to lack of attention, but then you feel rushed to leave if youre too close to closing. Weve observed the manager several times, and he does not really walk the floor. He is always in the corner of the restaurant just observing, so you cant even give feedback on the visit. Parking: Parking is a little weird here. They have two lots to accommodate high volume, but the spaces are so close together, it makes you nervous to park next to some people. The spaces in the back are shorter, and you feel like your car could get hit with the way it sticks out into the driving lane.

Dirty glass twice with lipstick the second time, so they clearly don t wash the bar ware (at least consistently). Filet mignon is not a filet mignon. It is a thick cut 8 ounce sirloin, just look at the grain of the meat and see how chewy the meat is on a medium rare. Baked potato came out cold. I get it, you gotta make some ahead of time. But at least make sure they re hot when you serve them. Server was slow and barely came by. Came for a business dinner but will certainly not be back. But hey, nice décor.

Asked for my t-bone medium well and got it medium rare blood was all over my steak. I asked if they could put it back for a min or 2 and the cook didnt like that. So my husband had to ask what like what happened to the steak and they brought me the steak , dry, over well done, I couldnt cut it , I tried to eat it but it was rubbery, and turned to sand paper in your month, it was hard to swallow. Unfortunately I was sitting in front of them and they all just looked at me with a grin. Horrible Horrible with so many steak restaurants you would think they would hire a cook that knows what medium well is.. they have a picture on their menu. I was to upset to complain. Definitely go somewhere else at least until this cook leaves. headed to whataburger

I love salads, expecially when theyre balanced and well thought out. I ordered the southwest salad which is what my 1 star is based on because it was the worst southwest salad ive ever had. there was nothing southwest about this salad. i think just because they put corn and beans in the salad, it classifies as southwest. the dressing was some kind of cilantro thing which was extremely bland and tasted very watered down. they dont carry bbq sauce (figured i can make an adhoc southwest dressing) so i settled for ranch which had way more taste than the cilantro dressing... but its ranch and i was supposed to be eating a southwest salad. the salad had no southwest seasonings. the tortilla strips they threw in there did nothing for the salad. the chicken was overly salted so i asked for limes to counter the salt. in fact, adding the lime made the salad taste more southwest than without. such a disappointment. please dont call it a southwest salad if youre going to serve the disgrace I ate tonight. do your research on what a good southwest salad is and craft something better. someone at my table also got the 12 oz sirloin steak, medium rare. the meat was tough and chewy so it was a disappointing meal for them. i would not recommend this place nor would i come back

Definitely more casual than the usual steakhouses but I think the biggest takeaway from this night was the service was very subpar. From the hostesses to the waitress. The hostess very dryly told us to follow her and led us to a table that was being sat as we approached. She seemed confused and then said follow me and turned and walked away. So we hastily follow her back to the front. She figures out where else to sit us and then says is this okay. It was dinner time so it was a bit busy and the table was in a cramped spot but I said yeah if this is all you have then we can sit. She looks at us and says well its because we have a lot of reservations. Newsflash: we had a reservation as well We ended up ordering the West Texas Feast. It was just okay. Tilapia was a little fishy. Fried chicken bland. After awhile the waitress came by reaches for the meat platter and says what I thought was do you want me to box this? the whole table heard her. So we affirmed and said yes box it please and but instead, she threw it away. I didnt realize until I looked at the table and saw the sides were still just sitting there and so I asked if she had boxed the meat and she was like oh I thought you said toss it. Then said sorry I miss heard you. Then walked away. Offered no other remedy. Just left. I thought about speaking to a manager but decided it wouldnt be worth it. So yeah...I was also surprised to box my own leftovers (the sides) at a steakhouse but whatever I guess..... Maybe Ill have a better or different experience at another location... IDK z

When went for lunch to treat my mother who came from out of town for a visit. The kids menu was awesome, my daughter destroyed the Mac and cheese, and the portions were incredibly generous for the price. My son asked for a corn cobette to go with his burger but when I asked for that the waitress told me it was a bruleé? Thats not what the menu offered. Im not sure if she was familiar with the menu or if they just didnt have corn on the cob that day. Our waitress was standoffish. It wasnt very busy, I saw that we were one of only two of her tables but she was never to be seen. I got the chicken fajitas and the chicken was so dry, and the tortillas were hard which makes me think they had been sitting around for a while. It took her a long time to bring bread and take our orders. I ordered a water to go with my meal and it had a strange, chemical taste to it that even lemon couldnt cover. There was nowhere on the menu that listed non-alcoholic drinks. The food was very well seasoned, the steak fries were probably the best Ive ever had, and the charro beans were pretty good, but the star of the show should have been the chicken and it was kind of hard, dry and a bit of a let down. I guess thats what I get for ordering something other than beef. Lol Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere doesnt seem kid friendly at first, its rather dark and modern/formal inside, but the kids menu had crayons and little activities, and the choices were amazing.

