Since they do not know how to call back or communicate, maybe from this review, they will change their ways. After my initial contact with them, they did well, then 5 months passed by without no contact, no answering emails or calls. I had surgery so I did receive 100% but when I had eval, they couldn t fully evaluate my knee and then dropped to 80%. 8 months after surgery, I asked to have reeval on knee because I was having issues. I talked to case manager for about 40min explaining everything, then nothing for almost 3 months, then i talk again and she did nothing but assure me it would be filed, then nothing. I call again, get a male this time, he apologizes, says he will get it filed that same week, then nothing. I have to call again, wait for response, explain for the 4th time the problems I was having with my knee. I started asking in Aug, this is now the end of March and claim was finally filed. There were several claims, but nothing about my knee. I finally went to the office because I couldn t get call back when I received the papers for my exams and nothing was mentioned about my knee. They acted like no one ever goes into the office which was tiny, didn t go into an office to discuss my case, they brought them out to the waiting room and I explained again, about my knee and why was I having an exam about depression and migraines? They acted like they had no idea what they were doing and told me they will ask those questions at exam, which they did not. No guidance, no communication. Just saw the claim letter and nothing about knee, no increase. I feel I just wasted a year because they do not communicate, do not listen, and do not care! This review has nothing to do with the compensation I recieved with my first claim, this review is how they treat veterans and the lack of compassion and respect. You don t drop the ball 4 /5 times and and say oops. Did they even read and understand my medical records. I could have easily come in to the office and showed them everything in my records. Their processes are broken. DO BETTER

Don Warren is the absolute best. I really had no high hopes of getting anything from the VA. The process takes forever. But Don, bless him, stayed with my claim and made sure it had every piece of paper required. He followed through for three years and kept in contact with me every step of the way. His persistence paid off! The claim was finally settled and will make a huge difference for the rest of my life!!! I cant recommend Don Warren any more highly! He is also any an amazingly caring person!!! God Bless him!

from a 23yr retired Navy man i had a hard time finding what to to but Janet Sapio helped me in every way she could and i received what i was suppose to from the VA she worked so hard even tho she and her company was not receiving any pay for my first claim they did me right and she was awesome she called me many time just to check on me and see if i need anything she could do. if you take anything from this Janet Sapio was one of the hardest working people i have ever had the pleasure of working with and she really cares more than most people would. i am just running at the mouth now but she is great ask for her you will never be on the back burner with her.

From no claim to 100%.. it took 2 appeals 1 HLR and lots of C and P exams. Janet Sapio really knows her stuff! I understand that they are busy helping other anxious veterans so their communications back and forth with every veteran I am sure is hard to keep up with and thats the only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars. This review is neither good nor bad. That s why it s a three. I ve been working with Gumps for the last two years. They have been able to get me to 70%. I am super thankful for that! BUT! That s where the good stops. Their communication is terrible. No follow ups to the emails, no return phone calls. They submit claims without you knowing. I just had one go to the VBA Board of Appeals and never knew until I got an email from them. No discussion was ever had about this. There has been no guidance from day one through now. My education has been from YouTube. It has been a shotgun effect. Throw everything out there and see what sticks. The only person I ve ever spoken to has has been my case manager. I ve never spoke to my attorney, Allen. There s so much information out there for you to research on your own. Do yourself a favor and Do a lot of research first. Try looking up The CivDiv on Facebook and YouTube FIRST! Educate yourself. Then if you feel you need compensation services reach out to Gumps VA. If you need to go to the board, try Gumps VA. No experience with them and the Board of Appeals yet but we ll see how it goes in 3 years. I can t complain too much as I am at 70%. But I would want you all to know my experience with them.

Amazing work. They are the best. I see reviews of people complaining of no contact which I understand, yes contact is sporadic but they are really working hard in the background. I left them do their thing and it worked perfectly for me. It took only 2 years to go from 0% to 100%.

I would completely stay away from this company. I have been awaiting my VA settlement for over 3 years now and since they are so good at their jobs they get 20%. I have never received a single phone call from them in those 3 years. I have called them every time and they hardly ever respond to your voicemail. Absolutely ridiculous the service they offer for what you actually get.

