We just had our Empty Nest Social group there last night and we had a blast! Angel and Alexa were our servers and they we very attentive and so nice! The owner checked in with us before our event and during to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. Many of us stayed for karaoke (always on Wednesdays at 8pm) we had so much fun. I highly recommend Underdogs! Whether you are there to watch a sports game (lots of TV s and a HUGE one behind the stage) or there with a large group at such a great venue to have in Lake highlands. They also have very nice pool tables! LOVE THEIR FRIES!

A group of Lake Highlands friends, all of whom are now empty nesters, met tonight at Underdog to catch up and support LH nonprofits. Great food and atmosphere, and after 8pm there was more fun with Karaoke. I appreciated how attentive the waitstaff was, especially Angel. We appreciate having this locally owned and operated restaurant in NE Dallas near Lake Highlands. This pic is of our late, late crowd. We had many more come out tonight. Came in no greeting at all. Sat down at bar , was asked for a card like normal to start a tab but seen that my card was being charged a ,5$ to start the tab. Luckily my card was locked. Then after sitting and ordering food was great burger was cooked well still juicy, fries omg they were great thin and well seasoned. Sad thing that have to wait for long time to get a refill almost Thirty minutes after I asked for refill. A accident happened and seen someone run from that table lady was in floor then I asked what happened waitress said dont know. I said I seen some guy run from that table and came back then bartender came to me afterwards said I cant be saying things like that you can get kicked out and she said this came from the manger my friend said why didnt your manager come and tell us this ?. Unhappy first time here and I might not come back if they treat new customers like this. You guys have to work on that if this place wants to stay open long just saying. Kid-friendliness: Seen you kids in this establishment so Im guessing its kid friendly after 7pm

We had so much fun last night at Underdog Restaurant and Sports Clubs Ribbon Cutting and Happy Hour. Ross and the Underdog team took great care of us. Killer food and drink, attentive service, DJ, Salsa Dancing, Door Prizes! Wonderful time all around. With different events every night, ya gotta check em out. We have been here 3 times. Once on a Saturday afternoon during a Rangers game - super fun environment, great space, so many tvs, family friendly, but not over run with kids. The 2nd visit we went on a Monday night and played trivia - super fun to do with older kids. 3rd visit was a Sunday night - quiet, but some pool players and good county music play list. Food and service has been great! Has a long bar, and 3 pool tables, but still feels more like a restaurant because there s so much setting.

I will be back to re-review. There were only 2 of (12?) drafts working, so beer options were basically zero. It was pretty empty when we were there, but friends told me it gets very full for Dallas sports team games. (We were there for European championships) The burger was delicious! The shoestring fries arent my style, I prefer thick steak fries, but they were also good. Churro fries were excellent! Would love to see cheese fries and onion rings. Our server said they were coming soon and I cant wait to try them! Staff was very nice, service was very mediocre after initial ordering (had to flag the server down multiple times to get drinks) Great potential, hope this place thrives because its the only well built sports bar in the Lake Highlands area. The wings are horrible and not worth a penny. The meat quality is unacceptable. DO NOT waste your money on the wings. The bartender service was good, but the food was not. I ordered three flavors of wings, but my order was returned with two of the flavors combined. I dont think this was a mistake because if it was, one flavor would have been forgotten entirely, not combined with another. This shows arrogance and a lack of care in the kitchen. I ate part of the order and sent the incorrect portion back. I overheard someone in the kitchen say there is no return policy when the server returned the wings. This business is not striving to be competitive but instead acts as if consumers owe them their money. I will not return to this place, nor should you.

Had lunch here with party of four - two kids. The atmosphere was great for a sports bar. Tons of TV s and really good service. But holy moly was it expensive - with two kids meals and no adult beverages, the cost with tip was about $100. Not a family dining place, but good option to catch the game.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at Underdog Restaurant and Sports Club during Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The atmosphere was electric, creating the perfect setting for an exciting game night. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. While the chicken wings were decent, my wife absolutely loved the Brussel sprouts, describing them as excellent. She also enjoyed the Out Of Your League cocktail, praising its strength and delicious flavor. I was impressed with the beer selection, which offered a variety of options to suit different tastes. We came for the Mavs game, and we were told when we ordered drinks that the taps were already out (and out of extra kegs) and to order buckets of beer. That s kind of crazy when you have a championship game and you re ill prepared, but ok. So we ordered buckets of beer. We were told it s 25 for a bucket. At the end of the night, the total came out to much more than that. 6 dollar charge for each person as an event charge and an extra 1 dollar for each beer in the bucket. A 25 dollar bucket became 43 bucks. That s really quite ridiculous to surprise your patrons like that, let alone the pricing fees. We asked to talk to a manager, and it ended up not being an event charge that the server told us but actually a large party fee - for 5 people!!! The manager said they would take care of the 1 dollar fee for each beer, but we still ended up tipping on top of this extra gratuity fee due to their deceptive practices. Net net, if you go - prepare to be told they don t have enough kegs for a regular game, prepare for slow service, prepare for mediocre food, and prepare for surprises when you get your check. I can look beyond the newness of the business and learning from the first few weeks of being open, but it s really too bad because Lake Highlands needed a good sports bar - but this is another business working to milk their customers instead of offering good service, good food, at fair prices. We certainly won t be back. YMMV. Proceed with caution.

First time here. Underwhelmed by menu options. Would have liked more appetizer options. Chicken strips were overcooked and very tough. Had a hint of fish thinking they might use the same grease to fry the fish and chicken. Atmosphere is good, definitely a sports bar with lots of viewing options.w Will try again after they have been opened for a while.

First time customer and my family and I can t wait to come back. The food was phenomenal (the fried pickles were a table favorite), drinks not only *looked* good but tasted great. The staff were friendly and attentive, music had a little bit of everything and was enjoyable to sit and listen to, lots of tvs for different sports games, and we enjoyed a nice game of pool. One of my friends worked on this build & told me about it! It s about 10 minutes from me, and my SO & I went last Wednesday I think it was we LOVED IT!! We hadn t found a place around us here that played all Dallas teams (Bally sports). So much fun to watch Mavs, Stars, and Rangers! Crowd was great. Bartender, sorry I don t have name, but super tall darker skinned gentleman, was hilarious & helped make it a great experience. We usually start at one place and end at another but had such a great time we stayed there the whole time. We will definitely be returning!
