My fiance and I went to check out room on main for our wedding. The main room itself is spacious with large windows and great views; however, the lobby was very tight and building entrance is underwhelming/ sketchy. The exterior of the building appears run down and neglected. Despite some of these factors, my fiance were strongly considering this venue as the room itself was beautiful. This changed after our meeting with the sales associate. I will admit that we were about 8 minutes late due to unexpected traffic which we notified Madison. During our visit, we waited 20-30 minutes for Madison to print out menus and pricing chart. By the time she finished getting these items printed, she only gave us a few minutes to discuss the details... what actually what matters. She was short and did not seem interested in helping us. In the middle of me asking a question, she picked up her phone to read a text message, interrupted me and said she has to go for another showing. Never answered my question, then unprofessionally ushered us to the elevators and showed us out. We have visited multiple venues where items were printed ahead of time and the duration of our visit was spent answering questions. Her attitude did not bode well with us and the lack of professionalism was not something we wanted continued into planning our big day.

Ive given two stars mainly because the venue was stunning and the food was delicious. However, my overall experience was far from smooth. I found their pricing to lack transparency; they charged for many additional items without clear communication. Our point of contact changed frequently, causing confusion as each new person didnt continue where the last left off. When we inquired about adding an extra hour, we were initially told $500, but the final quote was around $3k, which was a shock. Their staff should have clarified that the $500 didnt cover everything instead of just quoting that amount. Despite raising these issues with a manager, he defended the staffs actions, stating everything was in the contract. However, I believe potential clients should be informed directly about these details. Its a shame because the venue itself is beautiful, and the food was excellent. One more thing to note is that some of the linens were not the color we had selected.

Highly recommended! The staff are very friendly and professional. I work with Emerald City Bands and our bands perform there quite often. Every detail is attended to thoroughly and I wish we could perform there every weekend!

The most beautiful venue in downtown Dallas! The wood floors, tall windows and chandeliers are the perfect timeless backdrop for an event - without having to spend too much extra money decorating. The natural light is amazing and made the space glow at golden hour. The lobby has recently been renovated and feels very luxe. We had our wedding here (both ceremony and reception), and everything was great. There are small rooms for both the bride and groom, and they validated parking for all of our guests - hard to find downtown! The only negative is that they mandate certain vendors - catering, DJ and photo booth. I only knew about the catering before the contract came out, so they could have been a bit more upfront with the others. We ended up happy with all their required vendors, but it definitely drove up the price. Not the most flexible venue in this regard, but we still had a great experience!

One of the most beautiful venues in downtown Dallas. Its absolutely breathtaking. I had my ceremony AND reception there. I did not have to worry about 1 thing!!! They have it DOWN! My guests were taken care of, the staff was so attentive and friendly and the food was beyond amazing. THANK YOU for making my wedding day a breeze. If you want a show-stopping downtown wedding, this is the place.

This space is gorgeous with huge windows and hardwood floors that are seriously amazing. Everyone loved the space. Rating 4 stars b/c I really did love it. However, there were a few frustrating things that occurred. 1) I sat down with the coordinator a few months in advance and things we discussed in the meeting never made it in/out of our BEO (I should have been more forcefully on getting things changed but was certain it was discussed so partially my fault. AKA everything needs to be in your BEO). 2) Things that were in my BEO (like GF meals for specific people) didnt happen until my guest had the nerve to ask and after being told no and demanding to get another plate, the catering lead so oh yes youre right. 3) The layout of the room/couches was not correct day of and had to be moved delaying set up. 4) Beware, the initial example they give you for food was like 1/2 of what I actually ended up with (again my choices for food) but the sample they give you is literally the cheapest of the cheap items. 5) Décor that we brought and ended up not being used was put away in storage and was never found again. This included ~50 glass hurricanes. This list is more so learnings which is why I still rated them a 4, but sharing so that future brides are aware. Again, the windows and the space are very very beautiful.

It is really very nice. If you plan to bring a singer, theres a wide space. Had good times. There is also a public park near. You pay $10 for 12 hours which is good deal. There is also a restaurant near if you feel hungry or need some coffee before the party starts.

The Room on Main is one of the most beautiful ballrooms in the city of Dallas and we could not have been happier with our amazing wedding and reception. Yes, it was a COVID wedding but all staff and vendors did an amazing job making us and our guests feel super safe. We appreciate the flexibility dealing with our roller coaster guest count. In the end we had a great turn out and everyone cannot stop complimenting the venue and the staff. Thanks again for making our day truly memorable!

