Everything was exceptional. My only recommendation is to have a phone line upfront at the restaurant to speak with someone should an issue arrive. My daughter left her purse and we tried to call to speak with someone but they don t have a direct line to the restaurant. They were able to put it up front so we really appreciate them holding it for us until we returned.

As someone who lives in Vegas I have experience with good food and service. The service we received was good from our servers based on what they can do from policy. One policy is combing checks for guests. This is obviously a Dallas thing because Vegas doesnt combine checks in fine dining and its lazy. This place is one of those places that has the look and high prices, but food and policy didnt really meet that quality being charged. One of the ladies at our table didnt get her food until we were done eating and they didnt even offer to comp her drink without a request. I ordered the Branzino and it was full of bones. The server kindly brought it to be deboned and after I started eating again there were still bones. For $135 and eating fish in a dimmly lit room a deboned fish should most definitely not have bones. Honestly it was the worst Branzino I have eaten on top of being filled with tiny bones. Catch in California and Vegas definitely have better chefs cooking Branzino. Maybe I am too picky, but the food did not match the quality of what is expected of fine dining and was a disappointment. The best thing of this entire place was our servers Jonathan and Ki. They both were attentive and listened to any requests, like the fish being deboned. I really appreciate their service. I wouldnt recommend this place for Branzino, but I am sure has something thats good. I feel like this is a place that has a facade of high end and definitely will be good for someone that hasnt frequented fine dining to know how dishes should be presented & taste.

Service was excellent. Loved the vibe. Sizzling pancetta was a 10, Caprese was a 10, the spicy rigatoni vodka was excellent, the Dover picata was a show stopper absolutely amazing. The ribeye was a huge disappointment. We were at the Dallas location and in Texas, we know how to do steaks. You d be hard pressed to find bad steak but Carbone hit that on the head. It was downright gross. We politely ate some of the steak. When our server asked if we d like to box it, more than one person quickly said NO. Good steak is easy. Amazing steak is tougher. Bad steak is downright criminal. Please work on your steak.

My wife and I came out for her birthday dinner in the evening. When I say I ve never in my life experienced this kind of service anywhere! KEN & HUGO were exceptional at making the experience so memorable! And that goes without even mentioning the food itself! The system operates as a three course meal, First meal, transitional meal, and final course! Make space and don t overindulge. Enjoy the flavor and pace yourself! We had Cesar salad, spice rigotoni, and lastly the chicken Parmesano!!! You must try this place out for a special occasion 100%

A comfortable, warm and atmospheric restaurant that I like it. This red wine in pic-1 is worth recommending , light body but the taste is delicate and sweet. Basically, all the food is good but the Ribeye Diana is not as delicious as expected. Appreciate that Edward s service is really good, which makes the dining experience even better.. will be back soon though

My husband and I, along side two couple friends went here to celebrate my birthday. After seeing the reviews, I braced myself for the worst! Boy, was I mistaken. The food was good and the service was great! Granted, we were a little late for our reservation and waited over 30 minutes to get seated. But once seated, it was all good from there. We had no room for dessert but our server graciously offered me the lemon cheesecake to take home amd celebrate. The next morning when I had the cheesecake, I almost went back there just for the cheesecake...the best one Ive had so far.

Our server (who looked like Steph Curry) and the food were excellent, however, we had a poor experience with the manager. After ordering appetizers, food, and 3 drinks each for our table of 4, we were enjoying each others company while waiting for our Uber. Within 5 minutes of finishing our last drink, the bald manager had the audacity to come up to us to ask us to leave because the next reservation was waiting on our table. Had it been 30 plus minutes, that would have been understandable. We tip very well (more than 20%) and I will not frequent a place where I spend $30+ per entree and $18+ per drink for a manager to ask me to leave because I don t leave as soon as I pay.

Our server was phenomenal and he went above and beyond. The lobster ravioli was delicious, as was the vodka rigatoni, and the tortellini ragu. The parm and bread were perfect. 10/10 recommend the caprese. We will be back again to try other items in the future.

