Visited for my birthday on a weekday. Not much of a crowd which was great, wait wasn t log at all. Parking lot at this location is extremely small so anticipate limited parking. They did offer valet parking, employee advised he worked for tips. Our chef was Alberto. He worked extremely quick but also thorough and gave us a quite a show. The food was delicious. Fried rice is always a MUST along with the Shrimp Crunch Roll. I had the spicy hibachi chicken and it was delicious! Free dessert (ice cream) is provided for your birthday

Service was fairly good, until I had to wait 45 minutes to receive my food! People walked in after me and left before me I dont understand the problem. Not to mention wasn t checked on by not one employee. All I keep getting is it s almost ready it ll be out in 5 minutes yet I still didn t get my food! I won t be back to this location.

First of all, my family and I had a very unpleasant experience with the older valet man who works there. He takes his job way too seriously and needs to take a chill pill. There werent any signs or cones to help direct parking, and I did not appreciate him yelling at us. Also, we were pushed all the way to the back of the restaurant to a practically abandoned room where the A/C wasnt even working properly. The carpet in that room was gross with stains and looked like they didnt care about cleaning it. Our chef was very bland and acted as if he didnt seem to care to be there. Will not be coming back to this location ever again.

Unless you can park close to the restaurant I would be very careful!! Make sure you don t leave anything in your vehicle, because today our truck, along with several other cars in the parking lot, were broken into. There was broken glass all over the parking lot. We have been coming here for 28 years and have had so many wonderful memories. We don t feel like this area is safe anymore and will not be coming back.

Party of 17+ have been going to Dallas location every September for 28 years and this is the last time. Truck broken into in the parking lot, stolen gun, and Benihana manager accepts no responsibility to monitor their parking lot. No security, no cameras. Take your business elsewhere or you are on your own. SEVERAL cars were broken into today and broken glass was all over the parking lot. Customers are not a priority to them, prices have skyrocketed and they are not accommodating to large parties anymore.

This is my favorite Benihana in the DFW area. The atmosphere is great, it looks like the classic Benihanas I am used to with the Koi pond. The food is great, and the service is top notch. Parking: Parking is ok. Valet out front. Free lot across from restaurant you share with a hotel. Get kinda, keep your head on a swivel vibes though.

The space is a little small but it ensures that the atmosphere is not lost, the chef keeps you well entertained and the more you cooperate with his tricks, the more entertainment he will offer you. At least the two chefs Ive had have been equally pleasant, as has the waiter. I can say that it is not something you visit every time, but you can take home a good birthday memory.

I recently placed a carryout order at Benihana and was pleased with how my issue was resolved. Despite a delay in my order, the customer service was excellent. Crystal, the manager, was particularly helpful. Additionally, the young man at the to-go counter provided exceptional service, although his name escapes me at the moment. Overall, I was satisfied with my carryout experience at Benihana. The food was amazing, so please pass on my compliments to the chef as well.

This is ranked as the top 3 worst restaurant experiences Ive ever had, right along side a bad McDonalds or Taco Bell. We waited 40 minutes for a seat, and once we finally got seated, they took 25 minutes to get us drinks, and a total of 45 minutes sitting there before they brought a soup or salad. The food was subpar at best, and the service throughout was incredibly horrible. We should have just gone to In-n-Out for 1/5th the price and 1/10th the time.

Benihanas is the top shelf of the citys Japanese restaurant choices. It presents not just the food, which is delicious, but much of the Japanese culture as well. You get a visual feast even before you enter the venue, as youd be crossing a beautiful Japanese style bridge, built over a coy fish pond, complete with bamboo branches on the shore, and waterlilies growing in the pond. Ah, and of course the many coy fish swimming happily, to greet the guests walking on that bridge above the water. Once inside, the atmosphere is authentic Japanese, with works of art portraying scenes and the famous brush and ink Kanji writing. The next best thing to seeing that much of Japans culture and rich history, youd have to travel to Kyoto, and walk the hilly streets with wooden buildings from the Edo period. But even there, it would be difficult to find chefs who mastered their craft of cooking to perfection, even to the point of making the process a performance of skill and talent using utensils and food items to entertain their guests. Benihanas is a culinary and cultural experience! Parking: It is easy to park, and although there are limited spaces close to the bridge, there are more options available in the covered parking across the street. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. The chef even does a choo-choo train performance with steaming onion rings for the kids.

