Solid spot for beer nerds and casual drinker alike. Comfortable outdoor space that is dog, bike and runner friendly. Good service although bartenders can be gruff and managers are often not very attentive when staff is in the weeds. Don t miss their award winning house made beer: IPO IPA. Food seems an afterthought.

White Rock Alehouse plays really loud live music every Friday night that disrupts my quiet enjoyment of my home. I am sure it is a fine establishment but the music is a nuisance and they should be more considerate of the people who live in the apartment complexes next door.

Only two bc the space itself is really aesthetically appealing, but aesthetics are where the positives end. I ordered three different cocktails and they all were out, they offered me a Frose to try, but took one sip and didn t like it, but they still charged me for it. (The server just brought it out to me, I never said yes to wanting to try it). Forgot my friends draft beer order, it took 45 min to get it and we gave her 2 gentle reminders about it (they were very busy, but I think the server was overwhelmed and just forgot ). They seem to be incredibly understaffed bc everyone else near us at the bar seemed to be waiting to get drinks/ food/ service. Also most of the menu on the website was inaccurate (even our server pointed out that the site was fake )

White Rock Alehouse and Brewery did a fantastic job hosting the registration for the New Year s 5K race. Their hospitality added a lot to the event, making it a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. After the race, they provided delicious burritos and mimosas, which were just what we needed after a chilly morning run. The food and drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere at White Rock was welcoming and friendly. Their contribution really enhanced the race day experience. A big thank you to them for their support and for being such a great part of the event!

We wanted a table but no one was there to seat us as the sign requested. my burger had a hair in it and which admittedly could be mine so I didn t say anything. But the bar tender didn t ask about how the food came out or if we needed anything or say thanks for coming in. Do yourself a favor and go to the pizza place across the street.

Came in to get some drinks with some friends tonight. Beer was pretty good. However the waitress seemed disinterested and forgot to bring drinks, which was fine at first but she became visibly more annoyed with us every time we ordered something. Finally, at 10:15, she came over and asked if we were ordering anything else and we said no, and she responded GOOD. As if we were being rude by ordering drinks? Idk. We were all stunned that she would be that hostile with us, so I was afraid that maybe we had gotten the closing time wrong since there weren t many people left, so I asked if closing was still at 11, and she glared at me and grumbled yes. Now, I completely understand being annoyed at people for staying past closing time, but we still had another 45 minutes. She then proceeded to start grabbing a bunch of stuff off the table aggressively, including drinks we weren t finished with and basically taking a glass out of one of the girls hands while she was drinking it. Again, this was at 10:15, and we confirmed that closing time was at 11 as was posted online. Obviously she was in a rush to leave since we saw her throw her coat on and storm out immediately after we got our checks. I get eager to get home after a long shift at my job too. But maybe this waitress should reconsider signing up for later shifts if she gets that grumpy late at night. We ended up leaving at 10:30 anyway Maybe that was past her bedtime?

Visiting from out of town and took my dog here. Assumed it would be OK as most breweries are dog friendly. Stepped inside stood next to the sign that said please wait to be seated. Then I got asked if I could be helped(?) I asked if my dog was OK. They said no-we had to go out on the patio So, went out to a patio and waited for like 10 minutes in the 110 degree heat without a cold beer to provide relief. Finally someone came out and asked if I needed a menu. At that point I had enough and decided to leave. Ideally, the server would have taken a cue from the sign and determined that I was waiting to be seated. Maybe said something to the effect of Unfortunately we don t allow dogs inside. If you d like to take a seat on the patio someone will be out to help you shortly. The food might be good, the beer might be great. But if you have a dog I wouldn t bother finding out. There s plenty of other breweries in Dallas.

We came in today at 12:30. Although many tables were open we waited several minutes to be seated. My daughter finally approached a server and asked to be seated. First red flag. After being seated we again waited for a server to approach; again several minutes. Second red flag. Finally a server, who was friendly enough, arrived. After taking our orders and bringing a beer and mimosa to our table, she brought waters and flatware. Then the serious waiting began. Just as my husband was ready to tell the staff we were leaving our food was served. Some of it was decent, some not so much. The buffalo chicken flatbread for instance had approximately six to eight bite size pieces of chicken sprinkled around. We ordered two desserts; a root beer float for our granddaughter and key lime pie for the adults to share. Our granddaughter was almost finished with the float before the key lime pie showed up. I might give this place a second chance; my husband not so much.

