6 scallops was really 1 scallop and 5 1/2 very small scallops. They also had no flavor and didnt taste like scallops. Very disappointing. The crab cake tasted like pumpkin pie and, again, didnt taste crab. Ribye steak was good, while thin was cooked well. Maybe they do steak better than seafood. House salad with blue cheese had so.e weird dressing, didnt taste like blue cheese. Either she got the wrong dressing, or its the worst blue cheese I have had. Wont be back.

Sept 20: Please, Please, for Thanksgiving please tell the Cook not to make the stuffing for the Turkey, not so peppery and not so sweet. My family and I really want to eat Thanksgiving dinner here, but I m afraid the stuffing will be like last year. Dec 25, 2023: My family ate Christmas lunch and the roasted Turkey was very delicious! It was better than expected! Although the stuffing was very peppery and sweet, so i just ate very little of it. The Turkey made up for it though, and those rolls, soup and peas were are all so delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be coming back! The waitress also was very nice and friendly!

First time visiting and the food was very good BUT our server was the BEST. Brandon was so pleasant the entire night and attentive no matter how busy the night was. First off, our waitress was really sweet and attentive so this has nothing to do with her. I got the salmon and I hate to say it but it was probably the worst salmon I ve ever gotten at a restaurant. So dry, I think it was a little burnt too. I should ve said something but it wasn t even pink inside so I think it was definitely overcooked. My husband got the stuffed fish I forget if it was flounder, but the texture was almost like egg whites. His was better than mine because it was actually moist. We left and decided to go back in to say something but it was so packed we decided on leaving. Should not have paid for that but oh well. Just wanted to share our experience. I only ate 1/3 of mine and didn t even take it home if that says something.

Had lunch with a friend on a weekday. It was packed but in spite of that the food and service was great. It is so noisy that my friend and I could not hear each other and we were sitting directly across from each other. We will not be back. The owner was not interested in hearing from us. Skip it - if you want a place that takes pride in their work, look elsewhere. I ordered the surf & turf which doesnt have a price listed it says MKT price...so I asked, what type of lobster & what cut of meat is it. The menu specifies its a filet cut & only says lobster tail. But the photo shows a main lobster tail. So, I decided to ask about the specifics. What type of lobster is served for the surf portion of the surf/turf? Im hoping its main lobster because I hate Rock lobster & if its going to be a rock lobster Ill just order something else. The server was great & said You know, nobody has ever asked that before, let me go ask the kitchen... she returned moments later with a giddy smille & said guess whaaat?? Its main lobster! I was delighted & asked for it to be broiled/steamed not grilled. She asked me how I would like my steak & I said medium well. When the food arrived I was on the phone & wasnt really paying attention, she set the food down & walked away. I hung up the phone & saw a rocklobster tail & a burnt filet. I mentioned my dissapountment to the server, but decided to just eat it & move on. Ill never come back here again & you shouldnt either. Not because of one experience, but because of what followed. After telling the server she said Im so sorry, let me go tell my boss. The boss never came to my table, didnt acknowledge the issue & just hid out. I have money, what I dint have is time to waste at establishments who feel mediocrity is ok & ripping people off. My waitress returned saying she told them why did you guys tell me it was main lobster? I told this man you guys said it was main lobster. Apparently they had told her well how are we supposed to know, they send us whatever & we just serve it. There was no offer to recook the steak or the option to order something else & there was a complete lack of awareness by the restaurant management. I still tipped my waitress 20% because its not her fault the people she works for are completely incompitent. Run as fast as you can away from this place!

My sister and her husband had the steaks and they enjoyed them . I would not recommend the seafood platter (quite tasteless) my husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes which were cold . We did receive exceptional service from Ben. There are many different menu options. There is something for everyone. Good service for larger groups. Yes, they charge 20% tip for larger groups, but the service is good and they dont try to hide that the tip is included on the bill to get you to add an additional tip like many restaurants do.

Stumbled across this spot while in town, and boy, did we make a good choice to try it out cause everything was SO deeelicious ! The service was great ! Our waiter, Brandon, was very funny and very attentive ! I had the Mahi Mahi blackened w/rice pilaf and a side salad and my daughter had the sirloin & shrimp (grilled). 1st timers from Phoenix. Great food. We arrived at 4:30pm on Friday and were able to get in right away. We had the Filet Mignon, Stuffed Strimp and onion strings. This place was crowded! That aside, I had probably the best ribeye steak Ive had ever there. They were able to make it medium-rare just like I asked while still having a wonderful crisp char on the outside. My fiancé and I went to dine here before a concert and overall, the experience was great. While we didnt make a reservation on a busy night (Memorial Weekend), we had to wait a bit before we had a table. Since there were large parties that night, it made sense that the place was packed. The food was delicious. We ordered: one crab cake, ate our side salads, then had our entrees. I chose a red snapper or some kind (I dont remember) and he had a steak. Prices were a little bit higher but thats to be expected for dinner items. Service was great, we had a waiter that was clearly in the weeds along with his coworkers (it looked understaffed and a bit chaotic with the large parties) but since weve served before, we didnt mind waiting. He even gave us recommendations for other places to try during our visit to CC. Great place to eat so make sure to get a reservation beforehand.

We went to eat dinner here Saturday night. My husband enjoyed his hamburger steak dinner. On the other hand, my dinner was not appetizing. The fried shrimp and catfish smelled and tasted strongly of old frying oil. The shrimp had a weird taste to it too. Our salads were a bowl of plain lettuce with 2 little tomatoes. The rolls tasted like stale store bought rolls.