During our 4th of July visit to El Paso, we had an absolutely delicious experience at the Chop House on the west side. Impressed by the food, I decided to take my family to the Airway location before our flight back home. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, our server was dismissive, which should have been our first red flag. After waiting 20 minutes for water and still not receiving any bread, we asked for a new server. Although my family wanted to leave, I insisted on staying, hoping the food would make up for the poor service. We arrived at 2:30 PM and did not receive our food until almost 4 PM. My moms medium-rare steak was cooked medium-well, my daughter received diced grilled chicken instead of the chicken tenders she ordered, and my sisters salad was served after she had already received her steak. My asadero burger, which my husband had enjoyed on the west side, was dry, lackluster and did not have the jalapeño on top. My brother-in-laws steak sandwich was simply a piece of steak on a bun. I voiced my concerns to the manager, Dominic Pedroza, who provided his card for our next visit. Despite this gesture, the overall experience was extremely disappointing, especially since I wanted to treat my family to a nice dinner before flying back home. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend considering the other locations or even other dining options. The service was slow and inattentive, and the food quality did not meet expectations. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident, but proceed with caution if you choose to dine at the Airway location. **Owners and/or general managers need to pay this location a visit.**

The waitress could not have been better. 10 stars for the waitress. We were there and had the lunch special, the food was great. I have trouble getting people to come with me to this restaurant because it is so loud though. Its more like a sports bar than a restaurant in terms of noise levels. Thats my only complaint about this restaurant though, the food and service are always great. Parking: This is a popular restaurant and the parking lot is always a bit tight. But Ive never been unable to find a parking place. Just expect to have to look around a bit and maybe squeeze in a little tighter than youd prefer.

I was out for a steak, and Chophouse is popular in El Paso. Interior was pretty good food I would say not so good, iced water felt like from toilet so much chlorine, baked potatoes were cold inside and not cooked throughly, disgusting. Steak was good and sauce was very good too. House wine red was delicious very good. So I gave 4 stars, but maybe its little too much.

My son and my wifes dish was in accordance with their tastes Note that this poll has an error in the dishes I recommend since there is only one. Parking: It has parking for disabled people. Review for west Texas Chop House We recently visited Chop House with a larger party. While the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly, the service was disappointingly slow. Additionally, two of our chicken dishes were overcooked and dry, which was a letdown. Despite these issues, we appreciated the overall ambiance and the warmth of the staff. With some improvements in service speed and food quality, it could be a great dining spot.

Although the food was good as always, understanding that it was Father s Day and the weight would be longer, we were told that the weight would be approximately an hour, and we waited exactly that amount of time. The issue with that was that the staff, knowing that they had large groups waiting, took 20 minutes to clean and reset two tables for groups of 8 to 10 people. The manager just stands around doesn t rush his people to work faster. The meal took another hour to be served. The food itself was very good.

I am in high agreement with Todd Gayle s review! We have been there twice about 2 weeks apart and both times the waitress and the waiter seemed like we were bothering them! You come in the front door and there are 3 very young hostesses, barely looking up to greed you, waiters barely smiled, and showed up only a few times! We are not snobs, just average folks but this does make a difference! We don t mind paying good money for good food, but in nice restaurant, you just think the service will be better. Who ever the manager is, it is his responsibility to train his staff, and it was not busy both times when we went. Food was great!

Update 06.01.2024: Reached out to their General Manager on May 27th 2024 and still have not received a response to this date. Ambiance was great and perfect for a date night. The waitress forgot to put our appetizer order in, but we continued to try to enjoy our night. My wife ordered her steak medium well and when it came out, it was really rare and was bright red in the center. Blood was pooling on the cutting board. We had to call another employee over about the issue because we couldnt find our waitress. When they brought her steak back, it was a different lady and she had an attitude when she asked my wife if thats well enough for you. The steak was now closer to medium rare but still not what my wife ordered. Our initial waitress said she might have accidentally switched our plates. We ended the night with cheesecake that seems to be prepared frozen and pre prepped. We expected a little more for the prices.

Wow - this place was a find. Had dinner last night after first considering Famous Daves. Have those in Phoenix so chose this. Could not have been happier. Still cant get over the prices. Compared to Phoenix, shaking my head. The Our Fashioned Old Fashioned drink at dinner was $10. Their regular Old Fashioned, $7. Can pay as much as double that in Phoenix. Burgers, about $12 compared to $20 in Phx. Food portions are sizable. Settled on the 12 oz. ribeye and it did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly. Had a small Ceasar salad and some of the Brule corn my coworker ordered. The side alonewould have served 5 people. I thought service was exceptional and I loved the ambiance. They even brought a little tree to table so I could hang my purse somewhere. Never ever seen that before. Loved it. I would eat here once a week if nearby. My coworker, stuck in El Paso due to storms in Houston, went back for lunch. His bill, $11.06 for burger and an iced tea. You cant get breakfast for that in Phoenix. Just amazing. Well done.

First off, the chophouse is a very well appointed and cool looking steakhouse. It looks very high-end. I ve only been to this restaurant twice so take this with a grain of salt. But the waitress we had tonight had some serious attitude issues. She literally avoided our table, once the food was served. As a good friend who works in the restaurant business once told me, The wait staff should always have something in their hand. Either bringing something or taking something from your table. I was dismayed that our waitress would continually walk by and ignore all the dirty plates, glasses and bowls on our table. If we were there for an hour and a half, the dirty plates were there until we left. She reluctantly came and moved a couple after I flagged her down right before we left. At this price point that is just unacceptable. Kudos to the chefs as the food was good, but the whole experience would ve been better had our waitress been more attentive and willing to do her job.

Good service from the staff, good food and nice place, but it took more than an hour to bring the dishes and they arrived almost cold, the justification was that they had a large table to serve but the restaurant had very few occupied tables, we were about to leave. Look for another place, I cant imagine if we would have arrived when it was full, I think they must have the capacity to handle the capacity they have.

I might have gone with my instinct from my experience with the host. After saying Id like to wait for a booth and not eat at the bar she replied, fine then, itll be a 30 minute wait. The great service continued with my waiter, lack of attentiveness with the general, can I get you something to drink? Or would you like a refill? Wouldve been the minimal standard. When my order arrived, of course it was incorrect. A burger of all things; maybe the least complicated American order ever conceived. They quickly ripped it apart and slapped the same burger back on the grill and re-made it. Shouldve gone down the street to Jack in the Box if I wanted a burger.
