Updating to add the Gabriel makes the most delicious cocktails .holy crap it was one of the best martinis I have had PERIOD. We love Canons! The monte cristo, burger, and curry are fantastic! Service can be spotty, buuuuut nothing I wouldn t expect for a late night busy bar. We are local and enjoy coming here regularly. Would definitely hit this spot up!

Went to catch some soccer before the power trip concert. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the fries cooked to perfection with a crispy golden exterior and warm soft center. The Guinness was fantastic my smooth. TVs everywhere but not too loud. Attentive and enthusiastic staff. Oh, and they serve Malort.

What a nice treat to experience this Pub for drinks and food as a Fathers Day present! Great selection of beers and an incredible selection of spirits! My Harp on tap was very good. We started off with soft pretzels, very good! We all had the fish and chips that were outstanding. The fish was a large portion of Cod. I cant wait to return!

The fish dinner was one of the best Ive ever had in the USA. This is, to me, as good as the fresh fish I got in Ireland way back in the day!!! What the picture doesnt show, this isnt some little bitty filet, but, THICK! and long!!! and cooked to PERFECTION!!!!! Our waiter was just great. I had to be the ONLY person there that night that did not care at all about the game on the MANY MANY TVS....and with that the noise. The old saying, if its too loud, youre too old certainly applies to me. I care less than a whit about basketball...... Parking: There aint much parking in this area, we got REAL lucky.

This is such a cute little hole in the wall here in Oak Cliff! I didn t expect much for it being an Irish pub, but I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and modern design of the bar. They had really great music playing, I was expecting them to gallop around to an Irish jig, but I thankfully, was wrong. They had a really great menu with what I am assuming are Irish classics, they do a great job at keeping with the theme. The bartender Jake was super sweet and took time to explain the drink menu and enlightened me on the different types of beer. Overall this is such a cute little spot and I will definitely be returning!

The first time we came here it was really packed and we asked if there were any seating and they rudely told us to sit ourselves if we liked outside, it was freezing so we left. Months later we come back to try this place and service is horrible. We sat outside in the NICE weather and we had to go inside ourselves to get refills. There s only 3 tables busy. Don t recommend. Food isn t great

Not only is Cannons my favorite OC bar and hangout place, but the service is the best. Autumn is so fantastic - she s friendly, she s fast, always on the ball and greeting me with a smile and my drink. Cannot beat the neighborhood feel that Autumn brings to the bar and the atmosphere. Even though I ve moved out of the area she (& the fish and chips) are one of the reasons I keep coming back!

This Irish pub features about 10,000 tvs and music so loud that conversation is impossible. The food isnt bad, but the staff couldnt care less about your experience. l supported them for awhile for the food and a good variety of Irish whiskey, but Im done. Cant wait for the arrival of The Old Monk

My family and friend sat on the dog friendly patio with our pups. We enjoyed the curry and lemon pepper wings. Both were fantastic! After a round of draft beers, Jose suggested a cocktail. He asked me a few questions and then made 2 fantastic drinks for the wife and I. One a mix of a Negroni and Old Fashioned and a smoked old fashioned. Both were fantastic and unexpected from a Pub. We really enjoyed the experience and suggests others to go!

Had the pretzels on a whim during first visit and they always make it on our order. We make a point to visit a least once a month for happy hour. Mike and his staff are very offensive yelling at customers. I thought it would be a good place, but it was the most horrible night in my life. I just wanted to have a good night with some friends. It makes me sad to write this review. We recently moved and have been scoping out the area to find the places that will become our regulars. We love a good drink/beer and a good meal and had been wanting to try this pub since it has good reviews. Sadly we left with a really bad impression. Our two bar tenders seemed nice but tired or not in a good mood(we visited on a Monday evening), one was new, she said she had been there a week a think. We ordered the angels Envy and the girl (Noemi I think) came back to say they didnt have the whiskey needed for the drink that they had this one other option... my husband said sure ill take the one you do have. In the end we had an extra $13.00 dollar upcharge and we had no idea why. When we asked her she said it was bc of the rye she used on his drink, when we asked for the manager he immediately said it was bc she used a different wiskey or Rye... the manager (Mike i think) said Noemi the new bar tender) had told us. All she said was they were out of the one it comes with... (never did she say: IT WOULD BE EXTRA $13.00 dollars). The manager was so rude... he went back to adjust the price and threw.... literally THREW THE CECK AT MY HUSBAND. We have never had an experience like this. I was in shock. I still left a tip and we left but have been really thinking what to do because that behavior is unacceptable. Overall we just want people to know to watchout for staff like this. I dont know that ill ever go back or maybe will just make sure those two bar tenders are not there if we do decide to enter this pub. The place is at a great location and has a cool vibe but being disrespected in the way these two did is unacceptable.

This is a sports bar that has exceptional food that is compatible in pricing. Recommend the Shepherds Pie. There is handicap accessibility. Their bar drinks and draft beer are great tasting and comparable in price. Went in for dinner with friends and we all had a great time.

