I would never go back I am from Philly born and raised and when the cheese steaks came out to us I was like gzzz where the meat it was more bread. We throw them out after taking a couple bites and left. And the fries looked like they were cooked hours before head.

I don t know if you see these reviews or not , but I walked into your DeSoto location at 8:45p in A Saturday prepared to order 5 Sandwiches, when I was asked by a young lady are you here for a pickup? . Big Tony s was exactly what a little sandwich shop in a strip mall should be. A helpful teenager at the counter took our order. We had a Philly with beef,onions and cheese and another with beef, shrimp and cheese. They used shaved beef that they cook on site and it s so good! Prices were in line with every other place we went, about $15/person. Dietary restrictions: I avoid gluten so I asked them to put mine in a boat. It looked like they gave me extra beef :)

First time eating and I was not impressed. I ordered a bananas pepper Philly cheesesteak, asked for extra topping, didn t get. All I mostly tasted was bread. The fries were cold soggy and tasteless. Today I ordered two philly cheese steak and made one a meal both sandwiches were regular size ,I paid about $25. (The size of a hot dog) with below average fries and a small drink! I understand prices are up now, but you have to deliver the product service and atmosphere. So I just left this location and they have my attention and business when I need a tasty and filling bite for lunch or early dinner. I am a Pennsylvania native way of Florida and have been looking for some decent food choices since moving to Texas and it seems the DeSoto, Lancaster, Glen Heights and Red Oak areas are hurting in the service and taste departments. But this place here, is doing it right. The food came out fresh and ready to eat. The fries were decent and the flavor had me thinking about the combinations of flavors. Please stay this way. *11/15/23 After 3 more visits I finally got the frequent buyer card and my 1st stamp, everything still stands and I have tried other items with no complaints. No pictures this time the evidence didnt last long.

I typically get DoorDash orders from here so I had to come try out the food, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! They have an amazing selection of food, and even a build your own cheesesteak. We have been searching for a new Philly cheesesteak spot for awhile now and sorry this one is not it. The staff was great, very helpful, upbeat. The decor and just inside overall could use some updating. Not sure what factors came into play this night in particular but the philly s we got were dry, no seasoning, no cheese (which the ones we selected had cheese according to the menu). This was our second attempt to try this restaurant as our first attempt was on Halloween and right when we got there the restaurant had just closed which would have been nice to know as I did call before heading over to ask if the restaurant had chicken and the young lady who answered the phone could have kindly advised that the restaurant would be closing early this particular evening.

The cheesesteak was even warm with a small bit of an odd odor. What kills me is that this place could be great. But yet again i have not gotten what I ordered. It was a simple order and yet Im still missing a good portion of it. No sauce, no funnel cake fries that I ordered (despite specifically notating it on the order), and no straws for the drinks. This is nearly identical to the mess up from my last order. I guess I was the fool to give them yet another chance. And ordering in person is no better. I waited 20 minutes when i went up there. Enduring the kids they have running the place, laughing and screaming in the back while they slowly made my order. Sad part is that the food (if you get it done right) is amazing, but the service is exceptionally bad and you will always get ripped off due to the abundant mistakes. And dont think i didnt notice the shrinkflation on the drinks and fries...I did.

I ve been a loyal customer since 2008 before it changed to Big Tony s. I stayed loyal after it became Big Tony s as well. This last year (2023) the product they serve has been inconsistent. The cheesesteaks change between thinly sliced onion and big chunks that don t cook down as intended. The fries are undersalted and bland. They keep changing the wings as well. This used to be the best place in the dfw to grab a cheesesteak but they ve gotten complacent.

