Great hidden gem. Look for the pair of unmarked doors underneath an awning between Leelas and HG Sply. Pull on the handle of the door on the left, and youre inside. Dimly lit, and calm enough to hear your date, Apothecary is just what youre looking for. Moises helped us and was extremely knowledgeable of the cocktail menu. He was attentive and checked back in on is at just the right intervals, not hovering over us, and not forgetting about us either. We were on a mission this night, so just a drink n dip on this occasion, but it was exactly what we wanted - cozy, intimate, swank, and chill. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend!

Overall: 3.5/5 *Make Reservations* I would return here just hope that I dont get the same waitress. Great drinks, if there were any background music playing didnt hear it or it was just low enough that I can have a conversation withthe people next to me let alone with the group of x14 Exterior: 3.25/5 An unmarked door with faux candles on both sides, but ruined it by having velvet robes leading to it?? really takes away from the chase of looking for a speakeasy. Label it Kitchen staff only at the most or just the candles lamps. Atmosphere: Think hunter cabin meets secret society of Aristocrats in a basement. (the exposed roof rafters really sets the visuals for a basement) Great décor very nice wall art and wallpaper. Dress-code: none, but dont come casual... its a speakeasy, liven it up a bit for what it is. Men: Ranging from oversized plain Tees & jeans/chinos w/Vejas to sports coat with Chelsea boots, and either a polo or button down shirt. Women: they were all dressed accordingly for a speakeasy. Service: 2.5/5 * Had a surprise B-day celebration here, the atmosphere was really worth it. Our waitress was very attentive, but what started out as great service became just annoying since she kept pestering every 10mins and trying to have our party constantly order more items. The guidelines for large parties of over 8 people is minimal x2 drinks per person, which is fine. This can be offset this by ordering food and snacks as well as the non-alcoholic drinks. Secondly, we already surpassed our min. cap and we had about 20-30min left on the reservation; the waitress had the audacity to inform us we can leave and go to another establishment if we just want to stay and chitchat. She reminded us that us that we had 30mins left on our tables, but if no one wants anything else then we can leave since she had another table arriving later. Hella rude. Third, an added 3% fee (from the total...) for Employee health & benefits. This is a surprise to me... whether it be a Greenville, Dallas or something the owners just dont offer it and burden us with it, not about it yalls prob. This is venting because Id still comeback its one of the better speakeasy spots available. Drinks: 4/5 Great variety of mixed cocktails to choose from. They even had non-alcoholic beverages as a choice was a surprise very inclusive of them to do so. kudos. Presentation of the cocktails and glassware selected to serve them in was exceptional. Parking: arrive 20-30min early to circle the streets for parking its Greenville and this area can really get/stay busy fast. We parked across the street at Gallo Nero only by chance.

Apothecary is a beautiful and whimsical space with a play on Alice in Wonderland. Make sure you get reservations because the space is tight. Service is amazing. Drinks are a hit or miss, but they have a great variety for everyone in your party. The neighborhood it is located in (lower Greenville) is a little busy. I would not necessarily say it is a grown vibe, but it is a good place for after dinner drinks.

We were looking forward to this place and drive an hour to get there. It was super busy and packed so we couldnt even get in and when we tried to walk in when the answering machine said they accept walk ins we were laughed at and told that it was full. Before we waited at least 10 minutes outside while the waitress kept ignoring us. Wouldve been great to let people you see wait to be told that youre full or maybe have like a sign or something instead of getting ignored by stuck up rude waitresses outside.

Service was exceptional. The server was very knowledgeable about all the drinks and food. The only reason for the 4 Star is because the portions were small for the price. But the food tasted great. Other than that, the drinks were amazing! The ambience-excellent! So much to see around the restaurant that was Alice in Wonderland themed. The bartender was very friendly as well. He came by and brought us lemon juice and a lime when we ordered the Dee and Dum cocktail! I will definitely be back! Short ribs and croquet madam were a good portion of food and were the best tasting. The rest were more like appetizers.

I loved the atmosphere of this place. It s hidden but not hard to find. the seating is orderly, very comfortable, and conducive to good conversation amongst your party, and maybe some interaction with others. The lighting is fantastic, as is their decor. My party went during their Alice and wonderland event, we had an excellent time. The menus for their events are really cool. The menus are pamphlets almost like a comic book, some of the art work I suspect was ai generated, but it was still really good and that did not detract from the experience. As far as speakeasy experiences go, this one was fantastic. All of the food and drink items were tailored to the theme, all items were fantastic. Some of the drinks were hit or miss for my girlfriend whose taste in alcohol I describe as candy, but they had options that could cater to every palette. The service was mixed in quality. The gentleman who I would describe as a freshmen English professor seemed to get annoyed with us when we tried to order (unbeknownst to us) items that were out of stock. The younger woman was friendly. The food was very unique my party ordered a myriad of items including caviar steak fries, meatballs, crab bites, and some curry things, and somthing that I would describe as Gulab jamun stuffed with fresh butter. my parties opinions ranged from from good but not great, to god damn delicious. Only one issue, on this outing no one had more than 2 drinks at a reasonable pace, and no one over ate. The following morning all three of us were had symptoms congruent to food poisoning so much so that I did not attend school, and my friend did not go to work in the morning. The experience as a whole was excellent, but walking away from a $200/3 people tab with food poisoning is unsat.

