Ordered fried chicken with bone-in, it was the best! Cole slaw is mediocre. Huge homemade flaky biscuits with peach preserves and honey butter, yummy!! Ordered a dod xxs Machado was very disappointed. Our check was not right, so make sure you double check what you are pay for. Good restaurant, but pricey!!!!

I used to frequent Whistle Britches for dine in often when there was a female manager. She was professional and attentive. She would greet the customers and make sure things were ok. Today I called in for Take Out order for lunch. When I arrived at work I realized there were no cutlery to eat my food in the bag, and the fried chicken had lost its crunch and like Another reviewer said, the chicken was Under-seasoned. I called to speak to the manager, before the manager came to the line he needed to know the customer (for what reason, I do not know) what should matter is there was a unsatisfied customer on the phone. I began to tell him there was no cutlery in the To Go order. He proceeded to tell me, I was supposed to grab my own. How would a customer know that? Especially without anyone telling them. Are we to go behind the counter and grab things?? Instead of understanding the issue, he wanted to go back and forth. His poor customer service and the lack of seasoning and Detail lost Whistle Britches another customer. There are several new restaurants that have popped up in Addison, no one is willing to spend their money for poor customer service and subpar food.

The chicken and waffles is my fav dish! And the creamed corn jalapeño honey cornbread is my fav appetizer! Love the honey butter. Yummy mimosas. However, the service seems to be slow every time, even if it s slow in there. And the inside is always way too cold. Other than that, it s a great spot.

I was expecting the food to be great, but it was better than great. Fried Green Tomato BLT was unlike anything Ive ever had. Definitely a place to go if you truly enjoy good food. Edit: went a second time, and it must have been an off day. Got the Fried Green Tomato BLT again, but it wasnt nearly as good as last time, which is okay. I dont expect perfection every time. Tried the three cheese mac and garlic butter fries and had to send both back after only a couple bites. The mac and cheese was watery and had no flavor. I think it was also missing half of the intended ingredients. The fries were crazy bad. Tasted like they were ordered from McDonalds, left to sit on the counter for a couple hours, then tossed back into the fryer and covered in more salt.

I use the word leftovers because Im a pretty damn good cook myself , I know what reheated food tastes and looks like! 1 for food that was reheated and dry. Cant forget about the long piece of black hair and the upset stomach I had for 2 days. You know the kind u get when uncleaned hands are involved 4 for the waiter but needs work on accommodating customers with hair in their food. 5 nice restaurant but needs work on food prep if their plans are adopting the concept of ida claires

Meh, they have high quality components. The meals just don t quite hit the mark. The colonel - good fried chicken, doesn t come with enough gravy. The ham slice was super thin, not sure why they bothered there. I just wanted fried chicken with biscuits and gravy anyway so it was fine. Was a little sad that the Over easy Eggs were over cooked. And It comes with a side of potato chips (chips? Really?) or you can pay $2 for a normal side. cheesy grits are ok, they come with a white cheese on top. Not enough jalapeno and cheddar would have been better visually and for flavor. Last time I was here I tried the Benedict and that wasn t to my taste either. The mustard and pimento cheese combo didn t fit well together but it s been a few years so maybe that s changed. The killa bee was tasty! Would order that again. They do have a jalapeño syrup that no one would share so maybe that s worth trying, and the fried chicken is good, I just haven t found a setup I like.

The General Manager has a nasty attitude I feel sorry for anyone who works under him, I really did enjoy this place until I met Ian, he shouldn t be over anyone I have never in life been treated so awful by a manager, I applied for a job at this location which someone told me they are always hiring, however upon meeting Ian he informed me that he could send me to the Plano location which I explained to him, I live across the street from this location which is when he could ve said we can hold onto your application and when we need someone I can give you a call this industry is forever hiring because most jobs will be part-time. Ian didn t even take the time to really speak with me, I took the time to apply and was basically turned away pretty quick by Ian, I also let him know I did not want to work for him after I felt looked down on, he stated I don t want you too. I now have a very bad impression of this location and will not spend a dime in here ever again SMH, if I feel like I want to enjoy the food I will go to the Plano location thanks for the tip Ian

Ive really enjoyed Whistle Britches in the past, but have had some subpar experiences recently. We went on Sunday for brunch after daylight savings time, so it was fairly empty. Despite this, our server was inattentive, missing changes to our orders, leaving us with empty drinks, etc. They cook some incredible chicken and I love their house hot sauces, but other items were poor, including unforgivably undercooked breakfast potatoes. Ill be back, in the hopes that service and quality improve to what Ive come to expect going here for almost a decade.

Mediocre The price you pay should definitely reflect the quality of food. This place does not. Fries soggy with no seasoning. Macaroni has little to no cheese on it. Only thing they got right was bacon and it s very hard to mess that up, so not a huge win. I hope if someone orders this they get some effort put into the food.

