THE best tapas you will have, with hands down the best service and atmosphere you could pair them with. The server was kind and gave us on point recommendations. We celebrated a special occasion with them and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert board, a very thoughtful touch for repeat customers. The croquetas and patatas bravas are our favorite only topped by the pulpo gallego. Run, don t walk.

This is one of my favorite places to experience anytime I known I m in need of a seamless night. I say experience because that is exactly what they are serving every time. The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming and very personable. I decided to celebrate my birthday at Barcelona last night and our server Christian could not have made it more special and memorable. He was incredibly attentive, non rushing despite knowing we had come a little close to closing time. Excellent attitude and even provided my friend and I with a fun list of his favorite food places around town as I had requested in conversation. I will continue to come back as they never disappoint and neither does the menu!

I booked a reservation for 2 in advance and when we got there we waited an additional 15mins. Once we got out table they had us sit outside where the fan blowed water in our faces and hair, so I came in and politely asked us to move indoor and they said people are camping indoor and nothing they can do so we waited another 15mins and they shoved in in the back area by a big party and we could barely hear each other talk. So we left our tables and waited another 15mins at the bar to find a place to sit. They need to do a better job at prioritizing reservations and front host is extremely rude and purposely gave us the worst place to sit. What is the purpose of reserving if I have to wait 30 mins?

This restaurant offers one of the premier wine experiences in Dallas. Upon entering, I received a warm welcome from Marco, who escorted me to my table. Caleb promptly introduced himself, reviewed the menu, and provided recommendations for both wine and food. The hummus, crab croquettes, beef empanadas, and chicken thighs were all exceptionally flavorful. The establishment boasts a vibrant atmosphere and a bustling dining scene.

We recently had a wonderful dining experience at Barcelona Wine Bar in Dallas. Our group of four enjoyed a delightful selection of tapas and paellas. The whipped ricotta was a standout, served with warm, fresh sourdough bread that was absolutely delicious. We also tried two different paellas a seafood version and one with chicken and sausage. The seafood paella was a bit on the saltier side, but still quite good, with the shrimp tasting especially fresh and flavorful. The chicken and sausage paella was also enjoyable. Wed rate the paellas a solid four stars. However, the overall experience at Barcelona Wine Bar was definitely a five-star one. The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were initially seated outside, but when it started raining, they quickly moved us indoors and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable despite the unexpected weather. To top it off, we were treated to complimentary desserts, including a delicious olive oil cake and a rich chocolate cake both easily deserving five stars. We ended the night with shots of espresso, which perfectly capped off a memorable meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly, with a special mention to our server, Juliet, who made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a great experience with amazing food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

I was visiting Dallas this week and got a recommendation to check out Barcelona Wine Bar, so we decided to try it out for brunch (8/31). Our server, Cherish, was so attentive by walking us through the ordering process with tapas, and very informative with all the dishes as well as wines for us to try based on our tastes. Cherish made the start of our saturday morning on vacation with so much kindness and fun even when they were busy taking care of other guests. the atmosphere and food were wonderful but Cherish really takes the cake on impecable service. Absolutely recommend checking this place out!

I liked it, just didn t love it. Had a reservation for Friday at 530p. Place was hopping and we were seated at booth in bar area. Our sever was good, but did take a bit long to take our order as they had a high volume of tables. We ordered all at once and enjoyed as they came out. Started with the Chorizo Picante with aged manchego for charcuterie and cheese. Never have complaints about meat and cheese. Then we had the asparagus, carrots and mushrooms a la plancha. All were cooked wonderfully, but the extra sauce on the asparagus was unnecessary. Our main dishes were the whole branzino and half order of the paella Mariscos. Was somewhat disappointed in the paella, was missing that extra something. But after I scraped the pan to mix those charred bits with the rest of the dish it made an improvement. Carrots and mushrooms were delicious, I especially like the lemon in the mushrooms.

We went in on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was pretty packed. Inside, tables were too close to each other and the music was too loud in my opinion. Tried mangalica ham for the first time. It had too much membrane in my opinion and did not offer the melt in your mouth texture and rich flavor. They had a pretty large tapa selection. We ordered 9 tapas. I really liked eggplant caponata (cold eggplant salad type of thing), truffled bikini (dry cured ham sandwich), bacon wrapped dates. Albondigas (meatball), pork belly, grilled oyster, and crab croquette were not bad. Didn t like steak paillard and hamachi Tiradito. They have a generous happy hour from 4 to 6. We had a pretty good time there!

