4 of us arrived to celebrate a birthday. Atmosphere was cute. Our waiter was excellent but the food was an over priced disaster. appetizer was nice, paid extra for bread that was burnt. The side of wood fired veggies were charred to the point of being inedible. Pasta portions were very small. I feel I could have given my friend a better celebration elsewhere for the 400 bucks spent

I loved this place! Although the menu is not as varied as I thought, the food is delicious! I went for brunch with friends and I got a cappuccino + potatoes + sausages. The potatoes were 10/10 The deco is super cute but it was a little bit hot in the balcony. Our waiter was kind and very attentive with our requests. Remember to book prior reservation because it gets packed. Overall, I recommend this place!

Overall was underwhelming. However the service was good and our waiter was somewhat knowledgable. The very extensive, overpriced wine menu was served all in one glass. Prosecco, white and red wine was all served in the same style wine glass. Pet peeve of mine, especially in this caibur of a restaurant. And wine by the glass menu was extremely small, they were out of the one I wanted and the others were not great. Big disappointment there for us as we were hoping to try some wines before buying downstairs From the limited time street food menu: Lamb skewers: my first bite was nothing but fat. I bailed out, but my husband enjoyed them. Trumpet mushroom skewers were ok but not served w/ any bread like the lamb skewers. Disappointed. Our table was very wobbly which is just super annoying. Entrees: i had the squash blossom ravioli which was fine and a good sized portion. Partner had the Ragu which was small but delicious. Atmosphere was loud, as music was loud and dance/club style music. Odd choice as we specifically came upstairs bc downstairs seemed quite loud. Decor felt cheesy. Bill was over $200 which just did not fit the experience at all. I will stick to grabbing food / wine in the market downstairs for a fraction of the price. Also, they asked if it was a special occasion when we checked in w/ hostess and i told them a birthday, but nothing, nada was done, so dont ask, if you dont care.

Terra is a great spot for something casual like spritzes and snacks with the girls or for a special occasion. My boyfriend and I came here for our 3-year anniversary and it was so lovely. The food can be a bit pricey (but not unreasonable), but very worth it because is it delicious and so well-presented & prepared. They have a TON of different spritz options on their menu outside of the classic Aperol & Hugo (which are still both so good). The have a nice wine menu too. We had the grilled seafood for 2 and it was to die for. The service was great and they made sure we had a special experience for our anniversary. Coming here casually is great too. It s a regular drink/brunch spot for me and my friends. The ambience is unbeatable too. Truly cannot believe this is inside of a mall in Texas lol.

This is the typical overpriced Dallas experience. 3 drinks, appetizer and 2 entrees for $150. Sat in patio, which was hotter than hell. Appetizer - 3 pieces of prosciutto, 3 bites of mozzarella, 5 olives and 2 pieces of bread $25. Entree barely a slice of salsiccia and my friend 1/2 cup of ragù. In Italy they would laugh at this (lived there for 14 years). Entrees were scarce. Will never come back and would never recommend.

Everything was excellent except for the music, which was loud and for a younger taste (the 20-30 year olds that want to party with friends). Kinda scares away the more sophisticated older crowd. But I think their intention is to attract the single yuppie type clientele. Otherwise everything was really good. Especially the market downstairs. Good place to take job interviewees out to.

<seafood not fresh>I had Terra in the California location and I loved it. Back to Dallas and brought my wife to NorthPark location and ordered seafood plate. The food was so-so and the prawn was not fresh and taste mushy. The manager came and said it supposed to eat with shell and prawn supposed to taste like that. We did get a free pasta and it did not taste good at all. Was going to ask the manager to take the shrimp portion out but she refused. Typically the manager would have a discount on that. Very disappointed .

