Went on a Saturday night with friends. Requested seating for 6 people, provided a both which could only accommodate 4! Went to the bar to order a drink, bar tenders looked like they were only familiar pouring drinks at a house party! Took over 20 minutes because the 2 of them were tending to the drinks for all of the servers! Speaking of which, they force you to get a table or both, so that youll be charged a gratuity! Booths and tables are poorly positioned and very intrusive when you have to get up. Management totally lacking hospitality and courtesy. We there for only 30 minutes and left to go to Odyssey which was better!

This is where you go if you just want to get out. Its very chill, not too many people, not lit at all. They call it grown folks. I call it old folks. They dont play songs with cursing, nobody really dances, and everyone is either with someone or super old. The fish and wings are good. The cajun rice is good, just too dang salty. They can be overly pricy, but I guess when you dont have a packed club, you have to make up for it somewhere. They charge way too much for tables if you want to reserve, and they only seat 4 people. They dont allow you to move them together, and neither will they. They like to play a lot of line dance music which gets old. Again, its a chill place. Most of the servers are good, though. Youll love the vibe if you just want to chill and just get out of the house. If you want to let your hair down and turn up after having a long week of being in a conservative office, go to Legends. Its the complete opposite!!

If you have to send your workers in the bathroom to make sure 2 people are in the stalls together than we most definitely have a serious problem. Not knowing if someone needed help with anything or whatever the case must be. You take the money with no problem but you watch THE LGBTQ PEOPLE HARD FOR NO REASON! Next time have the respect as the manager and come out and say something. First time there and never will be back but this won t be the last time you hear from me.

First we have a group of 10 people. They the owner refused to put tables together, the AC was off which Is a old Las Vegas trick when its hot the more drinks you sell. They charge a 10.00 cover charge, a gratitude and service fee and tip which is ridiculous for a neighborhood place

I went to BH Lounge in Desoto. I ordered the hot wings with fries. The wings were heated in a microwave. I could tell because the wings were dry and very hard. I should have known better because the waiter came back with my order in 5 minutes. Never again will I eat there. I wasted $25. 98 on a meal that was so terrible.

Someone told this establishment that they were all that and a bag of chips. I m not new to the game, I m true to the game. This establishment has a long way to go in my honest opinion to achieve a rating above 2 Stars. Stop acting like you all that without a bag of chips. Honor and respect your customers. You are a Lounge (1 Star)!!!! Stop trying to act and operate like you are a Top of the Line establishment. Reserve signs on tables that have not been reserved. Force patrons that visit the establishment to sit in the back of the lounge or pay X amount of dollars for a table to be close to the stage. Most establishments that offer entertainment have a standard cover charge, but the entertainment is worthy of the charge. This also includes the food and service. And your establishment has the nerve to charge a service fee on top of all that. Just tell me to open my wallet or to give you my PIN number so you can cut to the chase. Really, a Black owned business. Support and respect are earned. My suggestion, try it, your business may increase and you may get more favorable reviews.

Went here with a friend to hear one of our favorite bands, sat down at a table, and was told we had to get up cause it was reserved. Mind you there was no reserve paper on that table. She told us someone must had taken the sign off the taken. After sitting there the against a wall all night, looking at all these reserve tables, with no people at them, we found the situation very stupid for an empty club. Now we ordered food, we got the wing platter, Cold Yall are cooking people for ahead of time, and not cool. Cold chicken was sent back, so we got the pork chops instead, dirty grease. For no one to be in the place, the food should have been on point at least. We have frequent this establishment before, to see the band. It had been awhile since weve been there. It has changed A LOT. I can truly say, it will be a long long time before we ever come back. The issues that we went through really should not of happened for an EMPTY ESTABLISHMENT

12/10/23....We were there for brunch for my sisters birthday. Service was standard but food was excellent! I had grilled salmon with collards and Mac and I also got the peach cobbler waffles with chicken to take home. No complaints at all on the food!! This was my 1st time but it wont be my last!!

