The best seafood in Houston, the octopus is incredible, the tuna toast is delicious and the green aguachile is very spicy but it is the most delicious thing there is! The micheladas are also very good! And Susana took great care of us! This place should be famous, you can see that the products are quality and that the cooks are cracks!

The rice is good, the shrimp cocktail very few put it for the price and on a plate so that they are less and they publish them in a glass the toast is good the only thing I go for is the service very reluctantly and the owner there yelling at his employees and you can tell music very loud, sorry!! This place should be packed daily! Very well thought-out layout and very comfortable booths. Clean, and the food and service is great. Especially, the food! Even the ice tea was perfect! Dont listen to the bad reviews. Those are generally people who have bad attitudes and look for the smallest thing to be wrong, so they can feel good about themselves by writing bad reviews. Or maybe it was just a comedy of errors that led to their bad experience. I understand, because I own a business, too! It happens. The customer never really sees the truth behind the problem. I normally do not leave reviews . However, this is the first time I went into a Mexican restaurant and did NOT have to ask for extra seasoning or hot sauce . From the drinks to appetizer to the dinner and salsa. Everything had just the right amount of flavor . The service was great, I asked to sample the margarita, and the server brought enough for the 3 of us at the table. I live about an hour away and never would have thought to drive that far to a restaurant, but this place is #1 on my favorite places. Actually, this is the only one that makes the list. I will be coming back.

Sat at the bar for ten minutes waiting to get a drink or order food. 3 employees looked at me not one person attempted to care. One nice older lady brought me a menu. Another ten minutes went by watching the staff just talking and laughing. I decided to leave. Will not return.

The food was amazing, staff great! We didn t know it was a dry county so our only disappointment was the margarita was wine based. We were totally fine once someone came to explain that. Just wish it was on the menu. I will definitely be back, the variety of the menu is something I am diving into!

The queso tasted like bell pepper. The quesadillas were okay. The boom boom shrimp was good. The service was slow, but the staff was so very nice. There was a misunderstanding with part of our order and management comped it for us, when we didnt say anything about the mix up. We appreciated how kind everyone was, but overall we did not enjoy the flavor of the food.

We got 1 beer $8, 1 kids plate $8 Civiche $17 and $14 Gumbo. The Gumbo was not good. It said shrimp and crab The shrimp was chopped up into little pieces. There was probably 1 or 2 shrimp total. Very disappointed. The civiche was better. Not great. Nothing special. NOT WORTH $55 BUCKS Food

It took a whole hour to get the barquito boil, plus the waitress that we had did not have a good service. She did not refill our drinks, chips, or even update us when the food was going to be ready. Even when we finally had the food she didn t check on us. Server name was Vanessa. The food was very mid and way too much salt. Do not recommend.

Nice to have a decent restraunt in area. Its been 3 years since I posted the review, so Im editing at to take into effect that the food has changed a lot since then. The fried fish and oysters or fantastic. Ive gone three times and all three times. They were great. Father had the fried butterfly shrimp and hush puppies. All was good and nothing was greasy.

We went with my husband, it was the first time and the waitresses sat us in a corner and left us there for half an hour without taking us or offering us anything to drink until I called her when she went in front of us to serve other customers who were there, she told us everything was fine. ? Dumbest question, I told him no because they havent bothered us at all and then he started to ask what we wanted to drink and I told him. My husband better lets go and leave, the truth is they should have more waiters or be more attentive, the truth is I wouldnt go again to go through this again

Really unique restaurant. Went on a Tuesday night. We will definitely go back closer to a weekend and see it on a busy night. I am sure it will be a great atmosphere. The owner introduced himself as we were leaving. He is really doing his best to live up his dream of owning a seafood restaurant. We tried just the fajitas because it was our first time, they were good. After talking to the owner, it sounded like he was more proud of the seafood. We will go back and try more of the seafood options. I appreciated his personal story and time!

The service was so terrible...we were sat at a booth ( on a Monday @ 5-/+ p.m) and there were 2 other patrons at the bar hopes were high! It took them forever to take our drink orders (patrons at the bar not so unfortunate) then 2 others come in and boom they were seated and served promptly! We ordered another beer and watched as the 4 at the bar were served up right away! THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO EAT HERE! Such a disappointment to be treated rudely just because the employees think you wont tip ( I always give at LEAST 20% of check CASH) and im not bragging I was a server myself and my daughter is a server! What happened to courteous service and kindness? People screaming about AI take overs should be aware that this is the very reason the threat is there! I will not be back, leave a $1.00 tip with the reason printed on it, and tell everyone I encounter about my experience! I feel guilty for asking for my fiancee to bring me here and the food was delicious too bad this has been the 4th time for this to happen! We are not that couple we joke and talk to the people taking care of us but Ive been thinking of going full blown can I speak to a manager??

It was a girls luncheon we have them frequently. It was hot in the room we were in the ac in the room was dripping. The service was spotty. My wife loves Mexican food, I dont. It was finally time for my choice and I had been driving by this boat shaped restaurant that said seafood and decided to try it. Imagine my disappointment when I walked into a Mexican restaurant that sells seafood. The food was decent but I didnt care for the atmosphere at all. On a good note...the absolute best cole slaw in the Conroe area. Parking: Plenty with handicap parking where they should be.