As soon as we arrived, I could tell by the small details outside that it was going to be an Alice in Wonderland themed bar. As soon as we stepped inside, my theory was confirmed. The decor itself is cute and whimsical, from the furniture hanging upside down from the ceiling to the movie posters in multiple languages. The menu was a storybook, which was really cool. I had the Unbirthday Cake Fizz and I was shocked that it tasted just like drinking a liquid birthday cake. This is my favorite flavor, but it can be done so poorly so I was nervous when I ordered it. I think we came on a busy night because service was funny and friendly, but really busy. We didn t try any food while we were there, but their menu did look interesting. Overall, definitely a fun place to check out! Parking: There is parking behind the bar, but it s shared with several other buildings and it s very cramped.

Neat bar with a intimate and romantic atmosphere, nice place to try if you want to impress a date. Menu (booklet) was overwhelming with their theme and had lots of intricate drinks. Not a fan of mixed drinks so I went with red wine that cost $17 dollar a pop for about 6 oz. Quite absurd given it s a single ingredient and all they have to do is pour. Not sure how they justify expensive drinks in a gentrified area. Tried their cheddar fritters which were not bad, but oddly sweet. Hostess was kind and flexible which can be rare. Good service! Not a place I m eager to go back to.

Pros: Amazing, cozy well designed space. Cool vibe. Chill atmosphere. Huge drink menu, lots of food. Cons: Mediocre service. Drinks not amazing. Food not good. We went there to just hang out and have a great Saturday night. Every drink we all had was just off a bit. Not poorly made, but every drink had one flavor that just took it from amazing to merely OK. None of us could rave about one drink we had and all of us had a bit of variety. Nobody tasted anyones drink and said wow, I want that!!! The food was not great. The risotto was hard, the cheese fritters not even finished and the funnel cake fries were simply no flavor covered in oil. Stay away from the food. Cant say why-and none of us drank a lot-every one of us woke up sick in the middle of the night. One threw up 6 hrs after we were there, generally a sign of some food issue (not a virus because they felt way better after throwing up and definitely not drunk from 3 same alcohol drinks over 2 hrs), and myself and my wife both felt the same way. Queasy, nauseas and just not right. I felt like I would throw up but fought through it and felt better in the AM. Its a shame because the vibe is amazing, but I simply wont be back. I want a place where the drinks are amazing, the food good and where I dont feel sick later for paying $85/pp for a 2 hr night out.

Sublime, possibly #1 in both food and cocktails we ve had anywhere in the city. Service and ambiance were great too, but wow. I would give this place 6 stars if I could, and the chefs and mixologists here are world class. Their cocktails are incredibly creative too, it s a good place for the adventurous. For example, if you ve ever ordered a spicy/savory cocktail and really hoped it would be unique, their Scorpio cocktail is a bullseye. But whatever you pick, I think you can t go wrong. The best things we had there were the oysters, Jamaican beef patties, and chicken 65 tacos. Beef tartare was good, but the others were better. Cocktails were age of Aquarius, better than expected, scorpio, grape expectations, and 20th century fennel. All amazing, the 20th century fennel is more of a refresher drink than a deep combo of flavors, which was also great. You need to try this place, though I d suggest just two unless you have a reservation.

8/27/23, we had a small group get together for drinks. A minor incident came up with a drink we had ordered, many times before. It was extremely sweet, everyone had agreed, not the drink Ive had before at this location. I asked the waiter if their was an issue with what I had ordered, he proceeded to push back on almost everything I was saying which made questioning the drink seem unwarranted and awkward infront of the group ( he states ive been here for a year, how the drink is made there versus what im asking for, and that the drink has never been made any different since hes worked there ). My opinion, he should have simply asked me what was wrong with the drink or offered an alternative instead of knocking down my questions as if they were personal jabs toward him or Apothecary. It would be one thing if I had been critiquing how to make the drink, im only pointing out... it was hyper sweet, likely accidental. Due to that confrontation, we immediately left, it killed the mood to remain their any longer. Likely my last time there. Our group lost interest in going back as well.