My bf and I came in one Friday night after riding by. We decided to stop, the lady at the front door had an attitude. 2ndly, I ordered a fish sandwich and immediately sent it back for chicken wings and they were big, greasy, and bland . We had no where to sit and eat our food even though the place was empty. Lol I just laughed and was in utter shock. Yeah, so we left after that and will not be returning. UPDATE:::: My apologies it was a loaded/stuff potatoe. We walked in after 9ish it was a live band, however; there were plenty of empty seats and tables. Had my mothers birthday party here paid $300 for a table of 17 and still had to pay $10 cover fee! I understand its to guarantee seating, the place was far from full, also, I assumed the $300 for 17 seats is not guaranteed. There was a discrepancy with one of my invites, when they asked for the manager they were told the manager will not speak with them because he is not a people person! Really!? I didnt rate the food or drink because i didnt buy anything, this place was not getting another nickel from me! This wouldnt make sense to anyone. Will never see me again!

My experience was small and very less than pleasant. I truly believe they have cameras in the bathroom. I did take shots in the bathroom which is against the rules but the host said they saw me taking shots. The assistant manager and the main manager both agreed that they saw me but kept denying it was cameras in the bathroom. I only took shots in the bathroom I felt very uncomfortable and was escorted out after they threw half the stuff in my purse away even though the security checked my bag TWICE. 0/10 would never recommend to anyone especially loved ones having a birthday party. Please be careful when going to this place it s no telling what they have going on with cameras in the bathroom. And I will be reaching out to authorities because again that just is not ok. Being deceitful and stalking your customers can t possibly be the way you all train your staff. That s clearly not good business. It wasn t my grandmother either I never said that. Also for you to respond with something so ignorant says a lot about this establishment. I now see that y all are losing lots of money but trying to make it back my stealing from the customers. Not once while in the establishment did I say I had any drinks but y all said several times y all saw me taking them. Again lying should not be the first policy towards your customers, but coming back with a false scenario of what happened is even worse. You talk about training but clearly both you (whoever so sloppily responded) and the entire staff need to reevaluate your establishment.

We came here Friday to celebrate a friend birthday. The lady at the door was very rude and unprofessional. One of my friends pull out money to pay and she but short $1. The rude lady (Im being nice) said we dont take coins. She also yelled, do yall have reservations? WTH? I didnt know you needed reservations for a lounge. Ive been here before and never experienced this. One thing about customer service is it can make or break your business. I will never go somewhere and get treated rude. Needless to say we left. Went for my friends birthday last night. She had a section. When I got there some people had already placed food orders and it was being brought out. The server of the section came and went several times and NEVER addressed me. I mean she did not say one word to me all night! She addressed everyone in the section BUT ME!! Literally came to the table I was sitting at, spoke to the guy sitting next to me SEVERAL times but never said a word to me. He had to order my water just so I could have something to drink and she didnt even give it to me she handed it right to him. I have never in my life been treated so rudely at an established. Its not my job to come to the service, its their job to come to me. I was planning on spending a lot of money in there but after last night I will NEVER return! Then to add insult to injury the manager rudely approached me about a cover charge that should have been handled before I was seated. I came in tonight. It was a $10 each cover charge even though I brought a table for me and my friends for $50. When we got to the table I ordered a chopped beef sandwich -$9 and Hurricane drink- $9. The chopped beef sandwich was terrible (but I ate it anyway) and the Frozen Hurricane was horrible and tasted like medicine. When I told our waitress she apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I ordered a new drink. She then can back and told me the owner wouldn t comp my drink. I literally only took 2 sips. I then asked for my bill to pay. I don t want to spend another dime in this place. It s really sad that the owner is so cheap and money hungry that they couldn t even comp a $9 drink. The place wasn t crowded at all for a Friday night. We were going to order more drinks as well but just decided not to. It s really just the principle at this point. Very disappointing. My friends also said they didn t like their food as well. Once I figure out how to add videos and pictures to this view I will.

Called several times to make a reservation couldn t get thru, the website directs you to an unsecured site. Upon arriving for a party of they wanted us to pay $150 for a booth , additional $10 per person entrance fee ($210) just to enter and that didn t any drinks or food!!!! Just because you had a live band so the customer are covering the full cost of band. Too expensive for a small lounge!!Vinetti s is more upscale then BH lounge and doesn t charge this much for a booth and entertainment.. Very disappointing!!!!

