The girl who answered the firm apparently thinks she is an expert on OWCP, EEOCs....and decided the firm can not help me. She refused to schedule a consultation with a real attorney. Every time I tried to explain my case (which I shouldnt have had to do, she should have just scheduled a consultation) she kept repeating We cant help you, we cant help you like a broken record. Dont waste your time here. Very frustrating. Wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my time. Thank God I didnt hire them. That B did me a favor.

Dont waste your money. The only thing they take seriously about your case is getting paid upfront. You basically have to prepare your own documents and then proofread them yourself for errors and typos. They pretty much strong arm you into accepting the lowest settlement possible. Office staff (Miranda) is a joke. Very rude and unprofessional. It took them over a week to mail out my settlement check, even though they woke me up at 8:30 am the week prior to say they had received it and it would be mailed out within a day or two. If I had it to do all over again, I would have NEVER paid them one single dime to represent me. Absolute trash.

This place is a joke and a cash grab. All they did was find a Dr for a rating which I had to fly to Dallas from Oakland. Other than that they did NOTHING but ask me to replenish my account. Today they asked for more money I asked to have my attorney Kelly call me literally to close the case and see what would be needed for the final dotting of I and crossing of ts. They refused my request even though they have stolen over 5000 dollars in the last 10 months. Look at their reviews on yelp they avg 2 stars this place is TERRIBLE

Be careful! This law firm won t help you after they take your money. The initial meeting offered with lots of promises , but after that, they didn t do anything. If you email them, they won t respond back. They only contact you for the fee. Horrible service. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. It s a shame because they seemed so promising at first, but their lack of follow-through and communication left me utterly disappointed.

I had the worst experience of my life with this firm. The first red flag was the tone of voice when the initial consult takes place. The tone is friendly and nice and attitude of you were wronged! After about 2 months that attitude goes to we got enough money from you now, and you are not going to win anyway!!!

They have good service when you call them they call you back, the only thing I didnt like is that they changed my lawyer many times without prior notice I had to keep calling to find out about my case every time and in the end they finished they sent me the approval letter and Lawyers can no longer ask a question if they dont see money, there is no answer to a question. Its sad. I know that they studied a lot for this, but at the end of the day you are left with the satisfaction of having been able to help or the money that they gave you. youre going to win maybe because of my language that affected even a little more

I highly recommend the Devadoos Law Firm. With their expert legal assistance, I was able to win reinstatement, fullback pay, and all benefits. In August 2017, the federal agency I worked for found a reason to terminate me. I was a supervisor so I did not have the protection of the union. I chose the Devadoss Law Firm to challenge my dismissal through the Merit System Protection Board. The initial intake consisted of the owner, Mr. Bobby Devadoss, my lawyer, Mr. Tyler Sroufe, and myself. After listening to my situation, they accepted my case and explained, in detail the process, the best course of action and our chances of success. They did not pressure me on how to proceed; instead, they gave me enough information to make a well-informed decision that I was comfortable with. My case was adjudicated January 2024. This was NOT at the fault of the law firm, and was the result of the increase in MSPB cases. I believe, without a doubt, that throughout this ordeal I received the best professional legal services money can buy. The owner thought me important enough to take more than 30-minutes of his busy day, to speak with me and answer all of my questions; Mr. Sroufe worked with me personally and diligently on all aspects of my case; He solicited my input before submitting any document; He is very knowledgeable on the various federal agencies how they operate, and the laws they operate under; He always gave his professional opinion, and when asked, gave his personal experience so I would have something to relate to. He let me review the final draft of all documents prior to submission. He responded to all my email and phone calls, if not immediately, then as soon as possible. I scheduled our meetings that were convenient for me. He remembered every detail of my case and treated me as if I was his only client. I did not feel rushed or like I was interrupting him. He explained things in simple terms and did not use a lot of legal or technical jargon, and did not make me feel like an idiot. Every document he submitted was personal and specific to me and my case, and not a document that was a cut and paste compilation of other people cases, or a boilerplate document he used on every case similar to mine. He was always positive with a cheery attitude, which made him a pleasant person to work with, and kept me motivated and optimistic for almost seven years. In addition to Mr. Sroufe, the rest of the Devadoss Law Firm also provided exceptional service. They work as a team; associate attorneys, paralegal, billing, and the office manager. Andrea Meadows handles the contract and payment. She made it a user-friendly process by emailing everything to me, which I signed, scanned, and emailed back to her. There was never a billing mistake or variance between the oral and written contracts. When Mr. Sroufe was unavailable, I left a message with the office. They took detailed notes of my needs and said they would get it to him as soon as possible. Mr. Sroufe either called me personally to respond to my request, sent me a message on when he would get back to me, or asked another attorney to get back to me. And on this note, I want to point out that Mr. Sroufe is not a one-man team. I interacted with other attorneys at the firm as well, but at no time did I feel as if I was being passed off. And in every instance, he informed me before hand, was included on the message traffic, or followed up with me later to discuss whatever matter one of his associated assisted on. I cannot stress enough how professional, dedicated, and reliable the Devadoss Law Firm is and they were a shining light in what could have been a significant period of darkness in my life. They stayed in contact with me throughout the entire ordeal. I highly recommend the Devadoss Law Firm. They will take care of you like family.