This law firm came highly recommended to me. But I chose not to use them at first. And I am so happy that I came to my senses. They are so easy to work with. And have made my claim stress free. I gave them my information, they said we got it. If we need you, we will give you a call. They keep me up to date, with additional claims they have placed on my behalf. Gumps VA compensation services took my claim in April of 2022 and had me my 100% in less than a year, which is the fasted claim that I have ever heard of. I met Janet, by chance, in the Food City store. She asked me if I was a veteran and explained to me who she worked for and what they did. She did not pressure me, but gave me a card and told me to think about it and give her a call if I decided to persue my claim with them. After thinking about it I contacted her and give her all the info she needed. Janet and her team took it from there and got my claim settled in a very short period of time. Janet and her team were very professional. polite, and kept me well informed of what they wer e doing and what I needed to do. I recently received notice from the Board of Veterans Appeals, Evidence Intake Center. Conclusion of Law - Entitlement to Service Connection is GRANTED. It was a long and hard fight by Gumps V.A. Claims Services, LLC. Conroe, Texas. Compensation - Declined, Declined, Declined. Down to the wire and only one chance left and the final decision was up to me. Did I Hesitate, YES. Anxiety was running high. Then I thought about what I had always said in times of worry or stress - Never Quit or Give Up and if theres a chance Take It. Bingo! That was the one that was GRANTED. Im still on Cloud 9. Im very grateful to Attorney Allen Gumpenberger and his team of lawyers, especially Janet Sapio, Case Manager. In matters of VA Compensation There is None Better.

I am a retired army veteran that fought with the VA for 3 years on my own. After signing on with Candice, I received my first increase within a few months. She advised me on some possible new claims and appealed every decision until I was eventually granted Individual Unemployability with a permanent and total status. She is very knowledgeable about how the VA works and what needs to be done to get veteran s all that we are entitled to. I have been pleased with my recent 100 percent PD decision. I believe my expert witness statement for PTSD was also a factor in a favorable decision. The Gump legal collaboration was crucial so that I might focus on education and medical treatment for service connected illnesses. I focused on top 10 claims for both male and female veterans that I qualified for; starting with presumptive service connected conditions. Do not be discouraged. Start with presumptive claims and build from there. My heart dropped when I received 23 denials in one year. This past year, I also received six other denials. In the past 2 years I have gone from homelessness and va pension to a full 100 percent permanent disability rating. Take heart and stay the course.

My husband initially started working with Bryan Held in 2018.Bryan filed a claim and it was denied. He kept asking us to provide medical nexus letters connecting disability. 2019 he filed an appeal and we have never heard from him after that. 2021 we saw that he is still listed as a representative, we asked for him to be removed and we wanted to appoint accredited attorney to represent him with the VA. We reached out to Bryan asking him to remove himself from my husbands VA account and waive his rights to fee since he didn t accomplish anything and he refused. He stated he spent money on medical review that we were never given, mentioned to or given a copy of. We only want you to remove yourself from his account and you refuse to even tho you got nothing accomplished. I hate to waist my time but I had to forewarn future clients. Next stop I am guessing had to be complaint to Office of General Counsel.

Hey Family sorry for taking so long to get back in touch but l have had it up to the moon,with the Department of Defense and the V.A.HEALTH SYSTEM, l never in my life believe that I would be treated this way just like so so many others as we sever and honor this USA military. Only to be walked on and Disrespect by our own peers and upper level officers, like every single thing l am going thru some one messed my life up alone with all 3 familys,familys, that l destroyed with all my mental health problems and the injuries caused by accident happened on military duties and all my civilian jobs plus many different training schools, there is at least over 400 us Army retired E6 checks that are deposited in a safe Account with my name on it because they started sending them around January 1987 until now caused the dated January 3,2022 so now I need a Law firm that will help me take the Department of Defense (uniformservice) and the Veteran Affairs Medical Healthcare system to the Supreme Court to suit them for wrongful treatment of and destruction of military equipment and personnel plus the way they disregard every single piece of property of the United States Government by not doing anything and everything in their Military power to put a stop to living no man behind policy cause once they feel like they have the highest rank,they think they are God.and no one can stop them so they do who ever they have issues with any type of way including destruction of their Military Records and Careers oh wait a minute please dont forget all the family members and support family and friends they are trying to get rid of me please help me no matter how much money I get you have my word l will pay your firms Phoenix alone has so many Veteran and family home less Ness just like me and my family are as of Mar 1,2022

