Isaac took very good care of us. On arrival, two spots were reserved at the corner of the bar, just as I had asked when making reservation. Had the prosciutto/bruschetta - delicious. Atmosphere would have been 5-star but on arrival music was too loud. Isaac turned it down so was a 5 star during latter half of time there.

UPDATE - new Perch Bar and Bistro: Dined last night with another couple and the menu is one that will draw us back often with very approachable selection of pizzas, pastas, burger, appetizers and salads. Full entrees for a full course dinner if desired. We elected for pizza to share, with each person getting a salad or a pasta. The two pastas looked, smelled and tasted wonderful. The pizza was delicious. BUT - the most interesting and unique that is now a signature of the place is the DIP DIP DIP. (you choose 3 dips). I wanted all 5. WHich was better for a party of 4. I can if only 1 or 2 people than 3 is about right. But you really want to try all 5. Made my palate very happy to start the evening. Ill back very soon! Review of previous restaurant - Deas - Lynae and Tracy hit a home run with this one. Inspired by their travels to Italy and the region surrounding, the menu is almost perfect. I m personally waiting for the wood fired oven to be used for pizzas once again. :-) The menu is curated for different desires yet not a ton of choices. Thus you know each item will be done to perfection. The atmosphere is unpretentious yet I would consider it fine dining without the white table cloths. Bone marrow, rigatoni and scallops all delighted the taste buds as did the eggplant creation on crostini as an appetizer. Dea presents itself as what dining out in Dallas should be. A satisfying experience all round.

While searching for a breakfast or brunch spot, we stumbled upon a charming eatery advertised by a sandwich board by the road, which prompted us to give it a shot. Despite being underdressed for its surprisingly upscale ambiance, the staff treated us wonderfully, making us feel welcome. The service was excellent throughout. I enjoyed a delicious Steak and Eggs, while my girlfriend savored a delightful chicken dish, and we topped off our meal with a scrumptious dessert. Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience!

This was my second visit to this establishment. Before, I start my review...special shout out to JENNIFER (GM), BRANDON (more than a waiter but our experience manager), and chefs kiss to Chef LOVE!!!! Both times, the wait was minimal, the seating is very comfortable, and the ambiance is chilly although amazing (bring a jacket if youre sitting in the main dining area). If youre eating/drinking at the bar or the chefs table, youll be just fine. Now lets get into the experience, Jennifers personality felt familiar and I loved it! Although, she was talking to strangers she was invested in the experience. Brandon, gave us excellent recommendations (King Salmon with mushroom risotto). The way he explained it, I was able to taste the ingredients. He made sure we were okay without overbearing us with check ins. The perfect balance. However, lets get into this Watermelon salad... CHEF LOVE presentation of this salad with all the ingredients mixed was a heavenly symphony with my tastebuds. Im still trying to duplicate it at home but Im missing something... My mother and I both got a plate to go for our spouses and they too were impressed with the food. I didnt take any pictures of my food because pictures wont do it any justice. Hope to see you there someday! -DREA

If you want to yell all evening, this is your place! Omg, the four of had to shout at each other for the entire 90 minutes. My sister and I took our parents to dinner...our 94-year old dad has ordered Manhattans all of his life, but at Dea, his came in a glass the size of an expresso cup--it was embarrassing--it was gone in about 3 sips. My dad was seriously not happy. The steak tartare was just okay, something was seriously lacking. Service was okay, our waiter was really wonderful, but it was so loud that even though it had been clarified twice to him that we wanted two of the same dish, he still thought two people wanted to share that dish, and only one came when everyone was served. The main dishes were wonderful, but it was so incredibly loud and chaotic that we all left feeling exhausted and agreed wed never go back!

It could have not been much worse. It took forever to get our drinks and order our food. We ordered two appetizers but they brought three. We could never catch the waiter to let him know, and he never asked how it was. Had to beg for drink refills. It was taking so long to get our main courses that a manager noticed and said he would comp our appetizers. The result is that they comped the one appetizer that we didnt order (whee!). By the time our food arrived, it was luke warm, but we were so hungry we wouldnt dare send it back. There were four of us--three meals arrived at the same time and the fourth arrived 10 minutes later. At least three times they tried to serve us food that we hadnt ordered. After dinner, the waiter appeared and rattled off a bunch of desserts, and we said to give us a minute to decide. He never came back to take a dessert order. Time just kept rolling by. We had to ask for water refills then ask for our check then ask for him to take the credit card. Food was mostly mediocre. The whole ordeal was over 2 1/2 hours and we were still hungry. It this place was ever any good, it has lost it. Well never be back.