Updated Review from Summer 2024: Our group recently went to Terra at Eataly Dallas in NorthPark Mall for a birthday celebration dinner. The hostess on the first floor greeted us with glasses of Prosecco and we took pictures by the cute floral sign. Following this, we went to the restaurant on the upper level (you can use the elevator or stairs) where a second host greeted us to take us to our table. They do a wonderful job decorating the place to make the atmosphere feel elegant. I believe they change some of the decor seasonally like they do with the menu. Overall, we enjoyed the experience but we did not like that we waited almost 10 minutes for the server to greet us or the fact that you pay for the bread and dipping sauce (oil and vinegar). Of course, I still very much recommend Terra at Eataly Dallas in NorthPark Mall for brunch and dinner! Original Review from Two Years Ago: My family recently ate brunch at Terra Eataly in NorthPark Center and we really enjoyed our entire experience! The food tastes phenomenal. I look forward to going back for dinner!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Terra, and it was nothing short of amazing. The Italian-inspired dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented, making it a memorable dining experience. My favorite was the avocado toast simple yet perfectly executed with fresh ingredients and a delightful twist that elevated the classic dish. Paired with their refreshing bubble drinks , it was the perfect combination for a relaxing brunch. The ambiance at Terra is warm and inviting , making it an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely meal. If you re looking for a brunch spot with great Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere, Terra is definitely worth a visit. ** Im an emoji Google local guide in DFW areas if you want more reviews, dont forget to follow my account. **

I went twice to this place and both times the food is terrible except the potato sides. And even for those they don t have ketchup so bring your own. They had a tomato sauce, which is probably the worst tasting sauce. I have tasted at a restaurant. If you want to sell out this amount of money, you are much better off going to Via Triozzi lower Greenville if you really want some Italian food. The service is good, but what s the point if the food is this terrible and the prices are this high.

This place was way more expensive for only being a touch better than olive garden. And on top of that the food gave me food poisoning so I dont think Ill be coming back here again. I hate places that only look nice without putting in the work to have the food match. I dont like writing a bad review but if someone is actually looking for a nice restaurant this isnt it.

Update, Always great, consistent and reliable. Being a foodie though I would have appreciated a better presentation on Zucchini Blossoms Raviolo. A whole blossom chard or fried and a little more sauce. The grilled Calamari was melt in your mouth goodness as was the fresh Buratta. The NY strip was not the best quality with un-rendered fat & gristle. Service was great and the host staff super friendly and accommodating WOW. What a wonderful meal. GREAT service from Samuel. Incredible dishes from the summer menu. Every bite was perfect and flavorful Squid ink pasta could have been a tad more cooked and much hotter but the head on grilled shrimp was exceptional Nice wine list with exclusively Italian wines Parking: $9 Mall Valet available

Would have loved to sit on the patio but it was too hot. The service was good, our waiter was very attentive. I wish the brunch menu had more options so I got the chicken and it was so juicy and the salad was very fresh. My boyfriend go the steak and eggs and his steak was a little over cooked. The pasta here is delicious!! Get the rabbit-stuffed tiny ravioli (forgot what it s called). The sauce is creamy and so savory. Quite rare. Also, there was a gelato cart! The one bad thing about this place is how many plants they have indoors. But some people like that I guess. UPDATE (June 2024): Sadly, they have gotten rid of the bunny ravioli pasta a couple years ago . The ragu is (a distant) second best. But the bunny pasta is what had me driving over 30 min like every other weekend to this place. At least the gelato s still good!

I didn t find anything special about the drinks here although on paper they seemed adventurous and tasty. You can t go wrong w the wines they sell here, I did enjoy the white and red wines we ordered above all the others that were on the menu (our party ordered nearly every drink off the menu) But the food, ambiance and customer service here was incredible! Foccacia was amazing...very light and airy. Carpaccio was great. The Mezze Lune was the star of the show I absolutely LOVED the flavor of this dish. Branzino was cooked perfectly but overly salty. The tableside gelato was a nice touch. The service was painfully slow and pretty neglectful at points. (Didnt offer more beverages when they were clearly low and didnt check in with us once we had entrees. We had to get the servers attention multiple times during the meal. He also clearly forgot the foccacia we ordered at the beginning of the meal. If you asked anyone else for something they would tell you your server would be right over.) The beverages were good but not extraordinary and the bar service was very slow as well. The restaurant was very cute and if the service was a little better the atmosphere and food would save it. Unfortunately, the subpar service will make it difficult to return at that price point. I dont mind paying for great food but when the service doesnt remotely match the quality of ingredients its not worth it.

