Sooo.... If the cover charge was $10 or $15, I would not have an issue. The cover charge on the weekend is $24 for women and $30 for men; is the reason I would not recommend. Keep in mind... the drinks are okay and the food is barely decent so is does not justify the price they are charging. In honesty, its not worth the price they are charging and the only reason people go is for the Instagram pics and its still a steep price to pay. Goto the Discovery District for a better downtown experience.

We went on a Monday so it would be more chill and it totally was. Sam the bartender was so nice and so were Ernesto and Ari. I m sure it gets busier and since it s a small pool I would absolutely recommend going on slower days or earlier in the day while the sun is still peak. Had a great time for my birthday 10/10

This is a really cool bar to hang out at during the day. What better way to stay cool in the summer heat than in a rooftop pool with a drink in hand. The food and drinks are great but there is very little free seating. Any seat with a table has some kind of minimum purchase, although you ll probably meet that minimum just after your first drink (roughly $25/seat). While the lounge chairs are free with no minimum, there are only a few and even with the small amount of people when we were there, they were all taken. Most of them were taken by people in the pool that didn t use them in the two hours we were there. I d say if you don t want a minimum charge for your seat be prepared to spend all of your time at the bar or in the pool. The servers definitely focused on those that payed a cover charge and rarely checked in with the rest of us. They were helpful when they checked in though. The bartenders are good and friendly as well. During the day the atmosphere was great and relaxing. I d expect a much crazier vibe in the evening though as they have DJs and advertised parties regularly. Also, the pizza was amazing, highly recommend the BBQ chicken! If you re looking for a relaxing pool with a bar during the day this is a great choice!

The worst experience ever, dirty tables and chairs, food was not good, we ordered bbq pizza which ended up to be cheese and ketchup pizza seriously!!! Drinks were really bad, we had to ask for plates and napkins and the waiter was shocked, like why would we need plates and napkins !!! We have our car to the valet since it s inside the Statler which is supposed to be a great hotel but unfortunately we had to wait another 20 minutes for the valet .. worst experience ever!!!!!

My family came here on a Tue early evening after my daughters graduation. We had a group of 8. The place only had about 3 guests. We walked in and felt very unwelcomed by the very young bartenders. It honestly felt like I walked into someone s living room I didn t know with the looks we received We asked if we could sit outside because it was chilly inside. The bar tender rudely said we would be required to spend $300 bottle service or drinks to sit in that area! With the rude welcoming we encountered we decided to leave. We would have easily spent $300+ with the price of the drinks however we chose to take our business elsewhere. I frequent this hotel for business and will not be returning to this establishment.

Fun place but very crowded. There were so many people in the pool they were literally bumping into each other. Just no and pretty gross. We went back later that evening and its a lot more laid back, probably due to the pool being closed in the evening. We asked the guy at the front how much it was to reserve a table and he said $200. Visited the place on Sunday night, after 12:30 am. The entrance fee was $30 a person, even though there was only an hour and a half left till the closing time. The website states the fee to be $15.(A $10 cover charge per person applies, Monday-Thursday and $15 per person applies Friday-Sunday.) Most part of the rooftop was out of reach, and it was separated by rope. There were no available tables, most of the tables were reserved even though no one had shown up there. The drinks were around 35$ for two people, and were ok, just regular mixed drinks in a small plastic cup. However they didn t have straws at all. Most of people were wearing pool and sport clothes even though the night dress-code was different.

Visited on a Friday evening and the Bar was in total disarray. If you re ordering food expect a minimum 45min wait and when we received our food it was cold and of poor quality. The bartender who served was frustrated and did not want to remove items we, for obvious reason, no longer wanted. We were served inadequate meals and then giving bare minimal service after as consequence. I advise to only order drinks at this establishment and nothing further.

I made a rsvp for 5 for a birthday cocktail at their bar. No where does it state on rsvp or when even called before hand to confirm that there is a miminum of $450 to sit on the rooftop. There was nobody there literally and then the hostess says its normally $750, but will give to us for $450 since it was not at capacity. I showed her rsvp, stating where is there a miminum and they should be more clear. I even called before hand and told her nothing was ever stated about a minimum. Her attitude was horrible, I thought it was shady and crooked. I will be reporting to the better business bureau. They need better management, disclosures stating fees, and better staff with less attitude.

