We came to try the bread of the dead because of the weather and in celebration of the beginning of the month of October. The service was perfect, Fernando, the person who served us was very attentive, the service is a thousand times better than the other locations. We tried the bread of the dead with pastry cream plus blackberry and it was delicious, highly recommended. We will return for the strawberry one

Looks good but isn t with all love and respect and mega expensive One of the soup had like 7 or 10 strips of spaghetti , over doing the sauce and they throw two burn breads on the sauce and torta looks good but the inside all the food is mix up and throw all together like it was compress .. chips and sauce was only good thats the appetizer and told them water and they brought their brand and charges us that when I said tap water cause kids end up drinking ours . Rude service he was rolling his eyes .

This was my first time eating at La Casa De La Abuela, and I was impressed when I walked in. The place is stylish, with lovely decor and an ambiance perfect for smaller groups. The staff was professional and friendly from the start. La Abuela offers a selection of croissant pastries that are good, though I believe there s room for improvement in the dough. That said, they re still enjoyable. Our server, Candy, was fantastic! She was professional, attentive, and sweet, always ensuring we had everything we needed. She prepared a Café Lechero that was absolutely on point. (I have to say, I love their uniforms.) I ordered the Huevos La Abuela, and they were delicious. I also tried the Matcha Panqueques La Abuela while they were on the sweeter side, they were ultimately delicious, with a spongy texture. The fruit was fresh and flavorful, and the ice cream was the cherry on top! I recommend giving this place a try. Five Stars

A very pleasant atmosphere, clean and very well decorated facilities. My review is about the price, I dont understand why from $15 it went up to almost $20 dollars for chilaquiles, its a lunch dish, they gave me very fried eggs when I ordered them o/m for the cost of the dish I probably would have returned them. If you feel like spending $50 dollars on two people for breakfast you can go, if not, dont go, they have a very expensive menu. I wouldnt go again.

This is a posh mexican place. I love the decor and the ambiance. It is a quaint food place which is not ideal for big groups. I m not saying you can t go there if you re a group of 8 or more, it s just going to be tight, so I suggest before you go there, speak with the manager to let them know so they can find a perfect spot for your big group. I love the food. It is a bit pricey for my taste but at least the food is good. The servers are in uniform which reminded me of Whattaburger, because of the color. If there is something the restaurant should improve on, maybe a simple classier look for the servers (the berets are not my favorite). The food took longer to serve and it could be because they were busy; and since it was still good, I m giving them a 5 star overall review. You should try it. I ll come back again.

Beautiful place. Beautiful presentation of food and drinks. Have been 4 to 5 times since it opened, and have always been extremely underwhelmed with the actual food though. I feel we have tried a wide variety of dishes, but unfortunately everything is always lacking flavor and is served cold to luke warm at best. Today, we noticed in particular that thr majority of kids order chicken strips but noticed most of the orders were left mostly untouched. Cold chicken strips and overly greasy, soggy, Cold fries that no one really eats. Their brunch plates look beautiful, but every single thing we have ever tried- whether the chilaquiles, omelets, enchiladas have all been bland in flavor and served cold. Whoever is cooking really needs to start over and focus more on flavor and food temperature than presentation. You absolutely cannot be putting out cold beans, eggs, enchiladas, etc. I cannot see ourselves going back again, except for maybe some coffee. Great concept, just being poorly executed. Fix the food, and you have a winner. Best wishes. Kid-friendliness: Avoid Chicken strips. Avoid their fries. Bacon strips, scrambled eggs, plain pancakes. Most kids eat this- add to the menu.

Hubby wanted to try after seeing their conchas online. They got those right. Concha is about the size of a small plate so bigger than traditional sweet bread at a panaderia. Warm and flufffy. He ordered migas no sauce. Said they were good. Migas come with refried black beans and potatoes. Asked for double potatoes. Service was great. Ladies attentive and courteous. What I didnt like was their oversauced migas I ordered and lukewarm weak coffee (non dairy creamer was also not my favorite). I kept beans and potatoes. They were ok. My migas got lost in all the sauce & veggies. Portions are generous though. Limited drink options to coffee, lemonade, chocolate, water. For the price, I expected a little more.

