Ive been eating here for over 35 years, and in my opinion, its the best in town. The menu has remained the same, and you can count on the food tasting exactly how you expect it to every single time. The service is professional and friendly; the atmosphere is comfortable; and the food is excellent.

Today my girl friend dine in with her family and they wasn t giving good service not trying to bring racism in but this was that situation, we was looking around and all the yt ppl seemed to get better treatment than us , they took so long to take in our orders, we saw another group of party that came in and they attended them so quick was so disappointed specially coming from a Tex-mex restaurant!! We definitely left no tip.

I think this is an extremely overpriced hole in the wall that is charging Mariano s Hacienda prices. Food was bland and expensive. I don t ever mind shelling out money for good Tex mex, but man this was bad all around. The pico had some kind of super soggy lettuce in it? And that salsa is 100% not made in house. Also, my Pacifico beer tasted very watered down. He had to pour it multiple times because of foam (indicator of high temp irregularities in the turbo tap). The service was great, no issues whatsoever.

What a gem of a find! My friends and I took our daughters on a birthday trip and this restaurant was our best experience hands down! The staff was great and so sweet. The food was delicious. By far what made our night was the live music group. Our girls danced and requested songs and they had such a great time! Our waiter brought them birthday sopapillas while the band played and sang Happy Birthday. A lovely experience to end our trip!

We visited Casita Tex Mex because it was close to our hotel and we love Mexican food. We immediately felt welcome when we entered. The menu wasn t overwhelming and had many creative twists to traditional Mexican dishes. The food was fresh and authentic. The waiter and bartender went out of their way to make a drink I wanted-thank you! Attentive staff were ready to refill the chip bowl, glasses of water and iced tea. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went in on a Saturday evening. There was a wedding reception happening and the place was packed. Besides the food being amazing the drinks were on point. The best part was how many times someone came by our table to check on us and make sure everything was ok or ask if we needed anything. We came from OKC but I will definitely be back the next time we are down in Dallas. We spent over $100 due to getting drink after drink lol ! My plate was only $17.50 and we had an appetizer.

Very nice inside. Comfortable seating. Our server was Kenya she was super kind, quick and kept a smile on her face. Her service was amazing staff is very attentive. Kenya kept our glasses full, checked in to assure everything was good, which everything tasted delicious especially their chips and salsa! Yum! The beef enchilada was flavorful the taco had a crispy shell fresh ground beef as well as the tostada. All staff was supporting each other and helping where needed. I can assume they have great relationships within. If you want great Tex-mex I recommend this restaurant. My family and I will definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

Casitas is one of my favorite Tex Mex spots in Dallas. Been going to that location for Tex Mex since I was a kid. The facility has been renovated and is very nice and clean. Chips and hot salsa are very good worth visiting just for that alone. Ordered the Ground beef nachos and was very impressed, ate the entire plate. I order this a ton of places this version the meat had great flavor and somehow still light and airy.

This is a neat little spot in an unsuspecting location. Great drink specials & waiter even sat down to give detailed local advice (helped my wife navigate Facebook Marketplace as we searched for a used car as a belated Christmas gift for a relative). Who does that? Very impressed. We bought a car after having it inspected & delivered it a couple days later!

Me and a friend visited this restaurant last night. We sat and ate at the bar. Bartender wasn t very attentive and would leave for long periods of time. Also for the quality of food, the bill was very expensive. We ordered two cups of tortilla soup, and shared a Mexican pizza(it s actually just a quesadilla appetizer priced as an entree), sopapilla and a four Dos Equis between the two of us. Bill was over $75 and didn t feel worth it.

Still in search of the perfect enchilada. Alas, Casitas (the new iteration of Casa Rosas) on Blackwell is not the place to find it. Queso w ground beef was so bland it could not compete to the great flvor of the tostadas. I had the Red Raider plate with beef enchiladas the chili con carne was the only thing that had any flavor. The taco, meat and cheese only came meat and taco shell only but only the taco shell had any flavor. Zs enchilada dinner, with one chicken, one cheese, under chili con queso, came with two chicken, queso, and a ton of jalapenos. Bruces chili rellenos with veggies was the only plate with any spice at all. The cheesecake with praline sauce was served still frozen but hot sauce on top. We mused at what Chef Ramsey unfettered might say about the look of the dish. We looked around and found the average age of customers was at least 65, so we pondered whether this was the retirement home version of tex-mex meant not to upset old folks tummies. We probably wont return until the next iteration.

Visited for the first time with my two sisters. We were seated quickly even though it was very packed. Our waiter was great! Chips and salsa were perfect. Perfect hot corn tortilla and salsa. They refill your chips and salsa as soon as your bowls get low. My sisters enjoyed their enchiladas and chimichanga. However, the brisket had no flavor. I ordered the chile rellenos, and I could not even finish it. I am a huge barbacoa fan, so I usually go for brisket anytime barbacoa isnt available, and I have never been so disappointed. The charro beans were also very bland. We all tasted the beans and brisket and agreed that they were flavorless.

