We had a great lunch experience with Tracy at Kona Grill in NorthPark mall! She was very helpful in protecting me from allergy cross contamination and we appreciated her attention to detail and cheerful spirit. Thanks, Tracy, for taking such good care of us! Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy and have to watch out for things that are fried in the same oil. Tracy offered several choices for substitutions on the French fries and she brought a nice gravy/sauce that worked well on mashed potatoes.

We had a delicious dinner at the Northpark location on Friday, 09/20/24. Kaley took care of us and was exceptional! Super-attentive and so freindly. The meatball appetizer is super-yummy. The management is terrific, too, and brought us a lovely dessert of chocolate cake, cheesecake, and champagne as a birthday surprise. I love this place! Parking: The parking is always full around the restaurnats entrace, but dont let that be a turn-off. Its worth the walk!

Brianna was our server and she was amazing! Had incredible recommendations and even went above and beyond with customizing our order to make it even better with the chef. Food was so good and it came out quick. Which is ideal with the kids. They got bento boxes and loved them. we will be back We got surf and turf and upgraded to the sunset roll (which was my favorite part) ribeye with the garlic pesto topping (which was incredible. Her recs were perfect! Also got the macadamia nut chicken. But surf and turf was better. I ve been to Kona grill a few times and this was by far my best experience thanks to Brianna! Service was very poor. We waited for about 30-45 mins for our food, even the drinks took a very long time. The waitress was nice, but she never came back to check on us until we were finished with our meals. We didn t even have any silverware, we had to flag another waitress down to ask for napkins. To be honest, the staff all seemed overwhelmed. Our waitress said the bartender had only been working there for two days and was struggling , and that she was working alone. Overall it felt like a complete waste of money. Our bill was $150, I ve had better service and food for a lot less. It wasn t even very busy for it to be a Saturday. After dining here I can see why.

My wife and I tried Kona Grill for brunch. Disappointed with the food. I ordered a roasted vegetable omelette. It was supposed to have roasted asparagus and peppers. Very few peppers and no asparagus! My wifes eggs were overcooked, and the bacon must have been cooked at different times, very inconsistent. Her English muffin was several days old. On the upside, the potatoes were excellent and so was the bloody Mary. Our server Tracey was great! The manager came by and asked about our food, when I told her about the omelette, she only offered to make another. Not what I wanted to hear. Very apathetic! Well try them again but NOT for brunch.

Do not recommend for brunch. At $78 for brunch I expect more than buffet quality food. My husband had a roasted vegetable omlet which featured grilled asparagus and roasted veggies. No asparagus and very scant veggies. I had the traditional breakfast with over easy eggs. Eggs were overdone and the bacon was inconsistently cooked. Some strips burnt and some under cooked. The Bloody Mary s and the breakfast potatoes were good. Manager came around and was apathetic when told about the omelet. Offered to make another one, but we were finished. We have been intending to eat here every time we have visited North Park for years, but something always prevented us. So, finally, we were without particular plans on our wedding anniversary and decided THIS would be the day. Omigoodness! Our next visit will be MUCH sooner! The Macadamia Chicken was absolutely wonderful; a perfect balance of salty and sweet with the pineapple-papaya marmalade. SO good. My husband had the steakhouse burger with blue cheese and lobster butter. Chunky fries were nicely prepared as well. Finished the evening with a bite or two of carrot cake (that we really didnt have room for), but it made a good to go option, well be enjoying it for the next several days. We were there for my friend s birthday. To start off, our drink orders were wrong. Then our food kept getting switched around and the server made a joke stating that we played musical chairs but we switched seats way before we ordered anything so that makes no sense. The server was just rude. Then when it came time for our check they couldn t split it properly. If you have a party of ten, start splitting checks when you bring out the dessert or right after dessert is ordered. I ve worked in the service industry and I know it can be rough but making customers wait 45mins to just get their checks, making snarky remarks oh and best of all not even bringing our friend her birthday dessert as promised is just unacceptable. Kona Grill Restaurant Week Review: A Disappointing Experience Reservation and Seating: The experience started off on the wrong foot. Our reservation was specifically for the dining room, which was far from full. However, we were initially escorted to the cocktail area and ultimately ended up on the patio. Service: Service was slow and somewhat awkward, even though the restaurant wasnt particularly busy. The hostess didnt even bring a drink menu to the table, which seemed odd. Drinks: Our initial drinks, an Old Fashioned and a margarita, took easily 15 minutes, if not longer, to arrive. Food: The appetizer, meatballs, tasted the best out of everything we ordered, though they were a bit dry. The sushi roll was just fine. The entrees were disappointing. The cilantro lime chicken was dry, as was the accompanying rice. However, the worst part was the prime rib. My date ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well. When we asked about getting another one cooked correctly, the server came back with the answer: The starting point of the prime rib was medium and could only go up from there. This seemed like an answer from a manager who didnt want to correct the issue. The prime rib was the dish we especially came in for, and it was horrible. Prime rib is a premium cut of beef, and getting the temperature right is crucial. It should have been a simple request to accommodate, especially for a restaurant week special. The desserts were fine, but nothing spectacular. After finishing our desserts, we were still waiting on a second margarita we had ordered 20 minutes prior. It never arrived. Overall: Kona Grills Restaurant Week offering was a major letdown. The service was slow and inattentive, the food was underwhelming, and the prime rib fiasco was the final straw. We wont be returning.

The food was excellent! I had a cheeseburger and fries, and they were absolutely delicious. The ambiance was great too. Sara, our server, was fantastic she checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks were always perfect!

We enjoyed our meals and appreciate that they re open very late. We meet friends weekly at the mall to watch a movie and then we have dinner together. There are only two late night restaurants in the mall and we tired of the subpar service at the other option so we gave Kona a shot. The food at Kona is good for anytime of day, but for late night eating the food is very good. Brianna was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. We ll be back next week.

I will still keep my original review but I had such a bad experience yesterday! The cilantro chicken was so so dry and rice was overcooked. We went there to get the 3 course meal and out entree was brought to us just after we started with our appetizers and by the time we ate, everything was cold. The taste pf the food was really not upto point for how much we paid. Don t know if I would recommend this place anymore. Old review: Loveddddddd the food and service. We went there for the DFW restaurant week and it s so worth it! The perfect Asian American Fusion. My favorite was the Cilantro Lime Chicken and Brownie with Vanilla Icecream. Definitely coming back

It was our first time here, and let me tell you that my family and I had an amazing time. There was no wait time when we got there and our server came right away! Nicole was amazing and so helpful. She made sure we had everything and if something did not taste good or we didn t like, she offered to switch it out! She was very patient and so kind and caring. Just had a not so good experience at Kona Grill. It was a family members birthday lunch and the food / service was not good. Ordered the breakfast burrito only for the server to come out 10 mins later that they didnt have any. My mom ordered the 3 course meal for the brunch only for the server to come out and say the deal does not start until next weekend or some other excuse like that. I ordered the KG burger, did not get the garlic aioli sauce with it and it was super dry. We also ordered kona grill stir fry with chicken and my wife only got 3 pcs of chicken in it and it was just average. She had to get a quick meal later on from another place. There was no salt and pepper on the table and not served by the server until we asked for it. Ordered scrambled eggs that were dry and a disappointment. I understand the server was new, but where the heck was the management? Terrible attention to detail and average food. All this costed us about $200 and there are several places in Dallas now take much less for much better food quantity and quality wise. I dont know how the heck this place has 4.6 stars. Never again!

The drinks were delicious and the perfect size to keep them in rotation with the food options. My favorite dish of the night was the fish tacos and pot stickers! We left happy, fed and full.