Four of us absolutely loved dining here! The moment we stepped out of the car the experience began. From the valets to the hostesses, our Captain server to all the servers, the sommelier to the manager, we cannot say enough wonderful things. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start while we snacked on the delicious house made breads, a bit of spicy cauliflower, fennel salami and aged Parmesan sipping probably the best lemon drop martinis we have ever tasted. The table side prepared Cesar was excellent, Romain was cold and crispy, the croutons had a great flavor and the anchovies were fresh. For our main course we shared the spicy rigatoni with meatballs, tortellini and lobster ravioli. All three were prepared perfectly. Plenty of lobster inside the ravioli and chunks in the sauce. The sauce on the tortellini was delicious and the spicy rigatoni sauce was just spicy enough. All three pastas were excellent. For dessert we shared the tiramisu. I highly recommend this for dessert, but all the desserts offered looked amazing. I grew up in a big Italian family spending most my time in the kitchens of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and then enjoying great foods around the dining room table. This restaurant really made me feel like home. We cannot wait to return to Dallas and visit Carbone s again.

Came with a friend last night for the first time & got very sick when I got home. Food was actually very good but overpriced & my friend and I both got sick and involuntary colon cleanses. Low review because of getting sick & the door was intentionally locked at 10:15 pm and we had to wait for someone to exit the restaurant in order to enter/service was slow for how empty the restaurant is. Also, there is no phone number to call if you get lost.

Went to Carbone for the first time tonight, had an early reservation. First impression when you walk in - it was very chaotic, there isn t a formal waiting room just sorta a free-for-all. Thankfully, since our time was so early , we were seated punctually - but I can see how later in the evening would be challenging. We were seated in the main room which wasn t nearly as moody and cozy as the side dining areas. Service felt rushed at first, you had to place your whole order at once and they kept taking our plates away. We joked that we d be out in 15 mins. Once we got our appetizers, fortunately, they slowed their roll. All that aside, the food was incredible - spicy rigatoni lives up to the hype and the chopped salad was amazing. There is a good wine list and my wife had a nice selection of mock tails to choose from. Parking was either valet or surface lot (available outside M-F work hours). Will return.

Our party of 8 loved the food! Spicy rigatoni forever!!! Great setting too! The negative reviews seem to focus on the maître d desk and the high prices, and I know that both are a challenge, but you are having a great meal at a great venue. Be sure to show up on time and know this is pricey Italian. Food is a 5/5. Server 5/5. Ambulance 5/5. Reception desk 1/5. Try harder. Hence the current 3.9 average rating on Google. Ouch. For $100+, hire nice folks up front. Train them to be kind to customers.

This was our first time to try Carbone and all 6 of us agreed we will not be going back. We had tried to go in the past and could never get a reservation; however, after our experience I now know why you can get a reservation for most any night, and also why they currently have 3.9 stars. I also find it interesting that they dont even care enough to respond to negative ratings. Very pretentious. Everything on the menu is WAY OVERPRICED for the portion sizes and quality of the food. They tell you it is family style however each food item was only enough for one person. The upsell by the waitress was beyond uncomfortable. She pushed for each of us to order wine/cocktail, an appetizer, salad, pasta, main entree, and a side dish. It took a long time between courses to get our food and it was not busy at all. The small wooden chair was extremely uncomfortable for a 2.5 hour experience. Since we were celebrating a birthday we each decided to order dessert. Each one was $25, obviously our mistake for not asking in advance but be aware. Overall, we felt taken advantage of. The value for what we received vs. what we spent was not anywhere close to equal. Im guessing it will only be a matter of time before this Dallas location goes out of business. If you read the reviews you will get the sense that they just dont care. Spend your money at one of the many other restaurants in Dallas who truly care about their customers and the value they provide.

