Came in with low expectations, was highly impressed! The manager Johnny met us at the door and also took our order since the servers were busy. Even with a packed full bar, Monica and Maya were excellent! Got margarita flights, guac and queso, shrimp tacos, and the big borderito. I love On the Border as a whole, and this place was an outstanding example. I understand everyones experience may differ, but ours was great!

The food was great. However, the service was lacking. The atmosphere wasn t the best either because there was the music playing through the speakers then employees playing music loudly. So the entire time it was a competition to see what music could be louder. Not really a fan of getting a headache while having dinner.

We came in during happy hours to celebrate my niece birthday and we sat at the bar, no music ,I ask the young lady was it ok if I could play my phone to a small speaker she said it was ok, but the other blond hair girl said I had to turn it off because the GM didnt want music play in the bar area. I find that to be a problem the bar usually has music, thats why we sat in the bar area and not the table. I use to love coming to on the boarder, but we left and went were we can hear music and enjoy . I had a small speaker and wanted to play it at a low tone for my nieces for her birthday. Thank u

Had the Cali Crunch and it was wonderful. Crispy taco inside of a tortilla wrap, with guacamole, pico, fajitas. Will try it again next time but with the hot Cheetos option. The service person was exceptional but the wait for food was 40 minutes in the middle of the day and there was only 5 people in the whole restaurant. Also the music was so loud you could not here each other at the table and the other table complained as well but they would not turn it down or off. Will not be back to that one but will at another place.

Had lunch at the Desoto location for the first time. When I tell you we had EXCELLENT Service! From the minute we walked in. We were greeted as soon as we walked. Our server Z was amazing! I eat at OTB all the time for happy hr, and when stopping in at those location it shocked me that they had so many people working but no one running food and helping out the bartenders who clearly need food runners so they could focus on there bar guests! The bartender was so busy she was juggling 4 different couples order and t single people all by memory and making service well during and the entire bar... I cant believe on a Fri night she didnt have back up.... do better OTB! MY food was amazing as always love the Tex Mex here!!!!

Atmosphere was very nice, the place is colorful and clean. Food was good, we also had some very tasty margaritas. Service was horribly long and disorganized. I asked for the beers on draft and the lady didnt know, so I gave two choices. She came back saying they were out of my choices, and she didnt came back with more options or suggestions. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask directly to the bartender. My colleague also had to go to the bar directly for her drink after a 40 minute wait. The food finally came in. It was good and fresh. But I would not go back just because of the wait.

I didnt want to believe the reviews but they arent far off. We waited close to 10 minutes to be seated. After being sat we waited another 15 to 20 minutes and never even got a hi from one person before finally leaving. Another table walked in 10 minutes after we sat at our booth. Not only did they get a hi they got their chips and salsa within a few minutes of being sat. I guess they pick and choose who they really want to wait on here. OTB used to be my favorite restaurant growing up in Arlington. I havent been to OTB in years since I moved to a different city and it looks like that is going to be the case again sadly.

The service was so slow that a table of 3 who was seated ~10 mins after we were sat for 15 mi s without any server coming over to.... They left without fanfare. Our food took 30 mins to aalrrive and it was cold, on top of not being very good. After the food was served, it was 10 mins beforewe saw the server, or any server again. At least 3 drinks were empty, waiting on a refill or the offer to refill. We will not return to that location, nor any other location.

Walked in no one was at the front stood there with our daughter for 15min until someone even acknowledged us. Which makes no sense because the place was basically empty. Where should I start, ordered the chicken fajitas got a dried grilled chicken breast instead. Asked for flour tortillas and got 1 in a rolled aluminum foil wrap. On Saturday evening, March 23, 2024, after standing for about 15 minutes, we were finally acknowledged and the young lady that came to seat us literally just stood there and looked at us. We were taken to a table that was not cleaned, liquid chips were all over the floor. After asking for the area to be cleaned, I noticed that there were several customers that were not served and were complaining about not receiving water, drinks, chips or food. This was the worst service ever. I had guests from out of town and we chose to go somewhere else. It may be a while before I go back to this establishment.