I wouldnt recommend at all. This firm works for the agency not federal employees. They will intentionally schedule hearings on the same schedule as yours, send attorneys who has no knowledge of your case represent you. They will make so much mistakes because they want to settle your cases and keep your money. Be careful, they will withdraw in the middle of your case.Expect to do the work yourself because they will not do the work.

I want to first begin by saying when I came in, I had no idea what I was doing or if I even had a case. I was afraid, and tired, and knew there was no other way if I wanted to get back to any sense of peace. This was it. Last chance for me. I got in to talk tearfully with Ryan and he sat so patient and listened. That s all he did for a good hour or so. He never stopped me to tell me my time was up, look at his watch, or imply I was wasting his time. He never interrupted or spoke over me. Total respect. After listening, he then told me he thought I had a good case. I thought, of course, that s what all attorneys say! He also informed me that although it had the potential of winning, it wasn t a guarantee due to technicality with certain aspects of judicial law (which I know nothing about). He said he would never take the case if he didn t think it had a chance. But I trusted him and gave him anything he needed and let him do what he is good at. The case took some time. At one point, due to COVID and the length of time it was taking for the judge to get cases, it was dismissed. Ryan refused to accept it, still having faith that we would win. He got my case back on and just shortly after that, his partner, Stacie, came on to work with us. Stacie is very serious and focused, very no-nonsense. Both of these amazing attorneys were able to point out inconsistencies that I never noticed. They have an eagle eye for glitches. Needless to say, we won the case, thanks to Ryan, Stacie, and the entire staff who did a ton of work without ever being seen. I am so grateful and appreciative that there are good folks willing to fight hard for what is right and just. I highly, highly recommend them and wish the best for the entire team in the future!!!