I was excited about trying out this place. Since it is in the neighborhood. Well fisrt impressions always matter. And everything was going fine. Until David came over to ask us to close the our tab because there was a change on shift change. So we said ok. He brings our tab I did not even look at the amount I just handed him my card. Despite we are not done with our meals or drinks. Minutes later he come back for the signed check. I am the one of those people who wont sign a check until I am done with my meal and when I am ready to go. Well he came back rushing me to sign my ticket. I felt like he was pushing us out the door. I couldnt even figure out a fair tip. Since I was feeling rushed in the middle of eating my meal. I should have put $0.00 as the tip. But I tried my best to be fair. But the fact of a server pushing the customers to close a tab in the middle of a meal. Thats what makes me mad. We left after we signed our tab and we did not finished our meals. So just an FYI for new neighbors who would like to try this place out.

Son and I are desperately looking for a great fish and chips. We decided to make the 30 minute drive here since the menu had some authentic looking dishes. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Vibe is a little trendy since it s close to Dallas, but nothing over the top. Tried a local Irish ale which was decent. I had the full Irish breakfast. Everything came out hot. Blood and white pudding was really good. Bangers were hot and super tasty. Beans and toast was fresh. Mushrooms added a great addition and the hash browns crisp. Much better experience than I recently had at the Holy Grail which was awful. My son had the half order of fish and chips. Big portion of cod which was fresh. The batter was crisp in some places and soggy in others. We asked for a side of curry for the chips. Curry was a little sweet and a bit over powering on the herbs but good. Chips were cut like you d see them across the pond. Standard chips. Appetizer was spicy cheese curds. Lots of flavor and spicy. I liked them. Son liked them somewhat. I ll definitely come back to try the shepherds pie and Pub Chicken Curry. Again, super friendly staff. Would have liked to see more imported beers on draft or in the bottle. That seems to be slowly going away in the DFW area. Too much local craft beers that aren t as good. That s a minor complaint. Otherwise, check these guys out.

Was so excited to experience what seemed to be an authentic Irish pub in Dallas. Food was decent enough but having just come from Universal Studios in Florida, I can say, the theme park fish and chips could give this pub a run for its money. Drinks were delicious and the service during brunch was great. Dinner on a Friday night yielded attentive wait staff and great drinks. The bathrooms need an over haul , as there should be one for women only, why? Because some men still do not know how to hit the target and I had to lay down paper towels for my heels. As far as atmosphere?? What does hard core metal bands or country music have to do with Ireland? Cool decor, fairly good food, consistently great service, but lacks atmosphere. Dead by 10pm on a Friday night says it all.

Late night dinner after concert at The Kessler Theater... wow! What a friendly, eager to please bar staff! Suggestions were happily & helpfully given to us. Fast serve time on our meals, cooked perfectly & tasted great!! Truly great experience! Did not expect anyone to be so enthusiastic about serving us that late! When in Oak Cliff, Tx.. I will stop back in Cannons Corner Irish Pub & highly recommend you do too!

Met friends for a pre-St Pats dinner. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere and great service. Really enjoyed the food - shared the cabbage rolls and had the Reuben sandwich. My friend had the fish and chips and Irish breakfast. Just a great evening.

Update: March 2023. - Neither food nor service have been less than stellar. Our comfort zone for Oak Cliff A perfect neighborhood pub with friendly staff, on point service, and fantastic Irish fare. The traditional Irish breakfast is not to be missed. They have also remodeled to create better separation in light of Covid-19, with an added benefit of allowing you to have some buffering of the overall nosie of the restaurant and have a more intimate experience at both the bar and the tables. So glad to have them in the neighborhood

Absolutely love this place. Have been visiting every Friday for the past few weeks and the service is always amazing, and best of all consistent. The food is just as great, my favorite being their vegan pretzel! Havent tried their duck wings, but their regular wings are great! Better than most of those places that specialize in wings. Duck wings will definitely be had this Friday!

Food was ok. Chicken was fried and mixed in with curry to make chicken curry. We couldn t eat the chicken at all. If you are going to serve chicken curry make it the right way. The bread that came with the mussels was stale. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes

Horrible service. Half of food arrived cold way after first two plates were served. Then after being ignored while watching waitress chatting with one bar customer continuously, she tells us how they are short staffed and she is pregnant. Well if she has too many tables to handle, she probably shouldnt add gratuity. In fact she doesnt even work there anymore. Now she works at House of Blues. Thanks for the warning. Wont be going back.

Shane & Meghan are superstars. (well, all the staff is literally the sweetest bartenders that you ll find in Oak Cliff) kept the cold miller lites coming & as for the monte cristo? it literally slap s harder than chris brown. Best sandwich i ve had in a long time. Definitely recommend and will be returning for the awesome service.

Drink prices where pretty good and service was pretty attentive. Tall guy bartender wearing a cap was a little a-hole-ish but that made the Irish pub experience great. Made me feel a little like I was back in Boston towards Southie....LOL. I will definitely be back again.
