Disappointed .. Haven t been to Hannah s in a while .. but took my daughter to lunch at what was our favorite restaurant.. it was mediocre at best .. none of our favorite dishes were on the menu.. no chicken saltimbocca, no endive salad, no fried green tomatoes .. apparently there s a new chef .. the staff was pleasant .. the menu was boring .. the food was just ok .. we did enjoy the quail jalapeño poppers .. I hope they make an effort to improve on this, I was so disappointed.. and I ve always loved Hannah s .

We had the salmon/crab cake appetizer, blue jumbo shrimp and steamed halibut entree and flourless chocolate cake and carrot cake for dessert. The appetizer and entrees were excellent. Make sure you add the ice cream if you order the chocolate cake, it pairs well. The carrot cake was good but not on par with the rest of the meal. We were there for our anniversary and they placed rose petals on the table...nice touch! Nicholas, our server, was attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere, service and meal quality were in line with the prices. We will definitely return.

Felt like 2014 inside. But otherwise a great experience. Whatever you get, be sure it has the creamed cabbage so good if you (like me) love a little butter

We usually have a great time at Hannahs, but our recent visit was disappointing. We had made a reservation for Friday night to celebrate my daughter leaving for boot camp the next day. Unfortunately, the restaurant was hosting a wedding or some other event, and all other guests with reservations were relegated to the bar area. Instead of the usual dining experience we expected, we found ourselves crammed into a loud, crowded bar with barely any room to eat. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed, more focused on serving drinks to the larger party than attending to us. For the price we paid, this experience was far from worth it. Hannahs typically delivers a great evening, but this time, they completely missed the mark. Thanks for making your other patrons feel special.

This used to be our go-to place for special occasions, not anymore. My husband took me here for my birthday and it was quite disappointing. My meal was horrible! It literally had 2 cups of oil that my entree was swimming in. So much so that I poured it into a bowl and it filled the bowl. The waitress came by and said, I have never seen that before. She then took it to the manager, who came by the apologize and said she would take $2.00 yes two dollars off the meal. They have also removed some of their best dishes from the menu! I will not go here again and I wish I took a photo of the oil to post here too!

Fries were cool, but crunchy. Huge portion - served 5 people but said serves 2. I don t recommend the salmon board. The bread was too thickly sliced, caper grapes were too strong, wasabi honey mustard was delicious but overpowered all other flavors. They weren t complimentary flavors.

I ve been to Hannah s over the years but tonight was by far the best experience all around. Holly was a fantastic waitress. The new chef has made excellent changes to the menu. The summer burrata salad was fresh and flavorful. Gulf shrimp with mushroom risotto was delicious including a veggie I ve never had called a pattypan squash grown onsite. The new chef is mindful of sourcing locally as able and ethical sourcing of menu items. .

I came here for a late birthday celebration with some coworkers. The service was great, friendly, and accommodating. We were initially sitting under a vent that was making us cold, and they had no problem moving us. The atmosphere is good; you could go for a date or a sophisticated night with friends. My only dislike was that the drinks were better than the food. The food wasnt terrible, but for the price, I would expect more consistency. (This was an agreement from the majority of our table guests.) Our truffle fries were half soft and half hard and mealy. The steak was good, but my scallops were lukewarm. I assumed it was because they were cooked too soon and were waiting as we had a late party order, and perhaps they wanted all the food to come at the same time. However, it turns out they were undercooked. I had terrible food poisoning and threw up violently for 12+ hours and spent the following day on the floor. (This is very uncommon for me. Im known to have an hour stomach.) I didnt want to think it was the scallops, but it was the only thing I ate that was different from the rest of the party, and they had zero issues. I would be willing to return to the restaurant again, but I would probably just get drinks.

The food was amazing! We started with a decadent bacon wrapped date appetizer. Wow! I ordered the salmon for my main course. The salmon had a savory cream sauce that gave a nice balanced taste. My friend had risotto with blue shrimp. He seemed to thoroughly enjoy his meal. Said the risotto was prepared well and tasted really good! We shared a tasty bottle of an Oregon/ California Pinot Noir. The restaurant was a tiny bit warm but it has been over 100 degrees outside so that was to be expected. Plus, also as expected, Hannah s was busy at 7pm on a Thursday. The tables were a bit small but I forgot all about that when the appetizer came! I m so pleased to have found Hannah s (actually my friend found this place). I look forward to enjoying many more meals there. The server was highly experienced, professional, and very knowledgeable about the food Hannah s serves. They also offer an excellent sounding lunch menu. If you haven t been to Hannah s and you re on the fence, I highly recommend you give the place a try! You won t be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Sweet potato salad / meal which sounded really good.

