La Stella Cucina Verace, an Italian restaurant, was phenomenal! I was in Dallas, TX, for a business conference and decided to take my mom somewhere lovely. She wanted Italian, and I found this gem. Japbraza, the owner (I know I butchered your name; apologies), greeted us and suggested a dessert wine that my mom would enjoy. She did enjoy it. Christian was our waiter, and he did a great job. The meatballs that Japbrazas mom made herself were fantastic. How does meat melt in your mouth? I dont know, but they were excellent. The bread, along with the spreads, wow! The lobster ravioli was magnificent. If you are in downtown Dallas, try La Stella. You will not be disappointed.

The first time I visited LaStella was for a corporate dinner a few months ago (perfect for a company events and business dinners, by the way). Since then, it s become my go-to spot. The service consistently exceeds expectations, the food is outstanding, and the live music adds a wonderful touch. I highly recommend visiting LaStella for an authentic Italian, boutique experience. It s an elegant venue with exceptional standards, perfect for special occasions. A quick tip, try to book reservation in advance, as it s a popular spot and the bar may be the only option left (though it offers full service). Five stars, without a doubt! Parking: Valet is available, as well as Hall art parking garage.

Sexist dress code. No bare arms (men only) . I get it you want to enforce a certain standard. The issue is this: when it s unequally applied to men and women, it s discrimination. Unfortunately I won t be dining here and can t recommend it until this sexist policy is removed. Re: owners comment Read the owners response on my review for yourself blatant sexism even in the response. Again, I do understand the spirit of what they re trying to achieve with a dress code, but you cannot ban certain things for one gender and allow them for another. Five, nay TEN, stars in every category! We accidentally reserved a table for a different night but they were able to accommodate us before an evening at the symphony, so already winning. Everything was extraordinary. Burrata con prosciutto do Parma e meloni, I cannoli siciliani, gli spaghetti Alessandra, gli agnolotti pizzocati, e il tiramisu. Server (Adriano) and Sommelier made us feel like the most important table in the place. Attentive, friendly, candid, and spot on recommendations. Each of our recommended wine pairings was perfect. Adriano quickly figured us out and tailored his service to our demeanor. Well done! Atmosphere is upscale without being snooty. Cuisine is flavorful and nuanced yet comforting and warming. Awesome spot, went for restaurant week and had amazing service. Meatballs 5/5, salad 5/5, fish was a little salty but i still finished it, it was super tasty 4.5/5. Only cons, for me at least, is the veal and the tiramisu. Tiramisu had this funky sour smell and taste, I shouldve tried the cannoli. But my wife and I had an amazing time, best service we ever had at a restaurant. Each time we went to the washroom, they folded our hankerchief and made sure we felt welcomed. High quality paper towles too. It be the little details that count and this restaurant got it with that!

Everything from start to finish was perfect! We celebrated a joint birthday dinner at La Stella. Amanda was attentive, personable, thoughtful and knowledgable. Richard (sommelier) was humorous and friendly and gave wonderful recommendations! We loved how we were all asked about allergies and also the time frame we had allotted for our dining experience. We never felt pressured on our dinner choices or rushed on our meal. The appetizer, entrees and desserts we chose or were recommended were outstanding! At the end, Amanda brought us 2 slices of their special 3 tiered birthday cake (key lime, vanilla and strawberry layers) with Swiss meringue buttercream frosting, a lit candle and a birthday card signed by the staff! It was one of the most perfect meals we all have ever had! Highly recommend!

Our 1st time visiting for our anniversary and it was amazing. We were presented with signed card from the staff which was a nice touch. Adriano our waiter was great and attentive. Each of the dishes he recommended were delicious. Great choices all around from the Waygu meatball antipasto to the Spaghetti Alessandra and finally the Cannoli for dolci. Went to this restaurant last night since they have good reviews. Appetizers were good and drinks we great as well. But main causes were not that good. Salty and less flavors. Here for my birthday and had the queen like experience . Our steward Adam ensured we spent the best 2 hours at the restaurant , patiently giving us the time to make choices , recommend suggestions and was extremely polite . The manager here , James ensured we have enough custom made vegetarian options to enjoy from the menu . Adding to the experience was the live music playing some of my favorites. Overall highly recommend this place .