We ve been going to White Rock Alehouse for many years. A few weeks back I got an email asking for business because they said the construction at their intersection was hurting their business. It is a mess right now, they ve always had good food. To be frank, we stopped going because the female bartender was always really rude. But whatever, we went back tonight to help them through this rough spell because it s a nice place to stop in at when we re riding our bikes around the lake. So we d like to see it survive. We had wings and two Alehouse Salads. The wings were good but the salad was quite bad. The lettuce was badly browning that it was hard to find enough green salad to eat (just to be nice and not leave a complete salad uneaten). Seems like this rough spell isn t just hurting their business it also seems to be hurting their judgement. Not sure why the kitchen would send that salad out or why the waiter would deliver it to our table. Very disappointed. The picture shows portions of the salad to badly wilted/browning to eat.

She asked if I wanted another to which I decided to just get something else. Ordered flatbread/pizza but it was just as bad and tasted like it was microwaved. This place had so much potential! We just moved to the neighborhood and were hoping to make it our neighborhood spot. We waited 45 minutes for someone to come take our order and finally my husband went inside to order. We waited about 45 minutes longer and went back inside to check but they had cancelled the order because they mixed up our table number and thought we left, but they didn t offer to fix it. By the time our waiter came it had been almost 2 hours and we were starving, even though there was only one other couple on the patio. I hope this place is able to improve their customer service because it s a cool spot but we aren t planning to come back anytime soon.

*Dog Friendly Patio* UPDATE: 2 weeks after first review... Gave it another try... I did mention to our server in a nice way how the food wasn t up to par... Evan was extremely friendly and attentive... I ordered same items as well as their Buffalo chicken dip (had good flavor but portion was rather small).... Food was much better. I gave 4 stars... want to see how the 3rd visit will be. 1st Review: Ok I m new to Dallas and live across the street. Read the reviews and thought we ll slow service can t be too too bad because it will give me time to carry on a conversation with my friend. 1. Had to ask for some assistance to place order for drinks. 2. Waitress was pleasant, she did check on us often 3. Atmosphere was nice 4. Ordered food - came out rather quickly and they seemed to have a good crowd. 5. Ordered waffle fries - they seemed little under cooked or not cooked enough. Yes we sat outside but we didn t let the food sit long enough to be as cold as it was. Taste was ok but I m sure would have been much better it would have been hot. 6. Ordered the margherita flatbread. This too came out rather cold. The bread was like it was microwaved and not toasty like from an oven, and the cheese wasn t that great. This too had a great flavor BUT could have gotten 5 stars if the food would have been hotter and tasted fresher. We had our drinks, laughed, enjoyed our conversation and because we enjoyed each other s company - we ate the food and didn t complain. I might try it again... crossing fingers food will be much better.

Stick with the beer. I ordered the fish and chips. The whitefish was mush in a gross fried batter. The sweet potato fries were cold and soggy. I could describe the other orders but none were any better. I would NOT eat here again even if I was paid to do so.

Everything was great. I was at a table with several others and we took advantage of Taco Tuesday. They were quite tasty. My friends also enjoyed some brussel sprouts and loved them. I got the loaded waffle fries. They were good and were basically like nachos with waffle fries instead of chips. The cocktail also get 2 thumbs up.

Came for lunch on a Saturday - had to have brunch menu which was quite small. The shandy beer was delicious but the sad excuse for sides with my breakfast sandwich made me laugh. The hash browns were smaller than a woman s fist and I don t know who d eat the 5 pieces of lettuce with one cherry tomato that was on the plate. The sausage patty was well seasoned but didn t pair right with chipotle mayo, too many flavors. The burger my friend ordered was apparently good but the fries were so bland you needed ketchup to feel like not eating a plain potato run through the frying oil. Positives were vibes and beer, not food.