We had a very pleasant experience at Carbone celebrating a birthday. We had a 6pm reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, but I think an earlier dinner res on a Saturday helped us in terms of timeliness and service. Bread and antipasti were great and generous, as were our drinks. Our party of three split a caesar salad, a double order of rigatoni, and meatballs, with tiramisu for dessert. Everything was perfect - the rigatoni absolutely lived up to the hype, and we all left full. For me, Carbone is worth going to, especially for a special occasion. It really succeeds in bringing turn-of-the-century table service into the 21st century without feeling too stuffy and pretentious. The restaurant itself is beautiful too. Looking forward to going back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Carbone in Dallas for the first time, celebrating my early retirement. Until a friend mentioned it online, I was unaware that they had opened a location here. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional, marked by outstanding service and delectable cuisine. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Spicy Rigatoni, a popular favorite that even I, with a sensitive palate, thoroughly enjoyed. The evening began on a high note with an impressive assortment of complimentary starters, including three types of bread, a delightful cauliflower dish, and a salami plate. This immediate service set a positive tone for the rest of the evening. One standout item from the seasonal menu was the corn dish, featuring a tantalizing hint of truffle. Though it may sound simple, it was incredibly flavorful and left a lasting impression. I sincerely hope they make this a permanent addition to the menu. To conclude the meal, I highly recommend the lemon cheesecake for dessert. Unlike traditional dense cheesecakes, this version was light, fluffy, and utterly delicious. One thing I need to add - I pay close attention to the restrooms at the restaurants I dine at. I will not be back to an establishment whose bathroom grosses me out or looks like it hasnt been maintained. If the business puts care and effort into a bathroom, you can be sure theres even more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen. These got an A+ from me - even if you have to wait a while. I will always prefer private restrooms with a line, than being smooshed into a room with strangers. Overall, my visit to Carbone was delightful and memorable.

The food is exceptional, I highly recommend trying their Pasta , it is one of the best I have ever had. The ambiance is great, the interior is a little dark, making it hard for people to see who is on the other side, giving you a private experience. The staffs are very friendly and professional, they go through the menu with you and make sure you understand what is on the menu for the day. I promise if you go here you will keep going. I have been to this restaurant a couple times and my first two experiences were pretty good. The last time I was there however it was awful. We went in on a Tuesday night without a reservation so I understood that there may be a wait however we were seated right away. It was busy so it took the server a about 20 minutes to get to us. I have worked at high end steakhouses and understand that it is curtesy to come by and say Ill be with you in just a moment to make sure you are noticed, he did not do that. Whatever thats fine, when he finally came around, he didnt even introduce himself, instead he said what do you think, that should never be a greet. Then we waited avg for our pasta course and waited atleast 30 minutes for the next. Mind you, the order was placed with the pasta. We asked him to cancel it but then the plate appeared out of thin air, we still did not want it, at that point it is just the principle of things. The manager came out and when we let him know what happened, he asked us if we had a reservation to which I responded no. He said it takes a little bit of time with no reservation, which implies that apparently we cannot receive the same level of service or courtesy. In my opinion, if you seat me, I deserve equal service, if you are busy just let me know. I dont know if because I am young they disregarded me bc they thought I would not tip, but thats ridiculous.

We were very excited to try Carbone in Dallas as the location in NYC is always booked out. We made reservations for a Tuesday night. We walked in and were met by a rather unenthused front desk but fortunately, were sat down quickly. Our server was knowledgeable and personable. We opted to try one of their off-menu specials - Hamachi Crudo. We should ve level set our expectations as it is an Italian restaurant attempting to execute a Japanese fusion dish. The hamachi was drenched in oil, too salty, and fish cut too thick. The calamari is deep fried and then drenched in a butter sauce. It s a very greasy and heavy dish that only permits a couple bites. The spicy rigatoni was perfectly al dente but too salty. And nothing memorable about the fettucine funghi. To end the evening, the server gave us a verbal rundown of the 6 desserts, no printed dessert menu. So we didn t realize until after we received the bill we were charged $25 for a slice of mediocre cake. The best part of our meal was the complementary bread basket, meat and pickled cauliflower. Overall, Dallas Carbone fell short and missed the mark.

The food was not worth the hype. I did like the spicy rigatoni but that was about it. The area they sat us in for our anniversary dinner felt like a brunch area and was not romantic at all. We were surrounded by fake plants and the plates they served us had several chips in them. The bread was good but the drinks we ordered were disappointing. No salt on the margarita and it tastes more orange than anything. The martini olives did not have blue cheese either. I ordered the meatballs which tasted great but had a small bone chip. They did make this right though and our waiter was super friendly and kind. To finish our night at the valet, the kid bringing our truck around put it in reverse and not park, which pushed the other valet and almost hit my husband. While we laughed it off, I would not go back. The Tango Room next door is far more romantic and the high price is worth the amazing evening there.