This hidden gem is off the main shoreline. I stubbled onto it and it did not disappoint. All the dishes I ate over 4days were all great. I had an amazing server named Angie. The food was great. Service was fast. The staff not so great, the guy who seated us just looked at us and walked away with menus. Server never asked if we wanted desert, just brought the ticket. When she returned for it she asked if we needed change and we said no, and thank you. Did she say thank you, nooooo she just said ok and walked away. So if youre ok with that kind of service, go give the food a try.

My friends and I went there last Thursday for our lunch to celebrate our artist friends and we all order different kinds of food. Everybody including me and I had my service dog with me there. We all really applaud on how delicious the food was and our vfc waiter did a wonderful job taking care of us all, we were very happy. I told my husband about this place and we will definitely come back to this place, so thank you all. Parking: Parking lots are ok, need more spaces, , need extra handicapped parking spaces Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for little ones and have small seats to put in the regular chairs. Very clean place. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a wheelchair ramp right in front of that door to enter into the restaurant and theres handicapped parking spaces and I park in the handicapped parking spaces in front of the door, very easy access to walk into the door. I was very please with this.

I eat here once a week. And I absolutely love the food, especially the mahi-mahi. But I m sure having lunch there Yesterday, Friday the seventh, I got the worst service by the Female manager. Thankfully, our waiter, Adame , fix the issue and made us feel like we mattered.

I had the steak and shrimp, and the coconut shrimp was delicious. Sirloin was cooked to perfection. The bread rolls come with the entrees, and not before the food gets there. I would have loved to have them with my salad. Salad was a good portion. We ordered the cramb cakes. It was one crab cake, for 17.99. On the menu, it didnt have a price, but I think 18 dollars for one crab cake is ridiculous. Thats a meal on its own. Its definitely not worth it.

Trapped in the 80s. The steaks are disappointing, I mean this is cafeteria level food. The people are friendly. I dislike when people pick a place and then dog it...I was dragged here for a meeting so it was not like either of us had a choice.

Ate lunch at U &I restaurant. I noticed they had Liver n onions on the menu. I ordered the Liver n onions and I must say...IT was Excellent. Not to many restaurants serve Liver n Onions and of those not to many make it taste great. My wife had the Chicken fried steak. It was delicious and tender. U & I restaurant...you get a TWO THUMBS up and a 5 STAR rating.

It all started when we walked in followed Manager to our seats where he threw menus down & left - no greeting, nothing! So very very rude! Menus were dirty and needed wiping. Server was much better and friendly. We ordered lunch special of chicken fried chicken and it was awful probably been sitting around a while and was overcooked. Ranch dressing was diluted - it just wasn t good! Will never return!

As soon as you re at the threshold of entry to U & I, you ll be overcome by the aroma of their smoky grill. The aroma is only the beginning of the banquet for your senses dining here. The staff are efficient, professional, attentive, and friendly. The place is boisterous and maybe even rowdy, which makes it great for celebrations & families with small children. My son and daughter were visiting from New York City and North Carolina. They wanted to experience true Texas dining. U & I delivered in spades. Some of the dinners I sampled were Caesar salad with smoked grilled chicken & medium rare rib steak. Others at our table really enjoyed their filet minion and enchiladas. The children s menu was perfect for my 5yr old & 7yr old grandchildren (spaghetti & chicken tenders). Their crab cake appetizers are the best any of us had ever had, & my son in law at one time lived in Baltimore. The crab cakes were exquisitely seasoned and were essentially all crab with minimal breading. I don t know how the chef kept the substance of the crab cake together without it falling apart during cooking. You may not see crab cakes on the menu. Even if you don t see them on the menu, ask for them. Typically they re still available even when they aren t listed on the menu. U & I is not cheap, but it is the best steakhouse in Corpus Christi & worth the price.

We have been patrons for a few years, as the food is always great. Well, today we are here for a graduation dinner. Our party is approximately 20 people. As we were waiting on all to arrive , I would assume the manager, older man with glasses, approached us asking if all had arrived and if not were they getting here soon. At that moment, we felt rushed. Our server was pretty good but 20 is a lot for one server, she did fall behind at times. If they are going to accept larger parties, don t expect them to hurry and make room for more customers! Our money is just as good as the next patrons.

5/25/24 I ordered the salmon again, and it was even more DELICIOUS this time! My mother had the berry but salad and the catfish and they looked amazing! Fresh greens and fresh fruit on the salad and the catfish was perfectly fried. We also had the stuffed shrimp, Alfredo, and hamburger steak which were all great choices and everyone was happy with their meal. Oh and their carrots are amazing! Good food, nice variety. I ordered the salmon today 12/8/22 and it was really, really tasty and delicious! I love salmon and had stopped eating it because several times at other restaurants, it was too dry. I was so happy to eat a very tasty salmon fillet this evening and now I know that when I want salmon Ill come here!

Our server was very attentive and friendly! My husband and I both had ribeyes, but were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. My daughter had a bacon cheese burger, the bun was dense and sweet, making an excellent combination with the saltiness of the bacon and cheese. There was ample parking. The atmosphere was ok, kind of a quiet sit down, whereas I prefer a more relaxed/outgoing crowd. But it was nice. Definitely going back!

The place was packed. Where there is food and people there must be great tasting food and we were right. I was impressed and the fact that our servers never missed a beat. The speed and synchronized motions of bringing us appetizers and picking up empty plates and serving was amazingly.