This establishment currently is under new management. Ive been going to Big Tonys for almost a decade now. Not sure if the new management will keep the same practices. Food tastes the same (absolutely mouthwatering), lady taking the order was kind as usual, and the atmosphere is still that same ol hole in the wall feel. They serve spicy mozzarella sticks and they re delicious! I loved the Philly cheesesteak, it was very flavorful and the amount of crunch on the bell peppers was perfect. Listen up yall, I got the scoop on this cheesesteak joint in Desoto. Big Tonys West Philly Cheesesteaks is the real deal, no doubt about it. I hit it up with some homies a while back and we were all blown away by the flavor. First off, the bread was fresh and soft, and it held up to all the fixings. The steak was cooked to perfection, nice and juicy with plenty of flavor. And lets talk about those toppings - the cheese was melted to perfection and the grilled onions added just the right amount of sweetness. I got the classic cheesesteak with American cheese, and it was da bomb. The flavor was spot-on and the portions were generous. My homies got the Philly cheesesteak with Provolone and they were just as hyped. Overall, Big Tonys West Philly Cheesesteaks is a must-visit for any cheesesteak lover in the Dallas area. This is our go to place for a cheesesteak in the area. Good portions and tastes great. Staff is always friendly. Would definitely recommend. After years of being a customer, they let me down. They have always had issues with answering the phone, so I just went over to place my order in person on Monday at 5:30PM, but lo and behold. Lights off, doors locked, nobody home. This place forgets about customers. While I was there, I waited almost an hour for my order and saw another customer get agitated at how long they were waiting for 2 sandwiches. Sad to say this place has gone down hill . Before covid it was easily 5 star for food quality and service. I went there for the 1st time in months and the food quality wasnt the same. The girl at the front counter didnt greet me and told me I could get my own cup for the combo I ordered, she was only concerned with getting back to her cell phone. There was a lady manager that was there in the past that mentioned she was thinking about finding another job, if she left they really miss her service and quality was exceptional when she was there. I cant remember her name but her son also worked there, hire her back and give her a raise if shes no longer there shes really missed.

My first time here and the Pastrami sandwich sucked it had sooo much salt in it I couldnt even finish my sandwich. I had high hopes for this place. Wish I couldve received a replacement or discount something after I mentioned to the manager that my sandwich was really salty and he even got onto his workers about it after I told him SMH. And our order was also pushed back from the lady who was behind us in line. She got her order first, dont think we didnt see that. Not cool. Waited 25 minutes for our order.

First of all dont go doing lunch time it was super busy. We waited 45 minutes for our food to go but the 2 sets of white people got they food before us. Then when I got my food it was something in there. It look like it came from the meat packaging..I wont never go back..my sandwich just had meat and cheese. We ask for onion and jalapeños and they charge us for cajun fries..we didnt get them. My experience was horrible.

I ordered 3-footlong Philly cheese stakes with extra meat with all of the toppings and two orders of fries. Only 1 footlong had extra meat and the other two were regular. They only gave me 1-order of fries. The fries that I did receive were extremely cold. Ticket number is #40300822 which totaled 48.02 dollars. This is not the first time they have messed up my order. I used to really enjoy their food but it seems like they have lowered their standards on food qualutt and service. When I tried to call and express my concerns it went straight to voice-mail. The southwest philly cheesecake (#19) was good. The chicken, steak and shrimp were seasoned very well. I enjoyed the different sauces that they had on the table as well. The staff were also very professional. I would most definitely recommend this place to my coworkers.

I have eaten there before and it was good. But last week we happened to be the last customers of the night and our food was garbage. We purchased burgers and fries. The bread was chewy. The meat was either rewarded on the girl and it was dark from the girl not being cleaned, the fries were cooked crispy like they had been refired and lastly the vegetables seemed as if it was the left overs of what was going in the trash at closing. $27 gone down the drain, we were so disappointed not sure if or when I will go back and if I do it definitely want be 40 mins to closing.

Theyre so good, I never make time to take pics of it. Im always super excited for my Philly when I get home, I go crazy I always order the #10 chicken Philly, add onions/bellpeppers, and extra cheese. I m not going to rate the business poorly because the food is always good, but I am taking off 1 star. The hours of operation should be consistent across the board. If you re closed on Mondays, be sure to update other platforms. There s no reason why google and delivery services say you re open, when you re actually not. Keep your customers in mind and know that small things such as this, can be a major inconvenience to some.