Carbone in downtown Dallas is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is nothing short of amazing, with an authentic 1920s Italian theme that is impeccably done. Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown, the location adds to the overall charm and excitement of the experience. The food is simply delicious. I had the spicy rigatoni vodka, which is now my personal favorite and a must-try recommendation. Dont miss out on the bread for the table; it comes with a delightful assortment of different breads served with parmesan cheese perfect for sharing. I also enjoyed the mocktail Shirley Temple, which was surprisingly good. To top it all off, the cheesecake dessert was the highlight of the meal. I came to Carbone for dinner today, and the service we received was excellent! The food was exceptional too. My favorite dishes included the calamari, lobster ravioli, spicy rigatoni vodka, tortellini al ragu, and the chicken massimo. The chicken was very tender, and all of the pasta s had very creamy sauces that were savory. The calamari here is the best I ve had. It had a good amount of spice and came with a sauce that complimented it nicely. A double serving of pasta is a good size if you re with a party of 4-5 people. All of the dishes here are family style. The staff was attentive to us during our entire dinner which I appreciated. We had a great waiter! The dessert was phenomenal as well. Better off going to the Miami or New York location to experience the REAL carbone experience. Furthermore, our waiter was extremely rude. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Me and my girlfriend flew all the way from Toronto Ontario as we had a layover in Dallas last night, and decided to come eat at this establishment because we love carbone and we had it in New york and Miami and it was just stellar and great service. HOWEVER..... we had reservations at 9:30pm and we had a flight 5am in the morning, we waited until 11:30 to even get a table because my girlfriend had got fed up because the lady at the front was choosing who she wanted to get seated at a table... this was just unacceptable we got so sleepy and could not even enjoy the food. Worst restaurant experience of my life and I never ever write reviews but this was just crazy.

Feels like taking Olive Garden up one notch? Really confused if this is an experiment at mass produced fine dining? Our reservation was at 7pm on a Saturday. First impressions entering was wow this is beautiful, feels like we were just transported to another city. That quickly faded as there was no apparent structure at the front desk and an overflow of guests waiting to be seated. Unfortunately, this ended up being the theme for the night. After getting to the front desk, we were told we could wait in the lounge or bar area. The couches were packed with not so happy looking guests. So we chose the bar and ordered a couple drinks. The old fashioned was too sweet and the bartenders really didn t engage with the guests at all. We were seated around 7:30pm. Although it took about another 10 minutes for the bread options and vinegar based cauliflower to arrive, they were delicious so we geared up for a turn for the good. The menus are way too large for the small tables we re sitting at. The waiter seemed to rush off as quick as he can every time he stopped at our table. The bathroom line was long and there was liquid all over the floor and the trash can was overflowing. The chicken was undercooked at the bone. The spicy rigatoni was the best dish we tried but not sure why it also had the smallest portion. Also not sure why the soundtrack was entirely Motown. Doesn t match the vibe and atmosphere. Overall, I think this restaurant could benefit from a complete reset. They re trying to execute a mass plan with no apparent structure, or training for a restaurant of this size. It comes off as guests are just a number. But unfortunately feels as we re being taken advantage of for the reputation.

Had a reservation at 7:30 and was not seating for over an hour, as were all of these people. We left at 1.5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous that they expecting their patrons to be punctual, but they can t reciprocate. The front was so crowded that a lady in a wheelchair couldn t get through. I will be also reporting the management and establishment to the Dallas Fire Marshal as well. Super disappointing. Worst part is, the front staff just kept lying to us, saying that our table would only be another minute, and 30 min would pass by. I do not understand why they would t have been forthcoming with the long wait regardless of our reservation. Try Fachini s in highland park village for comparable food with much better service.