I was assigned a lawyer to work on my case who was patient, a good listener, very responsive and attended to my needs. Chris Forasiepi also gave me detailed scenarios on how things would, could or should play out. May 2023- Angrily still a client!!! Nearly $9000 in, cant just start over. Very little performance from assigned attorney. 1.5 years in. I have done most of the paper work responses. Most paper work the firm has done is sending 3 fee contracts and request for extension without confirming with me. Talked to supervising Attorney, he was extremely defensive for having to talk to me! When I asked for next higher Attorney, he did slightly apologize because 90% of calls he deals with are complaints?!@#!? That should tell you alot. ************ original post Currently a client, very unsatisfied! Poor communication by one attorney. They bill you for every interaction by email or phone. They do not get back to you that day. I sent an email on Friday and I have not heard anything on Wednesday yet! I get quick responses when they want more money. I complained and asked to speak to a lead attorney, guess what, I was billed for having meeting to complain! So far, they have not done anything worth the 4k I have paid them so far. A 5 DAY TRIAL....finished early @ 3 days.....with a partial bench decision within moments of closing arguements. They have an absolute system and process that I would pay for time and time again. I contacted the Devadoss Law Firm in November of 2021 in connection with a reasonable accommodation in Federal employment case. Although my case is still pending a year later (FedGov moves pretty slow), Ive been nothing but happy with the support Ive received from this firm thus far. The front office intake was crisp and clean, and directed me over to a staff attorney who took my case seriously, asked great questions, reviewed my accommodation request paperwork, and periodically followed up. I was totally and completely ripped off by this firm. I would give zero stars if I could. This law firm double and triple charged me, then dropped me as a client when I questioned the charges. I was not receiving the services promised, I only heard from them if I made multiple phone calls, and almost every phone call included repeat conversations and promises from them (that were not fulfilled). Even one of my DOL worker s compensation case managers asked me what are my attorneys even doing for me. As I was the one constantly contacting DOL and providing necessary information and documentation on my behalf. They hadn t received hardly anything from my attorneys except attorney fee notices! I paid them up front and can t even get my money refunded. They even sent a request letter to the wrong doctor. They didn t even know who my treating physician was. No apologies or anything. They got upset with me for being upset about the handling of my claim and unethical billing. Good luck going forward with them.

Debra Hauser, with the Devadoss Law Firm, has represented me on two separate DOL cases. Debra has shown nothing but professionalism in dealing with me and the Department of Labor. Debra is always there to reassure you, because having to deal with the Department of Labor is a chore. Did not happen, after a decision not in favor of my claim, they wanted more funding to continue this claim to a Merit board. I contracted with this firm and paid the initial $5000. They said I had to keep at least $1500 on the books at all time - which I did. Less than a month before my EEO hearing, they told me if I didn t pay them an additional $12,000, they were going to drop my case. I didn t have the money before their deadline. I hired this lawfirm in September 2020 to help with a OPM case and I was told I have a case which I know I do with all of my medical evidence. However, this law firm did not fight for me as they should have. They did not question OPM to reconsider my disability package. Instead they wanted me to take out an additional loan of 5500 more and said it was to help me with the MSPB board. I am still paying for the first loan of 5500 that I took out to pay them initially. Before I paid them,, they were extremely accommodating and nice but after I paid them They would never call me back and the attorney would take a week or more to get back to me even though she knew we were up against the clock. Not to mention the rude secretary personel. Until this day I havent heard back from the lawfirm. Please do yourself a favor and do not use them. Save your money.

I hired DeVadoss law firm to represent me in my federal owcp case. My case was denied prior to me hiring them. It took them nearly a year to appeal it. It was literally days from the deadline. However my case was accepted. I faithfully paid them $300 month but after my case was accepted I was assigned to an associate who was less than enthusiastic in her responses to my email inquiries. My case required surgery. DOL began to drag out the surgery request and decided on a second opinion. I contacted the associate and the main atty and asked if I was paying for assistance too. He assured me I was. I never received a response to my questions. I finally terminated them end of July. I requested my billable hours several times and have yet to receive them. I can not recommend this firm due to their unresponsive ness to questions from their paying clients.

This firm came highly recommended so I was excited to work with them. I felt between all the documented evidence, an employee willing to testify on my behalf and the reputation of the firm we would win. I m a fighter and expect that same spirit in my attorney. In the beginning, I was extremely happy with the firm. My attorney and I worked well together and she kept me in the loop on everything, but unfortunately, she found employment elsewhere and my case was reassigned. The second attorney was less involved, and in my opinion too accommodating to the other side. She also left for another job. My third and final attorney I feel was too inexperienced to handle the case. I requested a hearing. The agency requested a summary judgment. My attorney presented his brief, but felt is wasn t necessary to furnish any of the many documents to prove my case. He told me not to worry because you can t win summary judgement using a deposition which was the only thing the agency used for their argument. He was wrong. They won! I was livid. I d worked too hard getting the documents needed to win my case. An employee had also jeopardized their job helping me with my case for it to end so haphazardly. Then I was told for an additional fee they could handle my appeal. Not a chance in hell. I could not in good conscious recommend this firm.

