I recently visited Dot s Hop House, and I have to say, it was such a delightful experience! The outdoor patio is absolutely charming, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was great. To my surprise, I even received a complimentary juice, which was a refreshing treat! And the food? Simply delicious! If you re looking for a cozy spot with great vibes, Dot s is definitely worth a visit!

Used to love this place. One of the best beer selections anywhere. I really used to love trying new beers here so my wife asked to try one. The bartender gave her one sample she didnt love and she asked for a recommendation. Bartender: I know you were looking for a conversation but its a beer so drink it. Id give the backwards trucker cap bro in a blue 5 Nine shirt (weird flex at a bar) a pass if: a) they were busy, b) we were young drunk kids or c) it was close to closing time. None of these were true. He was just rude and obnoxious. Icing on the cake: I was planning on several drinks but cashed out after one because of the service. He said really? After all of that you got one drink?

Get you the Cubano, duck fat cheese fries, and one of the many beers on tap to wash it down but please note that as with any business sometimes they run out of something .I was sitting at the bar while a guy came in asking for Delirium beer. The staff was apologetic for running out of the beer he wanted and he was offered a FREE beer by the owner. Dude left stomping out like a toddler. That was funny to say the least!

Only drinks during this mini bar crawl. Dots was great, and the staff was perfection. We sat at the bar, and a large group split into smaller parties to peruse the drink menu and ogle the handmade beer taps. As they became less aware of our personal space or overheard my comments, the bartender adjusted the interloper and improved the situation. Hats off for being attentive! PS. please add drains to your beer coolers. Watching bartenders siphon old water thats had 100 hands in it is kinda disgusting. I know its fast, but its cheap and unhealthy.

My wife and I dropped by for brunch with 4 friends a Saturday mid May just before noon. The service was nice and polite. The food selection nice - and served fairly fast. The waitress told us that the food is freshly made with ingredients for the local area - and there is no microwave in the kitchen. The music outside is really LOUD. We asked if it could now turned down a bit - but that was not possible.?.. Later we returned for some beers - they have 99 different beers to choose from. We sat inside this time - and the music is less noisy there. Very nice experiences all in all.

Come here if you want to be discriminated against! used to come here all the time and it was my favorite bar in Dallas. Until they refused my friend (and subsequently all of us) entry for no reason, stating her valid legal ID just didn t feel right . Management refused to respond to many attempts to communicate about this experience and resolve it so we will unfortunately no longer be coming back.

Came here for an event. Got to say this is a fantastic beer bar, with an amazing beer garden. One of the best I ve been too! There were plenty of beers to choose from, also plenty of other choices if you weren t a beer drinker. A great option they have is you can order from your table if the bar is busy. This was the most underwhelming LIIT Ive ever had. It tasted a bit like flat ginger ale. Ill have to take their word for it that there was alcohol in it - I felt nothing. My husband was also disappointed - he thought it would be a pint of Stout. Instead it was $6 for a very small goblet. The atmosphere and decor is very nice but well go somewhere else next time were in the area.

This is a fun dive-y bar with great atmosphere & an extensive beer list. Indoor seating along with a big outdoor courtyard. On our last visit, one bartender was great, and the other was the kind that sees you but doesn t see you, if you know what I mean. All in all a great place worth visiting. They have a food menu - my dining companions said it was solid. No vegetarian options though.

Cool place with large patio that is dog friendly. You order everything from your phone, which is convenient and worked well, but it took forever for us to get our drinks. The waitress even acknowledged the long wait time when she came bybour table. We noticed people actually leaving their tables and going inside to the bar to get drinks, so guessing we werent the only ones with this issue. I wouldve ordered another round if it didnt take 15mins the first time. Aside from that, the food was good (not spectacular or anything) and atmosphere was good. The poor service might prevent us from coming back, though.... Parking: Parking in Deep Ellum generally isnt great. If its a less busy time you shouldnt have a problem but youll have to pay and possibly walk a ways. Kid-friendliness: They ID everyone at the door, even at lunch on the weekend, so Im not sure they even allow kids. Also didnt see a kids menu.

We went for the New Years Eve Pub Crawl. We didnt order any food here but the 1st round of drinks were good. We went to other locations on our Pub Crawl map and came back to Dots for the countdown. The 2nd round of drinks were bad. Mine had no flavor. My husband ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and got some kind of lemonade. The DJ missed the countdown!!! At 12:01am a woman came over... Stopped the DJ, took the mic and announced Were going to count from 10 and began a very unenthusiastic countdown... which ended in missed emotions of confusion and attitude of why bother, you blew it reaction from the handful of patrons that were in the patio area. There was no hype prior to midnight. Other venues Ive been to, remind you every hour then prepare and start announcing the time every 10 minutes for the last hour. Dots - I will go back. The patio area is huge and they had several heat lamps, the DJ was pretty good... but I will not do that Pub Crawl again.

We stopped at Dot s on my bachelorette party and had such a good time! Aside from great service and the atmosphere being super lively and fun, the owner personally made my day really special too. This is my new favorite spot for brunch! Great atmosphere inside and out, and we really loved the great service from Mercedes. We tried the deviled strawberries (ingenious!), the chicken enchilada omelette, and the warm bacon dijon salad. The salad was simply amazing. I asked for and got a side of 1 plain biscuit - I just had to taste it, and it was very tasty, and a nice bite of bread to go with my salad. Seems to me that any of the biscuit sandwiches or biscuit dishes here are gonna be fantastic. The breakfast potatoes that came with the omelette (and are served with lots of the brunch entrees) are some of the best Ive ever had - nice and crispy, not too greasy, with onions grilled with them too. We saw an order of the duck fat cheese fries go by and they made us drool, but we decided the breakfast potatoes were a more modest option on the fried food scale while still deliciously indulgent. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and were looking forward to more brunches here so we can sample more of this amazing food!

Where to start... dont get me wrong, the vibe is great! Fun and loud. The food was good but the QR code for the menu is very very blurry and hard to read. The reason for 3 stars is bc not once did anyone check on us. My husband got up to get our plates, silverware and placed our orders at the front. Yet the table next to us, I noticed did have a waitress take their orders. So not sure what we did wrong but it was a big inconvenience for my husband to be getting up continuously,.. The duck fat cheese fries are amazing!!! Initially, terrible service. We were sitting outside and there seemed to be no one interested in waiting on us. The young lady that ended up helping us was fabulous! Turned around the partys frustration. Overall, my out of town guests loved it.

Service was wonderful. It wasnt crowded during Saturday brunch time (no special events happening) and it made for a great place to watch the game. Didnt expect much from the food but it was so good. Prices were great as well.

Had a great time here on Super Bowl Sunday a few years back. Tasty food and cocktails. Very cool patio too. Prices were very reasonable. They have great bbq that pairs nicely with their beers on tap as well. Check it out if you re in Deep Ellum. Cheers!
