Everything about this place is just AMAZING! I happened to just stumble on it because my 8 yr old needed to use the restroom and I found a hidden gem! It reminds me of a diner from the movie Grease. All their food is fresh and cooked to perfection. The employees are the sweetest and the decor is like a travel back in time. I have yet to find a dish that I havent liked.

This was our first visit here and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Stopped on a whim, weve been driving by so many times. We were here for our evening meal and my wife had turkey and dressing and I had chicken and dumplings. The turkey was hand pulled from fresh roasted turkey and was fantastic. The cornbread dressing was also great. My chicken and dumplings were also very good with big homemade dumplings and just the right amount of seasoning to give it a good bite. With food this good and obviously homemade we will be back. Oh bty the malt was good also. Cant wait to try their breakfast

Stop by to get milkshakes because outside was car shows, my son even was let sit inside of one El Camino and hit the gas pedal. But soon as we walked in, there were a lot of people inside, and the lady walking around and telling people that it was gonna be some time to wait for 25- 30 min so we left . That is why I give only 2 on service .

Been before food was better, but todays visit left me thinking why I stopped in. Had chicken fried chicken which breading was extremely over season, chicken was only thing on plate hot. Green beans were cold, potatoes were cold and hard. Three dollars for a glass of tea for cup size that would hold maybe 12 oz. Lunch took more than twenty minutes to arrive when standard for should be less than twelve minutes. So if your in a hurry might not be choice for lunch. Was planning on dessert but sorry ten dollars for a banana split I dont think so.

Overall the meal I rate it as a 6 out of 10. Service was great, waitress was Ms. Kacey and she did absolutely beautiful sweet young lady! Thank you for your service.

Ill start this off with one thing. My husband and I came to Sandis in the past and it was amazing. Fast service, decent and good portions, everything was homemade for the most part. Im not sure what happened, possibly new owners or management but we were severely let down this trip. My husbands orange juice was super tiny, his burger was barely there half of the patty was gone, everything wasnt homemade, we got the smallest orange juice and had to repeatedly ask for condiments because we didnt get them the first time we politely asked or because there was barely any in the portioned cups they give. The syrup tasted odd for my daughters pancakes. It was lackluster. I really dont enjoy giving poor reviews I just was shocked at how much it had changed and how bland and expensive it got.

Decided to try this cute place and the atmosphere was really cute however the food was less appealing my husband had the meat lovers omelette and it tasted and looked like it was a frozen premade egg that was warmed up and was tasteless the hash brown was a square that again was frozen. I had the BLT and asked for cheese on it and it came with shredded cheese not sliced which I found strange but the topper for me was that the entire time we were there the staff were all mopping and moving tables which who wants to smell old mop while eating it just wasn t a great experience and I definitely won t go back. Oh and also a bottle of coke was $4.25??? Our hotel breakfast was better.

Food was awful to say the least!!! No seasoning on anything chilli tastes like it came from a can and dont get me started on the pulled pork we couldnt tell who our server was the tea tasted like water and they didnt have any AC so it was extremely hot. The potential the place has is great if the owner cooks and staff actually took pride in there jobs.

I stopped at this place called Sandis diner. I had tried it when it first opened at its old location and it absolutely sucked. This was years ago and right when it opened so I gave them a pass I guess. I passed by today and saw it at its new location and I said to myself let me give them a try again. I even told the server I want something off the menu that I can go tell me girlfriend we need to go check out this place. Nope, I paid $22.70 not including tip for a double meat with bacon and onion rings with a tea. Patties were overcooked and dry. The bacon and onion rings were also overcooked. So almost $28 bucks later for just myself I will not recommend this place to my girlfriend or anyone. Needless to say I wont be back.

French fries were excellent. My partner had the chicken fried steak, with smashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was a little overcooked, and the green beans needed seasoning. Potatoes were flavorful. We will definitely go back to try other dishes.

Onion rings, fries, and funnel cake fries were really good. Meatloaf was ok and 2 kids meals were reasonable..I thought the 4.25 sprite bottle was too much & the food was ok for the price. The food here is really good, a fair selection of different types of burgers and typical diner food. I specifically went because I wanted to try the funnel cake fries, which were good but after the novelty of it, you realize that a traditional funnel cake is better. I would say maybe half my orders were for the novelty. I would only suggest this if you are sharing with three or more people. We splurged for the hotrod toy for the kids meal. Spoiler alert, if you have a toddler aka toy breaker, you will want to skip this. Its the cute little paper cars that are used for decorations on the center of the table...but definitely not the best for toddlers. Non-destructive children should find them as pretty cute distractions. Everyone enjoyed the food, got the breakfast plate for my son who then decided he didnt want breakfast which is...typical. I would say that if you have toddlers it may not be the best place to take them unless they have a great deal of willpower to stay in their seats with all of the old decorations around the place. Mine...does not. He spent his time being upset that he couldnt touch the toy store. There is a sort of store in here, seems to be mostly retro coke product related but its not the retro decor that is around the whole place. Definitely worth a few visits to try different things on the menu. The customer service isnt the most amazing but the food is good, lots of options, cute decor and a nice local spot. I think it is a nice utilization of the space. Kid-friendliness: There are a lot of toys on display so expect a lot practice with self-control if you have toddlers

Refusing to accommodate a healthier request is ludicrous. After ordering the chicken salad, the waitress returned and apologized, saying they had none. Defeated, I ordered a burger. Waitress claimed pickles would be on the side, and they weren t. Burger was overwhelming greasy, with a buttered bun that left my fingers a mess. The salad itself was good, but the ranch is cheap and store bought. On a positive note, my mom loves the coffee and grandmother enjoyed her waffle. I ll sit this one out next time.

