Service very good - Kelsey is very pleasant and helpful. Gulyás was authentic and a bit on the spicy side. Chicken paprikás was good, though the dumplings had spice where traditionally they would not - not bad, though. Stuffed Lángos was quite interesting - not traditional at all but a very tasty dish. The reason for the 3 stars is simply the taste of the standard Lángos, it is hard to believe this would continue to be prepared this way and sold - really harsh taste, we think the cheese used was not traditional, maybe Romano, the fried dough was not fully cooked and so it had a squishy and soft texture where traditionally it would be crunchy and thin (think elephant ear at the fair but not sweet) or at least fully cooked and airy. The creams on the side were ok but the dough and cheese threw the whole experience off. My family and I judge from Hungarian upbringings in the Northeast of the country near Tokaj. Weve been treated to really good home cooked and restaurant cooked meals during our time in Hungary. Interesting place - would return if in the area - prices are good for what you receive.

If youre looking for one of the top vibes in Deep Ellum, you have to check the set of Branoofunkc at Armory D.E. Branoofunkcs unwavering delivery mixed with the perfect backyard vibe of the Armory is unmatched! The service was pretty good for the most part. One or 2 more servers for the patio area wouldve helped with wait time. Now the food... the No Reggie and burger were pretty good. The flatbreads, not so much! In all, this is definitely a spot to drop in on during live performances!

This place is very welcoming. Keller and Kelsey took very good care of us and we had a great time hanging out with them. The food is also delicious. We had Mamas Gulyas, which is a Hungarian Goulash, Zsa Zsa Sprouts, and the Traditional Weiner Schnitzel. You can get drinks anywhere but the atmosphere, music, patrons, and especially Keller and Kelsey made The Armoury DE a great place to spend the afternoon. We will definitely be back next time were in town.

Food: Very good. The grilled cheese was amazing. The octopus was cooked perfectly. Overall we were very happy, and considering the fare and quality, the prices were reasonable. Cocktails: Strong! Thats always a huge plus. I think this is the kind of place where you need to order right/learn whats your jam. But I imagine some of the cocktails are amazing, would love to try more. Service: Good. Friendly. We were lucky to be here when they first opened for a Friday night, so it wasnt busy yet. Everything was reasonably prompt/well-timed. Vibe: Warm, chill, indoor and outdoor seating, cool bar. Would totally come here just for some dope cocktails if we hung out in this area more. Cool place.

Amazing cocktails. Amazing lángos. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing spatzle. And that charred octopus is the real deal. Or, az igazi üzlet in Hungarian, according to Google. Its dark, a little gothy, and a lot of awesome. The boilermaker selections are well thought out and fun, which isnt surprising given the quality and inventiveness of the cocktail menu. Be adventuresome.

Im not a big bar person but this place was fantastic! It has great dark, goth architecture. The food and drink is very eastern European/Transylvania/Hungarian style. Most of the drinks have a horror theme to them. I tried two, As above so below and the Call me Big Poppy. Both were fantastic. We had the fries, cheese spätzle and the Brussel sprouts. All of the food was good, but the Brussel sprouts were out of this world. They were so fantastic that Im definitely coming back just for those alone. (And I want to try some of the other drinks). If youre looking for a spot in Deep Ellum where you can hear the people at your table, hold a conversation, have some great snacks and some interestingly creative cocktails, this place is perfection.

They have live music sometimes and that s nice too but the food . I ve literally never experienced anything like it and if I m lucky, I never will again..

I can t really speak to the food, because I didn t go there for that. BUT they do have some very unique drinks. Or to be technical craft cocktails they were pretty decent and service was smooth. Now for the atmosphere!! Let me tell you, I went on a Sunday after coming from brunch and was lowkey thinking the whole time why tf are we going here?! BUT when we got out to the back patio it was LIT and full of dope vibes. They had a Dj and a drummer that was just sending the vibes up! The service staff was still attentive given the massive crowd and even came to check in on us, which I appreciated. Idk if it s always vibing like that, but I m going to assume it s for Sunday Funday.

We were looking for wine so we walked in here and what a cool bar! Hungarian bar with great spirits and food! I was sad I already ate because the food that came out of there looked so good! Mainly a bourbon and whiskey bar with a cultish vibe. Cool decor, also had a patio spot in the way back. Very old school style decor! Drinks were eccentric! Not your typical cocktails by any means, definitely a must try. Rose petal ice cubes and drinks with lavender and teas and other very cool and different ingredients. They have different flight options and available as well as locally brewed beers on tap. Bartender and bar back were great!

