This bar will auto grat you and then tries to hide it from you when you are paying out so they can get you to tip twice. When you order they will take your card, swipe it, then give back to you. When you are ready to leave and ask for your check they will run your card and give you the receipt to sign. Under the customer and merchant copy there is a smaller receipt which states that 20% auto gratuity has been applied to your bill. Nowhere is this stated on the copy you are to sign. Very easy to miss completely. If you are sitting at the bar and you ask for the bill they dont give you the total at that point. They simply run your card. Its a blatant attempt to trick customers into tipping more and it is wrong. Additionally, when your card is swiped it is pre authorized for 1 cent. It remains at this charge until 4 or 5 days go by before the full amount post. Another attempt to make the customer confused or simply just forget how much they spent. Never seen this done anywhere in my life..... Not giving these shady people another dollar.

Absolutely appalled at Avenue. I made the mistake of patronizing their establishment for a drink, only to return to find my car mercilessly towed. Zero warning, zero consideration. Talk about kicking your customers when theyre down. Dont bother giving them your business unless you enjoy being treated like trash. Shameful tactics from a supposedly reputable establishment. It s cinco de mayo and it s my first time here. The staff is phenomenal. Cruz, Eve, Diana killed it. Constantly making sure my water and my Espolon were full. Went around 11pm on a Sunday. We had one bartender tell us that we can only have 1 drink and we had to hurry and drink it because they close at 11:30. You better know exactly what you want to drink when you order, because the music is too loud to be heard if the tender walks away. This place has gone down hill. It used to be a decent place to grab a beer and watch a game. But the prices have skyrocketed. Their happy hour is nonexistent. Then they add a credit card charge to every bill on top of that. When big sporting events are on, they don t even have the audio playing most of the time (unless it s a Cowboys game). Great drinks. Awesome lunch specials. Oscar is a very good bartender. They have a heavy pour. The Buffalo chicken sandwich is crispy, tasty, spicy: everything you want. The toasted bun is fresh and soft. Sandwich perfection! Get half fries/ half rings as the side. The onion rings are thinly sliced, battered and flash fried. Not greasy and so delicious. Visited this bar on our recent trip to Dallas and had a wonderful time. The owner came to greet our table and was such a nice guy! The place was quite busy for a Sunday, but we had no issues getting a table. The crowd at this bar is so interesting; there were tons of fun and different people. They had the PGA on TVs and live music on their stage. The front of the bar had garage doors that opened up to enjoy the beautiful weather. They had excellent food and seltzers fully stocked. I absolutely loved the time we spent here!