TROM was everything I ever wanted in my wedding reception. I had been looking for a venue where my guests would be treated to a gorgeous view of the Dallas skyline; the TROM was perfect for this. Not to mention, the restored ballroom has so much character and is located in the heart of downtown Dallas. My husband and I are proud Texans and are very attached to the city so this couldn t have been more perfect. Food was our biggest concern during our wedding planning process. My husband is Vietnamese, and in his culture food means everything in a wedding (and can even affect how guests gift the couple!). Traditionally, Vietnamese weddings in DFW are hosted within a limited range of venues that can specially cater Chinese/Vietnamese food. We knew that a majority of our guests would be expecting this kind of food. TROM s biggest selling point was that food was their thing; and they absolutely delivered and went above and beyond my husband and my expectations. TJ, our venue coordinator, worked with us EVERY step of the way. We were able to customize our menu so that we had traditional Asian food items while still keeping some Western entrée s. CN Catering offered several public tastings of their (vast!) menu and we were also able to set up a private tasting with the chef. Quite literally, every small detail could be customized and was accounted for during our reception. CN Catering even went out of the way to recreate a special sushi roll that my husband and I had requested! They recreated it perfectly down to the T; and it felt like my husband and I were able to share something about ourselves to our guests through the food. Our guests loved TROM and were impressed by the food. A lot of our guests remarked on how fast the food came out. My husband s grandmother hasn t since stopped talking about how much she enjoyed everything about the wedding and food- and this speaks volumes about the TROM! Looking back at our wedding, we feel very satisfied and incredibly lucky and blessed. I don t think we could possibly be happier with how everything turned out. If we had to do everything again, we wouldn t change a thing.

Amazing. Thats all I can say to describe this venue. The minute I walked into The Room on Main, I fell in love with the ballroom for its large windows and natural light. The venue is indoor and can accommodate a large guest count, which was perfect for our July wedding. I appreciated the fact that the venue exclusively uses CN Catering and provide lighting services and linen rentals, as those were a few less vendors I needed to find on my own. The team provided a great planning timeline for me to reference and was responsive throughout the planning process for any questions or changes I wanted to make. On the day of, the venue was set up exactly as we discussed and was a comfortable temperature all night.

My band has performed here many times over the years for wedding receptions and other private events. Its a beautiful and versatile venue and the staff is always nice and helpful! The windows give amazing views to Downtown Dallas and the high ceiling just adds that much more beauty to the room. We love performing here and look forward to continue coming back. :)

Absolutely no regrets in our decision to use The Room on Main for my daughters wedding. The Brides love of wooden floors, tall windows overlooking the city, and chandeliers made the choice of The Room on Main as the wedding/reception venue an obvious choice. Once that decision was nailed down, it was on to a caterer. When selecting The Room on Main, the catering service of CN Catering (reviewed separately) was required for all food and linens. Also the use of LeForce Entertainment (reveiwed separately) as lighting is also mandatory. For us, those two selections made things easier. Although CN Catering and The Room on Main are separate companies, David is able to talk with you in answering questions which pertain to both areas. That is quite helpful. Please do not be concerned that you are required to use CN Catering. David makes himself available to answer questions and put you at ease. And the food, both in taste and presentation is outstanding! Our guests are still talking about the meal and service they received! Every comment has been extremely favorable. One of my dearest friends summed the evening as elegant and personal. What more could you want! You will have selections on linens to meet your price range as well as choices in foods to meet your budget. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about David, The Room on Main, and CN Catering. Thank you for helping to make my daughters wedding the wedding of her dreams.

The Room on Main is just flat out beautiful. If you want your wedding to have a sunny, open, downtown, and elegant vibe then this is your place! Why confine your wedding with four walls at a dark hotel room? The high ceilings and open windows really make for great pictures. All of our guests were wowed with Room and their staff. Its reasonably priced to rent, only catch is their catering company you have to work with so you cant choose your own, they can be pricey, however they did an excellent choice. If i had to do it all over again, i would still choose the Room on Main. The pictures came out beautifully. Worth the memories :)

What a great venue for a wedding! Early in the evening the atmosphere was the perfect formal setting for wedding vows and pictures. By the end of the night the room took on a high energy club feel to where everyone had a great time and danced until midnight. My recommendation is to always request the wall up-lights which gave the room plenty of character. Great choice for our wedding.

we loved the room on main for our wedding reception! the staff worked well with us, and the room at night looked so beautiful! we got so many compliments from our guests about the space. i loved how neutral of a palette the room is for other decoration. the only couple of downsides were that lighting was not included, and while leforce lighting is magnificent it still adds up and that they only have one catering choice. CN catering was sooo yummy though, but again, not the cheapest option. overall, we loved having our reception at the room on main!

This is a great venue! Beautiful architecture. Staff was very helpful. There isnt great parking, but you can arrange paid parking with the garage across the street for your event. And there are a few metered spots outside.