My recent visit to Armoury D.E. in Dallas was marked by a mix of positives and negatives. The langos didnt quite capture the authentic flavors I had hoped for, and the potato soup was rather bland. Surprisingly, Unicum, a popular Hungarian herbal liqueur, was not on the menu according to the waitress who never heard of it. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall value didnt align with the higher prices. If youre intrigued by the menus diversity, Armoury D.E. may be worth a visit, but be prepared for varying levels of satisfaction.

The service was great and friendly when we walked in. We ordered our food and talk about AMAZING! The beef was so melt in your mouth I had to stop myself before I got too full and overstuffed! Let me tell you, this is now one of my top spots in Dallas now thanks to the recommendation from the receptionist at SOVA. It s Hungarian food with a classic old school pub with a much hipper but fun vibe. The Traditional Wiener Schnitzel caught my eye right away when I was looking online which only sold the deal that I was going here. The best part is they did not disappoint, it was one of the best I ve had. I always want more sauce so it could have used a little more but it was crispy, no air pockets between the cutlet and the crust, I mean it was worth it 1000%.

Interesting restaurant design concepts. The decor is almost like worshipping Satan or Goth. Haha. But it is not the bad kind, it pretty cool btw. We were here slightly too early for dinner, so it practically empty. The food on menu is towards Eastern European cuisine which mostly I am not familiar with except the schnitzel. They have some bloody good drinks also. Pricing is pretty average and the service is not bad. I would recommend to come here for a drink at night to soak in the atmosphere.

The staff was awesome, the food felt like grandmas home cooking, and after smelling the awesome burning cedar plank, had to try the smoked old fashioned, which felt like a wonderful fall hug. Had a good dram of Caol Ila 12, a new one for me that I now need my own bottle of! Will seriously be back soon, got a few other in their Scotch selection I need to try!

Then tried the Vadaszos langos w the meat and vegetables. We then had gulyas soup and porkolt which are often mistook for each other. After those we tasted paprikas csirke and lecso. Both were beautifully served and had a bit of a kick from the paprika. We ended w palacsintas. Our waitress, Maddie was charming, and efficient. We also sampled a great variet of cocktails which were delicious and were cleverly named. The weather on the patio was an added bonus to make the eveninh truly special. I highly recommend this place. For the food, cocktails, and service, the Armoury DE is hands-down my and my friends favorite place to go any day of the week. Their sister location, Ruin (which does mezcal & tequila) is a close second out of preference. I really like the Bonnie & Clyde cocktail, but they have a huge spread of options in the evenings for cocktails, beers, etc. Their goulash is also a classic, especially at the beginning or very end of a long night. Finally, their brunch is fantastic, as are their brunch cocktail options. As an added note, I guess because of my schedule Ive had Cecilia as our waitress on several occasions. She was great and youll be lucky to have her if you do. Their wait staff in general, and bartenders, are all great though.

An absolute GEM. So glad we stopped in for drinks, each one we ordered was delightful. Exploring their menu is honestly fun, their Hungarian food is delicious. The flatbreads are shareable because so big, & I will be craving it more. The spatzle was yummy & a good texture. Aaliyah (sorry if misspelled) was a wonderful host to our group & made the experience even better. The back patio made me so happy. Huge heaters floating above made us forget it was cold outside.

Im in love. Delicious Hungarian food!!! (And the best part is I didnt have to make it!) Craft cocktails with interesting ingredients. Laid back and unpretentious. Amusing art. The staff was cool and knowledgeable. This was my kind of brunch. Porkolt for breakfast? Why not? I usually dont like octopus, but theirs was incredible. Cant wait to come back!

It s easy to see why Armoury makes Dallas s top 100 restaurants. The charred octopus was truly incredible. It was like nothing I ve tried before, and I m so glad I ordered it! I ve had octopus elsewhere and have been turned off by how chewy/rubbery it is. That was not the case at Armoury. It was flakey, flavorful, and one of a kind. The porkolt was filling, delicious, and comforting. The charcuterie and cheese options were adventurous, delectable, and just all around fantastic. I also ordered a couple drinks - Alpine Occult and Call Me Big Poppy. I loved both of them. If you re looking for something quiet, try it around lunch. Otherwise the bar vibe is loud in the evening. 10/10 recommend this place

I love the creative cocktail menu here, with cool spins on traditional fare and also a lot of neat options that are off the beaten path. The food is very tasty, with a great cheese board and a lot of distinctive but accessible European dishes. The decor and atmosphere are super cool, with a gothic vibe inside and some impressive and artistic murals in the outdoor seating area. Well worth checking out!
