Eat here all the time, love it so much. The vibe and the food and especially the workers are all so fantastic. It s the kind of environment I d want to work in. Kid-friendliness: The workers will give the kids paper hats with their kids meal! There also all super nice and friendly.

A+ for Decor and Service. The Food was so salty though, I know my Blood Pressure skyrocketed after the meal. Kitchen staff really needs to lay off the Sodium. The fries were inedible as Salty as they were. The rest of the meal, was overpriced for the quality of the food, probably because of how salty everything was. The bread was good on the sandwich, but the rest of the meal was so so. Wanted to like this place, but sadly we wont be back.

A lot of money spent on design of the restaurant, none in the actual product. None of the food here was worth coming back for. Everything tasted cheap and processed, and was over priced. If you want to help them pay for the building design and not enjoy a meal, head on over.

A half d read due to the time of day and it was empty. We took a chance and came away totally satisfied and well fed! I had the Italian Beef Combo with fries and a Root Beer. Sorry, no pictures of the fare; I got so involved in the eating that it was gone when I thought of it! My son and I split a sausage sandwich and a very authentic Chicago Dog; again more than satisfying! Locals, support this place, I would love to see it take root and still be here next time I pass through!

Wanted to take a moment and send a kudos out to tonight s host, Taylor at this location. She was extremely patient while I was ordering. She was on par with highest quality of customer service one could expect. She was polite, professional, and friendly. As if that wasn t enough, she saw my toddler playing with the plush stuffed animal for sale, I told her to put it back in the shelf. Taylor took the opportunity later to purchase TWO of the animals, and give one to each of my children. These measures of customer service go above and beyond the standard expectations, and I am certain this is something that the Portillos brand is proud to have represented from the top down. Great job to Taylor and the rest of the Denton, TX team!

The service was very nice, the employees are always kind. The store always appears clean and taken care of. However the pricing is a little silly, theyre charging top dollar for hotdogs you can basically get at 7/11 for much cheaper, the only difference is at 7/11 you put the toppings on yourself. It tastes like its literally the exact same product, I have a sneaking suspicion they buy the exact same hotdogs that 7/11 uses. Either way its overpriced.

Please, Please, take note... I ordered a chili cheese dog to dine in. They wrapped my chili cheese dog in paper wrapper. The chili and cheese was stuck to the paper and barely any to the hotdog and bun. Very disappointing!!! Please revise the chili cheesedog to a paper boat! Seriously! I didnt even get to eat it. It was such a mess! 5.19 plus tax in the trash. I talked to a manager and he agreed with me about wrapping the chili cheese dog. Told me to take a survey on my receipt but it was covered with grease from chili dog and thrown away.

Ordered 3 value meals and she argued about us getting 3 drinks. She rung the order up wrong and argued with us when we tried to fix it. Then when they order was prepped wrong they got mad and aruged about it not beint rung up the way we tried to correct it. The tea had a really weird taste so we all had to dumpe the out for cokes. Food was subpar. Half of the empty booths were dirty. There is no reason to eat here.

Overall, the food was overpriced, the quality was below average, and, we waited over 20 mins for our order when nobody was in front of us, at noon. Dont think I will be back sorry to say.

My husband and I went for a late lunch today. It was our first visit. I was surprised at how spacious it was. Nicely decorated with good music and friendly, efficient staff! Im glad the person who took our order asked me if I wanted peppers on my Italian Beef because I just expected them based on the pic on the menu. Small upcharge, but worth it! I got the gravy (jus) on the side because I didnt know what to expect, and it was the right decision for me because I only ate about 2/3 of it and the rest heated up great in the oven later. They will dip the whole sandwich if thats what you want, and the bread is crispy on the outside and somehow strong enough to hold up under all that beef and jus while still being soft on the inside. Flavor was great! The giardinera included celery and crinkly carrots; nice and tangy and spicy! My husband got 2 chicago dogs and fries with cheese sauce, all also very good. The toppings for the dogs were very fresh and just the right size to all work together within the poppyseed bun without overwhelming the frank. If given a choice between crinkle or straight fries, I would have chosen the latter, but I would have missed out. Overall, we were very pleased! Service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. It came to about $30 with drinks and we had more than enough food. Looking forward to trying the polish sausage and onion rings! Got a burger that looks to be real meat. The only issue I ordered a double cheeseburger, got no cheese, requested no mayo, and didnt get any but they put so much ketchup and mustard on it that it was such a mess I could not eat it. It was dripping everywhere. Was going to take a pic but my hands were covered. So cant say if it was good or not because I didnt eat it. The restaurant is clean, the workers have a great attitude, and no one is just standing around doing nothing. The restroom was very clean (had to wash all the mustard and ketchup off). Gave 3 stars because I didnt get to eat the burger, fries seemed to be frozen crinkle cut. Nothing special but all I had to eat so I ate them with cheese sauce and would recommend it!! I will try again and be more specific.