Went to Carbone last night, 8.15 reservation, the place was CHAOS, they had totally overbooked, guests were standing everywhere waiting 2hrs plus for their tables, many walking out, by 9.20 a manager said she could seat us in Vino which we reluctantly took, the table was in a busy walkway area, felt like a railway station, eventually some unfriendly wait staff poured some water, a while later an unhappy waiter came by, gave us menus, said he would be back, this was NOT the experience we were looking for, for our pre mothers Day celebration .We called The Charles & they were able to accommodate us at 9.45, THANKS TO THE CHARLES for saving our almost catastrophic evening, food, vibe, service amazing from start to finish. DONT BOTHER WITH PRETENTIOUS CARBONE, THEY TOTALLY DONT HAVE THEIR ACT TOGETHER, Dallas can do better, we dont need the likes of Carbone, go back to New York!!!!!

The Calamari Marco is the best calamari that I ve tried. It was super tender, lightly battered and the sauce that it came with was amazing. The Caesar alla ZZ is made table side which is fun to watch. Tortellini al Ragu and Spicy Rigatoni Vodka are great. Meatballs were delicious. Too full to get dessert and definitely had food leftover to take home and enjoy later.

Checked out Carbone while visiting Dallas, and had a great experience dining here. Ordered the Calamari Marco, Caesar alla ZZ, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Lobster Ravioli, and Tortellini al Ragu. There is bread service, and the server does provide several bread options where you can definitely get full off of it if thats all you eat. Had to stop myself from eating more bread because it was delicious! The good: The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka definitely lived up to the hype, and we ordered double portion of it. It was definitely the highlight of the meal, and would recommend it. Lobster Ravioli and Tortellini al Ragu are both delicious as well. Basically, cant go wrong with your choice of a pasta dish. The bad: Nothing, I enjoyed everything I ate. Overall, definitely will come back for more of the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka!

I ve been with my parents, and with friends, a total of about 10 visits between Carbone and Vino, and everything has been wonderfully consistent every visit. The service, the food, the drinks are all top notch. Price wise it is higher for Dallas, but worth it for a special occasion or if you just want some great Italian.

Our group of four had reservations for 7:30pm the night before the total solar eclipse. It was very busy since an extra 400,000 people were in town to witness the eclipse. We got there at 7pm and had drinks at the adjacent connected bar, Vino. Excellent drinks and atmosphere. Our table was not ready until 8pm, so when we were seated, we were comped a delicious appetizer. Our waitress Elena P graced us with her superb attention to detail and beautiful Belarusian accent. The food and service were marvelous. We started with an amazing assorted bread basket, then melted mozzarella over a bed of onion and bell pepper. Next up were pasta dishes of spiced rigatoni and tortellini meat marinara. So savory. After that we were presented with veal parmigiana served pizza style, cut into four sections for us four diners. Desserts were tiramisu, carrot cake, and hazelnut chocolate cake. All were sweet delights. The various wines all paired well with the dinner. Also Elena gave us limoncello, which accompanied the desserts so well. We will certainly return here next time we visit Dallas. I recommend you visit here; your tastebuds will thank you!

I want to start off saying that the bill was $300, so my standards were pretty high. I will be comparing this place to nick and Sam s, Perry s, etc The atmosphere itself was pretty nice, I think this is one reason people come here. It s a nice concept, however from the outside it looks like it s in an abandoned warehouse The service was good but nothing over the top. For what I paid, I ve had better service at nick and Sam s. Every restaurant I ve been too in this price range theyve cleaned the breadcrumbs on the table when they picked up the first set of plates. This detail was missed here. This service was slightly better than say Olive Garden. The food: I didn t like that the chicken was only offered on the bone. I love the chicken parmesan at drakes Hollywood and expected to get something similar here. ( I think they re owned by the same company but I m not sure ) I didn t. I will say the chicken was really juicy. The spicy rigatoni was good, I do recommend. The salad was expensive for no reason. $36 or something. The bread they gave use was good but nothing special. I would choose the rolls at Texas Roadhouse over them any day. We ordered the meatballs, they were good too. They charged us for every refill for our soft drinks. You would think a restaurant like this, they wouldn t have soda out of a can. Overall I d give it a 6/10. Will I come back, maybe for the pizza next door but not for carbone itself