I was very impressed. The food was outstanding. I had Hannah s Cobb salad w 2 sea scallops. Delicious! I also sampled the Brussels sprouts. Fantastic! I had the poached pear for dessert. Absolutely wonderful. It was a large party for a birthday. The birthday girl got a free creme brûlée. Not sure if that was the restaurant or our waiter Adam, who was phenomenal. In addition, I have a severe food allergy and they were able to accommodate without any concerns or mistakes. The only concern I had was the fact that parking is a little tricky due to all the construction on the roads nearby. However restaurant staff did everything possible to make that part easier as well. Overall it was a really great experience. Dietary restrictions: I have a severe food allergy and must vet menus and ingredients ahead of time. I reviewed the menu and knew I had many options. I communicated the allergy information to our waiter, Adam, who made sure that my food was handled w care. I rarely get to enjoy any dessert in restaurants as a result. I was delighted to find not just one but 2 options on the menu that I could enjoy. I chose the poached pear w a minor modification. Again that was handled flawlessly.

I went here with my husband and LOVED the staff, food and environment. The staff seated us quickly -even though we were technically early to our reservation. The room we were seated in was toward the back(there are 2 main seating areas from what we saw) had a dark wood/but still light and elegant charm. Our waiter- cant remember his name for the life of me, but he was super blond and SO great explaining the menu/specials. We started with the artichoke heart dip. That was WRITE HOMEABLE! I did have to remind them of a food allergy again when it was served, but that was quickly taken care of. My husband ordered the steak- it came with crispy edges- like a story book! SO good. I got the Prosciutto wrapped chicken. I only wish i was hungrier to have been able to eat more of it. I did wish id ordered like a steamed veggie to go with it- but that was my error not theirs. For dessert we ordered the Carrot cake and ate it back at our hotel room. The flavor and texture was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend Hannahs. Please my earlier recommendation as i got my restaurants mixed up Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies and they accommodated me without a blink of an eye Kid-friendliness: There were 2 children there when we were there Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs in this facility for the front house. the back area where we were seated had one step-but i thnk theres also a ramp on the back side of that area. Amazing drinks and solid service. Great place for an American steak dinner. Lamb rack was impressive! Steaks were quality and cooked perfectly. Wouldn t recommend either tuna dish. Neither were very good. They need to learn how to make a true Chimichurri sauce and the Bavette steak would be awesome. Will return here! Just remember to stick to the basics.

We just had Mother s Day brunch and it was excellent. We started with the bacon wrapped dates and pomme frites. The specials were an Oscar filet and salmon with scallops and shrimp. It was excellent. We had dinner here in April for the first time since before COVID and were looking forward to a delicious meal. We were not disappointed! We came for a celebration and celebrate us they did. We tried mainly the seasonal dishes starting with the steak tartare and spring buratta salad as appetizers and with rack of lamb and tile fish as our entrees, with a side of brussel sprouts and creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was fresh, delicious, timed perfectly to allow us to enjoy our food but not leave us waiting between courses. Half price glasses of wine also were a plus since we dined early! Server was wonderful, patient, knowledgeable, and attentive without being bothersome (I think his name was Aaron(?)) Overall, an excellent experience! We missed the fried green tomatoes, but plan to return soon as they are re-opening for lunch this month!

Everything is absolutely delicious! First of all, let me say the hand stuffed blue cheese olives in the martini are amazing. From the very unique Steak Tartare with bell pepper sauces, to the Rack Of Lamb and Braised Pork Belly entrees to the Espresso martini for dessert - you will not be disappointed! The restaurant is in a historic building that used to be a blacksmith. The casual fine dining experience is a gem in the heart of Denton, TX!