This was my first visit to BH Lounge on Saturday night. It had a nice atmosphere. Good food. The live band was a hit. I purchased a table in advance, and Im glad I did. They played all genres of music. I enjoyed it. I will return. UPDATE: Second time here. The Cover band is the best so far. I didnt like my waitress too much. She seem like she didnt want to work today. I paid $20 including tip for a Watermelon Paloma which was Well tequila . If Im gonna pay $20 for a drink it should at least taste good. The food was decent. Overall I would come back.

Great, all-around adult environment! Great decorum! Great live bands and DJ! Great Soul Comfort Foods and Drinks! $25 - $50 to reserve a table, plus $10 Cover Charge is a deal killer for most guests and potential guests. Should consider opening more days throughout the week rather than trying to make up the loss of income on Thursdays - Sundays. We need more restaurants and lounges around for years to come! Our food was so great we were fork and knife deep before realizing we didn t take any pics. We tried the fried catfish, traditional chicken and waffles, peach cobbler chicken and waffles, a variety of their plethora of side options. Everything was enjoyed!! Not over seasoned but also no additional seasoning needed. The drinks was definitely DRANKS!! We all tried the mimosas and the 36-24-36 THAT S A GROWN DRANK!! This place is a great place for the 40 and up crowd. Theres a good vibe here; everybody just want to have a good time. The DJ last Saturday did not or could not keep the people on the dance floor because the mixing did not flow. Also table service was sporadic. Our server was slow to get to our table. My Lady and I went to Brunch on this past Sunday. We arrived at 2:30pm. We didnt know they closed at 4pm. Service was ok but it took almost an hour for food to come out. Waitress was very friendly and nice but really was the only waitress to every table. Maybe 3 to 4 tables at the time occupied. So we she had her hands full. They were short handed. The disappointing thing was all the sides were cold...not warm at all...So we told another staff member and they took back and warmed up. STILL WASNt HOT. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS WARM ON MY PLATE WAS THE KATFISH. I guess we just caught them at bad time. We pretty much took our food to go. BUT I WILL GO BACK...FISH WAS GOOD. Terrible Customer Service!! Very Unprofessional!! These people need to take a class regarding Profession and how to approach Customers! The only Professional person was the Security, a guy by the name of Spud. The ladies at the door were very RUDE!! The Owners Brother is VERY Unprofessional as WELL!!! I have frequented this establishment often. Great Food! Great Service. On Sunday a group of professional women met for brunch. Our waiter was young and very pleasant. You know we want what we want and he served us with a smile. He certainly showed more patience than any teenager I know and Ive been dealing with teenage boys and girls for more than 3 decades. I had the southern fried chicken wings, catfish, waffles and homestyle potatoes. All tasted amazing. I definitely recommend you visiting Desoto BH.. We returned that same evening to listen to the live band. The owner was friendly and greeted us with a smile.

I went to the Brick House Lounge on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. We had a large party of 15-20 women and there was only one server (his son) servicing all of us. I requested help from a couple of his co-workers and they stated that the son wanted to do it all by himself. Mind you there is an 18% gratuity attached. Its my educated guess he wanted to keep all the tips. However, the owner saw him struggling and did not assist at all nor, did he greet our party. The owner was not friendly at ALL!!! The food was insipid and cold! I will not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Love the vibe here & loved our server, Natalie! Although I enjoyed the spinach dip the entrees were just ok. We got a variety of things and the best entree was the catfish so going fwd Ill just stick to that. Had a blast though!! Its best to pre-reserve your seat which reserves your seat for thee entire night otherwise you get in where you fit in. Cover charge after 8p is $10 (regardless if you reserved a seat or not) & you will be security checked which I love! This particular night we went to see Soulful Soundz Party Band, but get there a little early to participate in the line dance tutorials. That was so much fun & I learned several new line dances.