Very bad service. We waited over an hour to get our breakfast. Server never came over to our table without us asking. He didnt ask what else was needed after bringing the food. He never refilled our drinks. Who appeared to be the manager never made eye contact with us so we could be attended to. Then we asked for the bill and was taking over 20 minutes to get. We had to get up and go to the front and the server was still trying to get the bill. He never apologized and manager never acknowledge any of us. No one ever apologized for anything. It was my first time there. The manager was very kind and welcoming. He explained the process of how to order. I got an order of chilaquiles, added an egg, coffee, and a dessert. I paid close to $30. Everything tasted pretty good especially the flan. My friend got some type of croissant dessert you can kind of see in back of flan photo which was good but the flan was better. This is our second time here and both times it has not been good. First time food was ok and service was not so good. We had to ask for silverware twice after our meal was already there. This second time the food was bland(breakfast) no flavor. We again had to ask for our silverware after my husbands food arrived. Wow! In this place the service is excellent. Their clothing, professionalism and attention make us feel at home. I ate a pozole that was very delicious and I couldnt miss the pot coffee. The only negative thing I can say is the bread they put on the table. It was hard, but thats the least of it. I fell in love with the Chandelier so much that I had to make a video of it, Im going to leave it here. Music was to loud. For a Friday it was dead. We ordered a choriqueso, it was awful! It looked like soup, too much grease. Corn tortillas are store bought. Flour tortillas were half cooked. I ordered the milanesa plate, black beans and rice were cold. Milanesa was more like breading only, more of a half order than a full order. The waitress handed me a dirty spoon when I asked for one. Resembles a light store at first look. Pricing is wrong, should say expensive but worth it? I would say $30-$40 per person. Cucumber lemonade is $6.50, no refills. Soda is $5. Decide to ask for water? $3.75 no refills bottled ONLY. Most entrees are $16-$20... The staff wear uniforms, very friendly... well done. Spanish is predominant language. Atmosphere is a tough grade while referring to fastfood or most franchise restaurants. I normally give 1 or 2 stars, but they do a great job, think McDonalds with chandeliers. I say that because they have a buffet line used during different times, but also literally have 10+ chandeliers in the modest dining room. Parking: Plenty of free level easy access spots... Wheelchair accessibility: Double door but leftside locked. Parking and entry is flat, level and without effort. They do not have identified seating just pull away a chair.

Perfect experience! The food and service was excellent. Fernando our waiter gave us excellent service and gave us excellent recommendations. Hopefully when we return they will serve us again :) We loved the entomatadas and enchiladas suizas.

Great place! Everything was delicious. 1 thing I will mention. I ordered the enchiladas suizas and they were a bit to sweet hour Mt liking. But they were quick to replace my order! Loved it. Will be back soon! P.S. if you have kids, order the pancakes with fruit! Youll thank me later.

First and foremost don t pay attention to the 3.3 star rating. This place is absolutely 5 stars. The place is beautiful, the presentation of the food visually stunning, and the taste is amazing. The people giving it low ratings are just too lazy, and entitled to get up and walk 10 feet to order your food it really isn t that much of an inconvenience.

Went for a birthday dinner. Amazing service, good food. Pricey, but the food was good. Tapiqueña plate has a little bit of everything. I do recommend. Pictured chicken Alfredo, LA Abulas chicken plate, poblano chicken plate, tapiquena plate. They also have pastries. Huge conchas.

The atmosphere plus the decor is amazing, lighting is great, very much a family friendly establishment. Food and desserts are amazing not to mention the variety of plates there is offered to eat, our service given to us by our server Miriam was amazing, she payed very much attention in detail when it came to our orders, was attentive with our needs, and gave us a great time. Will be coming next time to recommend her as my server again.

Wife and I had lunch here, ordered the tacos a la plancha and my wife enchiladas mexicanas. The meat in the tacos was burnt and I can tell the cooks had almost no training on how to cook or the person that taught them has no clue. You cook meat first then chop it if u have to. The reason for this is that the meat retains moisture and is less likely to be burnt. Also before cutting meat allow it to rest a minute or two after cooking. The enchiladas were mediocre and the black beans little flavor. The food presentation was good and the environment as well. Thats why I gave it 2 stars.

The service is basically non-existent. You order upon arrival and pay, too. They leave your food when ready. If you need anything, be prepared to get up and go ask for it. The food is the only thing worse than the service. Dont waste your time and stay away. I definitely dont recommend this place!

Over priced. I dont like the whole idea that you have to order before you sit... like a fast food restaurant minus well go to burger King. and then they still expect you to tip even before you start eating. $8 dollars for a peice of bread. Do not recommend... service is very poor.. food is ok. But not worth it because of service

I visited this location anticipating the same level of service as their primary location. There were no waiters, and they expected tips upfront. The food was mediocre; the Abuelitas Breakfast reminded me of McDonalds breakfast platter, but at a higher price. And paper cups? Seriously??? .Its lost its authentic touch.