Did a lovely dinner with my sisters and surprised my niece with a birthday cake. The staff accommodated our cake, and made the dinner low-key amazing. Everything I ate was well done and beautifully prepared. I dug into the seasonal pork belly before I got a picture because it smelled too good. I m perplexed by the recent positive reviews for Hannah s. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the restaurant more than 17 years ago, and it s been a go-to. Now that we have young kids, we are more frequently take out customers so I can t comment on the atmosphere recently. For context, we have ordered Hannah s take out an average of once a month or every other month since the pandemic. Unfortunately, we have had some errors or omissions in recent takeout orders (including tonight, when we got the wrong salad with our meal) which is why I m giving one star for service. What really disappoints me is the changes in the menu and in food quality. It was a bummer when several old favorites were removed from the menu, but we heard they had a new chef. It makes sense that he would want to put his own stamp on the cuisine, and we have tried to be open to positive change. Sadly, the new items just aren t as appealing to us as the old menu. Tonight, turned off by several oddball options, I decided to order the Korean meatballs (an appetizer) and mashed potatoes for dinner. The meatballs had an okay flavor, but the meat was somehow fatty and dry at the same time. (The menu said it was tenderloin but I m not convinced.) I honestly prefer the Korean meatballs I ve made with HomeChef. Mashed potatoes were acceptable but bland. Pretzel rolls tasted like they came straight from the frozen food aisle and what kind of fine dining restaurant charges $2.50 per roll for such mediocre bread? Other disappointing meals recently include the beef tartare (meh), and revamped salmon sideboard (featuring slimy lox in place of what used to be a smoky salmon filet). I almost ordered the sesame crusted tuna tonight but alas, no more wasabi mashed potatoes. I m currently enjoying my last plate of truffle pomme frites for a while (they are as delicious as ever, thankfully) because this will be our last meal from Hannah s for the foreseeable future.

Welcoming and romantic atmosphere. Nicely designed menu with an excellent range of entrees and wine pairings. We tried the buttery tilefish and medium-rare rack of lamb both were delicious. Hanna s offered two of our favorite appetizers, bacon-wrapped dates and steak tartare. Both were wonderful. The tartare came with warm crusty bread and three delicious olive oil-based sauces. Between the appetizers and the entrees we split the Cobb salad which came with a delightful cured lemon vinaigrette. Small, but well-curated wine list with a wide price range. Something we don t see often enough.

My wife and I live in Euless. But, reason we came to Hannahs because I deliver wine and always wanted to see what the food and the service atmosphere was like. So we drove from Euless on Saturday 3/16/2024 in the morning around 10.30 and decided to eat off the brunch menu (French toast and Quinoa) and both very delicious and give you a lot for the money, also, had wonderful muffin that Tahila made aka Ms T. The service was awesome (Holly) and awesome atmosphere. Well worth driving from Euless highly highly recommend

We made a 7pm reservation at Hannahs to celebrate a recent event. After arriving, we waited 20 minutes to receive the drink menu because they didnt have any left. It took us over an hour to get our ordered beverages and almost two hours before receiving our food. We sat on the patio during our visit, as it was very busy inside. Our poor server was streched thin due to lack of employees.

Meh. Theres many better places for an anniversary if you want ambiance. Service was good. Ribeye was the worst Ive ever had. I ordered medium, it was rare. 50% of this cut was fat. I love ribeye fat! But this fat was literally textured and tasted like massive snot balls. I could not even! Then the actual meat has so many stringy tendons I struggled to cut it. Their flatware is horrible and needs replaced. I couldnt even get my fork to stab the meat ( and it was rare). It was a $70 steak!! The ribeye at Capital Grill is $74 and WAY BETTER. the river at Bobs Chop House in Grapevine is under $60 and much better. Ill likely never return to Hannahs. Sadly, this $70 steak is going to my dog! I tolerated half of it and lost my appetite with every bite. Go to Bobs Chophouse or Capital Grille if you want steak and a beautiful atmosphere.

In the three years since moving to Denton I have visited Hannah s several times but lately they have truly been top tier!! Atmosphere is casual but still upscale. I never feel overdressed or underdressed here. I think it s cozy without feeling cluttered, and upscale without feeling pretentious. This is the only place in Denton that I can order my favorite cocktail (lychee martini), and the food here is always delightful. My husband and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here and tonight we had the pleasure of enjoying the most amazing Christmas dinner. WOW. Could not recommend Hannah s more. Ethan is a fantastic bartender and server. He is attentive without being annoying, and always so polite and helpful. Always a joy!