Food was good, however the service was awful! Our server did not bring us silverware, and we waited on our two frozen margaritas and one beer for 15-20min. When we finally asked him where our drinks were he informed us that the frozen margarita machine was down and they were out of the beer we asked for. The lady next to us was drinking a frozen margarita, but we decided not to raise the issue. We asked for fresh tortillas only to receive them after we received our meal. Last he charged $56 for two beers and we had to wait another 20minutes for that to be corrected.

At the time I came not enough waiters as it seems everyone had to sit in the back of the restaurant. my chips I receive were in a dirty bowl , we receive to go knives and forks ( which I am glad of because i am not sure if they were clean)Wait staff talking and not seeing to visitors in front . Our waiter Colby was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Told the mgr about the bowl and my spouse saya that kind of stuff makes you not enjoy your food. Quantin, is clearly over whelmed because a sprite took 30 minutes to serve. I ordered off of lunch menu and they brought my sons food out 30 minutes after ordering and then received my food 15 minutes later. All you have to do is walk out and then ONLY THEN will they finally run to give you your tab you ve been asking for and waving the waitress down for while they re in the kitchen gossiping. And the new girl with the braids. Let her go. Initially when we got there nobody was there to seat us and then the girl who sat us was rude and seen her being rude to others. We never got our drinks we ordered from the bar. We ordered our drinks before we ordered our food. We finally had to tell the server to cancel the drinks b/c we were done eating & still had not received them. Speaking of our server. She was not attentive & very slow. She didnt check on us to see if everything was okay. Never came to us to tell us what was going on with our drinks. We had to ask 2x for silverware & then got To-Go silverware with no extra napkins. Had to ask 2x for the ticket. We like On The Border. The DeSoto location has got to do better

I hadnt been in a while but the stuffed peppers were still on point. I called in my order for pick up. They were hot, fresh, and delicious. My only complaint was the small size of the cheese sauce and the small hot sauce that they give with the big bag of chips. I had 2 orders for my husband and myself so we had plenty of chips but the small hot sauce didnt go far at all! They have also really jumped in price!

Went last night worse experience. Food was bland taste and rice was hard. Waitress took a long time to get our drinks. And then took another 15 min to get food ordered. Finally got food had to send food back because my order was wrong. I ask another waitress for salt n pepper she didn t even look for it finally our waitress found pepper but no salt. Totally disappointed in DeSoto On the Border service.

Used to be my favorite place but not anymore me and my wife ordered through Uber eats and hours later we were sick as dogs went back and looked at our plates and the guacamole had turned brown. Its Wednesday night and Im just now recovering. Somebody needs to do something about how they handle or date their foods. Ive heard people say that this place is nasty and theyve been sick before but this is our 1st and last issue with On The Border Lancaster EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK

There was no one at the host counter, she finally came after a 10 min wait. We got seated, only to discover she was the hostess, the waitress and the food deliverer . This place used to bring Mr such joy. Now its like a mysterious place I dont know. Constant turnover and staff Shortages, food quality and consistency is not good. Will just pass by next time! Please dont send me a response because its auto and disingenuous and this brand sends a reply to all negative experience comments....but NEVER CHANGE FOR THE BETTER! Place was almost empty and still had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Then another 15 minutes to take our order, meanwhile the folks that were sat at another table near us a couple minutes later, had their order taken and it was being delivered to them shortly after our order was taken. Server never came back to check on us, walked by our table 5 times before she finally acknowledged me asking for the bill. Worst service Ive had in years

We went about 5 PM on a week night. We had to go find waitstaff. The gentle who finally helped was awesome. Saw a roach going towards the restroom. Saw a staff member vaping in the private dining room. Food was not very good. Lets say this was the first time we have ever left a Mexican restaurant still hungry. The beer was good.
