So I love this place and admit later in the morning it gets super busy, but the coffee has a wonderful taste to it and the food is cooked fresh. Even the pre packaged cookies are soft and delectable. Any chance I get I ll have a bag of their coffee beans in my kitchen for the weekends.

After the epic fail at Aura Coffee I was so glad to back to this establishment! I also realized this is my first time leaving a review ! Always great customer service displayed every time I come here. The coffee and food is of great quality and the food tastes like it is freshly prepared as well. I ordered a Lavender and Honey Latte w/oatmilk and BLT. I would have liked more bacon and bread toasted a bit more. Plenty of diverse seating small, medium, large, square. rectangle, and round large tables, big chair sofa. I also appreciate the self-serve water station. Covered seating oudoors. Great place to study and meet others.

Drinks are good, but really expensive. Ordered my drinks and went to sit down... apparently they were ready and they called my name but I didnt hear them. Instead of calling my name again when they noticed I hadnt picked them up, they did nothing. I went up front to see what was taking so long and they said oh, theyve been ready for a while...its just hard to hear in here when we call your name. Seriously? If you know its hard to hear and youre just standing around talking to your coworkers...maybe come bring me my drink or at least try calling my name again louder. So my expensive coffee drink was watered down and gross... awesome.

One of the better coffee spots in Denton that I have experienced. Great coffee and food. I highly recommend trying the breakfast tacos, and their chai latte is very good. I find atmosphere to be a bit dark, although the vintage style lighting is cool, and I love the plants and attention to local art. The feng shui is a bit awkward, with the space being so narrow. Its almost like a long hallway. However, it is nice that there is outdoor seating and some couches and spaces to visit with friends or clients. One of the biggest downsides for me is that their Wi-Fi is pretty slow. I work on my laptop, and often need to upload and download files. Unfortunately, its intolerably slow for me to really accomplish a lot of the work I need to do. The baristas have been very friendly every time Ive been here. Its worth checking out especially if you live nearby.

Love that West Oak is open until 9pm, it makes for a great place to study after dark that isn t on campus. Besides that, their coffee is phenomenal! I wish they had a few more flavor options, specifically sugar free options, but they have plenty of sugar free sweeteners available to accommodate. The baristas are knowledgeable and very helpful. West Oak is a staple on the square and I highly recommend it for studying, a quick coffee break, or a gathering place for friends.

My home away from home! The most delicious tea, coffee, and food. If you haven t had the home fries with a side of their basil aioli, your life isn t complete. I love getting know my regular baristas, Eden & Emma. I am working on learning everyone s name. They know me and my order, even though there are times I get confused for Shelly. Best breakfast Ive had in Denton. Got a half caffeinated almond milk cappuccino and it was also the best quality espresso drink Ive had in Denton. Atmosphere was calm vibe and warm lighting. West Oak is probably the best little coffee shop in town. I ve enjoyed coming here since they ve opened and over the years, I ve never had a negative experience. Walking in, I always feel welcomed. Every staff member is so kind here and takes the time to acknowledge you and your family and I feel like you re always greeted with a smile. Their coffee is incredibly delicious, no matter if you get a black cup of coffee or a sweet latte. And we truly enjoy breakfast here as well. While sometimes it makes me sad, I love their rotating food items. They always provide fresh ingredients, interesting pastries/goodies and it s the perfect place for a quick breakfast and some bold flavors. I just wish some of the rotating items were for forever because they re just too good! The atmosphere is always warm and inviting and it s easily become a weekly staple for my family to come here and enjoy our mornings.

Ordered the breakfast toast and very disappointed with how it turned out. Giving it a 2 star because main complaint is the bread. Its not toasted at all all Ive posted the photo to show that its just a limp slice or bread with avocado on top. Ive ordered this before and received it toasted so at the very least they could have told me that maybe the toaster isnt working if thats the case when I ordered the item.

I travel to Denton once a week for work and decided to take a break to get a coffee. I asked if they could make a latte with heavy cream, and they confirmed with a smile that it was possible and that it could be enjoyed there. However, I later realized I needed to switch it to a to-go cup since I had to leave. The latte was still being prepared, but when I asked the young lady if it would be a hassle to make the switch, her smile immediately turned into a frown, and she became short with me. I left a tip of one dollar, but Im not sure if it was too little. The coffee itself was decent, and the establishment had a trendy vibe, so if you appreciate that, youll likely be satisfied.

So pretentious. The people who work here have no idea how to be actual people. They treat their employees terribly. They just fired someone here because they do some dumb write up system that doesn t actually account for real mess ups. Basically if you look at someone who is a higher up funny, they get offended and write you up. There is a power dynamic that is extremely toxic and you can feel it in the dimly lit (falling apart, cause we know) space. The coffee is overpriced and mediocre at best. Food is ok. They re changing their coffee blend and so who knows how much it will suck. Terrible place to work and the atmosphere is full of people who are so snooty. Like just get a Keurig besties. Update: Just stay away from any Voltage coffee product establishment. They let their managers bully lower level employees. Not good people here man. :( New update: they have repeatedly deleted my comment on instagram calling them out for the unethical treatment of employees. Time to stand up to another corrupt corporate cog.

The first time I went to West Oak, I was a little confused on what I wanted to order. Jacob was very friendly and helped me land on the perfect drink- vanilla latte hot. He designed it with a heart, per my request, and I was instantly hooked. I ve been coming in every now and then since that day, and every single time I m met with a great atmosphere to match the coffee- especially when Jacob is there. I definitely recommend! The pancakes are also pretty good. Syrup is legit.

