Went for Emmanuel Gillespies solo exhibit, which was awesome. As it relates to the gallery itself, the spatial layout was great! Gallery located on two levels with space maximized to present exhibits in the most effective manner. Well worth the trip!! Gallery also focused in The Best of D Magazines 2023 Summer Edition.

Pencil on Paper Gallery is an exceptional art space! It not only hosts some great exhibitions but Valerie and Emmanuel serve the community by offering affordable art classes to all ages and also allow their gallery to be used for community uplift events. It s a beautiful three story space that s kept immaculate by its owners! I highly recommend Pencil on Paper Gallery to any visual art lovers living in or visiting Dallas!

I had the most AMAZING experience here as I watched my granddaughter have extraordinary conversations with gallery owner Val. My baby talked to artist and even saw the work of another artist her same age. It was absolutely miracle moving inspiration!!!!

I am totally in love with the work exhibited at this gallery. Valerie and Emmanuel have an eye for talent and the representation of artists is diverse. Every time I ve been I ve felt welcomed and I always look forward to going back

Loved finding more Black Excellence in the DFW!!! We were given a special private showing of the new Pencil on Paper Gallery by the owners/artists!! They were kind enough to talk to us about each piece. I ve always loved art but never have I ever had such a special experience! Excited to go back for the Jeremy Biggers exhibit on Jan. 8th!!

We had a wonderful experience at Pencil on Paper Gallery. My daughter absolutely loves yoga and art class with Dr. Valerie! My daughter says it s the most calming place to learn yoga. They have made beautiful art pieces in class. We need to go back soon!

Pencil on Paper is a great Art gallery and Art studio ! Our daughter is taking Portfolio Art classes with Mr. Gillespie in preparation for Art colleges applications, and has had tremendous improvement in her art. Both Mr Gillespie and Dr. Gillespie are highly experienced working artists , educators, and passionate about art. If you are looking for a place to take Art classes, I highly recommend you look at pencil on Paper!

We feel beyond fortunate that our daughter is able to take art classes here. She has improved so much in such a short time. It s a beautiful space to learn art, yoga, and view the amazing art displayed here. The owners are warm, professional, and extremely talented! I would recommend Paper on Pencil not only to those preparing for a career in art, but also to anyone who loves art!

By far one of they most valuable yoga and art experience for my children. They left with a confidence boost that can only come from authentic care and time. That is what this studio provides! Authentic care and a great space the teacher was amazing and it s a beautiful space. I would recommend to all people and I felt so safe leaving my little with the instructors. We will be back!!! Yes is my best google find yet!

Both my daughters one of them age 21 and one age 8 took classes at Pencil on Paper this summer. They had such a great experience. It seriously lifted us up this summer, enriching our lives. My older daughter took Saturday drawing from Emanuel Gillespie and learned and grew so much before heading back to college. My younger daughter enjoyed a weekday art class with Dr. Valerie Gillespie and had fun creating art (and learning in the process) around themes that interested her. I love this place and am SO grateful it s right here in Addison/Farmers Branch/North Dallas area.
