Overall great sushi for the value! For about $31, I got a rainbow roll, takoyaki, 2 squid nigiri, and a tuna roll The rainbow roll was a decent size and the fish was fresh. The rice was good texture. The takoyaki was warm and flavorful, with a slight crispness on the outside. The squid nigiri was decent, though I felt like a little more squid and less rice would have been a better balance. The servers were very attentive and patient and the restaurant is clean and spacious. Overall would recommend.

This masa sushi is one of the best ones, DO NOT GO TO THE 1 ON NASA. This one here in the Bay colony location is by far the best one. Maddie was so sweet& attentive she asked even if I wanted a water to go. Such a gem. I would much rather spend my money here than the other location. Vegetarian options: They have non meat options, but you can always ask&they have things that would suit the veggie lifestyle. I love their sauteed veggies&their veggies tempura*chefs kiss*

Great food. Great portion sizes. Great service. One of the hostesses even decorated a napkin for my daughter. Our waitress was new but did an excellent job serving us. My kids even loved their food and were sure to eat any leftovers. We are all ready to go back! Parking: Plenty of spots being that it is located in a shopping center. Kid-friendliness: They give coloring pages with the kids menu printed on them. The kids portions are better than expected and taste wonderful.

I ve been here twice, once solo and once with a lunch group. The best choice is the sashimi or nigiri. Rolls are so-so with dyed ginger and imitation crab. Wasabi is fire hot!! Restroom (ladies) was not clean and the Sauv Blanc was $12. Miranda was an awesome waitress at the bar and service was quick. My husband got the special fried rice and it was pretty soggy either way fatty meat. Both times were at lunch so maybe it s better for dinner.

We love eating at this location. The other customers are friendly and welcoming, the staff are polite and accommodating. Their rolls are always on point. We ended up getting the shrimp shumai as an appetizer for a change this last time, and that was an AMAZING choice! We usually get a very reasonably priced sake bomb setup with our meal. Update - April 2024: Masa released new menus with many of the same great items. We just got back from the Wednesday Night Happy Hour with half-priced nigiri sushi. Even after ordering Crab Puffs, beef and tuna sashimi, a dozen or more nigiri, and a round of sake bombs, the check was under $60.00. What a wonderful value for a delicious meal.

Masa is my family s favorite place to eat sushi! Everything is just so delicious. Some favorites are the Spicy Mussels, Oh Yeah Beef, and Pork Katsu Don. The sushi is always fresh and flavorful. There are so many rolls to choose from and they even offer some half rolls and hand rolls! The last time we went, they had live scallop as a special! It was my first time ever having it, and it was incredible!! The scallop was creamy and melted in your mouth! Big fan. Big fan.

WOW is all I can say. I ve found my new sushi spot. I m from austin and was craving so sushi.. the Escolar was some of the BEST I ve had!! Melts in your mouth with a nice helping of crispy garlic on top. I got the Panda Wu roll and OMG so delicious! The PERFECT amount of kick with freshness. Small sushi spot next to HEB on 646. Our server was sweet, introduced themselves as Abreal. We told her it was our first time there and she helped guide us through the menu. We said we liked tuna so she recommended their new roll the dynamite tuna roll and tuna poke nachos both were fantastic. The manager stopped by to check up on us. We will definitely be back!

Our server was very kind but they served me sushi that smelled sooooo strongly of fish and it smelled a little rancid and sushi should have little to no smell of fish if its safe to eat. Be careful eating here. Someone 3 months ago said they were sick. This place needs to take peoples health more seriously. Sad. Ive never had sushi like that before.

The restaurant is a big mess it feels like a storage place not a restaurant, please check the photos! The food is terrible by all means, the calamari was unchewable it was pieces of hard rubber. Do not expect your table to be cleared from the finished plates, no one came to take some of the plates from our table, even since we entered and til we left the table next to us was never cleaned, and that was because of the workers were busy on their phones behind the stairs. We were the only customers there. Please save your money for a better place.

I have visited here often in the past however it has gotten so dirty and the smell is not that of fresh fish. The freshness of the fish has gone away. I got the LS 1 Sashimi special on Saturday 10/22 at around 3pm. The fish did not taste right other than the salmon and it to was not fresh. I bit into a piece of white fish piece of nigiri that had had a red sauce on it and knew immediately it was not fresh. It was rotten no doubt. I spit it out and even inspected and smelled the other fish noticing it was either freezer burnt or sat prepped in a fridge drying it out. I eat Sashimi at least 3-4 times week and was reminded why I do not eat here anymore. The lettuce in the salad was all yellowed as well and dry. I ended up with 24 hours of food poisoning AND WAS MISERABLE from this visit. DO NOT EAT HERE ITS GONE DOWN HILL AND THEY KNOW THEY HAVE. NOW LETS SEE THERE REDICULOUS REMARK BACK OR RATHER EXCUSES FOR THEIR LACK OF SERVING TRULY FRESH FOOD.

I go here often and typically have a positive experience. Unfortunately that wasnt the case the last visit when we stopped by for lunch. The waitress wasnt attentive and kept claiming to be swamped but the dining room had few tables sat and she kept going to stand in an area we could clearly see her talking to another employee. Nearby tables also seemed annoyed at how long service was taking. We had to stop a different waiter twice to ask for things our waitress hadnt brought.

Server was nice but a super filthy little establishment. Took a good 30 minutes to receive the tiny spring rolls costing a hefty 1.75 each. They won t tell you what they re up charging before you get the bill either. Paid nearly 40 dollars for ramen and spring rolls. Chicken was of canned noodle soup quality and paid 2 dollars extra for it! It didn t help that the mushrooms taste like straight pesticides too. The friendswood location is far better in their service and food. Please avoid the bay colony masa sushi at all costs. You will surely find the staff hiding and sitting in the back coughing and sneezing omicron particles on your food if you need help.

Went to the friendswood location no servers available then went to the Dickinson location sat for 30 mins no food not even started preparing my order I m on my lunch break at work I had to leave to grab something quick elsewhere, horrible timing and service will be awhile till I give them another shot.

The bar service was ok on a slow lunch day, but she was friendly enough. Wasnt a huge fan of the Spicy Edamame - it wasnt that spicy and its sauteed in oil - unexpexted. The Deezy roll with Ponzu sauce was delicious as were the pieces of Hamachi (yellowtail) and Maguro (tuna). Also tried the Astro roll (crawfish), which was good if you like tempura rolls. It was pretty pricy so expect that.

Our Masa Sushi lunch experience was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Masks are still required when you arent at your table and all the staff did a great job with all of the protocols. We were actually provided real menus and salt and pepper shakers. Plenty of options for those that prefer non-sushi options. Prices are reasonable and plenty of parking. Great lunch out with the girls.