These people ruined my three year anniversary. We had reservations made over a month in advance. We arrive and they claim they don t have a table, we will have to wait. They sit four other parties who walked in after us, again, we were on time and had a reservation. Either these people were late for their reservations or didn t have table. We waited for half an hour after our reservation and finally gave up. In addition to it being poorly run, it was loud as sin and crowded seating. The valet (who was very nice) explained this place is really bad about this. They will sit people at the bar and tell them oh just a little longer. They said people wait up to 45-60 minutes past their reservation time. I get it. Sometimes it s busy. But sitting four other parties before us who came in after us? What on Earth is the point in a reservation then? Especially if you have a habit of doing this. We had to go run around town and change our entire plans for the evening. Clean up your act BWB. If you run your restaurant so badly even your valet notices, that really should be a wake up call. Appalling.

From trying locations in the northeast (NY & CT) to here in Dallas, this one is friendly, the service never misses and somehow my go-to tapas taste better here. We had about half of the menu of items but two stuck out to definitely try (they were all tasty, even the one I didnt want to try my friend ordered that isnt on the menu which was octopus) Chorizo with Sweet & Sour Fig - this was so DELICIOUS. The balsamic reduction being the key. That stuff was so delicious we were scraping up the plate with bread to not let any waste. Order 2 or 3 portions at least cause fn YUM. Spiced Beef Empanadas - it only comes with two so make sure you order accordingly but these were packed with flavor, I could eat 3-4 on my own but held back to try all the tapas we ordered. Especially tasty when you dip it in the balsamic reduction sauce ( ° °)

Nestled in the heart of Dallas, Barcelona offers an authentic taste of Spanish cuisine that transports diners straight to the vibrant streets of Europe. Upon entering, one is immediately greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. Barcelona excels in delivering generous portions that satisfy without overwhelming. The bread, a seemingly simple offering, stands out with its perfect texture and fresh-baked aroma, hinting at the quality to come. The true stars of the menu, however, are the tapas. Each dish is a masterful blend of flavors and textures, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen. Highlights include the patatas bravas, which strike the perfect balance between crispy and tender, and the gambas al ajillo, where succulent shrimp are bathed in a garlicky, aromatic olive oil. Complementing the exquisite food is a drinks menu that impresses with both its variety and quality. The cocktails are expertly crafted, with a particular nod to the sangria, which is refreshingly light yet robust in flavor. Overall, Barcelona is a standout destination for anyone seeking genuine Spanish cuisine in Dallas. With its excellent portions, delightful bread, outstanding tapas, and superb drinks, it promises a dining experience worth repeating. A visit here is not just a meal, but a culinary journey that beckons a return.

This place was mediocre, the only good thing was the wine. The tapas were mid and not authentic. More American than Spanish food, that s for sure. The whipped Ricotta and olives are the only good thing on the menu and that s because they didn t cook it. Truffled bikini was a grilled cheese sandwich and the chorizo and figs tasted like pigs in a blanket. Went for our anniversary and left very disappointed. Definitely not 4.5 stars, if you want some 5 star Tapas, go to Si Tapas up the street from there. Way more authentic and the chef actually knows what he s doing.

Great place... Ill be a regular. Great Euro/Spain wine list... Even the American list was well chosen. High quality tapas. A bit pricey I thought, but the quality and quantity delivered the value. Extensive opportunity to see how a good Tempranillo should taste... I want Texas to be good at it, but not yet... maybe C.L. Butaud. Dietary restrictions: Look at the menu before you go... Spain, not Mexico.. This is not your everyday diner. If you cannot consume adventurously or have a desire for new things, its not for you. If you do... You will love it. Parking: Its a busy section of Henderson a half block off Central Expressway. History would tell me, go early if you have reservations... This place will boom. Kid-friendliness: Not a kid place.