Contacting Gumps is a waste of time. Im sorely disappointed I ever got involved with them. The agents will not communicate even though I sent 6 emails to get status of my claim since June 2021...it is now Jan 2022. I ccd the mgrs and they refuse to respond to voice mails and emails. Allen is THE best VA. Rep that I have ever found. I was having trouble filing my disability claim with the VA.; they gave me every excuse under the sun why it had not went through. Gump had my claims for nearly a year. All I was seeking was assistance with a nexus letter. They were a total waste of time. The office looked more like a nursery than a veteran advocacy service. They were non communicative, and wouldnt even answer for me to leave a message, much less return a call. Instead of focusing on the one claim I originally sought help for, their method was to throw multiple claims to see what sticks. They sent poorly prepared claims to the VA with no statement in support of claim. After many months of inaction, a denial by the VA and non communication by them my time ran out on my claims. Finally, I got an answer from someone in their office, who simply said that they werent going to help me. If I could leave less than 1 star I would.

I would highly recommend Gumps VA Compensation Service! I gave the guys at the DAV try, but they are completely overwhelmed. Gumps has the inside knowledge of how the VA helps and hurts veterans. This is what make it worth paying for real experience, as opposed to overwhelmed but well-meaning volunteers and staff at the DAV. Gumps team give you the confidence to keep on battling for your rights with the VA. They have contacts for medical expert witnesses that they can use if needed. My case manager was Janet Sapio. Janet is very easy to get a hold of, and explains the whole process in your claim, what the VA does at certain points. I havent met a person with such integrity and humility like her in a while! She will bend over backwards for you. I have referred Gumps office to about 20 veterans since I started. Think of all the guys and girls waiting forever to get their claim approved using the DAV. This is not like that process. They build a fully developed claim and send that in. My whole complex claim was finalized in 6 months! Your results may vary, but this firm is the fast lane for VA claims.

I started my case with them almost a year ago and have made no progress. I have called and emailed numerous times yet my communication attempts have all gone unanswered. I understand things are taking longer right now with COVID and I have tried to be understanding, but when 2-3 months go by without a returned call or email I dont know what else to do. My husband began the process of applying for service related disability and hit road block after road block for many years. As soon as the Gump VA team was brought on board, progress was immediate. The team was very communicative and patient with our many questions. The final result was beyond our wildest dream. My husbands service related disability was finally acknowledged and the deserved compensation was awarded. We couldnt have done it without Alan Gumpenberger and his team. We highly recommend them.

I would like to take this time to personally thank Gumps VA Disability Group. They recently helped me achieve 100 % TDIU, and are working hard on helping me achieve my 100% scheduled rating. I tried on my own for over 12 years, and ran into every roadblock imaginable. Gumps VA took my case when others turned me down. I really wouldn t have had a chance at getting a 100% rating without them. I was only able to gain 60% on my own. I am very grateful to have a Case Manager like Janet Sapio. She ensured all my paperwork was completed and turned in on time, and went the extra mile to always call me and let me know what was going on at all times. I just only wished I knew about Gumps Va Disability years ago. They are very knowledgeable about all things relating to VA Disabilty, and will not stop til they get the Veteran the rating which they deserved.

It was a pleasure having Gumps V.A. Compensation work for me.Allen Gumpenburger did an outstanding job handling my claims he was very understanding to my problems I had with my issues from my service injuries. he worked diligently on getting me an outstanding rating and lots of money. Janet Sapio my case Manager was very helpful when Allen wasnt around to help understand the legal part of my claim and was very attentive to my needs and what I didnt understand and would break it down until I did understand I would truly recommend them to any Veteran who was having problems to getting the benefits they deserve.
