The family has loved this place since we were kids! Everything is great! Family faves: texas sized chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, Chubbys favorite breakfast, rice, carrots, pinto beans, green beans, black-eyed peas, and broccoli rice casserole! Love all the desserts, especially the strawberry short cake and the carrot cake! Amazing rolls and corn bread! Also, I love that they have sugar-free maple syrup!

Chubby has always maintained a family oriented restaurant. Still a nice place to go. Good choices of food. Ive been back to Chubby many times since 2022, just didnt post any reviews. Not only everything didnt change; actually things got better - foods, drinks & service. One thing that changed tremendously, beyond their control, is the price. Of course, this was man made as I called it, not Chubby. Give them 5 *****. They deserve it.

Good was good. Plentiful and cooked to order. Price was good as well for what you receive. Coffee was a glaring miss. Had an odd flavor. My HS has been meeting here for luncheon every other month for over 6 months. The menu is diverse. Some things are better than others. I have really enjoyed the breakfast options. Last visit, I tried chicken fried steak. It was not very good. And the broccoli rice side was way overcooked... mushy. The servers have been really good. That said, between food quality and available space for a large group, we will be moving back to El Fenix in Casa Linda Plaza for future gatherings.

Ive driven by this place for probably 10 years but never tried it, I wish I had been eating here the entire time. At lunch it was busy but no wait at 1pm. I ordered the chicken fried steak, fried okra, and grilled vegetables. Im from Texas and Ive had more than my share of chicken fried steaks but this was better than any I can remember. The okra and grilled veggies were sensational (though the one grilled tomato slice I thought was odd but it was a really tasty tomato). I ordered the white or country gravy and I loved that they had gravy under and on top of the steak, it was the perfect amount. The lunch sized chicken fried steak was a great size and for about $11 unbeatable. The cakes and pies in the case are all made in the restaurant so I could resist and ordered a slice of the red velvet to go. It wasnt what I expected but it was great, it was moist light and fluffy cake

Entered the restaurant with a party of 12 and unfortunately they could not sit us all at one table. However they did put as close together as they could. The food came out as usual.....served very fast, hot, delicious and more that you can eat in a sitting! The staff was as equally attentive to our party of 12! Good old fashioned home style cooking is what you can expect when you eat here. And lastly the bill of course is always just a little less than other restaurants. My boyfriend took me here. The food was really delicious, I am a huge fry person and I promise you the fries here are to die for! The burger was delicious too. But if youre new like me, the environment might come to surprise you. There are a lot of elderly people who enjoy this restaurant. So if youre part of the older generation crowd, this might actually be a good spot for you to hang out and meet new friends. I went on a Sunday around 11 am and there was nowhere to sit inside while we waited to be seated, so my boyfriend and I decided to wait outside since it was a nice day. All of a sudden a man comes from the parking lot and immediately tells us to leave, that we need to go. He then asks us what we are doing there and I ask who he was, asking questions and telling us to leave and he proceeds to tell us that hes the owner. I tell him that we are waiting for a table so why should we leave. He then says that he has people asking for money outside his restaurant so he just took it upon himself to assume we were panhandling the second he saw us. He was so rude about it and didnt even seem to care much that he basically called us homeless. I then gave him the name on the waiting list and he proceeds to go and check and sure enough he realizes we are just customers waiting to eat but instead of giving us a well deserved apology or offer us something for insulting us, he just walks out in a hurry and barely says, sorry about that and keeps walking to his car and leaves. I have never experienced anything like this and will never come here again. I will tell everyone I know not to ever come here. The owner needs to learn how to talk to people and stop assuming and accusing his customers of being homeless. I am a minority so he may even be racist for all I know. Thats the impression he gave. Horrible service from the owner himself. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

I went into chubbys today which is April the 13th for lunch. I had my little dog and a bag and I was told he was not allowed in there. Every other restaurant that I go to allows my dog in. I think these Greek brothers just dont like animals. The Greek brothers own the restaurant not sure what their names are however years ago they own two houses across Northwest highway. One of the rent houses a lady passed away in I along with other volunteers went out there to remove cats alive and dead after that ladys body was removed from the house. That lady passed away on her couch it smelled horrible. We cleaned up the cat situation found homes and adopted out the cats that were adoptable. We spent days out there. A cat rescue group that I volunteered at. They the Greek brothers that own chubbys said they would leave a donation for all of our hard efforts. Well they never did. I dont go in there very often because of that. Today I went in like I said wouldnt serve me. Tried to call to speak to the manager to talk to her about this problem very rude. I will never step foot in that place again. Owners dont do what they say managers are rude.

Youre not going to get a better diner experience in DFW. Beats Normas, Mamas Daughters, Circle Grill. Whatever greasy spoon/ hole in the wall/ diner experience youre looking for. All day breakfast is a plus. Daily specials. A Greek menu thats legit. PIES, BROWNIES, CAKES! You wont walk away disappointed. Ive gone here since I was in my 20s as a construction worker. Food, service, and atmosphere were mediocre. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were meh. Mashed potatoes were cold. Coconut cream pie was my favorite part. Fast service and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable ob their food. Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. No places like this around. Loved it. Will be coming back for sure. Vegetarian options: Many different sides that I have never tried.

Great experience every time I visit. You feel welcomed when you walk in the door. The staff knows their customers by name. Its not uncommon to see the owners stop by the table to say hello. Service is great even when its busy. They stop by frequently to fill your coffee cup. The menu has something for everyone.

Went for brunch. Staff was friendly restaurant was clean. Food was not the best. Pancakes were hot but lacked in flavor. We had bacon and eggs which were good. I tried the chicken fried steak with potatoes and corn, was ok. Server was very attentive and kind. Food was lacking in flavor.
