Its a scary and lonely place being injured and facing big corporations and insurance companies with deep pockets that dont care much about you as a person, caring more about how much they can get away from paying you as little as they can. If you are reading reviews to find a one-of-a-kind law firm to represent you, look no more! I was one of the people who tried to initially settle my claim on my own, but was getting nowhere. I thought by being 100% honest and providing detailed medical records, there would be no problem proving my case and getting a fair settlement, boy was I wrong!! I suffered significant lower back injury and the other party s insurance refused to acknowledge it! They absolutely did not care that my life had been forever changed. I was days away from the two-year statute depressed and hopeless knowing they were not going to budge! Their settlement offer stood firm at much to nothing! I knew if I did not find an attorney to accept my case in such short notice, I had no choice but take it or lose it. I called around to multiple firms and was either told NO I had waited too long or if I was to get a pay out, their fee would likely take all of it leaving me with nothing. 5 stars doesnt begin to explain the level of empathy, hard-work, kindness, and intelligence of this firm. Dealing with a sexual harassment suit was the pinnacle of awful during my 2020 experience, but Damon Mathias was nothing but a saint in the midst of something so horrible. He listened to me with compassion, never made me feel uncomfortable or crazy, and was incredibly sensitive with me given the topic. During mediation he was firm, direct, and said what needed to be said so logically and respectfully, it was fantastic just to listen. I cannot give enough praise for this firm. Damon Mathis is someone that didnt tell what I should do. He guided me with different paths I could take. I was pushed or shoved. I had a lawyer prior to Mathis and it was Awful, noone would tell me anything except where to show up and treated me like I was a number so I was decided to fire them and look elsewhere. 5.0 star rating 2/14/2017 I had an accident and was injured. The retailers insurance company flat out refused to help me with my hospital visit.