Loved it! Had the fish sandwich and hubby had the chicken sandwich. Onion rings were great, fries were crinkled, and the little spicy sauce (not the cheese sauce) was delicious! I marked a 4 on the food because the fries were mostly soggy, and the drivethru smashed the large fry container in the bag and didnt fill it all the way, making it about a small. Good parking lot. Large eating area. 1st visit so I decided to try the #1 most liked. The fries were hot and crisp but nothing special. The sandwich was just meh. First time at a Portillo s. Had the 2 dogs, small fry, small drink and dined in. Hotdogs were prepared Chicago style. I enjoyed it. Fries were crinkle style, a bit too heavy on salt. Small drink enough for dining in as there are free refills on drinks. Finished off with a chocolate cake shake. Definitely an experience. If you re watching carb or sugar intake, this will definitely put you way over your target. But it was good and serves as a one time treat. Service was what you d expect from a quick food place. Those I encountered personally we friendly, courteous and smiling. Seating area was clean and there employees Mindi g the area to keep it clean. Noise level a bit loud for my taste due to how the interior is designed (no noise baffling) and ambient music. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of handicap parking stalls and ramps to sidewalk level.

Friendly and quick service. Felt welcomed, and the vibe in the restaurant is really nice. I tried the beef sandwich! I didnt know what to expect and was apprehensive of sogginess, and it did end up being pretty soggy despite eating it ASAP. Im definitely gonna give it another try ordering it dry as is shown on the menu because the beef and bread quality were amazing! the giardiniera was so yummy and i enjoyed how it tasted, lots of bites were just texturally displeasing bc of sog. Fries were lovely! If I wanted to give someone a gold standard of how fast food fries should be, Id show em portillos. I tried the chocolate cake shake as well. It may just be me but the texture was just kinda displeasing, it was also incredibly sweet but what can you expect from a chocolate cake milkshake? I usually love super chocolatey stuff but I wouldnt personally recommend the shake. I had the chicken fingers as well, they were pretty solid. Flavorful and cooked well. I honestly loved the atmosphere and think Ill be back to try some more stuff! now that ive been there ill feel more comfortable ordering next time. Go and try portillos, especially if youve never had it before!

So... Apparently this place has a cult following. We decided to give it a shot, knowing it was a hot dog place. The price isnt good either for the food I got . Overall it is ok so I rate it 3 stars. I would have given it a 4 or 5 if the food was better I do not mind self service too much but overall 3 stars.

My first time trying this place for once the drive thru wasn t packed so I tried a cheeseburger fries and shake side of cheese. I gave 4 stars because the shake was not good at all so basic straight out the machine . But the food was soooo good and amazing I m so mad at myself for not getting a large fry to go with the cheese sauce but the fries are soooo good alone . The burger taste like a perfectly grilled burger at home . The tomatoes were so perfect not too ripe nor over ripe, crisp green lettuce. I m so satisfied with my first experience cannot wait to come back next time I ll get a fountain drink .

I m from Chicago so I ve had Portillos a lot. This new location in Denton is excellent! My favorite is the charbroiled chicken sandwich with cheese fries, but I also love an Italian beef. I also tried a vanilla shake last time and they get it right! Super thick and amazing!

My husband went through the drive through last night at 7:43pm and ordered a fish sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger-both are so good. When he got home and I opened my bacon cheese burger container I was very disappointed to see there was no bacon. We checked our receipt and it clearly said BAC Cheeseburger 8.29. Stuff happens so I called at 8pm to let them know about the mistake. No one answered the phone. I tried again and still no answer so it seems this is the only vehicle to report what happened. While we love Portillos it is this kind of service that knocks a place way down our list to return to.