Dallas Restaurant week! We had a great treat trying the 4 course restaurant week menu but we started with delicious bread and toppings. The red was a spicy pepper, the white is truffle and the green is pesto. Each one was so flavorful. The wine is Donna Fuggata from Palermo Sicily. If you know me you know I love wine and this is a vineyard I was lucky enough to visit in 2009 bonus it was Dolce &Gabanna (insert Devil wears Prada can you spell Gabanna) Our first course was the La Stella Polpetta Della Nonna wagu beef meatballs, red gravy ( that s a Louisiana reference) and grilled bread. I didn t get a picture of them we just devoured it. We had a group of 6 and tried a variety of items. The service was top notch and we didn t feel rushed it was such a nice vibe and I loved the live piano playing and singing. Ask for Adam as your waiter he was funny and gave great advice. He is also from Louisiana so we bonded immediately. My mom had Gnocchi Portofino which is home made ricotta dumpling and pesto with green beans. So good! 2nd course we absolutely loved was the Agnolotti Pizzicati Veal ossobuco filling, sage butter, veal reduction . It was my favorite. The Pappardelle Stellari Wagyu beef Bolognese ragu ricotta is luscious. The Ossobuco Milanese is Slow braised veal ossobuco over risotto milanese every bite was so decadent and creamy. The 3rd course four the restaurant week menu was Filetto alla Pizzaiola 8 oz filet, grilled heirloom tomato, marinara sauce, oregano. I went with Medium Rare and it literally melts in your mouth. Finally we all tried a bite of the perfectly displayed Tiramisu Savoiardo Mascarpone mousse, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, dark cocoa. Every single thing from the entry to the service and each bite of food was so fabulous. If you want to have a real Italian meal uptown I would highly recommend La Stella.

I ve visited this restaurant twice. Both times I received exceptional service from the time I walked in until the time I left. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. Most of our food was really good. However, both times I ve gone a couple of items have lacked flavor. They were a bit on the bland side. With the exception of those dishes everything else was very flavorful and the portions are a nice size for the price. I highly recommend the U Purp!

Good location, out of the bustle. Valet worked well. Seated immediately (had a reservation). Italian/French ambiance with a romantic- 1/1 atmosphere. Food was Excellent! Amanda was our server for our anniversary. She was incredible! We had a pleasant drink beforehand. She made great recommendations for our meal. The food was great. Atmosphere was lovely. When we noticed the musical guest was doing Disney songs and she mentioned he enjoys playing Disney songs. She asked us what song we liked and then she asked the performer and he played it! She also brought out a lovely dessert for us. It was a very nice way to spend the evening. We will gladly return because of her service alone!

We were visiting Dallas and this was a disappointment honestly. Surprised at the very high reviews. The only good dish was antipesti - the chargrilled octopus. I ordered as a main the slow cooked veal on risotto and I did not even finish it. Ate half and that was it. The veal was not tender at all, and risotto was also not the best. For a $60 main I expected something amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case. My wife got the Pappardelle stellari and it was so salty. With every bite you need to drink something. Terrible mains overall.

Food was great but music was so loud my wif suffered permanent hearing loss. We asked for the music to be turned down 3 times. The waitress stated she had to holler at the patrons. My wife was trying to be gracious because we were with another couple but 2 hrs of music that was over 100 decibels and probably closer to 110caused pain and almost complete deafness in 1 ear and 30% in the other. Yes I know decibel volume because I fly and race cars. I measure them frequently.I don t know why restaurants think we go for loud music. We go to restaurants for fellowship and maybe background music. We loved the food and service but will not go back.
