The grilled oysters (appetizer) is SO GOOD i dont even like oysters that much. I got them to try something out for a change and figured worse case scenario ill choke it down. this place made me actually like oysters. Like oh my god. Im fighting myself not to be a big back and get a second order. Update: i made the above before i even got the entre, it was that good. Got the entre. Not even done eating it yet. ITS SO GOOD the dragon roll literally melted in my mouth. I drove here from houston to see the aquarium and get a little bite after, 4hr drive more than worth it. im bringing friends next time

Came in for lunch and overall Id say it was an enjoyable experience. The food was really good (a bit pricey, but still good). Our server was friendly. My only complaint was the wait time was a bit long... I get that its sushi and it can take awhile to make fresh, but I felt the wait time was a bit long. I only mention this because we were the only guests in the restaraunt at the time. Other than that its a good place to grab a lunch.

I will say the sushi was good. The service was basically serve your own sushi, we had to run back and forth up and down stairs to find out where our miso soup was and our edamame, and everything ended up coming together anyway. You have to go to the bar and stand in line anyway to get drinks so why you wouldnt just sit at the bar I dont know, I tipped on this order and I wouldnt have if I had known that I was going to be getting everything myself. The wait staff was pleasant when I saw them, its just set up so that you basically do things yourself. If Im going to pay $50 for sushi, and I have to get it myself, I feel like I could do better somewhere else. It was a nice quiet place away from the noise of water Street restaurant but halfway through our meal they decided to have a staff meeting up there so all of a sudden it was just us and 20 staff members having a meeting so that kind of put a damper on the conversation. I feel like this part of the restaurant is an afterthought and they should probably just not do it and keep it open for staff meetings. I would not go back to this part of the restaurant again.

I am here for a work conference and just stopped in tonight for a place to do homework while I ate dinner. I suck and failed to get their names but the boy (Round glasses, dark hair) and girl (redish hair I think) at the front were so sweet and helpful. They checked on me and seemed to be genuinely happy, not forced. It made the atmosphere amazing. The food was a bit pricey but very good! Would definitely recommend.

We used the Sushi Loft for a Wedding Anniversary gathering, and this place exceeded our expectations! Everything was very clean, and the service was amazing with no flaws or delays despite having a party of 20! Alyssa, our waitress was just the greatest!!!! She was very kind and patient, and very very helpful! We were able to put little decorations on the table, making it even more personal for our event! The drinks and food were fantastic! Michele made sure to answer all of our questions prior to our event and she was very informative on everything! We will definitely reserve this place for future events!!!!

Very good food. Slow service. Water or perspiration drips from the ac ducts onto the tables and food or drinks in the upstairs section. Glasses got water and had soap stains on them. There was a staff meeting during business hours on the dining area upstairs, which slowed down servers and cooks.

I went out for dinner on Sunday and the sushi was amazing! However, as I was having dinner at the bar, there were several roaches on the bar, which made me lose my appetite. I let the bartender know and he took a napkin and killed one of roaches. He apologized and stated that since we are close to the water is hard to control the pest situation. Not reassuring...

We love our Corpus Christi! Barely dropped our bags in the room before we headed to Water Street Oyster Bar! The entire experience never ceases to amaze us. Of course, all the seafood is amazing, but the staff just makes it that much better. Been coming to Corpus for over 60 years. Thank you Water Street for continuing the tradition!

The food taste like it s been drug through a slime covered fish skin. We waited for 1 hour on a slow day to be served. The place looks cool on the inside, but they have a long way to go for good tasting sushi. Price is extreme for what it is. Definitely Tumbs down.

The ambience and atmosphere were very nice along with the staff. Happy Hour is daily from 3-6. We ordered the Volcano roll (originally $19) a Spicy Salmon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll along with Tuna and Salmon Nigiri which are not on the happy hour menu. The quality of the fish is pretty solid for South Texas and was impressive. However, the sushi rice was a bit hard making the sushi dry. We were able to get the Volcano roll for $9.5 which is fair but $19 being the original price is pretty wild. Overall the experience was solid during happy hour and if you re in the area craving sushi. I m sure the other seafood options at Water Street are good quality.

Recieved a Spider Roll said to contain soft shell crab, carrot, green leaf, cucumber, avocado & eel sauce. The green leaf was iceberg lettuce, the avocado and eel sauce was not in the roll. The sushimi I ordered was cut so thin in order to save money that all 6 pieces added up to 2 pieces at every other place I have been. Go to Umiya or anywhere else if you want sushi. Waterstreet is a great experience but dont get this sushi.

Annoyingly bad service experience. Waited forever to order. Person after person dodged helping. Finally ordered. Handed a ticket to sign with a tip line on it right in front of the person I m tipping?!? Waited forever to get the food. Went to get it myself. Dodged service by a few more staff. Turned out our food was sitting at the counter. Finally got the food which was missing things I d asked for. Surrounded by a group of laughing employees on the way out the door. None acknowledged our existence or said thank you. They were too busy taking their jobs for granted.

Second time here today, late afternoon and service was extremely poor. We arrived at the counter and was told it would be just a minute, instead it was 10 minutes of standing there while many team members walked by and repeatedly said someone will be right with you . We ordered 2 bowls of Poke and waited another 20 minutes and still no food, we walked back to the counter and turns out our bowls had been ready, just waiting? Would ve been nice to see teamwork instead of everyone standing around. Thankfully the food was good.

Volcano roll was great, tasty. Dragon roll was ok, the seared on the outside salmon was a weird texture which I didnt care for. Tea needed more ice, ice was almost gone when I recieved it, in 5 minutes the tea was warm. Flies swarm you due to the dirty tables with leftover food being left a long time (the table next to us was cleared as we were finishing the meal and there was no one there when we had arrived) Waitstaff have to go up a steep flight of stairs which i feel likely impacts service as they are quite steep. Felt it could have been better for the price and salmon fresher.

Best seafood in town and acceptable prices, sort of. But compared to other restaurants in the area, the oysters, shrimp, and fish are fresh guaranteed. Make sure you ennjoy 1/2 price off on oysters on half shell and sushi (dine in). Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Sarah was my friend at the bar and shes been graceful and answered my questions with great info. Great chef; the caliente soup was excellent with health loaded ingredients. Loved it! It continues to be my favorite in spite of shrunken space and hiked up prices... The outside ambience is charment=charming! Take a few minutes to walk around and look at the oyster wall at the bar. Enjoy!

The vive in this place is so cute those are the first words my teammate said. The concept is great, as you order the sushi at front and go find a place to seat in the second floor, then they bring it up to you. Whenever we come downtown, my husband and I always say we should check this place out. This is always after stuffing our face at surf club haha and so we leave it to the next time. We decided to come here on Sunday and we were not disappointed. Prices are reasonable for good sushi! We got the classic rolls...Philadelphia Roll, spicy tuna, and a spicy salmon. All amazing. Ok, This is a just on every CC Texas trip. It seems like we are here and the last stop is Water Street. They had 2 restaurants in SA. When Pappaduexs bought Lubys and the buildings Water Street was in they consolidated the chain and focus in their core in CC. TRY IT.

I loved this place, the ambiance was great, the hostess Madeleine was so professional, courteous and so nice, the Christmas lights a delight!! The Philadelphia Roll was delicious, the strawberry margarita was scrumptious and those Fried Pork Dumplings so light and crispy, everything was so delicious!