I live nearby and have been wanting to visit for a while. Had a taste for beef nachos, so I ended up going. I do need to warn, the salsa they give with the chips is EXTREMELY spicy, albeit good (and I have a high tolerance for spicy foods). That said, the beef nachos I ordered were very good! It was just the right amount of cheese and a perfect amount of beef. I added a little of the spicy salsa instead of eating the jalapeños, and that gave it the perfect flavor. I also had a margarita on the rocks, which was really good too. The server/bartender was friendly, and the food was prepared pretty quickly. The restaurant is small, but I like the vibe (better than larger spots). Ill definitely visit again for a full dinner with my husband really soon.

This place is soooo good! My husband, sister and I recently rediscovered Casita Tex Mex after the restaurant was featured in the Dallas Morning News Weekend Guide when the restaurant reopened in Fall 2022, after a fire and subsequent remodel. The food tastes exactly as I remember from earlier days. We cannot get enough of the old-style Tex Mex food but there are many more offerings. There is a good, full bar as well. But what really makes this place stand out is the owner and all the staff. All are outgoing, friendly, fun, and welcoming - a real family atmosphere that you know when you see. The owner wears many hats and even sings on some Saturday nights, which I hope to see soon! I highly recommend Casita for a true Tex Mex experience.

My first visit since the reopening. Absolutely awesome remodel. Very open, clean and decorated beautifully. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The first server came to the table for the drink order and she never returned for over 5 minutes. The bus boy came to the table as he noticed that I had been waiting a while. He took my drink order and went to get someone. The bartender walked up to take the drink order about a minute after the bus boy. I told him water and when he brought it I asked what was the delay. He literally said, We were busy so we had to clean the tables. I said no one was waiting to be seated... would you make a customer wait while you clean the tables? I explained that I asked the first server and she left and I watched her do a take out order, pass me up 3 times with no eye contact, and never brought my water. He said, Well the tables had to be cleaned...shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. Because I love the food there I stayed and waited on my 2 friends to join. Great food overall. Tacos, enchiladas and rice and beans. The food will not dissapoint.

Salsa is good but everything else is bad. Ambience is sterile and fluorescent. Service was slow and it was not busy and there were plenty of people working. Food was just tasteless. It looked like it was going to be good but every bite was a disappointment. Didn t even finish my plate. Margarita was so sweet and weak. Tasted like a melted popsicle. What the others said about the melted cheese being like velveeta is true. There s nothing Mexican or even Tex-mex about this place. I was surprised at how bad it was considering the good reviews.

Best cheese enchiladas in my opinion! I also love the guacamole and their salsa. So happy they finally reopened after everything they ve been through the past few years. The only thing that will make them even better is when they re available on DoorDash or Uber eats for delivery. Can t wait!

WAYYYY OVER PRICED!!! You can get tacos from a food truck for a cheaper price and it would taste better! Definitely not owned by a Mexican.

I went to Casita tonight to pickup a to go order. This the first time I have been there since it was rebuilt. The place was packed and the new look of the Tex-Mex Bar and Grill is great! It was a very festive atmosphere. The food was great as usual l. I cant wait to go back and eat in the restaurant.

IF you like the taste of Velveeta cheese, get the cheese enchiladas as they taste just like that although I was told they do not use it. I had also asked for Ranchero beans but got refried. Didnt see waitress once food was served so got the correct beans at the end. Didnt care for those either; lacked seasoning. Wont be going back

We went for dinner last night and the place was packed... On a Monday... the manager said it was unexpected so service was slower than usual but I understand that coming from past retail experience. The deciding factor was going to be how the food tasted and we were not disappointed. its been a few years since weve been here simply because we moved away and I forgot they use American cheese instead of cheddar and I love that. We got beef tacos enchiladas and chalupas and they did not disappoint one bit. Bottom line is we will be back and go even more now.

This place is delicious! We had a late weekend lunch here before some shopping at Half Price Books. Rhonda knew the menu well and provided excellent service that far exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be back and look forward to sharing a meal here again with family and friends.

Weve lived just down the street from this amazing little place for about 13 years now but we only just tried it about a year or so ago (we have a couple favorite Go-Tos when were craving authentic mexican) and have been several times since. I must say I wish we had tried it sooner! They have full bar, GREAT live music sometimes and a rather large menu with literally something for everyone! Their complimentary chips and salsa are some of the best youd get at any Mexican place and portions are NOT small by any standard. My only wish is that theyd add tortas to the menu! Im a soup/salad/sandwich kinda person AND a bit obsessed with Mexican food so if they ever add that option, I would have a place to go to no matter what Im craving!!!