I m happy this place is close and available for some tasty food and drinks. They have some interesting cocktails, good local beers, and more on the drink menu. Food wise there is a brunch/lunch menu and a dinner menu. For starters, the corn fritters are so good. Crispy and full of corn with a nicely spiced sauce. I didn t try the skillet cornbread on this visit but have in the past and it s delicious. Perfect with honey butter and the honey available at the table. For lunch I couldn t pass up the Love Me Tender with four good sized, crispy tenders, a giant biscuit, and potato salad or slaw. I was torn as I love them both but went with the potato salad. Good choice. It was creamy and mustardy with nice chunks of potato. The biscuit wasn t as tender as usual but still good. Especially with some butter and honey mixed with their in house hot sauce. Service was good. She was friendly and food came out hot. Drinks were refilled as needed. It s a good restaurant with many delicious items on the menu. Enjoy!

Visited for the first time on Friday 1-5-24. We stood at the front waiting for someone to acknowledge us longer than necessary. We were ignored long enough to walk out. The restaurant wasn t full at all and we were the only people waiting The young lady cleaning tables attempted to get the attention of at least 3 people to greet us. One looked at us twice and ignored us. We finally were greeted by someone on the wait staff and taken to her table. When I told her what had occurred, she made excuses for the one that ignored us twice. The food was good but I ll try a different location. I was not happy about the customer service but we traveled a good distance to try the restaurant. ~Vakita Mitchell

Hostess was completely rude. We brought our daughters and our puppy. She looked at our puppy and sent us outside. Like she was upset because we had our puppy. Our server was amazing. Please get a new hostess. She ruined our experience. My daughters were very upset. We will not be back until she is gone.

Whistle Britches is always great for brunch. The portions are huge so you may want to share. My wife and I usually share the chicken and waffles but this time we each got the whistle britches sandwich with a side loaded potatoes and mac & cheese, bacon (extra crispy), and 2 eggs. I also recommend the hazy IPA or mimosa / frozé. Parking: Parking can be difficult around peak time

Charming staff. My favorite fried chicken spot. Terrible for my gluten intolerant gut......But the food is too good to avoid! Vegetarian options: They have several options....check the menu!

Food is always delicious! I felt the 2 dollar upcharge for fries that tasted like frozen fries was a bit much. Especially with the plethora of jams and things that they give that I dont even eat. The tall skinny white female with short black hair was very rude, and acted as if she couldnt be bothered with me because I had a take out order, which is why I only tipped 5 dollars.

This restaurant excels in both food quality and pricing, but has significant room for improvement in customer service. The culinary offerings are outstanding, scoring a perfect 5/5 for both taste and affordability, including their exceptionally priced cosmos. However, the customer service experience detracts from the overall dining experience. Key areas for improvement include: 1. **Staffing and Service Efficiency**: The lack of a dedicated host at the stand resulted in slow service. Our host, Pablo, was commendably managing multiple roles including hosting, taking orders, and serving, which impacted service efficiency. 2. **Customer Interaction and Consistency**: It is crucial for servers to consistently treat every customer with equal attention and enthusiasm. While Pablo provided commendable service, another staff member, a blonde lady with a notably loud voice, displayed selective engagement with customers. This inconsistency in customer treatment was evident and detrimental to the dining experience. 3. **Communication and Food Service**: There was a noticeable delay in food service, and a lack of communication about this delay to the guests. Although the food was freshly prepared, the staff failed to assure guests about the wait time or offer alternatives in the interim. 4. **Dining Environment**: Given the intimate setting of the restaurant, the selective service by the aforementioned staff member was particularly conspicuous and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for some diners. In conclusion, while the food quality and pricing at this establishment are commendable, there is a significant need for improvement in customer service. Addressing these issues could greatly enhance the overall dining experience and potentially increase the customer base. Despite these concerns, the quality of the food, particularly the chicken, makes this restaurant worth revisiting. It is recommended to support and provide constructive feedback to local businesses to aid their growth and success. By profession I am an auditor with extensive issue management experience so I gave this review a professional feedback though this was a leisure dine in experience.

We were visiting from out of town and starving. This little restaurant was very deceiving from the outside. Very warm cozy atmosphere once walking in. Our group of 4 ordered a variety cuz everything sounded so good on the menu. We tried the Pot pie and salad, both amazing. Mashed potatoes, fries amazing. Great flavors. The Chicken was nothing short of phenomenal. We even bought more chicken to take to go. Service was great. When we return for a visit this is definitely a new go-to for the perfect comfort food!

Its a shame this place seems to be overlooked. The C.F.S. was beautifully seasoned and put together. Make sure you order some extra gravy though. The beans are seasoned with rosemary&thyme. The Happy Hour is Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. I can only recommend the Killer Bee. It has a nice strawberry puree flavor and quite a kick. I love sitting on the patio, theres plenty of shade under the scorching sun. The servers are always friendly and helpful. Such a treat to go here! Parking: Plenty of parking all around. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps to the entrance and patio.

Whristle Britches Dallas is a solid choice for brunch. A small mis-communication situation happened about the reservation, was resolved shortly. Parking here is not the greatest because there are only so many available slots for the restaurant. The food prices are very reasonable. Great service by the wait staff. They offer an outdoor and indoor experience. We originally had a table outdoors but opted for an indoor table because of the flies and bees. The chicken tenders were just okay. Dont expect well seasoned chicken here. The brunch options were kind of basic. We expected the shrimp and grits to be offered as a brunch option, but was actually on the dinner menu. The cocktails and mocktails were decent. Parking: There was free parking, but the place is packed. So get there early to find an open spot.