I went to Waterproof not long ago and got a table with a bottle of Vodka, the sever brought it out and everything was good. A few minutes later my guest was pouring a drink and the manager for that night came up behind my guest and ripped the bottle out of his hand and said that the card declined which it did. HOWEVER, I showed the manager and the bouncer that was backing him up as if I was going to do anything the text message I received from Navy Federal Credit Union asking if I made this transaction and if so to rerun it. Shortly after my phone died, and the manager who suffers from severe short man syndrome (probably why he had the bouncer backing him up) told me he deals with people like me all the time. He would not let me charge my phone so I could pay the bill which is comical. He had the bouncer take my $500 Louis Vuitton wallet with all of my cards and ID and would not give it back. I wasn t going to start anything so I left the property and would call and to get it back in the morning. After calling for several days everyone told me they do not have any LV wallet, Credit Cards, or ID. Long story short they STOLE my belongings and probably took the wallet for themselves. Terrible terrible place.

This was the place to be at the Statler. I m sure it is bumping on weekends and all the time in the summer. We went off-season at night and enjoyed beautiful rooftop views. Although it was winter we felt comfortable while sitting at the bar. During the slow season, it is a great place to enjoy cocktails and watch the game. But the busy season is a totally different vibe, DJ and dancing. I m sure it could be very loud and crowded.

Went on NYE ,The igloo tables were not what I expected spent $500 plus for it and it came with a bottle I ordered patron they gave us a bottle I ve never seen before that was labeled patron. Inside the igloo it was freezing cold there was no food menu. We also invited a couple to sit in the igloo since it s for 4 ppl and a random security guard nearby tried to dictate who I could let in And even tried to say I didn t pay for the table. NYE was a human zoo I had to wait in line for a while to even be able to get in because they only had one iPad to check people in I reserved a table and confirmed with staff multiple times, specifically Erika but when I got there and they pretended like they had no idea what I was talking about and said all the tables were already sold out, but the tables were all practically empty outside The bathroom line was insane and people kept cutting Needless to say they need more staff and resources and training I stayed for half an hour, which was literally in the bathroom line and stepped outside for a moment, and then left so complete waste of my money and one of the worst New Year s Eve experiences ever

Shockingly bad waitress service. We couldn t get her attention, even though she walked passed us looking grumpy more than a dozen times. We then heard her complaining to the manager that everybody was ordering at the bar, when she never cleared our table which had 10 empty glasses or acknowledge us! The bar man was also a trainee, very slow, didn t understand or find the ingredients. But he was polite so it was forgivable. In general it felt like they were the B team on the Friday night A shift. We still had a good time and there is a great Irish bar around the corner which serves amazing scotch eggs and fish and chips, to compensate for all overpriced alcohol!

I searched on the Internet to find a place that was good for dancing as it was my 10th year anniversary.. everything pointed to this place as we were coming from Reunion Tower. I walked in and asked them where the dancing was and they said oh they ll do it somewhere but it won t be till later so we waited and waited and then finally about 945 I asked the manager when and where was the dancing going to be? They don t have any kind of dance floor or area? he said oh we start at 10 o clock I said OK because I really want to dance with my wife. We finally left about 1130 and still no dancing so I went to a place that was supposed to be great for dancing for my 10th year wedding anniversary and I didn t even get to dance with my wife one time very sad, the bartenders were kinda standoffish they weren t very friendly at all. They did their job fine but that s about it. If you re looking for a neat place to go this would be it but don t go here for the dancing as you will not get to. I should have went to the Star lounge.. it was my second choice.. I also paid $23 to reserve to get in the place come to find out we could ve just walked in and not spent any money on cover charge but they sure kept my money.. they make it sound as if you need reservations and have to spend the money, but it s really not necessary before 10 o clock..