It is difficult to write a negative review for a restaurant I used to love, but I cannot help it. Carbone used to be my go-to restaurant for a special occasions or any feel good meal, but after my last experience I have a hard time imagining going back. At our latest midweek reservation we waited 45 minutes to be seated for our reservation. We were directed to wait at the lounge and escorted to a lovely lounge table for 5 with our party of 6. We sat and stood patiently for drink service for roughly 5-10 minutes before seeking drinks ourselves from the bartender. After inquiring twice about our table and visiting the bar, on our own, we were seated in the patio area which they now list as inside service. Prior to the seating I was patient with the understanding of their limited number of indoor tables. After we were seated I realized that there really was no excuse the delay. They had simply become like the commercial airline service, overbooking to maximize revenue. We tried to move past the delay and enjoy the meal, but when we ordered our usual appetizers including the baratta and caviar my father said I dont know why I ever liked this dish, and my heart sank. Not only was the service subpar, the food was mediocre. Ultimately we asked for the remainder of the food to-go, paid the check, and left. In truth I am most sad for myself...another temporarily great restaurant that I loved, doomed to soon fail and close.

This review is long overdue. My bf booked a reservation for my birthday on a Tuesday night. When we got there, we were seated on the left-hand side of the restaurant (the more causal side.) After being seated, we asked the hostess if there were any tables available on the other side as we were celebrating my birthday. She didn t even look to check, she just said no. I m ngl, I was a little sad about this. Whole my bf went to the front to ask another hostess, the waiter asked how my night was going and I explained the situation to him. I spoke to the waiter and I just explained to him it s my birthday, we were trying to get seated on the right side. They told us that there wasn t anything available he says I know the somebody on that side, let me go speak with her and I ll be back. It took some time but just as we were about to order, the assistant manager came over (I feel so bad that I forgot her name.) She called us by name and she said, I heard y all looking for a table on the other side, follow me. We got this perfect secluded table in the back, it was just perfect for my birthday and she apologize for the confusion she sent us a welcome beverage. We also got a lemon cello for dessert on the house, and the service was exceptional. The only reason for the four stars is because the hostess was kind of rude. Even after I explained my story, she just kinda looked at us like OK, what do you want me to do about it, which I did not like. Other than that, the night was perfect, thank you to the assistant manager and to the waiters who helped me out to make sure that my birthday ended nicely.

My family & I have eaten here two times and weve enjoyed both the times we went. As for the food, we all share a Caesar salad and get our own main course, my personal favorite is the Vodka pasta. I would also recommend the calamari (fried squid and octopus) and the Parmesan Veal (only if youre into meat). Overall, the food is good. For some, its not worth the price but for me I cant find a better Caesar salad and pasta dish. My only gripe with this specific location (Ive been to the ones in Las Vegas and Miami as well) is with the atmosphere since sometimes were sat in the open area which has uncomfortable chairs and is just an annoying place to be sat with all the foot traffic. Overall, Id recommend if youre willing to spend some money or take your partner on a nice date. I think it has a lot to offer and is very popular for a reason.

However, the dim lighting in the restaurant, while adding to the ambiance, made it challenging to read the menu. We attempted to use our phone flashes to illuminate the menu and capture photos of the delicious dishes, but we were promptly informed that flashes werent allowed. Our first time at Carbone was extremely disappointing. We had a reservation at 9:45 pm for Valentine s Day and we didn t get our table until 11:30 pm. Our appetizer arrive past midnight and our 1st course around 1 am. We took the 2nd course and dessert to go as it was late for a week night. We understand that it is a busy day for most restaurants, but Carbone had to have been seriously overbooked to be running this behind. Especially considering that they had a predetermined menu and we had to pay upfront ($165 per person), not including gratuity, to secure the reservation. If it hadn t been the case, we would have left the minute we realize there was a line outside the building for reservations. The staff remained professional, the food was good and the manager comped our drinks but the fact that we waited two hours in line in the lobby for a reservation ruined our night. Ahh... Carbone... the famed Italian restaurant that people seem to love. Well, we went there in a group on Thursday and I would just say that the spicy rigatoni was very good, their angel hair was somewhat bland; and both of them had no protein and were fairly expensive for what we got. So we paid about $60 or so for $2 worth of pasta. The pork chop was decent, but not amazing and one of the chicken dishes was decent but again... nothing great. With all of that said; the food was good, but unimpressive especially for the prices they charge. The worst part? Our waitress.. I dont remember her name, but she had short hair. If you get her, maybe request a different one. The place was less than 50% filled and maybe a little more by the end of our meal, but she wouldnt stop pestering us to order while we were talking. She was watching us enjoy our drinks and not reading the menus for maybe 15 to 20 minutes, but she came by 6 or 7 times... It was about every 3 minutes. At the end of the meal, she dropped off the check, then we were finishing up our drinks and she even came by with it printed out a second time to give to us as a reminder to Get the hell out I guess. We were all very shocked, because I think we probably spent 90 minutes in there total, so it wasnt too long especially for the $120 tip she received. I cant imagine anyone coming back here a second time, but ok. Im sure people have different experiences and many people have lower expectations and less refined taste buds. I also have had several friends who just say its mediocre and over-priced for what you get; so I was warned a bit before going there. On the positive note; they make good espresso martinis and old fashions; plus at the beginning when you arrive you receive a bread basket and cheese. The 2 small slices of garlic bread were good. :)