I can sum it up this way. They advertise Market Price on menu, but crab was old and freezer burned. My $50 plate was served with fake butter. Fake Butter!!! Ive never heard of fake butter with real crab. But I guess Ive never had freezer burned crab at a restaurant before either. I ordered a half pound, but for the first time ever, I left half my crab untouched on my plate. I asked the server to let the kitchen know that the crab is freezer burned, she agreed to do so, but made no effort to adjust our bill. I didnt specifically ask her to compensate me. But we rarely treat ourselves to dinner and it was incredibly disappointing. As dramatic as it may sound, I felt jipped on my adventure with local Texas cuisine. We were passing through Texas and this was our one and only experience with Tex Mex or dining at a seafood restaurant in Texas. Its been at least 6 years since I gave a restaurant a negative review. I just think its deceiving to sell the concept of fresh seafood by listing market prices and then selling old seafood. Then when it was pointed out, there was just a verbal apology, which is somewhat of an admission that its not fresh. Yet, no offer to adjust our bill. So if you decide to stop in, skip the crab. I dont want anyone else to pay for fresh and local and end up with fake and freezer burned. On a positive note, the Cajun shrimp met our expectations. The cups that the soft drinks are served in are huge and thats kind of fun. The building is shaped like a boat and has a fun themed atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly.

El Barquito Seafood & Tex-Mex Cut & Shoot on 105 7/10 A boat shaped restaurant with some fun decor. 2 adults, 2 kids (under 4) I had the shrimp Po boy! This was a fair entree served with popcorn shrimp lettuce tomato and sauce on fresh soft bread. It had an abundance of shrimp, though I would have preferred larger shrimp in less quantity thats just my preference. It doesnt punch you in the face with flavor but it is good. A side of fries came with it, they use some kind of lemon or lime salt or spice on the fries which isnt disagreeable to me. Though it may surprise some it is mild. Wife had Shrimp Alfredo, she enjoyed it . The kids plates of popcorn shrimp and Chicken nuggets were large portions. More than enough for them. Service was prompt and friendly. Would visit again, have a few Oyster items Id like to try.

The french fries were full of grease and the menu was too expensive. I spent over 100 to leave my food on the table. Save your money and go to Whataburger. If i could put a zero rating i would, terrible food and stale chips. The boudin balls were still cold in the middle. The catfish and the shrimp had zero flavor.. you cant call yourself to make cajun food and not have flavor!!! The water tasted like tap water, and all the sodas were flat. I think this place has great potential if they can figure things out but they certainly have some work to do. Don t order the margaritas, they must be wine based so they weren t good and overpriced. Two of us ordered off lunch menu and were charged full price. My son ordered chicken quesadillas and was charged for beef but we were told they were the same price. (We later looked at the menu online to find they were NOT the same price like we were told and were charged $1 more) We actually liked their chips and salsa but everything else was just okay.

Oysters were flat and small. Also, whoever is shucking them needs to do better. My oysters had a lot of shell in them. At 4pm on a Sunday, they turned up the music like it was a night club. Couldnt hear ourselves talk. The server got my order wrong twice. Tge second time I had to physically show her on the menu because she didnt believe they had what I was asking for. The building has potential but was built very cheap. Sheetrock is already falling off the walls. Hope you guys figure out how to whip it in to shape soon or youll just be an empty boat house on the side of the road

Wow just wow!! First off the extremely loud Spanish music walking should have been a deterrent but I still tried. Asked a couple questions about the menu and waitress had no clue, one question was is there mushrooms in this? And the answer was no . Ordered and it was more mushrooms than anything. When asked the manager about why it was not listed he said the chef wanted to use mushrooms so he did. Luckily I noticed before I ate a bite because you know I m highly allergic. The crab fingers were way over cooked and bland. The queso was watery and bland tasting. The chips were so stale they were inedible. Take my review as a plea to save your time and money. This place will be closed in no time if they don t list ingredients especially ones people are commonly allergic too!!

The rice was hard the fish was burnt the boom boom shrimp was really good but walking out spending 100.00 with no alcoholic beverages and not being able to eat the food was ridiculous. The Mgr and what looked like workers hanging at the bar drinking.... this place needs Jon Taffer and Bar Rescue. Its new but wont be open long. We have heard nothing but bad things from friends and family we have started to go here several times and passed it up due to what we have heard. We finally decided to go see for ourselves...the appetizer was great and we were thinking ok this is not going to be bad. My husband ordered crab, sausage and sides and it did not look fresh boiled at all. My grilled fish tacos were so burnt I literally left there hungry. I didnt want to send it back due to the atmosphere with the employees. Hopefully they will read this review, as a business owner reviews are damaging or they are a chance for a business to see from a customer point of view. Your menu looks great if you pull together the quality/freshness of food and get your staff off the bar you would/could have great place with great food.

Extremely expensive for absolutely awful food! I ordered shrimp Diablo and they fried like charcoal everything on the plate! The waitress asked, if it was good and I said no it was ruined. She did nothing about it and still charged us. The margaritas taste like a slushie at 7-Eleven and they charge you $15. All the other food we ordered had literally no flavor to it and the service was awful. They had mariachi music blasting where you could not even hear the waitress or talk!

We used to love this place, but they must have changed owners, because the menu has changed and so have the prices. Gumbo is still great. But paid $10.99 for Calamari and only got like 6 pieces and the rest were fries. You cannot get 12 pieces of fried shrimp anymore, only 6. This place was almost as good as Captain Toms, but now.... not so much. So sad.