Decided to go there for dinner around 7:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. The parking lot wasn t full but they had the parking lot blocked off so you essentially are forced to valet or park across the street. Went in for dinner came back to see my truck was not only broken into as we had parked across the street with shattered glass along with many personal items were stolen. Christine the manager was awesome. She made us feel welcome from the time we entered to the time we left. And our server is the best server I have every seen. We never had to ask for anything. He kept our drinks full. He even cleared are used dishes away when we were finished with them. Now Geno t our cook he is a keeper I wish he could be our cook everytime we were there. But I no that would be hard to do. But he kept us entertained and it was interesting experience. Never a dull moment with him. He is a little more easy going than the other cooks. And maybe that is how come we were all comfortable with him. This has been the best time I have ever had at Benihana since I have been going there. We were just there on August 18 not so good that day. So we went back today and had the best time of our life. And we owe it all to 3 people Christine, And and Geno. I had to go back to the front to ask them to have them clean it. Then, there were gnats everywhere. So much so, that they had to move our table and there were still gnats flying around. We visited this restaurant because weve heard so much about it but the chicken wings were freezer burned (white discoloration on skin in certain spots) with a few feather still in tack, spicy chicken dumplings inside filling was disgusting ,wagyu burger bland ,shrimp tempura roll tasted oily and fishy. This is an exception to my usual experience at Benihana and I m never the one to leave bad reviews but here goes. First and foremost thank you to the waiter for doing such an awesome job. It felt like everyone around us that came after us started on their food way before our chef even approached us. The grill was full of rust a shown below so cleaning it took another 15-20 minutes. Once it was cleaned the performance was very mediocre and the chef messed up basically the whole time, which I don t care much for but it was important to my fiance. The rice was burnt and they had to bring me some from the back. The vegetables were barely cooked and raw. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The steak was very mediocre and the onions and mushrooms were served towards the end of the meal which is very unusual. I do appreciate the manager for comping my meal only to have sauce spilled on me while paying my bill by one of the workers there. Honestly just a horrible experience and I wish it was different as I have enjoyed countless experiences with Benihana.

Went in last weekend for my sister s birthday. Everything was going great until my son came back from the bathroom and said Dad, I just saw a worker leave a stall without washing their hands . I asked if he remembered who it was and he said he would if he saw him. On the way out, he saw the employee..hand rolling sushi at the sushi bar. Tried speaking to a manager but the host said they were busy so we left. Even if they have a separate wash station in back (my guess is that would be the excuse), the pure optics is disgusting.

First time at Benihana. Been meaning to go for a while but didnt have a chance. Had the worse server, unentertaining cooking, and not so great food. Server took our food incorrectly. When I tried to correct it, he became more defensive than wanting to fix his mistake. I ordered the Chateaubriand special, but that was not what he entered. He said it was OK because the price was the same?? I kept getting skipped on food distribution. My steak was melt on your mouth quality, but the taste was burnt and areas of imbalanced seasoning. Such a waste. Our cook did not speak or try to entertain. He was there to cook and nothing else. If it wasnt for the lady next to me, I wouldnt have realized he made a heart shaped fried rice and was making it beat. Our bill was little over $200 including tips. Anyway, not coming back. At least at this location. It will be a while before Id think about Benihana again. Truly disappointed.

First time here. Ordered online for a pickup: shrimp and chicken meal $38. Instructed the rep to please include yum yum sauces only. Go to pick up, young kids working the host area. Checked my bag there were no yum yum sauces. I asked and got one. Had to ask for additional because I did not want the other sauces that were in the bag. I Said thank you, and the little girl didn t even acknowledge. Asked another host why was the food broken into two separate containers, when it was for one person, and she did not know so she asked. Yum yum sauce was flavorless. Chicken was tasteless, w the exception of lemon juice. Shrimp were overcooked. Only thing remotely enjoyable was the fried rice. Will not be returning here. It is not worth the hype!

RC, the chef was AMAZINGLY funny and very entertaining. He had us laughing the whole time he cooked. I will go back and visit just because of him. The food was decent in freshness, and the taste was good. Its a little pricey, though. The hibachi rooms.were a little tight as each one had to grills. Otherwise, its worth trying.

Update: Almost a month later and a conversation with the manager of the establishment and Benihana has doubled down on their lack of customer service. Not only have I not received the followup communication that we were told we would receive. We didnt receive the gift certificates that were to be sent to us in accommodation of the way our bill was handled. Please dont worry, I wont be back and were definitely not recommending family and friends. Our party was given 2 menus. A holiday menu w higher prices and a regular menu w lower prices which was confusing. Additionally, the prices that we saw on the menu were not the prices we were charged. Guests in our party were served and charged for Hibachi appetizers that they did not order and were not aware of until the bill was totaled. The total on the bill did not include gratuity until the waitress came to hand calculate it. The food was great. The chef was wonderful but we were extremely gouged on our bill. Parking: You may have to park across the street from the restaurant.

I went in with my 10 year old son to give him the Benihana experience, and it didnt disappoint! Chef Geno and our server Benae were awesome! We had a fun table for a 3pm early dinner. Everyone was great to be around and laughed at my son and his amazement with hibachi style cooking. Ive been coming to the Banner Dr. location for 25 years, and the dining area still looks great. The bathrooms are clean, but the host stand was disorganized and a bit messy. The hosts seemed to be standing around talking to each other. I appreciate it when the hosts do little things like open the door, greet you, say goodbye, clean the glass doors, etc... no such luck here. The hosts werent really rude, but they werent friendly and inviting for sure. 5 stars on everything except for the hosts. I deducted a star on service for that. The door to a restaurant is the guests first impression, and the impression I got was that theyd rather be somewhere else. Benihana is still great after all these years, though! Kid-friendliness: Chef Geno made my sons day! He was funny, cool, and has the skill needed for his job! I hope Benihana management knows hes a guy they need to keep around and they recognize him for our great experience!