This rooftop pool and nightclub was connected to the Statler hotel. The overall hotel itself had a great decor and created an encapsulating experience. I did not stay at the hotel but I did find it unique how there were 3 different bars within the building this one being on the roof with great views of Dallas. I visited on a weeknight with a large group. I ordered a Blue Hawaii cocktail, and it tasted up to my standards. The guest of honor had a reserved outdoor booth, and the group also had a bucket with some sparkling drink and an optional cranberry juice or pineapple juice complement. On a somewhat busy night, seating for large groups may be difficult. The views of portions of the downtown and North Dallas skyline were good. This establishment doesnt have food, so visitors should eat in advance.

If I could give this place 0 stars I WOULD! Service was a 0! Drinks were taking forever to be brought to us also drinks were also not mixed correctly for the $15 per drink. It was 1:40am when I placed a drink order only to get yelled at by security to exit the patio not only that but the waitress came back after 10 minutes forgetting our drink order causing me to ask for a refund. Not only that but friends and I rented out a cabana and when it came to paying the total, waitress ran the card through the system a total of 6+ times causing the card to be locked due to fraud before letting us authorize. We used a different card and same thing happened. They locked 2 of our cards, we even tried apple pay. I say they because staff was very unprofessional, manager had a smart mouth. Waterproof was super cute! They have valet which was so convenient. They have these cute vintage cars in the front that you can take pictures with. Then you go up to waterproof and the views are amazing. The vibes were just right! This Was The Worst Experience Ever from the entrance all the way to the exit. First, we wasn t greeted. We had to go get a server to serve us. While trying to get a server, the server/workers was in a huddle discussing who will be our servers. When we did get a server, it was stated by her that she was not suppose to serve us. Table was nasty and when asked her to clean it, she gave us a look as if she didn t want to do so. Fast forward we order a pitcher of margarita and it was served with NO ICE, no straws. No seats at the bar, all other seats and tables are reserved so you cant sit down anywhere even though most seats were empty.. Drinks are expensive despite being served in a plastic cup. $15 cover for the DJ to sit there and text. Waitresses never come around to the table, instead just stand around talking to each other. Bartenders are rude and will ignore you. Bartenders also have serious attitude when asked a question & will lie. They also don t have any of the menu items. I will note that the bouncer was very nice. Your better off taking a couple of pictures then going downstairs. There s much better bars in this hotel.

The perfect place for that Iconic photo. Few roof top bars in Downtown Dallas, give you the opportunity to take a truly Iconic photo, but Waterproof at the Statler offer s just that. I must admit the vibe is not for everyone, with limited seating, pricey drinks, and thumping sounds, it can be a bit much for some demographics, but those who enjoy a poolside party, with a private bubble cabana, and a younger demographic, will find Waterproof wonderful! Came here for a drink and some quick birthday pics around 8pm. No reservation, got in pretty easily probably because it was still early and my friend and I looked cute. The security and bouncers were helpful, bartender gave us a free shot. I was soo scared to come here because the reviews were soo bad but I had a different experience. Only gave it 4 stars cause the other customers seemed really snooty. The bar may be a little too exclusive for me. I like to go a little crazy sometimes.

I had very high expectations. Turns out the place is average. It has a great potential. The location and view is nice. Pool looks nice too. However, cocktail menu is very poor. Cocktails don t taste and look good. I usually get tons of photos for my IG. This time there was nothing to photograph. Drinks at Lazy Dog look more presentable They only have couple of choices for desserts. And they were lacking one of them on Valentine s Day. Couldve prepared better.. considering that you have a set amount that people are required to spend. Oh, food is pretty cheap. Shrimp scampi was delish. And waitress was very nice.

Reserved a snowglobe for 8 people, arrived and it was a clear rectangle tent. There were string lights that didnt work, water was dripping on our heads from the top of the tent, ordered 1 Appetizer of cheese and bread and that took an hour to show up. Saw our waitress 3 times organically in the 3 hours we were there. And they had a $500 minimum for all of that. Horrible experience. +1 star because we had entertainment from drunk guests across the pool who had a full blown fight/argument then got engaged 10 minutes later. Will not be returning to this bar.