My partner and I came here for valentine s dinner because we had such a magical experience at the location in denver. While the service here was great, food was just ok overall and atmosphere missed the mark. Croquetas and albondigas were great, but our bread was burnt and the paella was missing the crispy bottom that we savored at the denver spot. Felt like the paella s cook time might have been a bit rushed, which I can understand given a busy night. Our biggest complaint, however, was the obnoxious music that completely derailed any sense of romance the otherwise nice, candlelit table would have offered. From Drake to Daft Punk, we suffered through an endless cacophony of overly loud, bassy songs that made us feel like we were at a club and not a wine bar on valentine s evening. Completely changed the vibe and compelled us to pick up the check sooner than we might have otherwise. Despite the kind service and complimentary truffles and almonds, I don t plan on returning to this location for a romantic night.

Its difficult to find quality cheese that melts with a certain umptiousness that this place seems to stock en masse. This trendy tapas spot has a menu full of variety for any and all kinds of tastes. The music is loud, the crowd is louder, yet with my damaged hearing it was not overbearing. Our group tasted most of the menu, and all offerings were splendid. I would caution against the bacon wrapped dates, for some reason they were absolutely awful. One of those pungent moments where the taste crawls up your sinus cavity and you can taste its deathlike decay in your nose. Quite a letdown on those, but when you order 20 other items, meh, who cares.

Came with my family, a party of 8, during brunch hours this past Sunday. I was able to view some of the wines online, but the in-house menu is more in-depth. They have done a great job with the wine selections. I couldnt recall the name of the wine Id scouted online previously but knew the blend. Our server, Paris, immediately knew which wine I was talking about when I rattled off the grapes. They had every variety I would expect and hope to see with Spanish cuisine, including a couple Ive never seen anywhere other than specialty orders from retail. Make sure to determine who is ordering the bravas if you have a larger group. I think we collectively ordered 3-4 servings, though we ate most if not all of them. While I feel like I ate a ton and drank some good wine, I did not leave feeling heavy. Ive been to other tapas style restaurants but can honestly say this is the first I will come back to. Thank you, Paris and staff, for the great experience and service.

The ambiance and vibe of this place is awesome, its got a very cool look on the inside and very cozy and modern. Tapas is also a fun format to eat, everyone gets to try a little bit of everything. We tried a lot of things, and they were good, but not like oh wow good. If Im paying $12 for a tiny plate, Im expecting it to be pretty dang good. I would say the food is decent, but not what I would consider gourmet or outstanding. The spiced beef empanadas were basically sloppy joe filling, which is fine, but I can make sloppy joes at home. The cheese was good, but we kept running out of bread. Maybe I was expecting a little bit higher level cuisine given the high level of atmosphere and ambiance.

A Bittersweet Bite at Barcelona Dallas Atmosphere: 5 out of 5 stars Service: 4.5 out of 5 stars Stepping into Barcelona Dallas feels like taking a mini-vacation to Spain. The vibrant colors, cozy booths, and warm lighting create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly, making sure your every need is met. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. She checked on us regularly without being intrusive, ensuring we enjoyed our meal. Food: 3 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, the food didnt quite live up to the high standards set by the atmosphere and service. While some dishes were quite enjoyable, others were lackluster and disappointing. The Hits: Gambas al Ajillo: These succulent shrimp were cooked to perfection and swimming in a garlicky sauce that was bursting with flavor. The Misses: However, one dish that truly fell short of expectations was the seafood paella. This iconic Spanish dish, unfortunately, lacked the vibrancy and flavor we were hoping for: - Overcooked Rice: The rice in the paella was unfortunately overcooked, losing its al dente texture and becoming mushy. - Missing Socarrat: The coveted socarrat, the crispy layer at the bottom of the pan, was completely absent, robbing the dish of its signature element. - Lack of Flavor: The paella lacked the vibrant and complex flavors that define this classic dish. It simply tasted bland and uninspired. This disappointing experience was particularly jarring as I had enjoyed the paella at Barcelona Dallas on multiple previous visits. This inconsistency raises concerns about the kitchens ability to maintain quality standards. Recommendation: For these reasons, I strongly recommend removing the paella from the menu at Barcelona Dallas. This will allow the kitchen to focus on refining its existing dishes and potentially introducing new, exciting options. Until the paella can be consistently prepared to a high standard, its better to remove it from the menu than risk disappointing guests.

