Its been a few years since I have eaten at Novas. My since departed good friend Steven Geer would bring me here. Steven and I also did a couple of music show gigs together for their Sunday brunch before covid. It was good to be back. The rib eye steak was delicious. The humus appetizer is yummy. I could make a meal from that! We did the potato appetizer, and the flavor is so good. The service and atmosphere is awesome. I will be back more often. Never a dissapointment.

I recently had dinner at Nova in Dallas, TX, and it was awesome! The place has a super chill and cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. I went for the chicken fried pork loin, and it was amazing. The pork was cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The breading was just right, not too heavy, and full of flavor. It came with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, which made it even better. The staff at Nova were fantastic. They were really friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. They knew the menu well and gave me some great recommendations. Overall, my experience at Nova was top-notch. The chicken fried pork loin was the highlight of my meal, and I m definitely excited to go back and try more dishes. If youre in Dallas and looking for a relaxed spot with delicious food, Nova is a must-visit!

What a weird restaurant. Went on a Sunday night. The restaurant had diner vibes, but had music blasting like a club. Has quirky mixed with classic design, decor, and diner food quality but is priced like fine dining. I will probably never go again and will probably never remember it outside of reminders from my review. But I ll definitely remember it for what it was if someone brings it up. I ll say it again, what a weird restaurant. The servers were nice. No issues.

The potatoes bravas and roasted brussel spouts are my new nighttime craving. Pros : open late with good food! Cool vibes, clean, decent service. Interesting food, including *good* veggie options. Cons : a bit too loud to talk to anyone youre dining with. Their delivery service doesnt cover my address even though Im only 10 mins away. Overall I recommend! Ill be coming back for another round soon.

Decent brunch spot that has good live music. I got the grilled cheese with the tomato bisque soup, which was decent. The service was very attentive and courteous. With the live music, it is difficult to hear a conversation with whoever you come with. Vegetarian options: You can get one of their pizzas or the triple cheese grilled cheese. Their dinner menu had a few more, but those are not available for brunch.

We LOVE Kerri with a K. she is the best bar mom we could ever ask for, and brought us pizza even when the cold weather wiped out their heat. She also looks like a superstar and we are big fans. Went to Nova for a late night bite and this place did not disappoint. Started off with a Nova 75, which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and bubbly. Dinner consisted of seared duck and the cold smoked salmon salad. Those two items were 10/10! The food came to the table super fast and was absolutely delicious. Topped it all off with crème brûlée. Ordered the garlic hummus to go and glad I did because it was amazing. This place is a hidden gem and will definitely revisit when in the area. Ive lived in the DFW area for 15 years and never knew about this awesome little gem in the Bishop Arts district I was feeling pretty bummed about the pain from my dental surgery I had last week still proceeding into this week and needed to get out of the house. I told hubby lets just drive somewhere and get lost. Hes a part time Uber driver and knows his way around DFW very well, so, getting lost wasnt going to be an option Anyway, we ended up in the Bishop Arts area and it was lined with cute little shops & restaurants. My spirits lifted immediately I cant believe I had never been to this area before! How fun! Eventually we got hungry and stopped here at Nova This place is awesome!!! From the food, to the service, to that amazing looking chandelier located in the pictures. Its the little things that make me excited The atmosphere was really chill. Lots to choose from whether you only want a little bit to eat or a lot Nova also serves dessert, but you have to ask your server what they have as its not on the menu. You are served a refreshing glass of water w/ a cucumber slice, but there are other options to choose from in the drink category Some of the pictures may have come out a little dark and I apologize for that Please do yourselves a favor and be sure to drop in here. Wow! First time here and it was great! Food, service, atmosphere, drinks were excellent! I had the Cold Smoked Salmon Salad which was loaded with delicious smoked salmon and veggies and enough for 2. My Spouse and friends had Angus Brisket Burger, Four meat pizza, Grilled chicken & Peanut Chopped, and a Watermelon slice topped with herbs and cheese. Perfect spot on a Tuesday night. We came here for a birthday celebration and the service was amazing! Food was well seasoned & served timely. Shaundra provided exceptional French-dining service I was very impressed. I didn t get a picture of the chicken chopped salad, which had a delicious sesame dressing nor did I get a pic of the hummus plate with the cucumber-tomato salad, but it was all exceptional. A friend loved the country fried pork loin & said it was perfectly cooked. Great portion for the price. The miso glazed salmon was also delicious. It was a special for the night, but it s definitely worth trying it if it returns to the menu. My husband got the vegetable enchiladas, which had a great spice & seasoning to them. Not bland at all! My husband and I stopped in on a date after midnight hoping for some late night grub and the waiter told us that the kitchen was unfortunately closed for the evening. I dont know how many times you can review a restaurant, but every time I go to Nova, I cant go wrong! They serve cuisine of all different types, and any Ive tasted are top quality! I recommend for brunch the chicken-fried pork loin (which they also serve at dinner, with different sides than brunch) or the egg white omelet. For lunch or dinner the Burger cant be be beat, and the pizzas are made with the perfect dough and toppings that define the pizza rather than accentuate! Yes, they are fine dining, so they also boast amazing dinner specials regularly. But I usually order a lot of appetizers, like their amazing hummus plate, fried brussels sprouts (with just the right amount of goat cheese and cranberries), and my fave: warm fresh beets with pecans and OH MY GOSH so yummy! I forgot to mention that their Asian Sesame Chicken salad is my favorite salad ever, and I have happy hour friends who keep trying to replicate it. (They sell in half size for a snack) Lots of grilled chicken and raw veggies including cabbage with flavorful sesame oil, and a little bit spicy. When I need a food adventure or just want to be wowed by the favorites, Nova is where I head!