One of our appetizer orders came out wrong, then they charged us for the wrong one plus what we ordered . Side never showed up, but at least we werent charged for it. Other diners food kept arriving at our table. Main courses took over an hour . 2 out of 4 entrees arrived just barely lukewarm. Manager apologized without stopping... Just a drive-by sorry, well comp an appetizer. No refills offered until after we finished eating... 90 minutes later. Sheesh... Awful experience! Wont voluntarily return.

This was our first experience. The Bone Marrow appetizer was a huge let down. The $100 ribeye steak was cooked to perfection but was absolutely as bland as a hamburger patty. My wife s veggie dish was a bust and the $125 wine was good but could be purchased at any liquor store for $44. I did not see one thing about this place to warrant ever going back. There were plenty of 4 person tables open downstairs. We are in our 80s and we had to climb terrifyingly steep stairs (no elevator) to sit in a small room at a table which was for 4 people. Completely unacceptable treatment. I guess they didnt want customers to see old white haired people. I have found this to be true at other restaurants. Old people are seated near kitchens or out of sight. Salads were good. Wood roasted bone marrow was HORRIBLE goo. We are never going back. If I could give it no stars, I would. Some big names behind this restaurant but the overall experience, both food and service, was underwhelming.

Dea is another home run by the Tracy + Lynae dream team! The cuisine is quintessential Italian with some amazing creative twists that change regularly. I have dined there twice since they opened and the wine list has already doubled with an exceptional Italian selection...be sure to ask for any special Amarones they have off list. The experience was topped off by perfect service and phenomenal attention to all details. The atmosphere and vibe are hip, lively and really add to the overall dining experience. The question is not if we will be back, but how quickly and frequently. Outstanding job pulling together another spectacular concept!

First of all, the dinning experience is exceptional. The food is amazing. The cold cut sampler is freshly prepared, high quality meat and cheese; but be aware, do not eat them all, save room for entree and dessert. Casarecce with octopus is strongly recommended, the octopus might be one of the best octopus you had in your life; tenderness and toughness of the octopus is at a magical balance point. Shrimp pasta is another story, the flavor blasts in your mouth as soon as you take the first bite. Try olive oil cake as dessert, the cake itself is less flavored; but when you eat the cake with vanilla cream or berries, flavor will be boosted by the cake. Service and dinning environment is also outstanding. The excellency of the service start at the door, complementary valet parking and kindly greeting. Waiter and waitress really know menu well, they are very helpful.

The food was excellent (which is why the two stars), but our service was awful. It took 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks, and they came after we d finished our appetizer. We ate on the second floor, which was incredibly noisy and crowded. I was really looking forward to this meal, and while the food was as incredible as we expected (we ve been to Shinsei and Lovers Seafood many times), the service was just terrible. Two other tables next to us left before their entrees were served for the same reason. After being open 6 weeks and being owned by very seasoned restauranteurs, we expected much more. So sad. I hope they figure this out. Dallas has a lot of great restaurants.

The combination of location, decor, and service that are rolled into this new venture by some of the VERY BEST restauranteurs in Dallas would cover up some issues with execution. Fortunately, THERE ARE NONE. As a service professional, Ive seen soft opens that were much, much less well managed. Chef Roman has created a fantastic menu that Im very much looking forward to exploring from top to bottom. The cocktail menu is forward-thinking and well considered. While the wine list did not immediately overwhelm, their Sommalier explained that this had far more to do with availability than their preference. Im sure it will improve soon. In summation, Rathbun and Fearing have knocked another one out of the park. Im looking forward to all my future visits.

Dea was a five-star, fabulous experience from walking-in to walking-out. We were politely greeted upon walk-in, and proceeded to the open bar until the remainder of our party arrived. The bartenders were immediately attentive and made us a tasty round of cocktails. Soon thereafter, we were accompanied to our table and had a wonderful dining experience trying several dishes. I failed to capture all served plates and entrees, but each and every dish was spectacular and had palatable taste. I highly recommend and urge you to try a selection in every category offered because we did so, and nothing disappointed any of us! We will be back to enjoy again and again!

Never been to a restaurant so close to their opening that was operating so smoothly! The service was fantastic, cocktails were incredible, and the food was outstanding. Each course was a treat, and the bone marrow luge with a tasty sherry was over the top fun.