We had Saturday dinner reservations but were seated on the patio in 50 degree very windy weather. They did have heaters and gave us blankets but it didn t help against the wind. We asked why we couldn t be inside and were told they had a large party that reserved the back half of the restaurant. Again, we had reservations Everyone they brought onto the patio had the same reaction and complaint. The wait staff was stressed and not very kind. We had 3 waiters and had to place the same orders several times from their confusion. All for the food that was just okay. When we left the large party still had not even arrived and the restaurant and bar area were crammed with ppl standing and waiting.

The truth is that I went with the hope of taking my wife, to what was waiting outside, a dinner with a Spanish air that would bring us a little closer to the country where I was born, and not at all. We went to celebrate 2 years of marriage, and the truth is that we will always have a thorn in our side. Below I describe what, in my opinion, was the experience we had. - Food: From my point of view, the best way to describe it is: Cuisine INSPIRED by Spanish cuisine quality is not bad, it could be much worse, but it is still inspired. - Dinner: it was a variety of tapas, curiosity, the table was filled with everything we had ordered in about 5 minutes. To highlight the ham croquettes, the truth is that they were good. If I had to compare them with a bar in Spain I would describe them as above average, but they dont taste like homemade. The worst part was that we wanted to order a board of my beloved fuet accompanied by Manchego cheese. The cheese was not bad, the fuet... anyway. We pay a lot for something that is not worth it (for me). - Atmosphere: the restaurant is nice, but (this depends on taste of course) I expected at least Spanish music. Be careful, this is my opinion, I think it would give it a little more charm. Recommendation: inside it is nice but a lot of noise, TERRACE if what you are looking for is to have a conversation. OVERALL: If you are looking for authentic Spanish food in Dallas, there are better options. If what you are looking for is to snack on something inspired by Spanish cuisine, and of good quality, it is still a good option.

I came for my two year wedding anniversary since we ve just moved back to the US from Spain and we saw this was one of the few Spanish restaurants in Dallas. This definitely isn t the place to celebrate a special occasion - we should have realized, but there are much better options in Dallas that will make you feel valued. Apart from that, the vibe and set up had nothing to do with Spain - we were surprised to also learn that no one in management was from Spain which was disappointing as we were hoping for some authenticity. Finally, the food was alright. Better than other Spanish food we ve had in the US, but nowhere close to the taste in Spain. It also all came out within 3 minutes of ordering which leads us to believe it s not very fresh. The shrimp was our favorite and the fuet and manchego were our least favorite - very expensive and from the look of it didn t seem to be real fuet. Overall, a fine place to get a drink and a bite, but don t expect a Spanish experience.

Went here for dinner. The tapas were excellent. We had the swordfish, the salmón crudo, empanadas, focaccia snd croquetas. They were all a hit. My favorite was the salmon crudo. The paella was a total fail. The mussels in the paella tasted fishy, rice was seasoned with red sauce and it was sticky, no good. Sangria was excellent. The atmosphere was festive, great decor. The chicken thigh tapa was so good also.

It is just average, not recommending it. Croquetas were very salty, buñuelos weren t what should be (fluffy texture and different coat) , they were just like croquetas. Swordfish was not fully cooked. Charcuterie board pretty pricey for the amount offered ( 1 peace of cheese, 1 piece of sobrasada and few of fuet quite ridiculous) and bread is not included . Also missing tomato with the bread (very popular in Barcelona, Spain). Only offered plain oil to deep the bread. Is odd to find some Italian dishes as well mixed in the menu. If you are looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant , this one is not a good option. Barcelona name misleading for sure!!! Quality is average, friendly staff and laud environment. Terrible valet service!!! The worst

Went to Barcelona Wine Bar to celebrate a birthday and it lived up to the hype. So happy to have something this unique in Dallas now. The wait times are intense even with a reservation, but service, food, drinks made up for it. It s a louder restaurant with a lot of commotion, but the food is delicious. We got the Paella, a bunch of tapas, and charcuterie and every single item was 9/10 or above. Great for larger parties, maybe a little too loud for date night. Price was super reasonable for everything we got. With drinks, bottle of wine, and all food, came out to ~ $50/pp. Parking: Free valet parking

Cannot recommend this place enough! Our favs are the Aged Mahon, Jamin Mangalica, Gambas Al Ajillob (dip the warm bread in this olive oil goodness). Drink wise we had an assortment of wines starting with bubbles, white then transitioning to reds. Perfect date spot!