Food was just ok, didnt have many options and was highly overpriced. I just wanted something with a cream based sauce (alfredo).. they had nothing. Everything we ate was just ok, the baked clams meh, the pasta bland, the ceasar salad had no salt,! Simple fixes just use salt!!!! For the price your paying i shouldnt have to salt my food...the food was definitely nothing that I would return for. i was highly dissapointed, its definitely overhyped. The rainbow cookies were really good and the espresso martini was awesome.. the free bread, salami ,cheese etc were better than the actual meal. Service was extremely slow, it felt like a one hour dinner service was 3. Unneccsary! Julia our server was really, sweet positive energy and helpful.. but very slow to keep coming back to check in. (Olive garden has better dishes than this restaurant) definitely not returning back!

I came here for my birthday dinner because the NYC location is so highly regarded so when I saw a location opened in Dallas I wanted to try it out. The staff was great, valet opened the door upon entering, our reservation was for 7:30pm but the hostess was able to get us a table at 6:00pm since we arrived in Dallas way earlier than I expected and the waiter was friendly. But I go to different restaurants for the food, anything else is just additional, and the food here was one of the worst meals Ive ever had at any restaurant. First they brought out bread, a slice of cheese and I think prosciutto and some cauliflower in marinade. The bread/prosciutto/cheese was all basic nothing special, and the cauliflower which was the one different looking dish was drowning in vinegar I burned my nose just eating a small piece so that went uneaten. Then the main course we got the tortilini with truffle and the fettuccine fungi and the tortellini literally came with 5 pieces there was more truffle on the plate than tortellini. And the fettuccine fungi was WAY too saltly it tasted like they took a spoonful of salt and just poured it into the sauce before they mixed in the noodles. For an Italian restaurant the one thing you should be getting right is the pasta. It was so bad, very embarrassing for an Italian restaurant. Then I ordered dessert and it was twice the size of the main course the pasta dishes were barely enough for 1 person and the dessert was enough for 3 people to split. I ordered the tiramisu and it was also horrible it tasted like they used a whole bottle of alcohol to make it. Each bite tasted like I was taking a shot of alcohol I couldnt taste any cocoa, or espresso etc. I could only take 2 bites. Ive never had to tiramisu that was just straight alcohol, it was inedible.

I came in last night with very low expectations so saying that the restaurant exceeded my expectations might not mean much. I m sad Bad Bunny wasn t there and that they didn t even play Monaco once while we dined last night. JK. What was delicious? The bread basket!!! The cauliflower giardiniera, the spicy rigatoni, off-menu meatballs, and surprisingly the funghi trifolati side. The spicy rigatoni is prettyyyyy good but they just released their spicy vodka sauce and I ll be picking up a few jars from Whole Foods tonight. They were out of calamari so the staff member suggested the octopus pizzaiolo and that was not a hit for us. I m Vietnamese and am always down for fish sauce but this dish was pungent really heavy on the Italian fish sauce so beware. Cesar salad is okay. They do make a show of the salad preparation so that was nice. Mocktails were surprisingly tasty but $15 each was kinda steep. They also charge you for every bottle of Perrier and Aqua Panna they serve you and my biggest complaint is all of the food is heavily salted. So be warned and don t be surprised by the bill.