Living out of state, my husband and I first called and spoke with Bobby Devadoss for our free consultation, later sending documentation to him for review. The final outcome of my EEOC case, they were successful in proving all three counts. A righteous judgement was delivered against the agency by the Federal Judge. In the Judgement Summary, the judge stated that, Overwhelmingly, age discrimination, hostile working environment and reprisal for filing the EEOC claim was proven by the Complainant . Secondly, Mr. Devadoss recognized that through the 26 years of the exposure to death & dying on a daily basis advised me to seek counseling and evaluation by a Forensic Psychiatrist / Psychologist. He also brought in expert counsel on OWCP via Debra Hauser, Senior Supervisory Attorney with the law firm to speak with my husband and I about Work Place Exposure and P.T.S.D. . What Ms. Hauser and Mr. Devadoss both recognized was the irreputable harm that I had suffered and pushed down deep to be able to continue to work at the only profession I had known. From that moment, Debra Hauser skillfully help assemble a list of physicians both locally and in the Dallas, TX area to start the evaluation of work place exposure. After the evaluation she submitted my claim to DOL, requesting updates from them and continued support that went and continues to go far and above what I could have ever expected. Ms. Hauser provided great correspondence between the DOL and myself. The outcome of the OWCP case was proven that I did suffer from work place exposure, resulting in PTSD, Major Depression and Anxiety Disorder. If not for the expert guidance and knowledge of practice in dealing with the DOL, the case wouldn t have been awarded the first time; without appeal. One thing I can honestly say to you Debra, you have never misled me and at times had to deliver painful news but honesty, compassion and expert representation made you very exceptional. In conclusion, I want to address the fact that navigation through the EEOC process and OWCP with the DOL is nothing to take lightly. I have a collogue that filed her EEOC case prior to the time I did and did not use a law firm; she still hasn t heard a word in regards to a decision. I have retained Devadoss twice now. They re great! If you re an injured federal worker, you d better make contact with this firm. Yes, your local union can represent you. But they can also represent you on a poor performance appraisal. Or for overtime that you weren t allowed to have even though everyone else got it. You re union steward can represent you if you re getting a letter for your file. But most stewards are laid up in bed with most management and will be looking for some privilege of their own during their negotiations for you. But guess what? DeVadoss only works with IW s. And when you ve been injured on the job you want, and you need the solid law team of DeVadoss on your side who only deal with workers comp. They receive training and briefings on every time federal law changes. And believe me, it s a very complicated procedure to cut through all the red tape and find out what rights you have. Management certainly isn t going to tell you. You re union steward certainly isn t going to tell you. The entire team, especially Debra, has been wonderful to work with. I ve felt that someone has my back. And when I ask questions, I get answers. The right answers. And that, is peace of mind. Worst customer service skills. I have a friend that attained this law firm for an EEO case and is being represented by Tyler Sroufe. He told me to contact them for a MSPB case. I have tried to email and no one contacts you back. When i tried to call a gal says Bobby is busy. When asked for his voice mail she says he doesnt have one. When asked how long it takes to have someone contact you she stated obviously ypu dont have a case. STAY CLEAR....i contacted Melville Johnson PC and right away they gave me a free conseltation the next day with a follow up in a couple weeks due to the holliday.

Bobby called me this morning, one of the Attorneys and was very rude, impatient, spoke to me in a belittling manner. I am not an attorney so I will not use the same terms. He proceeds to tell me about the federal EEO process, I already know its a long process. He said I had to wait until case was in investigstion phase, I was trying to confirm what another attorney told me and was cut off. Another attorney told me his plan was to settle before it went through the process. So if this procedure could be done thats what I want to happen. Other attorney was just too expensive probably because he was votes best Dallas attorney 2016.

Very sad and frustrated, the intake individual was very rude and told me I obviously dont know what i am doing, when i told him hold on let me look for the acknowledgement order. I am in tears dealing at how someone could speak to me in such a poor manner.