I ve been going to Hannah s for years! Rather it was for an evening drink after a long day of work or a romantic dinner with my husband. We have always been greeted and treated very well. The manager, Jennifer runs a tight ship. The place is always clean and pristine. Food is delicious and most of all the customer service is beyond exceptional! My mother and I went yesterday to celebrate our birthdays together. It was a delightful experience, and I think we may make it a yearly tradition. I lack the words to describe how marvelous the food is, but its clear the chef and kitchen staff pour their heart and soul into their creations. Every flavor pairing was sublime. Each ingredient heightens and transforms the rest. Some combinations are done here that I never would have considered, and each of them is a true delight. We had the Smoked Salmon Sideboard, Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken, a Mediterranean-style sweet potato dish whose name escapes me, and their Carrot Cake for dessert. I ordered their Aviation cocktail, and it was perfectly made. Every member of the staff we interacted with was kind and accommodating. The service was impeccable, and our server (I believe his name was John?) took excellent care of us all evening. The pacing of the courses was absolutely perfect--neither too fast, nor too slow. We never felt rushed by the sudden appearance of another plate, nor were we ever waiting once we had concluded a course. Truly a wonderful experience, and their attention to detail is exquisite. The setting feels intimate and warm, and theres a relaxing atmosphere. We both left well-satisfied, with the kind of contentment only a truly enjoyable dining experience can bring. This may very well have been the best birthday dinner Ive ever had. Thank you all for what you do. You do it exceptionally well. Parking: Parking for patrons is adjacent to the restaurant. Be sure to ask for a parking permit from the staff if you intend to leave your car there.

My first time to Hannahs to try something new and all was amazing! We had a reservation with my sister and friend. Stevie our server was great from first meeting to goodbye 2.5 hours later. We were celebrating a birthday which we didnt tell Stevie till the end of the night. We tried the crab, lobster, lamb, scallops and beef bourguignon. Delicious! All of it!! Highly recommend Hannahs! So lovely to enjoy fine dining in Denton!

We decided to have our monthly date night at Hannas and were really excited to try something new. We ordered the White Truffle Pomm Frittes as an appetizer and we both rated it 10/10, as it was amazing. For our entree, I ordered the special that night which was the NY Strip and my partner ordered the off the square prime tenderloin. My $78 NY Strip was bland and over cooked however I am too nice to speak up so I just ate the loss, literally. My partners prime tenderloin was tough and, once again, over cooked. We each got an alcoholic beverage which was the second star of the evening behind our appetizer. If anyone is considering eating here, make sure you order something decently priced in case you have the same taste experience we did. All in all, our $260 meal was quite a let down...

New chef. Stay away! We had dinner at Hannahs last tonight and noticed on the sign there was a new chef. All of the dishes we had had issues with food not being fresh or seasoned properly. When we complained, the chef came out and rudely explained to us that the salmon was high quality. In addition, the restaurant seating was not well-managed. It was so loud from a large group that was only partitioned with a curtain that we couldnt talk to each other. Terrible experience. We couldnt wait to get out of the restaurant.

We came towards the end of closing time, so I really appreciated that they could accommodate 10 of us. The Waiter was a great guy, very attentive, and was not pushy. I have the Chicken Saltimbocca - PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED CHICKEN BREAST ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH SAGE GNOCCHI BROWN BUTTER CREAM (taken from their website- sorry for the Caps). First time tonite and one of the best meals and exceptional service in DFW area. Our server Holly described to perfection the menu and answered all of our questions to help us make a choice. Two of us had off the square tenderloin with golden mashed potato with brussel sprouts cooked to perfection. Third member of our party had Halibut which also was delicious. Holly was so knowledgeable of the food. you would think she was the chef. She was continually checking on us to make sure everything was just fine. Then it came time for dessert. Again, Holly described the deserts as if she prepared them herself. It was so hard to decide she suggested we each get a different one and share which we did. It was a birthday dinner with friends, one I will certainly not forget. Having someone like Holly made it extra special.

Asked the hostess to seat us at a different table and she refused to Though we had a reservation and there were a lot of empty tables, I didn t want to seat there because there was a lot of sun hitting my face and the restaurant was empty. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner in the private dining room. I live in Alabama and did everything from reserving the room, planning the menu and all the details via email. Meili, the catering coordinator was so easy to work with. The private dining room was great and perfect for our event. Tristan & Marissa did a fantastic job as our servers and the food was outstanding! All of our family & friends who attended from several different states were so complimentary of everything as well and how incredibly good the food was. Highly recommend for any special event.