Overrated. Spaghetti and meatballs was salty, lamb chops bland and fatty, and caesar salad was basic. Otherwise, it was freshly made and took a while to be cooked. Portion sizes are for one person not two.

The valet staff was friendly, and I enjoyed the ambiance. The food was decent, without being particularly unique or exciting. The sommelier was knowledgeable and pleasant. However, my evening was marred by my waiter repeatedly mentioning the absence of one of my friends, which became bothersome after the third time

A group of my associates and I dined at Carbone Dallas this weekend to celebrate a birthday. Hands down and by far, it was the worst dining experience any of us have ever had to endure. We had originally booked a reservation for 8 people, but when a significant other decided to join our group we called to adjust the number to 9. The phone line that is listed goes straight to an automated message that prompts to email for changes to reservation party size or time. We did so at least 48 hours in advance and never heard back. On Saturday we arrived for our reservation and were told by the maitre d that it was impossible to do so because anything larger than 8 has to go through the banquet coordinator, and that there would be extreme and serious consequences for the staff at the restaurant from the corporate office if they were to allow the party an extra chair. We were then told that we could either dine for 8 guests, leave, or cancel our existing reservation and try to book ourselves 2 reservations of 4 and 5 online (at 10:30 pm on a Saturday night). We ended up speaking to the general manager, Mark, who was not only unhelpful but was frankly combative and disrespectful with his language. Good customer service entails finding a solution to fix an error, even if it is not perfect, and we were told there was simply no way forward. We explained that nowhere online does it state that 9+ requires a banquet coordinator, which according to this gentleman requires many weeks of planning, a bill minimum, and a set of fees he would not disclose even after we offered to meet those stipulations. In addition, despite numerous attempts to contact the restaurant, it was explained to us that Major Food Group has many thousands of reservation requests to respond to, and we should have taken that into account when we wanted to adjust the details of our reservation. Finally they conceded that they were able to put 5 of us next to the other 4 at two tables next to each other, and we were assured there would be action to make sure we were well taken care of. This did not happen, and the service continued to be disorganized throughout the rest of the meal. After speaking to numerous others in the restaurant and in social circles afterwards, we were surprised to hear that many others had similar poor experiences at this restaurant due to the lack of service standards. The quality of food is irrelevant if you leave feeling disrespected, especially at a restaurant where you are prepared to spend large sums of money for a premium experience. I have dined at numerous multi-Michelin star restaurants around the world and have never seen management that is so unprofessional and unkind to their patrons. The only bright spots of the evening were Allie (or Ally), one of the main hostesses, and Cameron, our sommelier. They were attentive, positive, and apologetic for the service we were receiving from others in the restaurant. We are grateful to have had them during our meal and they were memorable amongst the mess that was the rest of the evening. I would absolutely recommend any of the other premium restaurants in Dallas over dining at Carbone, as your special occasion and money are much better spent with a hospitality group that knows how to provide excellent customer service and great food!

We had a pretty good experience here. The sommelier was awesome and recommended us a great wine that fit our budget. We got the ragu tortellini and spicy vodka which were good. Beware, they will ask you if you want to split the spicy vodka in how many ever portions. I thought if they would just split a whole spicy vodka into the number of people in party but they actually gave us half portions. That s not really the biggest issue though. The problem is mainly with the dessert. We have tried every dessert on the menu aside from cheesecake and they were all terrible. The tiramisu we had today was like taking shots of whatever alcohol it was drenched in and was too strong. The carrot cake, was so off and too much ginger flavor. Didn t taste like a carrot cake at all. We have decided to never get dessert here again.

My first time here and this place is way overhyped and overpriced. Our waiter told us its family style, but there was barely enough food to feed two people let alone 4. Food was just ok, nothing great. They put us at a table in the back next to the bar and told us there werent any seats available in the main dining area even though no one was there when we came at 5:30pm. And at the end, a waitress breaks two glasses and the pieces almost hit my daughter and I with no apologies whatsoever from her and she was very rude to the bar staff. We will not be coming back.