West Oak has some of the best coffee I ve ever had. Their spring time lavender latte is something I still think about well past the season. We went this week and enjoyed the blueberry latte. Great coffee shop, especially for someone who is starting a job in free lancing. My only complaint (and thus 4 star for service) is the provided WiFi doesnt have great bandwidth backing it up when compared to Jupiter House. Dont know if its their ISP screwing them over, poor infrastructure, or something else, but it would keep me from bouncing between the two when it gets busy and bogged down.

Very very disappointed. I used to come once a week and get their half turkey pesto and tomato bisque combo. Then I came one day last week and they don t have the combo anymore and only the full sandwich and full tomato bisque which is a lot more food and money that I wanted to spend for lunch but it was that good so I got it!! I come today and now they no longer sell the turkey pesto or tomato bisque and I m very disappointed that was the only reason why are used to come once a week.

I ordered one of their barista specials and it was $5 for a 12 oz cup which doesn t make sense and they filled it with ice so I barely got any of it, literally finished it in a few seconds. It s overpriced for small portions and it didn t say it was an iced drink either which threw me off. I was in Denton for a few weeks this month, visiting from Los Angeles, and someone suggested I check out West Oak Coffee Bar. What a special place it is! I would come here multiple times a week to study and enjoy a cappuccino, cortado, or the occasional latte. The drinks were wonderfully made, with good espresso and perfect foam on the milk (and great latte art). I tried other spots around Denton and while a few were good, they didn t compare to West Oak in terms of coffee in my opinion. While I only tried the breakfast toast and a couple of the cookies, they were excellent and I only wish I had time to try more food items. The ambiance is also superb, the warm glow of the incandescent lights on the wood and brick interior makes for an ideal coffee shop atmosphere in the Texas winter. If you re in Denton for any reason, treat yourself at West Oak Coffee Bar.

It was an amazing coffee shop. The staff is very kind. This restaurant is so popular that there is a line from the morning. There were a lot of people studying here, probably because it was close to the university. The clerk was friendly.

Stylish and with a good atmosphere. The staff is bright and pleasant. There are a lot of universities, but its spacious and has plenty of seats. The espresso is sour but not strong. The bitterness is just right, so you dont have to make it into a latte.

Probably the best coffee in Denton. Love that they have different (and sometimes unusual, but I like weird) new combinations and seasonal flavors regularly. I buy my espresso from here when I can bc the milk and honey is the BEST! The reason for one star off is as with anything on the square, parking is a nightmare. Love that they have beer too, although I have not had any here yet, but the option is nice.

I hope the owner can see this review. Please bring back avocado muffins. Its the best of the best. Im willing to drive from Dallas to get it. I do suggest yall value your avocado muffins more. I love this place especially avocado muffins.

super heavenly & down to earth cafe & literally a chill coffee bar!! the aesthetic is very much heavy coffee shop vibes: lots of brown, nicely dimmed lights, wooden tables, brick walls, happy plants a corner with a bit of coffee bar merch & cool artsy works throughout the place!! perfect place to study & just chill with your friends!! (there s even outside seating) i ordered a Pretty in Pink (Drip Coffee Topped w/ Strawberry Mascarpone) & an Everything Bagel Turnover . they were both super delish, warm & very toasty!! felt like a dream!! (they have lattes/coffee/tea/espresso & cozy pastries) story time: i was super blessed cause some random black guy sent from God paid for me & my friend!! and guess what he also payed for the people in line behind us!! over all: super happy & chill vibes kinda place.. worth your time & money!!

I love this place! I come here as often as I can. It s a great study location as well as a great place to visit with friends. Pictured is the blueberry muffin and blueberry latte with oat milk, both of which I highly recommend. The baristas are always very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Lois recommended the blueberry latte based on my coffee preferences, and it was spot on! Stop by and enjoy a coffee if you are in town, it is worth it.

We went there this morning and ordered a chocolate milk and a chai latte. The chocolate milk was ready quickly and the kids gulped it down. The chai latte, however, was never made. My husband waited 20 minutes before asking about it, and they said they would make it. He waited longer and finally we just LEFT because they kept making other people s drinks. Terrible service. We will not be going back.

West Oak is the epitome of a classic, rustic, and cozy coffee shop. Ive been coming here for the last 4 years since I went to UNT and Ive been a consistent customer. All of their seasonal speciality coffees especially the Cold Brew Cobbler and Pretty in Pink are phenomenal. I remember a few years ago they had a campfire inspired coffee with a roasted marshmallow on top and I was IN LOVE with that drink. This coffee shop doesnt use any overly sweet chemical-y syrups and use fresh flavors such as the strawberry marscapone and the cinnamon roll milk they make themselves from real cinnamon rolls. I cant get over the quality of this coffee shop is! So sad to be moving from Denton so bought one of their coffees to take home and use. The baristas are ALWAYS nice and they have a great reward system. Im going to miss this Denton staple but when Im in the area Im definitely going to stop by.

really amazing coffeeshop with equally amazing baristas! I came here to study and the baristas were super warm and welcoming to EVERYBODY! I immediately noticed how they remember the names of each customer and genuinely converse with everybody. The atmosphere is perfect to me, ambiance is on point, music is trendy and good as well. The coffee was really nice too! excited to keep trying out the rest of the menu here :)