We arrived early to our reservation and they were able to seat us - which we appreciated. Once we sat at the table our hands were stuck to the table. The table was literally sticky - like wiped with a dirty rag or something. Plus the plates and glassware weren t coming off the table. We did think our waitress was great - very attentive and friendly, plus she knew the menu. We started with the bacon wrapped dates but learned they were tiny. Inch size and wrapped half inch in diameter. TINY. The fried green tomatoes were visually appealing but flavorless. They weren t golden enough nor pan fried to perfection. The buttermilk ranch was watery. Needless to say we didn t order our entrees. We paid our tab and walked out. Kind of a bummer but maybe we caught them on an off night.

Came here for a healthcare presentation and had to pick off a prefix menu. I picked the shortribs that came with a horseradish mash potato. Both was so flavorful, plenty of au joiu and the meat was tender. I saw the roasted chicken others ordered and that looked good too but small so I was happy with my choice because i had leftovers to take home to hubby. The desert menu was lacking, tasted like it was thawed from frozen. The service was fantastic and fast and we o ly had 1 waiter for 13people in the room. I was impressed!

I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. I ve driven by the location several times and never taken a second look. Being gluten free, finding a location for to celebrate a special occasion can be difficult when you stay local but after browsing my husband found Hannah s. We made a reservation for our wedding anniversary to have a nice dinner. If you know denton- you will appreciate this- they have a parking lot! So no need to circle around for a spot and walk to your destination. They have outdoor seating, which we opted out of, and choose inside and the atmosphere was awesome. The drink menu was great, lots to choose from. I recommend the hannahrita. Our server, Stevi, was great. She was attentive and helpful with suggestions and was conscious of the food allergy. The food was amazing. You HAVE to get the fries. Honestly the best fries I ve ever had. Each item i ordered, two apps, two entrees, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. It s on the higher end, price wise, but I personally think it wasn t that bad and totally worth it. I can t wait to go back! Hanna s disappointed this time. We have been here many times, but this time they failed to deliver. Two key faults: 1) it was Mother s Day, but when the waiter brought the meals, he brought 3 of the 4 meals, omitting my mother-in-law, obviously the matriarch of our party. He said he would bring hers right out. But on his next trip to the dining room, he served another table, before returning to the kitchen to finally retrieve our missing 4th meal. 2) My wife ordered the shredded rabbit pasta. Although this an expensive ($51) entree, it was basically inedible, due to the large number of small bones in a pasta dish! This was lazy prepping of the rabbit, leaving the diner to sift through the pasta to fish out the small bones. This meal did not meet the standards of fine dining disappointing, Hanna s.

The cards were lined up for us to have a negative experience here, we got seated right after a wedding rehearsal, we had to sit at the bar, all things that could be bad but the employees really showed up to make the night wonderful. Everyone was friendly , and when our food took a while to get to us they gave us a dessert on the house without even asking. Specifically Mai Lin, who if they aren t the manager should be the manager, was so accommodating and wonderful. Plus the food was fantastic and outside the traditional restaurant picks. All this to say even if the cards are stacked against you, Hannah s is the best bet.

If you need a go-to upscale restaurant, this is what you want. Pricing is reasonable (IMO), menu is diverse, and everything is super tasty! (Except the carrot cake. Its got buttercream icing instead of cream cheese and it just doesnt work, dont do it) I have an issue though, theres no ceiling. Theres this weird trend with not putting ceilings in buildings, I think its supposed to look industrial? But the issue I have is that if all that stuff up there is exposed, how often does it get dusted? Because if it doesnt get dusted then over the years--you get where Im going with this. I dont think it really takes that much from the experience, but every time I go in I cant help but wonder. Still, 5/5. Queenies is overpriced and nasty.

Came here for a Sunday brunch recently, last time I had eaten here was pre pandemic times. The dishes were good, tasty American food. They had a special that day with a fruit topped Dutch baby, which is something between a crepe and a pancake. Either way it was really good but pretty sweet. It had bananas and strawberries on top, dusted with powdered sugar, and drizzled with maple syrup. Will definitely hit your sweet tooth. Service was great and the other dishes were just as delicious. Overall recommend as a brunch option. Not sure how they are during other service times. Word of note though, at the time of this writing, they did not have lobster rolls on the menu anymore :(