Food was foodie, cocktails are fancy, atmosphere is along the lines of speakeasy. Only complaint is that the (non-live) music was on the loud side so it was hard to hear conversation (more in line with what youd expect from a non-fancy bar). A good place to go for a special night out. (We only ordered cocktails (5) and appetizers for 4 people and the bill was $200 so its probably not an every week place for most, though half that bill was for the drinks) The parking lot behind the little shopping center is tight, but manageable, but expect to be making 3 point (or more) turns, even if you have a small car.

I would describe our visit as unfortunate. We have been to Apothecary in the past and loved our experience this time the service was nothing short of abysmal. We arrived for our 5:45 reservation at 5:30, and we were seated in the corner by the door. The table is so close to the metal wall that the banging whenever anyone opened the door was very disruptive and made the seating undesirable. Unfortunately that was the least of the issues. We had a member of the staff come by the table as soon as we sat down and take our drink order, he was very dismissive and rude when asked questions about the drinks. He dropped our drinks off and that was the last we saw of him. All three tables in our area never had waitstaff return to take food or additional drink orders. We saw our waiter behind the bar, so I tried to catch his attention by waving at him multiple times and he promptly would look the other direction. I tried to get the hostesses attention multiple times as well, and again ignored. Finally at 6:30 I chased the hostess down at the bar and asked for our bill because if we were going to have any chance of eating dinner we had to leave and hope for another restaurant to have an open table. We were prepared to order apps and a main course and likely 3 drinks each through courses, so the restaurant not only lost out on another $250 on the bill, but we will never return after this experience. I have never eaten somewhere that is considered a high end, high price establishment then been completely ignored after one drink was dropped off. Severely disappointing. I had to rate the food a 1 because we didnt get to even order!

The ambiance of this place is fantastic, but unfortunately, we were let down by the food. The Vegan Crab cake bites were excessively tangy, the Ficacia bread with pork dip was overly salty, chedder fritters were undercooked, and the Caviar bites had hardly any caviar (only 2-6 pieces). Weve had better experiences elsewhere, so we know what were looking for here. All in all, Wed return for the drinks, vibes, and service, but not for the food.

We only had cocktails here but this is a great place for an intimate evening with a couple people or a date. It is literally tucked into a dark corner and toy could easily miss it if you dont look for the small sign. The service is wonderful and they truly aim to make sure you enjoy your experience and drink. We went on a Sunday and it wasnt crowded but I went again on a Saturday and had to wait for a bar seat for about 5 minutes.

This is a great place to explore some new cocktails and eats. Sitting at a table, it felt like we didn t really have a server dedicated to us. The vibe was very much someone wanders by and will bring you another drink if you must. I would expect a bit more dedicated service for a place at this price point. Also, the music was very eclectic and varied which was nice. However, the tracks weren t balanced in volume, so some songs would end the conversation just because they were too loud.

You really gotta mess up to sell drinks on Greenville but this place nailed it. Snobby attitude, cheaply thrown together interior, poor execution on staple drinks, and absurd 3 seats per table policy lol. After sitting at a table for 30 minutes manager mentions we have 10 minutes to finish before the next reservation while waiting on a food order still in the kitchen. Then offers coupons for drinks next time hahaha. Coupons at a $15/drink spot?!?! Go to Standard Service, Midnight Rambler or Lounge Here for a proper cocktail. Edit: I find it REALLY interesting that a majority of new reviews are coming from accounts with no review history. Fake it til you make it, am I right?

Wife and I tried this place for our Valentines day dinner. Its a small place but decent atmosphere. Food really is just soso, nothing special. Pathetic serving size, many of the entrées served were one dish for the table and you are expected to share. Price tag of a Michelin 2 stars/French Room but the food is not at the same level. Oh and did I mention this place force you to pay extra (5% or something) for their employees wellness fund in additional to the 20% tip? what a joke the owner sure got guts to ask for that.

While I dont love very spirit-forward cocktails, they were still good and well-crafted. The space itself is small so I recommend making reservations if youre going during peak hours. Ive been talking about coming here for weeks because the food and drinks looked really interesting. We tried to get in a while ago but they had a really long wait but the mystery of the whole place just made it more enticing. Its in a non-descript building with no windows with only a tiny brass sign out in front with the name so very easy to miss. When you open the door the entrance is cloaked in black light blocking curtains so you may think you just walked into the wrong place. Cool vibe inside, quiet, and the service was good. The food was interesting but for the price point it was a bit of a miss. We got the charcuterie board, the green eggs and jamon, and the 65 chicken(curry chicken) and I cant say that any of them were very impressive. The curry was pretty spicy so brace yourself for that. With that said, this place is all about the drinks. Some very interesting choices on the menu, the server recommended the Pekin Tom which is their take on a Peking duck dish in the form of an old fashioned. Yes, you read correctly..... a duck flavored old fashioned. It wasnt my favorite and the drinks were expensive but I would come back and try more of them because theyre very creative. All-in-all, 3.5 stars, well probably come back to try more. @DallasFoodFun