Went right during lunch, no one was in the diner, took them 1.5 hours to serve drinks and food I couldn t take it when the food was cold and had lint on my sandwich, Sandy is dirty and unclean to hold a restaurant that she moved from the hospital area on Elizabeth st to Hamlin pharmacy, huge venue but not good service food or atmosphere and looks bad that they want to move back to their original place after three sisters came in and cleaned it for 3-4 weeks. Sandy is Very very shady

This place is neat and very delicious! However, even though it was very neat, it looked a little more like an antique shop, then an old diner. They told us immediately when we walked in, so it made it easier to swallow, but it took Over 35 minutes to get our food after we had ordered it, and they were not that busy. As long as you have time to wait, it is well worth it.

Really cool place with nostalgia that take you back to a simpler time. The chocolate shake was a little over priced for what I got. It tasted ok at best. Not worth the $8 paid for it. There are better shakes elsewhere.

I had been apprehensive because of an incident a co-worker told me about. I tried it anyway, and here is my review. The atmosphere was fun and reminded me of the dinner in the movie, Grease. It was like a step back in time. The music was 50s and upbeat. Very cute, it made me want to put my poodle skirt on - I loved it!! The hostess was nice, but not too friendly or welcoming. She seemed timid and not knowledgeable of the restaurant or menu items. Maybe, she was new? The service was great. Our server was friendly, outgoing, smiling, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She was what gave this establishment four stars instead of three. The food was hot and fresh. I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was not a frozen patty, so that was a nice surprise. The burger seasoning was different, and the patty was small. The bun was too big for the burger - too much bread (for my liking). The fries were crisp and seasoned well. One thing that made this experience negative for me was a tall blond woman working there who was waking around with a scowl on her face. It was definitely off-putting. Maybe she was having a bad day? Im not sure. I will give the establishment another chance. I will update if my opinion changes.

Literally just popped in to see what this place was to kill time and use the bathroom real quick while waiting for a catering order at Pizza Hut. The girl confronted me right as I walked in, and I told her I had never been in here and that it looked super cute. I then asked if I could use the restroom real quick- she quickly with attitude replied, no, you have to buy something. I get it- dont want people using your restroom, but wether I bought a cookie or not it should not matter- especially for someone who has never been to your establishment. I actually look for snacks to buy all the time for my business, but I will never go by here again given this situation. Also, there are no signs posted as some businesses do let people know, no public bathroom or for paying customers only.

I have tried Sandi s when they were by Santa Fe and it was really good. Which then I had a burger. This time I tried the pork nachos. It was so gross! The pork was reheated and the cheese was not melted. I did tell my waiter I needed more bbq sauce just to mask the reheated taste. He didn t say anything but just bring me more bbq sauce. We went during lunch but there was not many people and we didn t get asked if we needed anything or any refills. The only reason why I got the bbq sauce is because he was walking to another table. Don t let the picture deceive you.

Good little dinner with the atmosphere to match. The food was good and hit the spot for lunch. Floats were tasty and unique. Funnel cake fries were hot and flavorful. I ate the John Wayne burger .....good! The dinner also has a small area with items to purchase from locals. Some items are from the 60s to recent years. The prices are average these days. The dinner also has high chairs and counters with the spinning chairs, too. Huge cinnamon rolls and glass sodas.

This place is super neat in terms of atmosphere and decor, but they need to step it up on the food game. Sooooo disappointed in their food and it was way too pricey for a disappointment. The burgers were super greasy, the hash browns were drenched in grease, the waffle and pancake weren t anything to write home about. Very cute idea all around, I was excited to have this be our favorite diner, but was sorely disappointed. We spent $80 for 2 adults and 1 child. P.S. The ranch dressing is from a bottle.

We finally made it out to Sandis Diner. The food was what we expected. It was good, but not great. The wait was 30 mins to be served, but we were told up front that we would wait that long, so that was nice to know. The atmosphere was quaint. We had the hamburgers that were good. My husband had the biscuits and gravy, but he said the gravy didnt have much flavor. My son had the chili cheese fries, when I asked them how they were he said, They are chili cheese fries... hard to mess up. I ordered a chocolate shake. It was delicious! All in all, a nice local diner. Its on the other side of town for us, so it might be a while before we return.
