The AAFES/Exchange store at this location is inside a security fence and another check point and is intended primarily for employees. It is a small convenience store with snacks, drinks, and a few other things - most definitely not a surplus store. Other Exchange stores are full fledged department stores and are located on military installations.

Worst Vendor on the Planet Bar None, and I shopped all over. There are bad ones but they dont survive, AAFES gets the prize, and it stays but really shouldnt! My purchase authorization was blocked without any clear reason or notification. When I tried to buy some items, charges were posted to my credit cards although the transactions didnt go thru and the orders couldnt be placed. All attempts to clear these pending charges for incomplete transactions were met by total indifference, incompetence, misinformation, total ignorance and ultimately refusal to correct the problems AAFES employees and system caused. This happened multiple times during a period of 2 weeks. The accounting system is totally faulty and unlike any other vendors. Despite my military service of 27 years this is what I got from an entitled group of people who are paid despite poor performance, unpbespeakabe incompetence and rudeness. They dont have to earn it, they get paid and funded despite poor performance and loosing custome. AAFES Is characteristic of an organization that doesnt have to perform to exist. The title of customer service representative is a misnomer these people are neither customer friendly, nor service oriented, and they are definitely not reps. They are a collection of ignorant parasites on society. If one wants to get frustrated and infuriated one should try shopping on SHOPMYEXCHANGE, or call AAFES to buy something or correct a problem that they caused. AAFES is a DINOSAUR that should have been extinct long ago.

This is the Headquarters building of the Exchange (AAFES). You need ID to enter the grounds and be eligible to shop. It only has a small express store in it, with Starbucks available in the food court (All other food options have been closed). You may have ship to store done at this location however if it is a large item like television, washer dryer or refrigerator you will need to make it to the building before 3:30 pm as the items are left on the receiving dock for the headquarters building and it closes at 4:00pm. It is best to have these large items delivered to your home. Small items are kept on a cage in the express store and will be available until the store closes.

Covid hours are 7-4:30 Mon -Fri but shows they are open until 6 on Friday. Please update your website. I also ordered a bed frame and dresser and both were broken when delivered and I don t even know how to return it seeing as both are really heavy and I can t carry them to my car. I m so upset and frustrated at this point

Pointless to buy online and pick it up there. It took forever to get in the building. Once inside I was told that my order really wasn t paid for and that I would have to pay to get it. Since I used a gift card to pay for half of it, I have to call some 800 number get them to refund the gift card and then reorder. So what the hell was I told that my order was ready for then?! I went all the way there for nothing. I will NEVER choose to pick up from there again.

The Exchange, or BX or PX as it is better known by the mostly military members that use it, is a massive global monopoly that controls most stores, commerce and dining options on U.S. Air Force and Army installations. Sadly, its prices are generally higher than most U.S. shopping options, particularly Walmart and Amazon. This is particularly true of fast food offerings overseas, where prices are significantly higher than the U.S., and U.S. coupons and app discounts are not accepted. Many Exchange items are much cheaper at on-base commissaries (grocery stores). Their online product offerings are similarly disappointing. The Exchange does offer to price match, but only items that are regularly priced, and the price match is limited to one item per customer per day. The best deals are found during the holidays in November and December, when there are frequent discount programs, promotions and a few great deals, like $199 laptop computers on Black Friday. Look for clearance and weekly sale items, which can be a good deal since stores do not charge state sales taxes. Be aware that its weekly flyers and other booklets illustrate many items that are NOT on sale. Also, its Military Star credit card is not really competitive with others. This credit card limits online payments to once a week with a maximum payment of $2500, unless the entire balance is paid. This can result in significant interest payments! The USAA credit card has better incentives, with 5% cash back on gasoline and 2% back on grocery shopping. Military Star snail mails gift cards in $20 increments which can only be used at the Exchange. Ive waited over a month for my gift cards, and have no idea if they have been lost or stolen. USAA and Pentagon Credit Union simply refunds earnings back to credit card users.

AAFES is in business to make items available to military members worldwide. If you can find a cheaper price at your local Walmart then go there. They cant always have rock bottom prices on everything because they have to ship items to garden spots like Afghanistan and other FOBs. When did Walmart ever do that? Also, unless a military base is completely closed, the AAFES location stays open even if operating at a loss in order to provide service to the people they serve. Walmart and other providers will just close the store and move on. Think before you bash.

Deceptive business practices. Definitely dont support our troops. They advertised $75 Coach watches on their site on clearance. I bought one online and paid for it. A week later they emailed me and said they couldnt send it. I called and they said they were sold out and wouldnt get any more in stock. I told them they actually still had these watches on their site but now they were shown at $150 each. They said yes, that I was welcome to buy one but Id have to pay them another $75 extra. Isnt bait and switch illegal? Spoke with a manager and the most intelligent thing he had to say was thats just how it is.