Saturday brunch menu was a little disappointing and prices were exorbitantly high and servings sizes small. There was no jelly or honey available in the restaurant for the bread. Our second son invited us for lunch. He made the reservation for us. I am so impressed how this Italian restaurant was transformed into an amazing garden and dining place. So cozy and peaceful. As per their restaurant information: Located on the third floor rooftop, Terra is inspired by earth and fire. The dining room centers around a wood-burning Italian grill, where our chefs cook seasonal raw ingredients over burning flames, allowing the simple flavors to shine. The food is fresh and delicious. Our server, Jacob is friendly and helpful. We plan to comeback and try other specials that Terra offers. Kid-friendliness: Family with kids will have a good time here.

My family and I had the delightful pleasure of dining at Terra Eataly s Dallas location, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of transporting. From the moment we stepped in, our waiter, Francesco, made us feel as though we had jetted off to Italy for the evening. His genuine warmth and impeccable service truly set the tone for a remarkable dining experience. It s not my first time visiting Eataly having been to several of their international locations but the Dallas venue holds a special charm, particularly because of the exceptional quality of the meat served. The flavors were robust and authentically Italian, a testament to the high standards Eataly maintains globally. Francesco s passion for Italian cuisine and culture was evident in every detail, from his expert recommendations to his engaging stories about Italy. His enthusiasm was contagious, making us feel truly welcome and appreciated. It was as if he brought a piece of Italy to us, creating a memorable evening we all cherished. I am already looking forward to returning to Eataly in Dallas, largely due to Francesco s outstanding service and the warm atmosphere he helped create. For anyone craving an authentic Italian experience without leaving Texas, I cannot recommend this place enough Francesco will make sure of it!

I saw a Facebook advertisement for Terras Easter brunch and immediately made reservations. There was promise of high quality caviar and freshly shucked oysters. No, there was no caviar. The oysters were so small, they shouldnt have been a highlight on the advertisement nor served at the buffet. I give this restaurant 3 stars because of the beautiful and airy patio dining area, flavorful porchetta, spaghetti carbonara, plump shrimp, and delicious pastries. Everything else left much to be desired. I would pay extra to eat elsewhere that promised and actually delivered on what was advertised.

As an east-coaster transplant into Texas, I am very picky about my Italian food. Terra, the top floor restaurant inside Eataly, came highly recommended. Boy am I glad I went there! Amazing ambiance of fresh plants, good lighting, and a quality layout where you can see (and smell) the wood-fired grill in the background. While the menu is not large, it is creative and certainly not the Americanized Italian dishes. No, this was much closer to North End of Boston Italian. Smaller servings, but not lacking in flavor at all. I had the Tonnarello allastice, which was comprised of housemade tonnarelli, smoked cherry tomatoes, basil, and a Half Maine Lobster! Covered in freshly shaved aged parmigiano reggiano, of course. The food was excellent, the wine list was small but mighty with great pan-italy options from tuscany chianti and brunello, to Piedemonte, and even under-appreiated areas like Puglia, Sardena, and Sicily. The service was on point. Very attentive and high attention to detail. Overall, a terrific experience. Im sure it gets packed on weekends and nights, so go early to truly experience Terra at its very best!

The prices are really high for the portion they serve. If the food was good, then I guess it would be worth it. However the food was just average. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The price isn t worth it. To really kill the experience was the fact we were told by many employees that there was $5 charge to cut cake. We brought cake for my niece s birthday. Needless to say that is not normal. But ok, it is only $5. When the bill came, it was not just $5 to cut the cake. It is $5/person to cut the cake. There were 5 of us so the restaurant charged us $25 to cut the cake. Needless to say they lost 5 customers for life. To charge $5/person to cut a cake that we brought says all you need to know about this place. Not worth it. Avoid this place.