Went here for a friend s birthday and it was very disappointing. first, we reserved an inside table and they gave us an outside table. second, the food took an hour and we were still missing an order. turns out they gave our food to a different table and didn t tell us. just had us continue waiting for food that wouldn t arrive. after another half hour everyone else was done eating, so we just wanted to leave and asked for the check. third, they don t do itemized receipts. how were we supposed to know if they charged us for two orders that we didn t get? plus they didn t come to check up on us after they dropped off the food. we had to find our server at the bar for our check. no apologies or accountability. will not be coming back here. do yourself a favor and spend your night at a better restaurant/bar.

A magnificent and elegant place on the 19th floor of the Statler Hotel, it has a privileged view of downtown Dallas. The atmosphere is pleasant and appropriate. It has an outdoor terrace with a pool and also a covered part inside. The food is good as are the drinks. Pleasant atmosphere, groups of couples and friends. There is a DJ who plays live music. The ideal is to go early to take nice photographs and take home a souvenir of the city. The service is cordial. The prices are high

The reason I m giving it two star is that I was so in shock that they were serving a super cheap well tequila; the brand Juarez tequila for being part of the Hilton group I think they should have a better quality liquor for their wells selection. A rooftop bar located in the downtown area. Once in the hotel lobby simply take the elevator and go to the last floor. Spectacular views of the city, chill music and a relaxed atmosphere. Outddor tables available which are covered. The negative point is the service, there were several bartenders just chilling out rather than making drinks and having us wait with a certain attitude. Itd be good to remind them that customers pay for their salaries.

Went there last night to check it out since reviews weren t great but the view seemed to be one of the best in town, the ambiance is nice, mostly the pool it s what makes this place special at night, other than that good view of the town, friendly staff but absolutely incompetent: my husband ordered a Dry Martini and that thing smelled so much like vermouth that we thought they had made the wrong cocktail! So my husband went to ask the bartender to please make him a DRY MARTINI ( again) and the bartender (annoyed) told him that a Dry Martini is made with a lot of dry vermouth so, little suggestion for the management team: please train your bartenders on basic traditional cocktails that anyone could order in the US! I understand that someone can be new at a job but hey! These are the bare basics! Additionally there was nothing but pizza to eat and drinks come in plastic cups for $17 Grey Goose so just make sure you don t go there for anything else other than the view and you ll be fine.

Absolutely terrible experience! The bartender was trying to serve us while incredibly drunk. She was swaying and mispronouncing words. I had to spell my name 3 times and even then they were trying to refuse me my own debit card. Another bartender tried to help the drunk brunette and she was absolutely rude. Be careful when you go up there. These people are scammers in broad day light. They will manipulate you and make you spend your hard end money far beyond your budget.. My husband and I reserved a table online at Waterproof Dallas but when we got there, they said they didnt get the reservation and asked us to wait while they got us a table. 30 mins later they took us to a side table and said we had to buy at least one bottle of Hennessy, $350, to be seated. Well the last time we were there, a bottle of Hennessy costed $300. When we asked the waiter why the sudden price increase, they said the night was full with people so they decided to bump up the price. Well, we were there already with friends from out of town, so we went along with the price increase. Throughout the night, the waitress kept pushing that we added another bottle and spend at least $500, but i told her we were good. Later, she brought a receipt of $660.22 for me to sign which I refused and I asked them to charge me what we had consumed ($350 for 1 bottle of Hennessy). They insisted we had to spend at least $500 (at this point i was not ready to give any tip because of all the manipulation) so i refused to sign the receipt and left. With this being the second time, I strongly believe this is a pattern with this business; intentionally letting down their online reservation so they could unscrupulously manipulate their clients to spend higher than budgeted, thinking they were drunk. The first time we were there, they had equally requested we buy at least a bottle of Hennessy for $300 to get a table which was okay, but then they turned around and brought 2 additional bottles at $300 each, when I asked them to take them back cause we didnt want them, the waitress had said my friend had ordered them and they could not take them back because they had already opened the bottles. My friend had insisted in their face she didnt order them but the waitress had our card and charged us anyway. We ended up spending $900 and I lost my friend because I did not believe her. Seeing the same manipulation happen the second time I went there makes me confirm that this is a pattern with business. They will manipulate you and make you spend money uselessly. Be very careful when you go there. There is nothing special there apart from the view which they already charge over $300 per bottle for that, yet they are still not satisfied.

