This is our 2nd time visiting this place and we really enjoy it. There is a lot of neat art work for sale from local artists. It looks like they even have added event space and a restaraunt or cocktail bar in the building. This is definitely a unique location and its worth coming to check out from time to time.

As a tourist attraction, the galleries at the art center are definitely worth a visit and theres no entrance fee if you choose to do so. This review is primarily for those interested in hosting an event or wedding in one of the available venue spaces. The art center is gorgeous and there are wonderful views in the Bay View room. I would be cautious recommending these venues primarily because the communication regarding rental coordination isnt the best. Other venues we reached out to when trying to get information usually provided us most of what we needed in the first couple of emails. In this case, it took several emails to get all of the needed information, as the coordinator would forget to provide certain documents, or answer questions that were asked. Due to the communication issues, we decided to go with a different venue, but it is a beautiful space.

Oh! My dear Loats Jesus. This is a wonderful place to visit. It has a restaurant to enjoy a great meal. Prices on the painting and crafts are at a great price. I took many pictures to enjoy watching. I will share with you all. I hope this helps. We did not have to pay for entrance. It was free. You will need to ask to make sure. Very nice people out there that are willing to help you out.

Visited the art center off the bay on a whim. The free entry sign enticed us in. The gallery is clean and appointed nicely. It mainly features works from local artists. Has a mix photography and hand drawn/painted works. There are rooms that can be utilized for creating artwork. Location is great. There is a restaurant within the same building.

Although the outside wedding area is absolutely beautiful, the service is very poor. The staff is super slow when it comes to helping guests or the family that hired them. Reception to sit down dinner was not a smooth transaction in fact it took staff to long to get everything situated because there was only 3 of them to move 17 tables and put back the chairS to that table. You have an hour to clean up after your event, which would be okay if staff was on top of their job and cleaning up the tables afterwards. Also manager of the event should be more involved making sure the client stays happy and has everything they need. She sat down the whole time and when asked for necessary items to clean it was like she was bothered. Almost wished she would have chugged that mixed drink the bartender made her maybe then she d loosen up and lose the chip on shoulder. So just to sum it up beautiful venue invest in better staff who are professionals and actually enjoy helping brides make her wedding dreams come to life as this is what it s all about!

So much amazing and local art here! We had the pleasure of visiting during the week and had the whole place to ourselves to enjoy. I m not sure who the gentleman was at the front, but I really appreciate his mentality when we asked him how much the admission fee was and he plainly said something around the lines of, It s free. Art should always be free to enjoy . Thank y all for all the great art and for keeping it free for everyone to enjoy I believe you can also purchase some of art. We will definitely be back. Below are some of my favorite pieces of art!

This art center is ok if you are a tourist looking for a quick stop while downtown/ on the marina. There is a variety of pricing so there is opportunity to bring home something you like. As an artist I have found it to be frustrating, disappointing and a general waste of time and energy to work with this art center. I tend to find juried results consistently baffling. I think it would have been a more positive experience for me to show here when I was a high school artist, not an adult with an education and years of experience. But thats me. If you are an artist I think there are probably better opportunities.

3.6.... It is a nice place to see local art and artists. Free to enter and art for purchase on display. Having a background in art, I was looking forward to seeing the displays and talent. There are truly some great pieces there on canvas, pottery, photography, and other talents. When judging art, you do have a biased opinion no matter what people will tell you. So, with that said, do not look for the ones that were awarded ribbons to meet your same taste. You can see the judges favoritism in medium and style. There are a few too many pieces that are overpriced, yet there also a good amount that are spot on for their style, medium, and labor to create. If you enjoy art and appreciate talent, stop in. Cheers

We were seriously disappointed with this art museum. Part of it was under construction and the front main room had gargantuan blow up characters/animals that looked like it was for kids. A second room included an artists exhibit of dolls made of misc things and an upstairs large room was filled with elementary childrens art. We finally found one room with some beautiful old Catholic paintings.

Downtown Farmers Market is held in the courtyard every Wednesday. They have art time for children during the farmer s market. There are a few different galleries within, and they re always free. I ve seen some really amazing art here. There s a clay studio in the back. You have to have an Art Center membership in order to get a membership at the clay studio. They also offer other art classes such as drawing, jewelry-making, and photography.

The art center is a fantastic non-profit facility that showcases local and regional artists. They change out the artwork monthly or bi-monthly, and its a surprisingly large facility with a wide body of work inside. Youll find predominantly wall art that is painted, drawn, or even mixed media, but they also have some sculptures, pottery, glass, and jewelry.

We went for the family fun art day, it was great. Then afterwards we walked around observing the beautiful art that is displayed. My daughter and I noticed a unique piece and as I was admiring it with my daughter the lady behind the reception desk by the family art room suddenly yelled at me not to touch the art. Her tone was agressive and extremely rude. I explained I was not touching, it was clear and apparent that I was not touching the art, and also she had just heard me tell me tell my 5 year old daughter to keep her hands in her pockets and not touch anything so her reaction and comment was uncalled for. She repeated again that I should not touch the art, again in a rude and aggressive tone. I repeated again that I was not touching simply pointing. She then proceeded to seemingly take a cardboard (or something) to a room near where we were walking around and made me feel as though she was following us around. Again a action uncalled for. This a beautiful place in an amazing location full of amazing works of art that allow the public to see them at no cost at all, but the art director should speak to the employees about how they speak to the patrons, or potential customers. I noticed many beautiful peices for sale, I could have been a potential customer looking for some art to purchase, or perhaps wanting to make a donation (as I noticed the center takes donations in order to keep their doors open and Im sure to fund thier many events such as family fun day) and this employee could have caused me to change my mind with her aggressiveness.

All of my Pinterest dreams came true booking this place for my fairly large wedding and the courtyard was absolutely beautiful. Sarah was so helpful and understanding when it came to putting together my special day. I was able to bring in my own vendors and go with her best recommendations. The best part of booking this place is that youre able to help out with the community! There is plenty of space to celebrate and plenty of parking for guests. Definitely the place to go in Corpus Christi for a wedding!!