Ordered the arrosticini which was good. The cranberry Negroni was good. The beetroot ginger beer vodka cocktail was okay.. They had stuffed the glass with so much ice that you couldn t drink from it without your nose touching the ice. Small things like this should be considered so it makes the experience exceptional for the guest. It seemed like the bartender was not experienced or really didn t care. For the price of the food and drinks, I would think there would be more quality in the service. The waiter was nice but not very attentive. Either because they were short staffed or didn t think we needed attention. The manager came by but she was just doing her rounds, and didn t make us feel special. It was our Anniversary dinner there. The host was very sweet and caring. But the Grigliatta di pesce was ugghh . The seafood didn t have much salt but the baby broccoli was drenched in salt. As soon as I arrived home, I had diarrhea and have been to the restroom 6 times in one hour. My husband also has diarrhea!! Thank you Terra for making our Anniversary so negatively memorable! Terra holds a special place in our hearts, so we decided to visit it for our anniversary and reminisce about our chance encounter in New York. This time, we wanted a different experience, so we chose Fornell Pugliese, a Brazilian steakhouse with a unique twist - no waiting for the meat to be served. Let me tell you, the spiral sausage was absolutely delicious, the chicken was quite satisfying, although the other cuts of meat could have been more refined. The chard broccolini had a delightful flavor, and the bread added a satisfying crunch. As for the potato, it could have been a bit more tender, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience as it was presented. The bottle of Prosecco helped! We love the place as a whole we will be back to try again! Parking: When in doubt valet but get it validated before you walk out

The atmosphere is nice, the only driving factor for the place. Waitress was upselling all night. If Im spending 50 on a plate, I dont want to hear how hungry Ill still be after. The food was only ok. It would equate to a slightly better olive garden but I would base that on the fresh ingredients. Mine was bland and lacking while my partners was overcooked and chewy, but it looked pretty. All in all I spent 150 for an ok spaghetti night out

I have never written a review for a place nor have I ever had to complain about my dinning experience somewhere. But I have to write a review on this place as it was so memorably bad. This place absolutely did not meet any of our expectations, every dish was below average and overpriced. One pasta dish was completely inedible. When we explained our dissatisfaction with the waitress they spoke with the manager who then spoke with us. He seemed to not care at all and thought we were being dramatic about our opinions of the food but apologized. Then proceeded to give us our check for full price and did not even discount the dishes we did not touch. Very disappointing coming from a place with over 4 stars and being recommended on several food websites. Listen to the poor reviews, they were not wrong.

Ecclectic space with lots of greenery. Calming but upbeat ambiance with a very chill bangin soundtrack as a plus. Menu options are pretty creative. The peppers a tad blande and a little mushy for my taste. Some of the freshest, best crudo Ive had. The chicken had a very nice smoked taste to where it almost tasted like ham in a very good way. Tableside gelato was pretty dope. How could you not appreciate that? Andvthe waygu steak was tender and flavored beautifully. Service was top notch. Extremely attentive staff with superb menu knowledge. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, we ran into few issues in this restaurant. The place is nice and inviting. However, I honestly think Management needs to fix the following. Chiken was not properly cooked. The plates are not generous at all, considering the high prices here. And as if this was not enough, the waiter, decided to bring and sneakly open 6 fancy big bottles of water in such a manner that make us felt abused, since he never asked anyone at the table if we wanted to order bottled water. It is obvious he took advantage of our group, who was focused on the family conversations. It was until we looked at the bill that we realized no one had ordered the 6 bottles of water ($42 for unordered items) So, not only was this very disappointing experience, but we were left with a big bill and dissatisfied. We had to basically look for another restaurant. I will never recommend this place.

The music was over the top loud and felt like it got louder as we sat there trying to hear one another talk. I do not recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing meal. If you are suited for loud disco music while you eat then you will fit right in. Lastly, way way overpriced! Could have gone somewhere else much more sophisticated for that price. We will not be coming back.

The food and atmosphere are great, so many great dishes and the bread is insanely good and wine selection and cocktails are fabulous. But I feel we ve been to Terra enough times now that we can comment on how not great the service is. There s this tall guy that we ve had a few times and he s bad really bad. 10min wait just to get a menu one time, long wait for water. I got up and got my own cutlery and side plates myself on two separate occasions. And if you flag another server asking for help they say I ll notify you re server and they never do. The hostess on our last visit had a bit of an attitude - we booked and the restaurant was pretty much empty at the time but she sits us right beside the main server door to back of house. We are the only people on that area and My friend asked if it was possible for us to sit somewhere else and she replied do whatever you want . I think once they get good servers then the restaurant will be great again.