Food is great! We had the Chicago hot dog- polish sausage with grilled onions-& onion rings. Very flavorful! Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The only issue is don t really like the way you pick up your order- they call out your order- which you can t hear. It s posted on screen which you can t see unless you are right in front of it.

Food is better than what youd expect from most fast food restaurants although the menu selection is quite refreshing. A unique spin on a new theme for a fast food restaurant. Atmosphere is noise and gives you the feeling of being somewhat crowded. They would do a lot better if they removed a few tables and open it up abit. It seemed like I had to zig-zag my way through tables and other patrons just to pick up my food and get drinks. they werent that crowded and could have easily removed 10% of the tables with no consequences. By far the worst and most disrupting experience during our meal was the fact that they use an overhead intercom system to alert you that your food is ready. This alone is so disturbing and obnoxious that I probably wont eat there again. The ownership would be well-advised to eliminate this practice and use simple numbered flag system on the table and have employees come tell you when your food is ready or better yet just have someone bring it to you at your table. This would make a much more pleasant dining experience. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Great restaurant to take your kids and your grandkids. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair and ADA parking accessibility.

Since I live close to this location, Ive already been many times since it opened. I think its a great addition to the area, and delivers a good value. One very notable experience, is that we got there when it opened on a Saturday via drive through, and our rather simple order was taking 10+ minutes. Without any complaining a manager came out and made it right with some vouchers for our wait. Thats something thats only happened a handful of times in my life, and it speakers levels to the franchise and management and where their priorities are. For that and other reason, well continue to frequent this place. 9/10 times their burger has been amazing, their dogs are always the best, and their shakes are great. Keep your receipt, give them feedback, and get a fey large fry. Ive dont it like 10 times. It makes the meal much more affordable, and its enough fry for two.

Lauren was new to working the register, but had great enthusiasm and was truly friendly. Im not a fan of getting my stuff to go from a refrigerator while standing in line. I much prefer the way the Frisco store does it. I was worried about getting in and out since it is on a very busy part of town but it was extremely easy.

Disappointed with my salad. Flavorful, BUT the lettuce was old (brown throughout). I tossed it and left. My husband had a chili dog and crinkle fries. He said his was good. Beer was on the menu but no wine options were available. I won t be in a hurry to return anytime soon. If I happen to be in the area, I might give them another chance.

This place surprised me. It is huge inside, with plenty of registers to order and a much bigger menu than I expected. To my knowledge, there was not a good Chicago style fast food restaurant in the area so this really fills a gap. My wife and I each had Italian Beef sandwiches. They come regular, extra gravy and dipped in the gravy. I had mine Extra and my wife did dipped. They each met our expectations. Lots of choices for toppers as well to add flavor. We also had fries. Quite simply, these were great sandwiches. As with most places, it was too big for us in one setting, so they made mice lunches the next day. We will be returning soon because there are so many other things on the menu to try lots of hotdogs, sausage sandwiches, pastas and burgers. The day we went it was very busy, but our food still came quickly and they keep you updated on your order with a video screen showing progress of every order. Very much recommend this for good sandwiches and an alternative between hamburger fast food and the more fast casual restaurant.

This is one of those places where the food needs to be very fresh, so Id definitely never recommend it to anyone ordering delivery or take-out. The main problem is that certain sandwiches are served wet. I initially thought this meant that the meats were wet, but the meat on my sandwich was dry as a bone, while the bread was clearly what got dipped in sauce. By the time I got my order (even though the fries were still piping hot), eating the soggy bread felt like eating a sandwich someone had coughed phlegm all over. So yeah, not pleasant. Atop this, my delivery order came with no condiments, and was missing a shake. Getting the refund seen to was like playing a game of guess whos not responsible until sending an email to corporate got the job done. It was also quite off-putting to me that they describe the beef sandwiches as being best with hot peppers (as well as picturing them this way), then finding out theres an upcharge to have peppers. The fries were the best part, and tasted just like Braums fries. For both my money and contentment, Ill simply stick with Braums. If you have to try this place though, please make sure you ask for the sauce on the side.

My daughter is picky and lived the hot dogs! The bun has poppy seeds and it was her first experience with that bread. I had the hamburger. The meat was bigger than the bread (which is a good thing) but I have to say it was a bit greasy for me. That is why I gave it 4 stars. The place was very busy so you might have to wait for your food to be made.
