No new plants for fall in nursery area: Only half dead roses and a few purslane. Pet food area full of rats. They scrambled to the rafters when i walked through. Id be afraid of them giving my critter some disease.

I didnt see any clients in the store. Two clerks on the phone. Stood in front of one talking to a potential customer and totally ignored the customer that was in the store ready to make a purchase. Walked out going to straight to Home Depot.

I go to Sutherlands often since I live close by. I just bought a window unit ac from them last weekend. I woke up this morning and the ac wouldn t power on. I called them and they told me I could return it. And they took the ac back and replaced it with no hassle. I ll continue to shop Sutherlands of Corpus Christi

Its a really big store, and they have a little bit of everything, but all their prices are much higher than Home Depot. Rust-Oleum oil-based paint is $7 higher a gallon. They had a 50% off sale on shrubs and trees but the price is so high half price is what you would pay any way somewhere else. All their plants were blowing over in the wind, the flowers didnt look so great. Some of the hanging baskets were okay. I did find me two bushes that were $37 so half of that, 18.50 a piece, thats not too bad. Its a good place to go to if youre in the area and you need something but I wouldnt shop there on a regular basis the prices are too high.

I have always liked Sutherlands but after today I am disgusted with the Corpus Christi, Tx location. I was shopping at Walmart across the street so my son went to look around in Sutherlands. As I was putting my groceries in the car I see my son walking to the car and then I see a man running toward him like he was fixing to tackle my son. I point and yell Hey. The man gets close enough for me to see he is a Sutherlands employee and he starts yelling What does he have? My son is wearing basketball shorts with no pockets and a shirt. He has nothing else with him. The employee screams across the parking lot saying I know he took something!. Everyone in the parking lot is now looking at us. We are completely embarrassed. I say He doesnt have anything!. The worker then says You want me to call the cops?. I answer Go ahead he doesnt have anything!. I then say Call the cops and when you are proven wrong you owe my son a public apology.. At this point I want him to call the police so they can come and confirm that we have nothing from Sutherlands with us and now I want an apology. I forgot to mention I dropped and cracked my phone amid the chaos. So I will admit I am angry. The employee puts his phone away and starts walking away back toward Sutherlands obviously realizing he was wrong. I am calling the cooperate office and reporting the incident. At the very least they should apologize and offer to fix my phone or something along those lines. I dont think this the way they should treat people. I hope this helps when deciding which hardware to visit. I know Ill be taking my business elsewhere and letting my friends and family knows they should do the same.

I stopped by sutherlands on staples after about 25 years since i been there since i moved out to calallen and decided to go check out some camo jackets so i can get my son one and i tried it on because it had that wool material inside so i wanted to try it on to see if it would itch before i bought it because i dont want him to be itchy and i had it on while i was on the phone with my grandson trying to help him over the phone with some issues he had on his phone and one of the workers just following me as if i was fonna stealba 24.99 jacket and he kept following me as i was on the phone with my grandson until i told him if there was a problem and he said yes i said what is it you think im stealing believe me im not trying to sreal a cheapy jacket i have values.

I went looking for ceramic border tiles. It was pretty slow there but had a wonderful manager help me. He was super helpful and the price was much cheaper there than lowes and Home Depot. I m so glad I went over there. He even helped me load up my items. Thank you very much.

Isles were mislabeled so finding what i wanted was difficult, staff wasnt sure where the material i needed was, then qaited for 20 mins in line to check out while 5 people behind one desk talked before they saw they needed to open another cashier, i wouldnt recommend this place unless you have nithing to do but walk around and search, or stand in line for a long period. Eish there was a zero stars.

I went there off TV commercials regarding trees & shrubbery on sale, found exactly what I wanted, excellent choices, & courteous employees to help. I really enjoy shopping around all the great items they carry with DYI supplies, & more. I do wish however they would install other products purchased. Store recommended.

Every single employee that was there was very helpful and if they didnt know they were quick about getting someone who did know.. They jus didnt tell me the isle number & let me go search for it . They helped me pick out too.They helped me get each item that i needed for my diy project.. Sutherlands is a great place to shop I can guarantee you can find the oddball miscellaneous craziest screws nuts bolts washers that the other stores don t carry Sutherlands is the alternative for the big box store and always you can find something there and they are a little cheaper than the other places

Found what I wanted and needed. Price was not too bad and got price reduced by 20%, which was even better. Young man assisting was helpful and nice, wish I had asked his name but didnt think to at that moment. Aisles clean. Cashiers dont take checks made out in large amounts, so had to pay with bank or charge card. That can be a bummer for some but not cashiers fault when store policy. All in all a good experience. Will buy from there again.

My husband and I just bought a fixer upper near Sutherlands. At first we were going to Lowe s and their customer service was horrible, so I decided to check out Sutherlands. When I first went in I needed to buy paint for my house, the lady that helped me, I think Sharron was her name, she was wonderful and knowledgeable . I went out with everything I needed to paint the whole house. She deserves 5 stars!! That is the only nice thing I have to say about Sutherlands. I am 53 years old and had to load my own lumber for a wooden fence and it was a lot of wood. Tried to get help and the employees would just turn the other way. It happened when I bought my windows as well, thankfully Sharron from paint walked by and helped me. Today was the last time I ever go into that store other than to get my paint!

We came to return some brackets and were treated like criminals by the Manager. Implying the brackets we were returning were rusted ( they werent). Thats fine no big deal but we were looking for the correct brackets for our deck and proceeded to go look for brackets we did need. We had no luck then proceeded to leave and were stopped by the Manager again so he could look into the bag of brackets he implied were rusted. As if we were stealing, we dont steal we hard working people work for a living. Home depot and Lowes will be our place to shop!!!