Nice spot with lively music, very classy and spacious. A great view of Dallas from up here. Pool is pretty big. Although the music is house music with a mix of trance, the atmosphere is very calm on a Saturday night. Actually as the night grew, the music changed to a balanced mix of todays hits/hip-hop.

I picked this place for a first date. I booked a reservation. When I arrived there was no table ready at all and no service. Then, the bartender said that security told him I was too drunk to be served but I was incredibly sober. I had to argue for 15 minutes to be served a drink. Then they accused me of throwing up in the bathroom. We ended up going downstairs and ate at the tex mex place. Worst experience in the industry I have come across. I will make sure this is heard.

Views are a 9/10 - sunset especially is a great time to go. Scammers. I came here to celebrate my friend s bday. We spent nearly over $800 collectively and had the WORST experience. For starters, i asked them to put a happy birthday message on the sign that comes with the bottle .they didn t even bring out the sign. I literally watched them bring out a sign for everyone else there who ordered. #2 I ordered 2 drinks at the bar. The first drink was prompt, but I had to wait at an empty bar for 10 minutes with three available bartenders because ..well I won t assume. But regardless, I was already annoyed by this. #3 I left my tab open for those two drinks and a pizza, and left without the remembering to close out and grab my card. I called back that same day to see if I could come back and retrieve my card but the number for this place may as well be non-existent. It doesn t ring and goes straight to voicemail. I decided I d just drive down the next day and pick it up, but to my surprise, it was nowhere to be found. I had 4 people look for it where they normally keep their cards and where lost and found would be but nothing. I had an important event to be to in which I needed my card , but all the manager did was tell me there was nothing he could do and said I can t just make it appear then proceeded to laugh in my face about it with one of the bottle girls. I m convinced someone stole my card and pretended it went missing, or a bartender was being careless and gave MY card to someone else by accident. Management was a joke and absolutely no help whatsoever.

This place used to have a really fun vibe and rooftop experience. Idk what happened between now and 6 months ago but it s a totally different vibe. There wasn t a cover charge before and you used to be able to walk across the roof. Now everything is blocked off because they want to be more exclusive . I understand the reserved covered seating has always been for bottle service reservations, that s fine, but to completely ruin the whole experience is unacceptable. They just want your money now instead of having a good time. The music was way too loud. There wasn t that many people as before. I don t recommend anyone coming here.

$1000 for a cabana with wet seats! not only did the front door security or bouncer guy make the comment of you know it s $1000 right? after we said we already had reservations (so, yeah obviously we know the cost). the server / bottle girl mentioned the price several times and when I asked questions about cocktails or food she would always reply with yeah we can do that, you do know that the minimum you have to spend is $1000 on bottles though? like YES! we understand. We were reminded of the $1000 minimum tab at least 8 times in our time there. We were well dressed and had more than enough money to spend- it was a birthday celebration! (not to pull the race card but I didn t notice any white people getting questioned or reminded of the price this much) The downtown cocktail was good, and so was the pizza. Slow service, we had to ask for bottles and napkins multiple times before they came. At one point she dropped the champagne bottle and walked off. yes. We had to open our own bottle with no ice bucket. insane for the price. I did notify the hostess, she was a brunette in a cute boho hat, very understanding and accommodating. She gave us a new bottle girl who was awesome, but our party was basically over. The experience definitely did not live up to the instagram page expectations or the prices. My first experience here was 10/10 though, our server / bottle girl was named Claudila and her service was outstanding. she was so attentive and answered all our questions graciously and is the whole reason we came back. Very disappointing that she wasn t there. We will not be returning.