Eataly!!!! Small portions but very delicious , Now lets get into my experience. We Went for my daughters 18th birthday. We have been wanting to go here Since they opened, I finally made reservation sadly I was kind of a disappointment. when we arrived the restaurant was not packed. We were seated without a view, I was informed that there was a cake cutting fee. for $5 NP, however, the 1 & 8 was lit before it was brought to the table therefore my daughter was not able to blow it out, there was NO heads up that the cake was coming out :( Lastly my daughter forgot her doggy bag which Im sure many have done before when I went back for it a staff member was leaving with the bag of left over cake but her food was Gone when I stopped her the staff member tried to insult my by saying there was no food in the bag NOT, but where you going with the bag BUSTED !!!! SMH LOL Any hoot the manager offered to remake the dish so will see if they do. Sadly I cant get the moment back of my Baby Blowing out her candle I want to be furious, but Ive learned from this experience that most people do not have common sense and it is not so common. Also selfishness I do believe if it was there family they would be just as disappointed. Overall I spent over $400.00 and received mediocre serves. How many of you feel they should do more then just remaking my Daughters entrée?

Im a huge fan of Eataly and though it has always felt a tad overpriced, Terra is by far worst offender. I vastly prefer both the flavor and pricing of their downstairs kitchen. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the waitstaff was phenomenal, but this did not offset an almost 300% mark up (from the already marked up retail price...) for an $18 bottle of Moscato, the average food was and the average bread was. We ordered 4 different award winning cocktails that were left in the dust by the local chillis. I just dont get it. You want good value? Youre in the wrong place. You want an expensive but good experience? Go downstairs. You want high-end Italian? Try Monarch.

I am giving two stars simply because they charge for bread. An Italian restaurant that charges for bread, Its like going to a Mexican restaurant and being charged for chips and salsa. To put it into perspective, they charge $3 for a regular basket of bread and $10 for four slices of grilled sourdough. You read that right, now read it again to let it sink in. A dollop of Lardo (lard-animal fat) costs $8. A board with four slices of bread and a spoon of animal fat cost $18. Ive got to admit I didnt notice the price at first because I was with friends. Had I been by myself or with my partner, I would have bolted out. The food is decent but overpriced. This is Dallas, not a Michelin restaurant in NYC. Were in an eatalia, not a Joel robuchon. However, no matter what. An Italian restaurant should never, ever charge for bread. Its tacky. Incredibly. Charging $8 for lard? It felt very nickle and dime. We spend good money when we go out usually. But being charged for bread the price of a whole dish is insane. I dont know what corporate was thinking with this decision but I hope they realize this is an insult to Italian culture.

Pricey but we could do better! This is not what I would call a successful outing!!! We were sat at a table for 2 against the wall adjacent to a service station. My husbands back was 1 foot away from the cash register and the silverware and plates. Each time plates or silverware were needed, we get a jolt ftom the inconsiderate workers who come to do something at the station. The wall was filthy with sauce in different spots...talking about romantic evening...haha... In addition to that, we asked for bread and waiter informed us they dont have any because the shipment didnt make it (july 4th). Poor inventory management. They serve eggplant grilled with skin which adds bitterness. I returned it and asked for carrots. It took so long that we decided to ask for the check. We were uncomfortable and didnt ask to go out and punished...sort of. There are plenty of nice, clean and delicious restaurants in Dallas so we can do better than Terra, Eataly.

A few of the wait staff saw us but no one took the time to greet us or to say that the host would be with us shortly. For the kind of price theyre charging, I really expected better service at least. As for food, if this is what authentic Italian food tastes like, I think I will cross Italy off my list. We ordered the bread appetizer, pane otte. It was good but I dont think its worth the $10. The tagliatelle ragu was incredibly bland (and I like my food on the lighter side. I was so excited to come here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. However, the service and the food was below expectations. No one asked if we were celebrating anything. Our waiter was nice, but not super attentive. I really wanted the swordfish and they did not have it available. Their menu options are pretty small/limited. I ordered the Sea Bass instead and it was only okay. I had a Queen Bee for a drink and it was decent. We ended up paying $150+ for bread, two drinks, and two meats. When we left I forgot my leftovers and went back not even 5 minutes later to go and grab it. It was no longer on the table and when they went to find it, he said it was just in the back. However, when I opened the container, I noticed the one and only potato I had in there was missing and there were two bites taken out of the bread. They not only ate my leftovers after 5 mins, but still gave it back to me!!! That is disgusting. I had to throw it away since someone else contaminated my food. I was honestly expecting better service and food. My boyfriend and I left disappointed in the experience.
