$12 and 30 minutes for a bowl of dollar ramen and a side of mushy sushi. When asked about the noodles, all I was told was that it came from a factory. But surely, no one would charge $12 for dollar ramen, I was wrong. No condolences on the disappointment of the order, faced with a moody and rude customer service. As for surroundings, bad smells throughout the restaurant. It may be a sushi restaurant but there are good fish smells and bad ones, here I smelt bad ones. This place was a complete waste of money.

I personally love going here the food is always amazing. I love the poke bowl and the sushi bento. However I do not care for dining in here. There is this pungent unpleasant smell in the dining room and it does not make me want to stay there long. I feel that needs to be addressed.

I just want to say this place has the best quality fish. Im so sad to go back home because we dont have this high quality fish. I got mean green poke bowl and tried sake! Miranda is a super awesome waitress. Thank all of yall for the wonderful experience the food is absolutely delicious. Awful to go experience, customer service and food not prepared per menu descriptions, including allergy risks. I am allergic to eggs and therefore can t have mayo, they don t tell you on their menu that they put mayo and eel sauce on every sushi roll standard but it s not on the menu, if I didn t notice the tint of white under the eel sauce and ask I would have left that place in an ambulance. How unsafe and negligible is that? Who the heck puts sauces on a rainbow roll anyway?? When I spoke to the staff, they basically acted like they didn t care and to take it up with the boss but he isn t in right now. I don t make the menu The staff member also wouldn t give me their real name, but after the third request told me their name was Jeff i am now contacting health services out of concern for other peoples allergies.

I am aware of the risks of eating at a sushi place with a shellfish allergy but never in my life have I had an experience like this. I asked the server if my dish could be made without shellfish. The server says yes. My dish comes with shrimp on my plate. The servers tells me sorry, that he forgot to request no shellfish and that I could just take it off my plate HUH? The restaurant also smelled faintly of sewage and I can t tell you why I didn t just turn around and walk out then. I eat a lot of sushi, but never have I had such a bizarrely terrible experience before.

I ve loved this place for 6 years now, and spend about $1000 a year on food here. I only eat here, pepitas and vietbites. Occasionally getting a drink and riprocks and now I ve been punished for being a loyal customer. The food is great but allowing your contracted agent to bully patrons isn t. I m very disappointed in the owners failure to rectify towing malpractices. According to on the road again, the owner allows a predatory towing company to have an agent sit in the parking lot and prey on customers. You re not allowed to walk anywhere that s not In one of the stores, doesn t matter whether or not you were a patron. The towing company freely assumes who s a customer and who s not and never checks with businesses before towing.

Great little sushi place just outside of Denton Square, near UNTs North campus. The service was super friendly, and drinks were well mixed. Sushi orders came out incredibly fast, and were amazingly fresh. 10/10 will be dining here again, and bringing all of my friends here too. Parking: Park in the back, around the building, if you cant find a street side spot. Otherwise, there is a garage thats free, if you dont plan to stay long. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide sidewalks, and table height is good.

Im happy to rate this establishment 5-stars. Though the first time we dined-in, they forgot my fiances sushi roll in the oven, the food still tasted great as I had the beef teriyaki, but the lapse in customer service was upsetting. We then revently ate there again, this time togo, and the food was prepared within 15 minutes, and tatsed amazing! Would highly recommend this restaraunt as we assume the first situation was a farce.

Food is fine, but not enough to be worth paying, tipping, then have your server chase down your group of friends to tell one of them that next time before they come back they should consider their hygene because the whole kitchen was talking about it. Food is good and not too pricy. The service was terrible. Our server found it appropriate to chase us out of the restaurant after we had already left. He then proceeded to tell my friend that before coming back next time that he should work on his hygiene and that the whole kitchen was talking about it . I don t care what the staff s personal opinion is, this is not ok behavior for someone who doesn t know my friend or their circumstances. Nothing was correct other than the quantity. 2 shrimp sushi and 2 shrimp sashimi were delivered. Under the sea roll and 2 unagi sushi was my order. I contacted them to learn they had no way to make it right except for me to go there to p/u replacement. If I had wanted to drive there, I wouldn t have placed an order via DoorDash. I had the Crunch Roll and was satisfied. My wife met me late, after my roll had arrived and I still enjoyed it, even after waiting for her to receive her bulgogi beef bowl, which she returned for being dressed with Spicy Mayo, which she detests. I for one love spicy mayo and I love this restaurant. Five stars. One for the roll, two for my wife ordering in late in the same restaurant, one for my wife being able to return her bowl without incident, one for the excellent service. Five stars

Excellent food and service! My partner and I placed an order for a California roll and a lunch bento through UberEats and the food was ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately Ubers version of the menu didnt specify that the California roll came with mayo (I blame Uber for this), but when we called the restaurant they offered to remake it for us. The manager and hostess were very kind and our order was remade quickly. Once we had the kinks worked out the food was excellent. I will be happily returning to this location again.

Me and my fiancé went here for dinner and from the time we sat down to the time our miso soup appetizer came out, we had waited a full hour. The place was mostly empty except for Uber Eats drivers picking up to-go orders. The tuna sashimi we ordered had an off taste to it and the salmon sashimi was completely inedible because it was still partially frozen. The portion was also meager and us leaving most of it on the plate did not alert anyone that something was wrong. When I brought my concerns about the salmon to the attention of the waiter and sushi chef, I overheard the chef tell him that we didn t know what we were talking about . The waiter then came to the table and told us that the fish had just been defrosting and that we can keep the plate and wait for it to thaw out. As if it were not a big deal. When I said we were done with it, he asked if we wanted a rebate. The way he said it was very dismissive but I said no anyways and just paid for both sashimis and tipped 20%. I am never going to this place ever again and I suggest you do the same.

The sushi was pretty decent but the ramen so obviously instant ramen that it totally eclipsed any goodness brought about by the sushi. If You come here and only get sushi, that d be okay. Otherwise go to Kurume if you want real ramen.

New management is wonderful. 10 Dollars Sushi Bento box in the lunch menu, cant beat that. Also, the quality of the food has improved massively compared to the previous management. Highly recommended.

The service here was absolutely top notch and the decorations are really nice. The food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The portions are small for the price, and there was something strange about the rice. It was mushy, like it had been overcooked. The fish was decent quality, but it wasnt GOOD quality. It was better in the sushi than in the rolls or handrolls (which there was lettuce in, for some reason. Ive never seen that before...), but the fish in the rolls felt slimy, like it might have been starting to turn. The options are also incredibly limited. Its great if you like tuna, salmon, avocado, and crab, but if you expect many more options, look elsewhere. The only thing I had no complaints about, quality-wise, was the ice cream. Overall, not a the worst restaurant, but Im not going to come here again until they shape up.

If you like sushi, please go to another restaurant. Nice, prompt service, but the sushi is the worst I ve ever had. Not fresh, not authentic, and they are very stingy with their wasabi paste from a tube. And the prices are still comparable to the good places.

The place is a magical slice of Denton which everyone needs to stop by. It used to occupy a building next to Voertmanns, but now they are in a very clean new building next to the corner store off Fry. Their sushi chef creates some wonderful samplings that I can compare in quality to any visit at much more extravagant restaurants, and you walk out having spent $28 as opposed to $55 at other places. Ill stop here, but I cant say enough good things about Sushi Café