The older lady bartender for whatever reason didn t not serve me as other establishments would or as I believe she should have. I used to be a bartender so I know to check on everyone I serve. Each couple on both sides of me both got refills and asked if the needed more drinks. I am alone and I have no chairs with a big gap on both sides of me. So I know she must be aware I am here. I have been here before and haven t had an issue but then again I was served by another bartender. Ok, while typing this review she came and asked if I wanted another drink. But she was bringing the couple next to me food and was facing my way. I know she s been here forever because every time I ve been here I ve seen her here. I know and I get she s busy but if she s checking on both sides of a person who is sitting alone, just check on the person in the middle.

What a train wreck! Lets start with a limited menu of pure garbage. The Flatbread was basically cardboard with limited sauce and scant meat. As a bonus, the childrens pepperoni is $10! Why not just forbid kids? The $14 recommended ahi tacos was a disaster of frozen, smelly old tuna. The chicken in the chicken salad was as moist as the Sahara. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones who comes only for the overpriced, $9 beer. Avoid this catastrophe at all costs. As an added bonus, the restroom and restaurant as a whole were absolutely filthy. Run! Oh, the manager was dressed as a SAG vs.tag team member of Terrell wrestling night!

Very limited brunch menu and the food just isn t that good. There are 4 options to choose from and the difference between 2 of them (the Breakfast Sandwich versus the Daystarter) is just sausage versus bacon. From the pictures on Google, looks like they had some good brunch options in the past, but it s pretty lackluster right now. The Breakfast Sandwich had the most pitiful looking sausage patty I have ever seen. Also, it was burnt to a crisp. Home fries are kinda tasteless. A few pieces of pepper are mixed in, but it s all starchy bland potato with no seasoning. The booth seats are painful to sit on for an extended period of time. It s a sharp 90 degree seat without any lumbar. One big omission from the menu is non-alcoholic beverages. I think they have some? Beer is good and there are some good outside options in addition to their house beer which has a great variety of different styles to try. Just wish their food was better.

As a weekly regular I didn t think I d be leaving this review but last week I had an experience that made me never want to return to WRAH. My friends and I were weekly regulars on Tuesday evenings for trivia. We have been triviaing there since before the pandemic and we re excited to return a few months ago when White Rock started up again. When we started back, we immediately noticed a change in the quality of the waitstaff. It took longer to get attention from a staff member, and often a piece of our order or part of a request was missing (forgotten side of fries or missing ketchup). We chalked it up to people being new or there not being enough waitstaff but this became a constant experience. As time passed, the service got worse, our table often having to flag down a staff member to have our order taken. Last week we were ignored by one staff member and we tried to get her to take our order, but she refused. Eventually a different staff member came to take our order and we asked her why the first staff member wouldn t help us, she didn t have an answer. The second staff member took our order and gave us okay service but became visibly annoyed when we closed our tabs with gift cards. We won the gift cards at trivia and use them often but rarely close our tabs with them. This was the first time I remember doing so and when she went to leave without me leaving a tip, I called her back and tried to hand her my credit card. She asked what it was for and I said the tip. She pushed it back to me saying you can t leave a tip on a balance closed with a gift card. I mentioned I didn t know that and she said yeah, well I thought you did and walked away. I was surprised by her rudeness considering we see her every week and tip every time. We tip on top of the fact that this waitress usually charges our group, four people, gratuity. Maybe the service is better on the weekends, but The service I get on Tuesday evenings doesn t make me want to return later in the week. The food has become a subpar experience as well, the last two things I purchased were overcooked. While I understand food costs have gone up, no one wants to pay $14 for a burnt sandwich. The one good thing about this place is the beer. I really wish they still had the jalapeño beer they make because it was top tier. Yes, I know it s seasonal, but which season? Because we ve gone through Winter, Spring, and now Summer and it still isn t on the menu.

This was our second time to visit. The first time and this time we felt like the inside was more typical commercial brewery like a BJs pizza. However this time we discovered theres an open back patio thats more relaxed with families and dogs and that was much nicer. They have numerous beers in their electronic system but twice we ask for beers and the bartender said they had been out of something for weeks and they havent updated the electronic system. So it looks like management is somewhat lazy