OH WOW!!!! This was the cutest little spot. When I pulled up I assumed that it was some fancy fancy place and I almost didnt go in because of my causal outfit lol. Luckily I tried it anyways and from the door to the bar everyone was soo super nice and inviting even the customers. I didnt really catch their names but I believe I was told hes the GM there and he attended to me right away even gave me this salad on the house it was delicious. I had the special which was salmon and all these other magnificent Ingredients that I cant remember had a bourbon berry mixed drink hit the spot!!. Excellent food, vibe and indoor and outdoor space. This is a staple of north oak cliff. It is close to Kessler Park and Bishops Arts and it has been in business for many years. The staff are friendly and feel like family. I had the brisket burger, fries and a made-to-order iced tea with the just-right Goldilocks sweetness I rarely find. Burger had great flavor with a nice crispy bun and steak fries had nice spice. Highly recommended.

I don t come here much since all my friends hang deeper into bishop arts district. But every time I ve been, they ve always been great. The main guy (that never seems to take a day off) is JD. He s the manger/ owner I believe but If you see him when you walk in, he ll treat you like family! They re consistent with their hours also. Never seen a bartender come across like a jerk, they ve always been friendly. Maybe I ve just been lucky. JD goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Dinner menu might be done but he doesn t mind cooking you up a pizza late night for you. Would recommend for late night drinks. I m sure they re day time/evening experience is just as good, but I just don t ever come at that time of the day to see.

Nova has become my local Cheers place. Exceptional food, cocktails, and ambience where we always run into our neighbors, and other fun people that we love. You are never rushed, the staff is very friendly, and the Happy Hour is one of the best deals in town. Dietary restrictions: My vegetarian roommate never has a problem finding something that she enjoys including a martini with blue cheese olives that they stuff just for her! Parking: Except for the busiest of times, adequate parking Kid-friendliness: Always lots of kids having a great time without being intrusive

This was my first time eating at this establishment. The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly. From reading the review the food sounded delicious. My first complaint the menu is limited after 10 pm, wasn t expecting that. Secondly, the food wasn t seasoned. The frog legs were too greasy. Mac and Cheese tasted like soup. The burger was overcooked. The pizza and drink were delicious! Super disappointed with the food. Overall I wouldn t be back to visit.

We came in for the first time. Living just north of 380, we don t make it down here enough. Wesley was our server, and he was definitely on top of his game! Drinks stayed full, and order was placed accurately (with our special requests). Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and great overall experience. Live music was great too. We really weren t sure what we would walk into, but we sure are glad we did! Keep up the great work, and hoping to see y all again soon. Go Cowboys!

JD was our server and he was fantastic, as was our food! Our anniversary date did not go as planned and we wound up at Nova. We werent sure what to expect but right off the bat JD made us feel welcome, he answered our questions and made our night. Good drinks, good food, great service! A nice place for an intimate meal with relaxed atmosphere. Too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures but we will be back.

I had the pleasure of going to Nova on Frday night and I really enjoyed the place! They were playing a great mixture of music genres inside. We sat outside and we ordered from the late night menu. We ordered the burger, brussell sprouts, mussels and shared. Everything was tasty. They have a cool mixed drink menu a nice selection of beer. The bartender took care us even though we were outside and she was just the right amount of attentive, friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. Its a great neighborhood bar and it seemed to me like there were many regulars in attendance that night. And as for those reviews that speak negatively about bad service waiting for items etc? I can see where the place would get really busy, very crowded easily and how hard it might be to maneuver through to each table on the reg so being a little proactive and knowing that ahead of time as a customer is helpful. Let me set the right expectation--its not gonna be a wait on your every need/hand and foot kind of place This is more of an energetic jump up and order another drink if you want one sooner than someone can check on you kind of place.

Had the chicken fried pork loin... Really good, unique prep. Opened with watermelon salad... Also unique and quite tasty. Almost left, but he described the peach crumble and I couldnt say no. All A+.