My friend and I dropped by BH Sunday for swing dance lesson. We decided to order food. We both ordered catfish, collard greens, cornbread and I got mashed potatoes. My friend ordered Mac and cheese. If I could give less stars I would I arrive at 12:50 for a birthday party and it is now 2:30 to now just being told by a wfaaiter there is a delay in the kitchen. First when I received my drink of orange juice it was brown, then I asked for another on which came out orange. I understand as a black owned business that things can run slow they only have 3 waiters serving a party of over 45 people and we are still waiting it should not take almost 2 hours to receive one waffle bacon and eggs I will not return and if they say its not true we are sitting inside the restaurant as I type this review. They should of had more staff, more chefs, more help and we are still waiting

On September 3rd the night before bringing in my birthday, My family and friends visit this place but I liked about it is at the bouncers in the staff are very kind. It was very clean. Me and organized and the band was awesome. I do recommend I do want to give my condolence because they had a gentle giant that worked here who lost his life senselessly prayers to his family. You may think this place is hood but actually it isnt. It has a certain class to it, but it also has fun food and you can tell that the staff members are like family. So if youre visiting and you cant find a place to party, I recommend you stop through and party here. I brought my birthday in awesomely

I was the sound engineer for Drea Randle Entertainment Band. I ordered a Caesar Salad and they gave me lettuce, croutons, shredded cheese. I thought a Caesar Salad comes with more. I asked for the House Salad and it was much better. The waitress and manager was highly concerned and did not give any attitude with switching the order. Its really a nice establishment with good vibes. The salad was real good. Drea Randle Entertainment Band will be there this coming Sunday, August 21st @ 9pm.

I am biased, but this visit was one where I really enjoyed myself a little more than previously. Let me clarify, Ive never had a bad experience here! The band had a very nice selection of mellow R&B and BHR&L DeSoto has THE best DJ this side of Mississippi; DJ Romeo. We had a slight misunderstanding with some new staff that was resolved very quickly and easily. Everyone from Mister at the door, Mark our server, and the manager (I didnt catch his name unfortunately) were very professional, polite, and helpful. I cant commend them enough for their great customer service. We had everyone smiling and laughing by the time we were leaving. This was the best decision I made today. I look forward to returning one day soon. Oh and for those wondering, there was plenty of available seating, the restrooms looked & smelled nice and presentable, & the doorman made sure to invite us to return as we left. I would have given them a 4, but the service was so stellar anything less than 5 stars would be uncivilized. Keep up the great job Brickhouse Restaurant & Lounge DeSoto! Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian friendly menu separate from the regular menu. Parking: Parking is plentiful. There was a decent crowd and we arrived at happy hour on a Sunday. The waitress had us waiting forever to get our food which wasnt that good. I will never go back to this location to eat again. I asked for lemon water and she asked me did I want add water to my lemonade? . When we got ready to pay she handed us a paper receipt and asked were we paying cash or credit instead of putting the receipt in the black receipt holder. Now she handed a receipt book to the Hispanic couple that was eating lunch and this is an urban restaurant! As stated above, I will never go back to this location again.

I hate this place so much. First I want to leave an unbiased review. The waffle is Ok. The parmesean potatoes are frozen and stale. The spinach is watery with no flavor NONE. THE grilled tilapia is absolutely horrific its burnt with no seasoning not even salt or pepper. Its JUST FISH. The waffle and chicken and hamburger was Ok and FREEZING COLD. We waiter almost one hour for our order. They CHARGE three dollars for premium sides and DID NOT tell us this until after we asked MULTIPLE TIMES WHY WE HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL 13 DOLLARS. We even asked for an itemized reciept which THEY REFUSED. Go Figure. THEN THE PREMIUM SIDES ARE FROZEN NASTY FOOD. Finally after waiting for an hour and being scammed out of 13 dollars we ask for additional syrup with the waffle meal and they said it would be .50 cents. I will never go here again since the customer serivice and food was way below subpar. THEIR BAR IS IN HELL. Update. They fixed the original transaction. I am still frustrated that I had to write a review to get any type of customer service from this restaurant. As mentioned earlier I tried multiple times to resolve the issue on that same day to no avail. The fact that I spent 80 plus dollars and could not even get extra syrup without paying an extra 50 cent to go with the first tiny container that was half full just does not sit right in my soul. I am happy we resolved the issue but sad that it took SO MUCH. I will not be returning.
